Well Alice Kosa was open about her identity as a meta. Literally all she has done to hide herself is change her surname and get a job people wouldn't expect her to do (beat cop). She still lives at the same address and uses the same forename. She is not hard to find if people put a real effort into it.

At the moment she has changed the costume up a bit and isn't telling people but she's mostly relying on people not putting two-and-two together about the powers being used to remain anonymous... and if anyone does confront her... she moves around quickly and doesn't generally leave DNA evidence (she doesn't touch anything unless something has gone wrong) - it's pretty hard to prove she was somewhere.

Would a man that has mostly lived in Europe and just got the name of the Watcher through hearsay know about her true identity?
Also, I don't think it'd be an especially good idea to waltz into a police station in armor and with a sword. There may be metas around, but unless the cops have really dull senses, they'll see that he's a potential threat.

If he has heard of Watcher he will know she is Alice Kosa. Her backstory is that she was a 'talking head' on television so that is general knowledge. Figuring out that Alice Kosa the person on television is now Alice Dartwood the NYPD officer of no particular note would take quite a bit of detective skill. Finding out her old address, where she still lives, is probably easier so you could have him rock up at her rather smart apartment to see if she's still there.

And yes... carrying a deadly weapon around is bound to draw negative police attention whether in a station or on the street. Might be a good idea to hide it.

Well, on the street people might think he's a cosplayer with his attire.
But I guess going to her old appartment could be interesting.

Anyway, do I retcon his appearance in the fishery with Elinor and make him go up to Alice's apartment or nah?

Gods Among Us
Character Application

Character Description

Motivations and Desires
Primary Goal: Death for all, death, death death!
Secondary Goal: Help out for Plan Z
Fears: A gallow and a noose belonging to it.

Powers
Primary Source of Powers: The Outside
  • Power 1: Undead
Effects: He does not age, he does not get sick, he cannot be killed by conventional means, he does not breathe, his strength is above that of the average human, although not far and he regenerates.
Weaknesses: Weak against prayers and holy objects. They hurt, they blind him. If you strike at him with holy weaponry, the wounds will be lasting. If you strike him dead with a holy weapon then he will be dead...forever.
  • Power 2: Wanderer of the Realsm of the Dead
Effects: Interdimensional travel between Earth and the dimensions where the souls of the (bad) dead go. Note, he can go to these dimensions from any place on earth but most importantly, when he comes back, he does not come back in the same spot where he was before he vanished, but literally anywhere he wants to. However, this requires him to have fed his horse in the dead realms with souls of people who died in that particular area. He can take people with him, roughly as many as he can fit onto his horse.
Weaknesses: He requires his horse to use that power. Actually, it's more a power of the horse than of him. And of course, such a journey needs some preparation time. A good 10 souls must be fed to his horse aka his horse gotta eat some humans first. In the dead realms though, he can just have it eat the souls there.
  • Power 3: There is no escape-save for me
Effects: When Reichhart appears after he used his interdimensional travel, he will be able to teleport freely within a diameter of roughly 25 meters, with the point of his appearance in the center. These teleportations however are not instant. He disappears within 1 second within a ball of green fire, before quickly moving as some sort of black mist to the target area almost instantaneously, where he materializes out of the mist again. Reichhart can however also teleport away much further, but for that he would have had to prepare the area he wants to teleport away to in a time window of 24 hours maximum by beheading a person there.
Weaknesses: Here too, religious symbols decorating the area will basically nullify his quick area teleportation. His escape teleportation to the prepared area though can only be stopped, if the prepared area has been cleansed, aka the beheaded body was properly blessed by a priest or whatever you call it what the priests do with the dead.
  • Power 4: The Executioners Blade
Effects: It is a standard european Longsword, although the devil has given it some nice new ability. Apart from making it virtually unbreakable, wounds caused by it will now cause one's soul to leak out of the wound. The bigger and more dangerous the wound, the faster your soul leaves your body. And the souls of the people killed by this sword go straight to hell. And it will cut through anything organic as if it was hot butter.
Weaknesses: Note, organic. A basic lifeless armour will make the sword about as effective against you as a normal sword. But clothing can also help, as long as it is, even compressed, 2 cm thick at the least. Still remember that this would still be a normal, very sharp sword going down so clothing ain't the best choice. Or a blessing from a priest will do great. It will make you both invulnerable against the soul leaking and superior soul cutting abilities of the sword.
Equipment: He wears a chainmail shirt.

