The mostly Lutheran Christian people of the LSR have a government with close ties to the national religion. Although favoritism is clear and present towards Christianity, other religions, or the lack thereof, are allowed full rights to practice as they wish under the freedom of religion.

The choice of religion is up to the people however a majority of the people as observed in an annual survey conducted by the Royal Geographers Society. (Unrelated to the Royal Cartographers Society) concluded that a majority of Pantouflians follow Agnosticism or Buddhism or Confucianism.

With mild curiosity.

Atheism is somewhat rare in the Merchant Republics. You'll probably be prayed for by just about everyone who knows. Be warned, but we aren't particularly intolerant. Mercatorum pride themselves on having a healthy understanding of others. You'll be asked a ton of questions, but that's about it.

As far as official status; there is an atheists and skeptics society observer to the Multi-Faith Council, which is a significant organization within the Republics as a voice of religious discussion, the observer has been invited and has taken part in these discussions in the past. There is also a Humanism member of the Council, albeit, Humanism has taken on decisively non-skeptical positions within the Mercatorum, so they aren't freely grouped with atheists anymore.
Confederation charter forbids discrimination based on conscience including religious belief at least so far as the letter of the law goes, some Republics have religious leaders or "official religions", and as such strongly encourage their citizens to take on the sanctioned church, but such things cannot be done with violence or restriction. Most Republics however, are secular so it is not of great concern for any atheist living in the Confederation.

All in all, they are treated like anyone else. With respect and dignity as an individual.

We're a nation that thrives on knowledge based on found evidence, so faith-based ideas like religion are pretty much looked down on.

Allowed, but discouraged. Atheists are technically forbidden from being employed in a government service, expect with express written consent by the Monarch. Such policies have lately been enforced less, however, due to the fact that most Shoreighners really just don't care.
This doesn't really represent my views. It's a just-for-fun nation. MT by the way. Population usually hovers 80-84 million.

Like blithering morons, really. Atheism isn't precisely possible in a world where it's known fact that the Gods are very real. At the point of "Here's your proof" and you continue to be in denial, you're really just being obstinent and Imperials just tend to laugh at that sort of thing.

The Krumolian Constitution guarantees a person's to either believe or disbelieve. As such, there are no legal barriers to atheists living in Krumolia. Nowadays, religiously unaffiliated are about a third of our populace. Most of the people are quite tolerant of it as religion is seen as a private issue.

Though we have big state church, we do not mind if ones of our pack choose not to worship Holy Mother La Lupa or Sacred Father El Garou. Many other faiths are allowed too, including those who follow No God.

There are no atheists in the Empire. Even if a citizen recognizes no supernatural beings, the Emperor is considered to be a living god as the spiritual embodiment of the nation. Ancestor worship is also quite popular as well as the spirits which embody natural forces.

The religion of Saeloun Hangug is remarkably similar to State Shino of Imperial Japan.

Since Nusakarta is a secular state then atheists are free to live their lives rejecting God. There's a significant atheist populace among the East Asian and European minorities.

Believers and Non-Believers are treated the same, and Atheism is the second largest religion (if you want to call it a religion) in Pronghorns Greater Japari Republic, behind Christianity. They both account for 95% of the population combined. (45% Atheist, 50% Christian)

Non-believers are considered to be different. Furthermore, it is required for a person to be in communion with the state church to hold any public office.
