The Imperial Armoury Company is a privately-owned government contractor for the production of small arms and artillery. It was originally founded under the name of the Imperial Small Arms and Rifle Company (ISA&R) in 1787, by a group of twelve investors and gun makers. From its inception in 1787 to 1798 the company produced civilian hunting muskets and rifles, as well as a number of children's toys. When the government initiated a series of extensive reforms in 1799 for the infantry branch of the Imperial Army, large numbers of government contracts were given to arms companies to design and produce various small arms, sabres, artillery, and other military equipment. The Imperial Small Arms and Rifle Company received a contract to design and produce a standard-issue smoothbore firearm, along with seventeen other companies. After a series of tests and competitions, the ISA&R design was adopted to be the Army's new standard-issue musket. Soon after, in 1801, the company changed its name to the Imperial Armoury Company, when it also expanded production into other various military equipment, such as cannons, swords, cavalry equipment, military clothing, and even toys. The Imperial Armoury Company is the number one producer of small arms for the Imperial military, and the third largest producer of artillery pieces. Besides providing for the government of New Equestria, the Imperial Armoury Company also produces under private and foreign contracts, as well as maintaining a presence in the civilian sector. The Company owns three arms factories, a cannon foundary, twenty two offices, a private arsenal, and a significant number of small gunsmiths and tailor shops. In order to streamline communications, we have a pre-written letter provided for your convenience, but you are welcome to write us your own. We only ask that you include all the necessary information we require to complete your purchase. Special orders can also be accepted, though at additional cost, and should we find the design a good one, we may adopt it as a standard pattern weapon (simply acknowledge if you wish for us to do so). Weapons can be purchased in bulk under a contract, or individually, though for munitions there is a minimum on the purchased quantity for the order to be accepted (this is listed per munition). All orders are shipped under a flag of civil neutrality, recognized by all nations, so their safe passage is ensured. If you still desire, we offer two insurance plans available for purchase up to the ship day of your order.

Insurance Plans
Plan 1 (half coverage)
Will cover up to 50% of shipment's total worth. Will only cover against "acts of nature". Coverage only good for the duration of the shipment's delivery period. Requires 500 NSD up front, payment of 25% of shipment's worth, and a premium of an additional 250 NSD for every week shipment will be en route, or 50 NSD per day (if length of time is under a week or does not round evenly). Only valid for contract purchases. Once insurance has been purchased it cannot be canceled.
Plan 2 (full coverage)
Will cover up to 100% of shipment's total worth. Will only cover against "acts of nature". Coverage only good for the duration of the shipment's delivery period. Requires 1,000 NSD up front, payment of 50% of shipment's worth, and a premium of an additional 500 NSD for every week shipment will be en route, or 50 NSD per day (if length of time is under a week or does not round evenly).