Background
Occupation: Haegler's bloody Exeutioner and top Assassin
Training and Education: He was once a squire to a knight in Germany where he learned fighting, riding, commanding, writing etc. Then there's nothing but learning by doing/experiencing for a long period of time untill the age of industrialization when he went undercover. With the first World War, Zimmermann found Reichhart and had him trained with modern weapons. Something that Haegler continued in the second World War.
Things any characters might know about them: The last executioner in Germany. So basically what you find IRL with a google search. Apart from that some rumours and ghost stories about a Headless Horseman in the American Civil War, fighting the Revolutionaries on the side of the British and their german mercenaries.
Group Affiliations: Hell and the SSAfP
History and Bibliography: Well, sometime in the dark ages there was a knight and he took a squire. The squire was exceptionally skilled and soon surpassed his master in every field and despite not liking the character of his squire, the knight made him a full knight with all knightly honours. Bad mistake, the squire, now knight, went on a rampage within his benefactor's castle, killing him and all his servants before riding off and living a life as a robber Baron, ambushing and killing people. His trademark were beheadings. But things couldn't continue like that. The guilds were not happy about how he made the roads unsafe and put a price on his head. And despite his skill, he could not escape all the bounty hunters, head hunters and mercenaries going for him, eventually being captured and dragged to Nürnberg. There he was publicly hanged and then his head cut off cleanly and shown to the crowd, mocking his own trademark killing method.

His head landed on a spike above the city gates as a warning while his body was buried outside the city walls in the small mass grave for the criminals. No last honour in death, no blessing. Of course his soul went straight back to hell. And yet, due to his head and body never having been buried together, they stayed apart, even as a soul in hell. And the devil, intrigued, had plans for the knight. He would send him back unto the earth and he would slay people for the devil, and feed him with their souls. If he did his job well, he could maybe receive his head back. If he did not, then the devil would destroy the head. Reichhart agreed and soon returned to Europe as the headless horseman, haunting the streets and lands. He was also sometimes employed by the living as a mercenary. All fine by him, as long as he could kill.

With the industrialization, hunting people at night become a lot more difficult. Everything became a lot more difficult. And so he stroke...deals...with the Ordo Teutonicus. Deals, that allowed him to build up a second "Official" personality. Usually wore a mask over some kind of mannequin head to leave people in the dark about who he really was. Became one of Germany`s official executioners. And stayed the last.

During the Nazi rule there was much need for executions and whereever they could they got Reichhart to do the job. It was only later that he was apprehended by the SS SF Haegler who happened to be the head of the SSAfP and the Ordo Teutonicus as well as the Thule Organization. And he had the files from the OT about Reichhart. He made the offer to give him more executions than anyone else ever could as well as the possibility to not hide anymore. Reichhart agreed and Haegler kept word.

Reichhart was busy in the next years cutting heads off. He was also the one to cut Haegler`s head off during the Nuremberg trials. He had convinced the Allies that he had been a magical being pressured by Haegler into his services and now wanted to get the wonderful taste of revenge by personally executing the basterd. However, straight after the execution, Reichhart vanished and Haegler`s corpse with him.

Ever since then he`s been the one to cut off the heads of anyone who was not in line with the AfP even though having deals running with them. Politicians, rebellious SS, Terrorists...They all fell to his sword...

Summary: German Headless Horseman gone Nazi

Gods Among Us
Character Application

Character Description

Motivations and Desires
Primary Goal: Blood. A neverending desire for blood.
Secondary Goal: Help out Haegler for now, as she is forced to do so by her benefactor.
Fears: The Prison of the SS in which she was kept.

