The Cobalt Network is a group of like-minded roleplayers who have come together to create enjoyable Modern Time experiences for all. Mainly focused in semi-realistic roleplays, and with both Alternate History and Alternate Universe roleplays available, fans of all Modern Time scenarios should feel right at home. Based on semi-realistic principles, most experienced Roleplayers can find easy and enjoyable roleplays to hone their skills and meet many similar-minded Roleplayers. However, those on the newer end shouldn’t feel discouraged. The relatively relaxed nature of the Cobalt Network makes this the perfect place to get a solid footing in the wonderful world of Roleplaying. Even those of you who stray away from Modern Time roleplays shouldn’t feel alienated. Past and even Future Tech roleplays show up in Cobalt Network every once in awhile, and on some occasions you may even find a character roleplay. However, keep in mind we’re a Modern Times, Nation-based region first and foremost.
If you only join Cobalt for the roleplays, however, you're missing out on half of the experience! The Cobalt Network is home to a very diverse group of miscreants. When not fighting out large scale battles or carefully executing diplomatic missions, you’ll get the chance to experience a wonderful offsite community. Our Discord, links available both here and on the Regional Homepage, is a world all of its own. There you can chat with other members of the Cobalt Network, brainstorm roleplays, take place in small spontaneous roleplays, and occasional game nights both on Steam, Cards Against Humanity, and some other games. Don’t have a Discord? No problem! You can still find an active community in our RMB, and experience all the fun of our occasional game nights.
Finally, we have regular regional elections! Every 100 days, the titles of President/World Assembly Delegate, Vice President, Minister of Defense, Minister of Information, Minister of Internal Affairs, and Minister of Foreign Affairs go up for grabs, so be sure to be on the lookout for an opportunity to join in our regional government!
