There's already a Trump megathread.Luminesa wrote:Yes they are. Unfortunately they will not give me street cred.
I dunno, for what it's worth you'd earn street cred with me if you had Belgian waffles.
But only if they're drowned in syrup.

You act like Mussolini did all the fighting single-handedly.
As head of government and someone who insisted on heading almost all of the ministerial offices, Mussolini had large control of the front, and was the ultimate arbiter of the resources that went into it. His preparation for the invasion was so lazy and ill-planned that it was karmic justice it turned into a total humiliation for the army.
"Let's divert resources from a major war with a colonial power into a theater of operations we're not going to pay any attention to!"
He deserved to be shot, for stupidity.

Eh... alright, I'll concede that Mussolini was a terrible strategist.

Eh, I don't think that's accurate. Ciano was executed along with other members of the Grand Council who voted against Mussolini mainly because he wanted revenge. Mussolini was quite bipolar on the issue, he went from wanting him shot to pretending that Hitler "forced" him. To be honest, it's hard to mourn Ciano's death or feel sorry for him in any capacity. He was corrupt and nepotist, and he originally planned to replace Mussolini with a new Fascist government with himself, Grandi, and another coup leader as a triumvirate.Sanctissima wrote:-Regularly betraying close allies and friends for stupid reasons
Yes. This is true.Sanctissima wrote:-Approving of (albeit briefly) Lenin
"Briefly." no, not quite. Mussolini's admiration for Lenin and Bolshevism went on well until his death, he just liked to hide it when it was politically opportune. One of the most bloodthirsty Fascist squadrons was named the "Ceka," and Mussolini told the son of a Republican senator in the thirties that "Fascism and Communism are the same."Sanctissima wrote:-Quintessentially founding Italian Fascism because he lost his job editing Avanti
No. That's a downright wrong characterization of the founding of the Fascist movement.Sanctissima wrote:-Being even more of a yandere gf for Hitler than Eva
Actually it's the other way around. Hitler had a creepy yandere relationship with Mussolini. According to one general, Hitler would look at Mussolini like a woman would a man, making several of the military staff uncomfortable and have to avert their eyes out of embarrassment.

Because they love their religion and want people to understand and appreciate it as much as they do?
Unless they're just in it to be judgemental and Russian supremacists, which I'm 100% sure UMN is.
Letting people have sexual reassignment surgery and getting married is not going to result in rape being legalized.
Hopefully we get rid of Christianity one day. [1]
The West has been spiritually dead for thousands of years. It's why Christianity and Islam managed to spread. [2]
Nah, Christianity isn't evil. It's just a lot more superficial and selfish than most other religions. [3]
If only you realized the irony,
Felrik.
If I am an unpleasant human being, which I may well be when dealing with a thread of such unlikable folk as you all, then it would have nothing to do with my religion or ideology (whatever the latter is).

@War Gears, I apologise for the wait, I intended to submit this response earlier but I previewed the post whilst the RWDT IX was locked, which I didn't take notice of, so the work was lost; the fact that I couldn't quote your post didn't help with time, either.Because they love their religion and want people to understand and appreciate it as much as they do?

Obviously not, seeing as Parkus has stated that Orthodoxy is not interested in the sympathy, and probably approval too, of the world.
Look at all this hatred for Christianity, we're going to need to bring back blasphemy laws to charge me with all this slander.
You may defend the accomplishments of Christianity, but that does not take away from the fact that you do not take Christianity seriously outside of its accomplishments. This is very clearly illustrated through other posts of yours:Letting people have sexual reassignment surgery and getting married is not going to result in rape being legalized.