Powers
Primary Source of Powers: The Outside
  • Power 1: Vampire Physiology
Effects: You know the drill. The usual undead traits of no aging, no sickness, no breathing, no death by conventional means, regeneration of wounds, higher than average human strength, very high stamina. Vampirewise they of course go a tad bit further, like perfect night vision, a small, low distance heat vision that only works on organics. And since she has wings, she can fly, nothing major really. Flight characteristics are those of a bat. Also, she can fully regenerate her body if her head is still left intact within 24 hours.
Weaknesses: Well, as a Vampire you of course got your own set of weaknesses. Such as sunlight, which will burn her skin and extended exposure can and will kill her. Held off by clothing, it just drains her strength. Wounds caused by sunlight, silver and holy objects will not regenerate within a 24 hour timeframe unless see power below. Swimming is a no go for her. Any body of water deeper than she is high will cause her to sink to the very bottom, where she can neither move, die nor use her magic. So she has to be retrieved or sit there for all eternity.
  • Power 2: Blood fuels Me
Effects: The consumption of blood can heal any wound of her near instantaneously. But that is not all. With each litre of blood she consumes, she become stronger and faster for 12 hours. With every two liters she consumes, her strength will increase to being able to lift another ton of weight and her speed...well let's just say it increases because I am unsure how to measure it. Anyway, since this is stackable, it evens out at being able to lift 70 t and having a speed of...well let's just say very very fast because I am still not entirely sure what to put.
Weaknesses: Well, as said, the power is highly dependent on blood. She will need to get blood to make this work. And she will need the time and security to drink the blood. Apart from that, sunlight still will weaken her continuosly, so she can't use these powers there and being drowned she also can't use them. All the vampire weaknesses still work, it will just be more difficult to use them on her.
  • Power 3: Master Vampire
    Effects:
-Hypnotic Gaze: Well, it's simple really. Eye contact with another weak willed person (that excludes all PCs unless they are stated to be weak willed, all metas and other NPCs explicitly stated to be strong willed/protected) will make her able to influence their emotions as well as their actions with mere thoughts. However, the emotions stay only temporarily, mere minutes at best, and the actions are also only basic actions like freezing, shooting allies, kneeling etc.
-Vampiric Bite: As you can guess, this one requires her to bite her victim in his/her neck. The upside is that it works on anyone. It puts the victim into some sort of hypnotic Trance. The victim will have no memories of what he did and only very fuzzy ones of events directly before. This form of control allows the Baroness to make her minion perform more intricate plans which could be take hours and be very difficult to do. She must explain everything to her minion before sending him to fulfill his mission and cannot make him stop unless she bites him again.
-The Dreadzombies: Draining any mortal of all his lifeblood, a process that takes merely 10-20 seconds on an average human if the Baroness hurries it up, will lead to great physical disfigurement and death. However, the victim will, within a time span between 2 minutes and 8 hours, whatever suits the Baroness, reawaken as an undead monster. Think of Gollum but with the strength of an average human and unread. When they reawaken, every trace, every memory of their former lives are gone. They are reduced to little more than beasts, extensions of the Baroness' will with little intelligence left to themselves and an ever-growing hunger for fresh human meat. The Baroness' control over them is total and cannot be broken and if it is, it leads to a quick demise of the Ghoul. Since they are undead, they decompose just like normal dead bodies do, but the process can be slowed down or stopped by the consumption of fresh meat from newly deceased/still living humans.
-Vampiric Court: This one is important as it allows me to create those mini bosses. Basically, the Baroness must put her own blood into the victim. I have not yet decided wether she sucks them out completely before biting her lip or tongue and putting the blood in through the bite marks on the school, gives her blood into the wounds of a dying person (preferably the heart) or wether she just makes any person in any state swallow it. Regardless it works on anyone.
Once the victim has been granted the gift of her blood, the almost irreversible process of him/her turning into a vampire begins. The length of the process can range between a day and a week. At the end there will be a lesser vampire, never capable of reaching more than half the strength of his/her master. They enjoy a great amount of freedom but when the master's will wants them to do something, they will have to. However, the master's will is just like the Hypnotic Gaze, limited to small actions. However, unlike the gaze the will needs no eye contact and functions over range, becoming weaker the further away the master is. Also, unlike the Gaze, there is no way of resisting for a vampire against the will, at least not by its own means and within the epicentre of the will (200 m diameter).
But there are rituals and relics rumoured of being cabaple of tweaking the master's will, defending against it or fully free a lesser vampire from the v connection to the master vampire.
Apart from that, the victims become minor vampires with all drawbacks and at the beginning minor advantages.
Weaknesses: All three of the latter stages require Lisbeth to have some time and the possibility to bite (and drain) the victim. The second one also needs some time within which she can explain the order to the victim. Another weakness is, that she, after having created a new lesser vampire, she will be temporarily weakened, making it difficult for her to create many new vampires quickly. And the last one really can be dangerous to her too. What if a vampire manages to break free from her control? She may have a new enemy with vampiric powers!
  • Power 4: Blood Magic
Effects: The Scarlet Baroness has a telepathic control over all spilled blood in a radius of 100 m. She can give form, shape and purpose to the blood, use it as weapons, armour, creatures, pictures, exoskeletons etc. If the people, to whom the spilled blood belongs, are actually dead, then she can also use their souls to energize the blood, making it much more powerful. And don't worry, the stuff can condense/compress and become pretty fucking solid.
Weaknesses: It requires spilled blood. And that in a good quantity. With 1 ml of blood you cannot form a massive blood spear and stuff like that. So yeah, quantities are necessary. Just like for the energizing, there is a need for people, whose blood is used, to be dead. Also, creating creatures, be they purely out of blood or the more economic version of using a blood exoskeleton to move them, takes not only a latin spell, but also a soul. Though the soul only if she wants to conserve her attention and focus. Adding a soul to a creature or exoskeleton, will make the being slightly less of a doll which Antonia has to manually move with her willpower, so it can instead act more independently and require less attention. If she though decides to keep direct control, then her limit is at 10 dolls.
    Equipment: -

