I kind of wrote myself into a corner waiting for Ryker's post T~T, so I am thinking of waiting out the posts.

That or I guess I can reply to Rev, but the fact that Nestor cares so little about the opinions of non-Luminated makes me feel like I would be breaking Nestor's character. Still, if there are enough posts concerning Rev, I will also jump into the conversation.

Hmmm... I was writing about how "Nestor is basically a racist, so it would not make sense for him to talk to others in the mess hall," but that is also breaking Nestor's character since Nestor doesn't treat others like they don't exist, but as a bunch of children. It would make sense for Nestor to get into thick of things and converse.

I think I will post at first availability. It will take some time for me to break into Nestor's persona, this one thinks. ;;;

Bio: Zarakas was born on the Yst frontier world of Yorira and the planet had just finished being terraformed. His clan, clan Urrus was one of the major clans of the planet that fought endlessly with other clans. He showed at a young age a talent for magic and was trained as a mage. When he was old enough, Zarakas was sent into combat and he found he liked to fight in close quarters, despite being a mage. Though liking combat, Zarakas when he could, also liked to stargaze. He started to think, about what it was like going into space and he always knew the odds of that having was never. Since Yst don't build space ships because they could just open a portal to a world. Though like all Yst, followed the Yst code and was content in the endless wars with themselves. But. decades of endless fighting surprisingly made Zarakas think about things and it came to a head after a rare encounter with another race.

Zarakas was resting when he and a group was sent on a mission to investigate a ship that had crashed landed in Clan Urrus territory. Zarakas was surprised by the news and was curious to why a ship would be near Vorira. Zarakas and his group found the the ship still smoking and went inside to investigate. They found at first nothing but, dead bodies and destroyed bits of cargo. Zarakas found the bridge and found the rest of the crew. The survivors after the crash had gathered in the bridge while trying to get a message out for rescue. When Zarakas entered the bridge, the crew which was human stopped at what their were doing and looked at Zarakas. Zarakas noticed that some of them had weapons and when Zarakas started to speak. A shot was fired and it missed him by a inch. He turned to the direction of the shot and saw a human shakily holding a pistol. Zarakas rushed him and as the human realized his mistake. The human was too scared to resist Zarakas knocking the pistol out of his hand and Zarakas grabbing him. As Zarakas was about to kill the human, he hesitated as he saw fear in the humans eyes. He realized that the human fired out of fear, not aggression and he decided on knocking the human out. The crew looked both scared and surprised and after Zarakas set the unconscious human down. The guards were about to fire but stopped when the captain ordered not to fire after seeing Zarakas knock out his crew member. The captain knew enough about the Yst to know that Zarakas should have killed that crew member.

Then Zarakas turned to the rest of the crew and asked who are they. The captain realizing that his crew may have dodged a bullet. He told Zarakas that they are traders who got ambushed by pirates. They had to make a blind jump and were forced to crash land on Yorira. Also that they had managed to contact a friendly ship nearby and was heading to pick them up in a few days. Zarakas seeing that none of his group heard the shot and making sure that the humans would not saying anything about. Reported back with his group the news and the clan decided on guarding the ship it's till the rescue ship picked up the survivors. Mainly to keep a eye on the traders and to make sure that they leave Yorira. Zarakas and his group were assigned to be the guards which his teammates did not like. Though this allowed Zarakas to think about what to do now.

He knew that if any of his group found the humans and with the shot in mind. The humans should have died and and and the he broke the code by not doing so. This had a profound effect on him and he thought about what to do. Zarakas had some problems with the the Yst code. He did not see the value of attacking harmless civilians in war among others aspects of the code. While he understood why his race had endless wars with itself, he knew that in the long run of his life. He would not be satisfied with it if his only enemies are his own people. Plus, there was the idea old desire to travel in space and the rescue ship did give him a rare opportunity to do so if he did it right. Zarakas after thinking about it, he made his decision. When the rescue ship would arrive to pick up the humans. He would secretly board the ship and leave Yorira. Which he managed to do with the humans help. After leaving the traders Zarakas was able to find work as a mercenary and was hired by the Celestial Maiden.

Weapon(s): One-hand lighting-infused warhammer.
Abilities: S Lighting and earth magic. The earth magic is defensive with him summoning a wall of rock that can protect himself and two others. But, he needs enough earth to in order to use it can't use it and can't really use it in ships or space stations. The lighting magic is single target only and is weak against armor. The damage of a lighting bolt depends on Zarakas who can make it either kill or stun a target.

Personality: Zarakas follows his own version of the Yst code which he will follow till death. As a result he never kills civilians and only kills his foes. He tolerates aliens because he knows he has to after becoming a mercenary. Though he is still wary of talking to aliens and holds grudges.

She cannot pronounce the name of her species. Instead of Sah-ef’, she pronounces it as Sigh-f. She cannot distinguish between the vowel sounds of Lay and Lie, Say and Sigh, Let and Light, etc. This can create interesting misunderstandings as she can say: “Will you let me?” but it sounds like she’s saying “Will you light me?”

Chet-Chet’s name, due to her heavy accent, will end up being pronounced by her as Jaiat-Jaiat. I’m sure there will be plenty more misunderstandings to come, and with her regional dialect of Saef’, this mission’s gonna be fun.
