This has a technical reason, namely that the maximum length of a vessel, which we can construct is limited by the length of our largest docks, which are 265 metres long (not to mention, that some of the equipment you want to have installed is outdated even by our standards).

However, if that is wished, we can start work on an Imperial-II-class Aircraft Carrier for you - specifications as I as forelady of Yard 15 envision them are attached below. Please tell us, what you think.
Furthermore, Miss Cumann informed me about the special arrangements concerning equipment that you and her made and we will keep that in mind when it comes to equipping the vessels intended for the Imperium.

it is with greatest regret and deepest apologies, that I must inform you about the decision of Yard 15 to not accept your order for the St. Jimmy-class Library Vessel due to our inability to construct this vessel here in Silverport. The maximum length of any vessel constructed at SDY's Yards is 265 metres due to dock limitations.
However, attached to this mail, you'll find a rough draft of a proposal for a St. Jimmy-II-class Library Vessel, smaller, cheaper, more capable and with larger storage capacities for books. The cost estimate for such a vessel would be at 325 million NSD. Please tell us, what you think.

This proposal is mostly acceptable, but we must make a few changes. Perhaps it would be helpful to explain our mission/purpose. We intend to have this grand library ship with all kinds of literature and articles sail throughout the world visiting port cities for somewhere between one week and one month at a time, so that patrons will have adequate time to finish at least one book should they choose. patrons will not be allowed to leave with library materials at any time, but may take or leave books at the donation center. All books in the donation center will be entirely free. It is not necessary to have lodging or amenities for passengers because there won't be any, notwithstanding the crew. We must apologize for our incorrect length requirements, we saw it mentioned in the storefront but didn't realize we had passed it. We have also taken notice of the fact the you have named the secondary version of the ship the "St.Jimmy II Class". While we take no issue with different names being used to distinguish between different drafts, we must ask that the final product is indeed named the St.Jimmy Class. We will also confirm that the price without books is acceptable and that;1.We ourselves will likely fill the library with the majority of articles and that, 2. we understand that these new additions will likely increase the cost of the ship, and that this price should still be well within our means. With all that being said we must finally ask for a few additions if we may. We must also apologize for all the inconveniences we have caused during this process. We thank you for your patience.
We would like to add and confirm that:
-The ship will contain a single imax theater room for viewing of documentaries.
-A microfiche center for reading of old newspapers and such.
-A Genealogy center which may aid people in researching their history without necessarily travelling the globe.
-A public garden allowing for people from across the globe to learn gardening and farming skills.

you caused no inconvinience, so there is nothing to apologize for. In fact, I look forward to working on this project as this is not something we have every day.
On to the matter at hand, those changes and proposals are manageable and can be implemented - without changes in the costs of the St. Jimmy-class Library Ship (I'm afraid we must insist on the addition of the 'Library Vessel' for administrative purposes and customer comfort, however, the numerical addition will not be in the final name of the vessel, as requested). It will also not change the amount of books stored aboard, 300,000 books is actually a more conservative estimate based on a more spacious library layout as it is used at the University Library of the University of Silverport.
As mentioned, I look forward to working on this vessel, constructing it and supervising it being built.