Background
Occupation: Apart from being a very wealthy vampire living in the paranormal underground? Well, she is now employed by the SS.
Training and Education: She received royal teachings in Bohemia back in the time. When she went underground, she continuosly studied, read and so on, delved deep into the supernatural. She's had centuries to study whatever she wanted.
Things any characters might know about them: None. She destroyed the evidence of her medieval existence. The only thing is an SS file on her that fell into Allied Hands when they took over the Prison.
Group Affiliations: Mostly herself but when her benefactor, the Devil calls, then she answers the call and duly servers.
History and Bibliography: Hmm. Ah nice background. Let`s get to this right from the start then. She was born as the third child to Wenzel I. of Bohemia in the year 1235. Back then she was happy because her father loved her very very much. But this was also her downfall as her elder brother, Ottokar II. Premysl envied her and believed that his father would give the throne to her. He had already killed the eldest child, his brother Vladislav to get the throne and he didn`t want to see all his hard work go up in smoke. And so he murdered her in 1247 and started his revolution right after. His father however managed to retrieve Antonia`s dieing body and and together with his wife he sought out a satanic cult. His wife, Kunigunde of Swabia, sacrificed herself to complete the ritual.

However, it was not really his child that he got back. The ritual had transformed Antonia into a bloodthirsty creature with immense powers. Loving father that he was he fed her with criminals and whatever she desired whenever she desired it, not realizing that he made her more owerful with every drop of blood she took. Antonia herself was disgusted by what she had become but her urges were just too strong for her. And ever since the ritual her heart seemed to be made of stone as she knew no compassion or mercy anymore. Only when her father died she cried a single tear of blood. After that she simply vanished. She seemed to have lived a long life in Prague, feeding on the human population and growing her power to immense heights.

