I think that it is safe to say that I am a rather paranoid person. I'm always thinking about possible scenarios which may cause the end of the world, one of these scenarios is the Yellowstone super volcano erupting.If the Yellowstone volcano was to erupt than it would almost completely destroy the North American continent and it would also cast a shadow of ash across the world causing famine and a significant drop in the world temperature. The yellowstone volcano also happens to overdue for an eruption luckily for us it hasn't erupted yet but what if it did in the year 1980 when the world was still on the edge of nuclear warfare, how has humanity recovered and how has this effected the political landscape? This is the world that I welcome you to, welcome to the scorched Earth.
History
In the year 1980 the world was on the brink of destruction. The two great powers of the world have brought the Earth near to death on multiple occasions however beneath the Earth a force far more powerful than whatever weapon they could of wielded. On the 18th of May, 1980 the Yellowstone caldera once an ideal holiday destination filled with wildlife and lush green forests erupted in a huge explosion of magma and fire. The yellowstone national park was not the only thing to be decimated as huge pyroclastic cloud began to spread across America destroying anything in it's path.
America was quickly turned into a fiery hellscape and the main force of democracy in the world was chocked under a cloud of ash. For a short while the men in the Kremlin celebrated, toasted to the destruction of America and prepared plans to bring Europe under their control, however from America came a huge cloud of ash that blocked out the sun completely for 6 whole months. What ensued after the cloud of ash came was anarchy, famine and the collapse of all civilization but Humanity was not to beaten so easily for the world did not descend into barbarism that year instead the world began to repair itself.
Now 37 years later and civilization has returned in full force. Of course the world temperature has been reduced to -3 degrees as an average and America still remains as a wasteland, home to only roaming tribes who mourn the loss of their great nation but still now that the world has returned to stability it is time to reclaim the lost glory of Humanity.
