Lucas mouthed a silent "Oh" as he stared down the bardiche-gun barrel. Even he knew getting hit with that at close range likely wouldn't be good for the health. A normal person would likely try to dodge by diving out of the way fo the barrel and continuing to move to make them harder to hit. But considering how Lucas was nearly point blank to the bardiche barrel and Lucas would be a big target even while moving... well trying to dodge probably wouldn't work out too well for him.

Instead Lucas swung his left arm with his shield upwards and outwards hitting the barrel in an attempt to knock the bardiche out of the way. Immediately after hitting the bardiche Lucas stepped in closer to Rusty and made a side swing with his axe from the right towards Rusty's abdomen.

Following through with the swing he flipped his wrist around to allow him to counter-swing back up and to the right across his opponent's chest.

Tehoronianhen chuckles. “Don’t worry, I’ve had worse places to bed down.” He looks at her with a genuine smile on his face, now. “And thanks, Reina. I mean that.”

He looks down at his broken leg again, wincing as he does so. Thank God I took field medicine… His Aura, now reactivated, has already staunched the bleeding but certainly won’t automatically realign the bone. That he must do himself - and it will take care. Damn their brittleness. I do love my wings but even so…

Tehoronianhen reaches into his jacket pocket, pulling out a bottle of painkillers in pill form, then unscrews it and takes one. Replacing the bottle, he takes a clip of ammunition from his belt and, removing a bullet, first triggers the kinetic Dust, letting the energy dissipate harmlessly into the air around him, and then the ice Dust to form a small slab of ice that he applies to his leg.

Now comes the waiting. “Hey, Reina, could you find some solid, fairly straight branches for a splint? I don't exactly want this breaking again...”

Reina de Mazelle

"Yeah sure," she replies, rolling her eyes. "This is going to cost you even more, and you know I always call in my favors."

As she sets out snapping off some long hanging branches that might be suitable, Reina can't help but wonder why she's even being helpful at all. She's out here in the forest in the first place because she's been waiting for a signal that the plan was being put into motion, yet here she is helping tend to an injured member of Ozpin's little circle.

Tehoronianhen grins. Yep, definitely still the same old Reina. “Yes, yes I do.”

He drums his fingers against the forest floor, waiting for his companion to finish stripping off the branches. “Well, I guess I may as well begin paying you back now... What do you want to know? I'm not sure just how far you're out of the loop.”