But that couldn`t continue forever, And it didn`t. 1938, the year when the Nazis took Czechoslovakia. Nobody today knows how, but it seemed that the Haegler had managed to capture her, using some kindof trick. Probably one out of the Arsenal of the Old Teutonic Order which had been hunting down Witches, Magicians, Vampires and all other monsters and creatures for centuries. During the whole war she was held in a special prison deep below Prague and was experimented upon. The experiments were gruesome but the greatest experiment of them all was also the biggest luck she could have had. The Nazis were committing genocide on a scale and with an efficiency never before seen in the world, both on the normal people and the paranormal creatures. And it was the idea of some mad scientist to try and see, just how much blood a vampire could take. They quite literally forced her mouth open at the bottom of a massive funnel before starting to feed her with the blood they transported off the concentration camps. It was both a painful and wonderful experience to her. She could`ve freed herself but decided to wait untill the tides of war were turning. And they did. In 1944 she broke out of her prison in which she had been tortured for more than half a decade. And she swore to take bloody vengeance on Haegler. He however always managed to escape her and then died in the Nuremberg trials. And they even took his body from her revenge.

And not even a decade after the end of WW2 she heard of terrorist acts performed in the name of the third Reich. Initially thinking of them as random acts of terror by remaining Wehrwolf units she at first didn`t give much for them but once she heard the name Haegler in connection to them, she started to investigate. A long long long investigation. She eventually heard that someone else, a human, was also investigating in this case and that he did it out of a lust for revenge as well. And so she decided that the enemy of her enemy was her friend for now and she could maybe help him and he her on their vendetta.

When she met him, things changed again and she just sucked the petty mortal dry before continuing her hunt, sadly with no further evidence found. So she returned to her temporary residence in the North Brother Island Sanatory. Lots of things went down there but in the end a nice Haegler came by to meet her. She of course took the time to kill him, discovering that he was certainly missing more than just some screws in his head. Still, she was trapped and the SS managed to "persuade" her into joining their cause.

Summary: Powerful Girl Vampire forced Nazi

Both are accepted but I would like to see the Baronness's Hypsnosis simplied a bit like how I laid out. Although if we are still going with the system of growing hypnoisis that I explain then we should be fine.

Sorry I keep forgetting to send you a TG Lux, but stuff's been going on and I'm busy. I'll try to not be busy this weekend, or at least to find time to TG you for help with my post, but I am seriously busy with IRL stuff.

Not to mention I have other RPs as well to write for.

Again, sorry, Lux. I'm not leaving - I'll probably just end up restricting my post activity to when I can on Tuesdays/Thursdays, if I can, but probably the weekends sometimes. That might mean Alex needs to temporarily become an NPC, as Heartache will probably be able to handle being posted for less frequently until/unless he becomes a major villain people deal with in the IC.

No problem, Void. Take care of yourself.
I am happy to work with whatever schedule you need just make sure you keep us in the loop about what it is you need / we can expect.
I'll do something minor with Alex, looking forward to the Heartache stuff.

Thanks, Lux. I just figured I'd let you know instead of sorta disappearing on you and posting whenever, y'know? This way you at least know the situation.

Don't retcon. We can work with that :)

Alright, I'll wait to see how we'll work with it.

Summary: Powerful Girl Vampire forced Nazi

Both are accepted but I would like to see the Baronness's Hypsnosis simplied a bit like how I laid out. Although if we are still going with the system of growing hypnoisis that I explain then we should be fine.

It is the same thing but I kept it the way I had it formatted because I thought it to be better to have the different stages set apart and well explained for anyone who might want to read up on it.

Been working on this char for quite a while. So happy that that's finally finished.

Gods Among Us
Character Application

Character Description
    Given Name: Ilona Horthy
    Alternate Identities:
    -Eleonora Horthy
    -Líszt
    -SS Obersturmbannführerin List
    -SS Operative SS(u)-74
    Legal Status: Organized Criminal
    Gender: Female
    Age: 87 years
    Species: Human
Apperance: Usually this but also wears a cloak with hood.
    In combat armour
Characters Biggest Strength: A good reputation among Hungary's conservatives and the Hungarian People.
Characters Biggest Weakness: She is sought after in Public and thus not always able to do what she wants or needs, having to work with her official schedule or make up some good excuses.

Motivations and Desires
Primary Goal: The realisation of Haegler's Plan Z
Secondary Goal: Destabilisation of the World, The fall of the world's nations under the heels of oppressive regimes.
Fears: Dying. No, seriously, she was dead and that experience traumatized her enough not only to fill her with envy against those alife but also with fear of dying again herself and having to experience her trauma yet again. This is why she does like to assasinate from a distance, fights only those clearly weaker than her in closer combat and tries to escape pretty much instantly the moment something stronger takes the field.

Powers
Primary Source of Powers: The Outside
  • Power 1: Hatred Drives her
Effects: Due to being a possesed body, somewhat similar to Haegler, she has stopped aging. She also gained above average human speed, agility, stamina, strength and durability, though that only lightly above the human average. These slight upgrades pair well though with her extensive physical training as well as her training in martial arts and marksmanship.
Weaknesses: Good old Ilona, probably due to the high affinity her soul has to her own body, actually is alife. She breathes, she gets sick etc. She simply gained a few abilities due to her soul not managing to 100% rebond with her and thus staying some sort of half ghost half woman. Having said that, it makes her vulnerable for exorcisms. They won't be able to sever her from her body again, but they will make her fall unconscious. Touching her with some gold old iron can accomplish the same, though it needs atleast 5 seconds of uninterrupted skin contact with either her torso or her head, double that with her limbs.
  • Power 2: Ghostsight
Effects: Everything she sees fades away, becoming nothing more than transparent, dark contures. But what is there that she sees? All living beings are outlined and emit a vibrant red colour. The more and the thicker the objects between her eyes and the living, the more their colour fades, grows darker. She has trained long with this ability, enabling her to make accurate guesses, just how thick and how much is between her and the target, depending on the target's colour. This is also something really neat. She can single out a specific living being by turning it's glow from a vibrant red to a lively green. How can she do that? Well, she needs the real name of the target.
Weaknesses: 500 m of any material and a living being's colour will have faded enough for her to be unable to still see it. Or a wall of iron, however thick it is can accomplish the same. Or you could try eating unhealthy amounts of salt. Or try to coat yourself in iron.
    Equipment: A whip, a modified C96 M712 Schnellfeuer, A modified CheyTac Intervention

Background
Occupation: Well, she is unofficially a high ranking member of the SSAfP, also officially employed in a high management position in Reich Industries as Eleonora Horthy. Also a Hungarian Politician.
Training and Education: Private schooled by the best heads her father could get for her during his time as Hungarian head of state. After that an extensive period of training, experiments and schooling with the SS.
Things any characters might know about them: Well uh, a google search of Ilona is going to reveal that she supposedly died during the siege of Budapest in 1944 and some stories about the love between Miklós Horthy and some Czechoslovak Hungarian woman. A google search of Eleonora will reveal her to be a descendent of the Hungarian Dictator Miklós Horthy, who returned to Hungary in 2004 as a politician and has been a popular leader under the conservative forces in the country. She is also known to be a high ranking employee of Reich Industries.
Group Affiliations: Loyal to the SSAfP and Haegler
History and Bibliography: In 1930 Ilona was born as the illegitimate child of the Hungarian dictator Miklos Horthy and a Czechoslovak Ethnic Hungarian with the last name Líszt. And his wife never got to hear about it. Of course, how could he, the conservative authoritarian leader of Hungary have an illegitimate daughter? Anyway, he cared enough about his daughter to bring her and her mother secretly to Budapest, pay for them to have a small flat and also paid for their daily expenses and hired private excellent private teachers for the child. And so Ilona lived a well protected life within a world going to hell with increasing speed. And daddy Horthy sometimes came by to visit her. And although he never stayed long and didn't com very often, she liked his visits, as he always was a very friendly and benevolent man towards her.

But the war did not make halt before a little girl and so it happened on the 15th October 1944, that another man was visiting her. She would never forget the meeting with the man donning his black uniform and the
eagles and swastikas which she had already seen several times on the uniforms of the germans who were in the city. It was none other than SS Standartenführer Haegler. He was different from her father, cold and seemingly not at all interested in her wishes or desires. He spoke with her mother who broke down crying once he had told her what he wanted to tell her, before he went back to Ilona, grabbed her by her wrist and roughly dragged her after him. When her mother made one last attempt at launching herself at Haegler, he simply stopped her with several shots to her stomach before ending her life as she was lying on the ground, coughing blood and crying. A clean shot to the head.

Ilona was brought to Buda castle where Haegler had her accommodated and under constant watch of some loyal SS soldiers. She was yet another hostage to use against Horthy and to keep Hungary in the war. And it all worked out just fine. Hungary stayed in the war. There was no further use in Ilona so Haegler forgot about her. Bigger things were coming up and he was busy organizing the Ardennes Offensive. And so poor Ilona stayed all alone in the big castle, guarded by rude and cold big men of the SS, who didn't make her needlessly suffer nor showed her any kindness.

But she would not live this undisturbed life for long. The Soviet Budapest Offensive encircled the city on the 26th of December 1944. She noticed how her guards became uneasier with every passing day. She could hear the roar of the Soviet Artillery batteries and the sounds of the artillery shells falling down onto the plagued city. On the 5. January an artillery shell hit her quarters. She was wounded, her room burning around her,
the guards dead. And she just couldn't move her legs. She cried. She begged for help. And when she was about to give up...he appeared.

Like an angel he came through the flames, not minding them at all. And so Haegler found her loudly thanking god for his mercy, lying in a pool of her own blood. He had actually come to the city only because there was information and assets in here that he needed to destroy or evacuate. And most importantly, this was the place where he could enact his contingency plan and ensure funding and growth for his organisation and plans by getting captured by the soviets. By chance he had currently been in Buda Castle, speaking with the commanders of the defense, when the shell hit. Just a quick glance at where it had hit had reminded him that there were still men of his who needed to die or flee and a hostage as well. And so he came here and found none of his men alife but the hostage still there, not unscathed but still alife.

It was only when she looked up, that it dawned upon Ilona, that the man who had come to save her, was not an angel. He was lacking wings. And apart from that he also wasn't beautiful. Indeed, he actually looked more like a hellish abomination. His clothing was burned and dirty and his skin and flesh had been burned away partly. His eyes too seemed to have just melted away, greeting her with nothing but hollow eye sockets.
Yes, this was truly an envoy from hell, she thought. And the conclusion she came to frightened her even more. Was she on the brink of death? Had he come to take her soul? The souls of illegitimate children went to hell, right? Or, was he going to propose a deal?

Haegler saw how her expression of pure joy slowly turned into one of sheer horror. He could almost hear the cogs in her brains spinning around as she put together her own theory and he could guess all too well what it was. He smiled to himself. She actually wasn't that far off. And maybe, he would broker a deal with her. A descendant of Horthy could potentually prove useful in the new world after the end of the Reich. Play a little game with the poor girl and see wether she was still useful to him.

And so the scary abomination knelt down in front of her and brought it's really scary face close to her, before talking with a disgusting voice, as if it's lungs and vocal cords were only barely still existing. It told her that she was dying. It asked her, if she wanted to live. The answer was easy to Ilona, her whole measly 14 years of life she had never really managed to live a life, to have more freedom and do more what she wanted. She said yes. It seemed to be what the scary thing had wanted to hear, as he continued asking, what she was willing to give in order to live. Ilona's mind was racing as she was struggling to find something, anything that she had which could possibly be worth saving her life. What did servants of hell want? She found her answer and whispered it quietly, yet Haegler still heard it. "My immortal soul." "Jepp, I think that's gonna do the trick."

Haegler saved her, brought her out of her burning quarters and to a less obvious hideout. A simple house in a simple street in Budapest. It actually served as a secret base for the agents of the SSAfP. There, in the basement, he had one of his doctors examine her. The results were terrible, just like he guessed. Damaged spine, lower half of her body probably forever paralyzed. Yeah, her soul was definitely necessary to keep her atleast somewhat useful. To his own luck he had a Scriptor presently in the house, who could perform just what the ritual he needed. Well, atleast with the right prerequisites and since Haegler had raided the occult archives of the Hungarian paranormal defense/society during Operation Panzerfaust, he had everything he needed there.

So yeah, they simply performed a ritual and Haegler, being the sick mind he was, decided that her soul should be sacrificed in order to garner the attention and services of an otherworldy entity. Now, in exchange for the soul, he had the entity restore Ilona's body. Something that was easily done, yet Ilona was now nothing more than an empty shell, a doll that followed each and every one of Haegler's demands but had absolutely zero initiative or instinct of self preservation. And since Haegler couldn't constantly keep telling her what to do, he decided to smuggle her out of the city. At night, with a raft, she was brought out of the city and back behind german lines. From there, she was brought to the Alps. And there she would wait for the end of the war. Mengele briefly examined her, cursing the doctor in Budapest for his low skill level and lamenting about the waste of such a soul but that was it really. For about 12 years she was kept in a room, brought to the toilet, fed, cleaned etc.

But Haegler eventually found an opportunity to briefly return from the UdSSR. Seeing the state she was in, he saw no use at all in her. Though maybe...if he could get her soul back? He had the means, the men, everything necessary. So, he got another ritual going. But returning a soul from the dead is no easy feat and it requires sacrifices. Then again, we're talking about Haegler, sacrifices mean nothing to him. A hundred people had to die in order to bring back Ilona's soul from the realms of the dead. one-hundred for one. Sounds like a good deal, doesn't it? Anyway, for Ilona, the stay in the realms of the dead hadn't been very pleasant.
Not pleasant at all. So when she returned, one could barely recognise the soul of the young girl who lived back then in Budapest. She had grown coldhearted and most importantly, envious of the living. And her envy had spawned pure hatred against the living. She gladly pledged her loyalty to Haegler for returning her, giving her the chance to take lives and she almost kissed him when he told her what his organisation was aiming to do.

Still, something was a little bit odd about her. Maybe the stay in the afterlife had changed her soul. Maybe she had, instead of returning as soul repossesing her rightful body, returned as scornful ghost, now merely possesing her old body? It would certainly explain why she was so unable to feel other emotions than her hatred and envy agaisnt the living. It would also explain, as the SS noticed about 10 years later, why her body didn't age anymore. And most importantly, it explained the at first sudden and rare eruptions of new, unnatural powers.

Anyway, in secret bases she was trained in martial arts, assasinations, close combat, leadership, marksmanship, etc while they slowly built her cover identity. In 2010, many assasinations later, she finally took her official role as one of Haegler's political puppets in central europe, appearing on the Hungarian political stage and quickly rallying the conservatives around her.

However, she is not part of any of the Hungarian parties, nor is she actually a Hungarian citizen. She merely gathers and coordinates the Hungarian Right Wing parties from the shadows. But officially, she got a job at Reich Industries and this job just recently had her come over to the USA.

If anyone wants to interact with Vaughan, I'll have a post up telling of his general location.
Who knows, maybe someone'll have need of an expert in Eldritch horrors.

Assuming they can find him.

Ah.
Well alright then, I'll just make him arrive near the end.
Maybe the baroness will notice him?

After all, the SS might just have use for a specialist in eldritch studies, someone that has lived to tell the tale.
And if anything, the tomes will be close by.
