FOR WIDE RELEASE TO THE INTERNATIONAL MILITARY COMMUNITY
From: Marshall Jacques Fernand, Minister of Defense and Commander in Chief, NEDF

To Whom It May Concern,

Due to a recent large turnover including a wave of retirements taken by some of our top instructors at our elite schools, we find the Defense Forces needing to fill a number of slots for foreign instructors at a number of our schools. We are now accepting applications to fill those spots and we hope that some of the International Military Community can aid us in this task. The Neu Engollon Defense Forces hold these academies to the highest standards, as they are the essential programs to advance our men and women that defend this great Confederacy into the face of great adversity and hazard. Neutrality comes at a cost, and that cost is maintaining vigilance towards all potential enemies. Should you consider yourself worthy to measure up to these standards, please do apply on the provided form.

The reason that we accept foreign instructors has to do with the nature of our experience, politics and history. The Confederacy has a long standing policy of neutrality that has seen few interruptions. While recently in the last couple years, the NEDF has seen action in unpopular regional peacekeeping operations, rescue operations, as well as the occasional border skirmish with our Austrakian neighbors, Neu Engollon has not seen full scale warfare in almost a century. For this reason, we rely on foreign instructors with more world combat experience to fill the gaps where many of our instructors cannot provide such practical experience.

As well, our prestigious schools are accepting a larger amount of International students from the global military community, although slots are still limited. We feel that this promotes unity and good relations with some of our economic and political partners out there, plus has the added benefit of increasing the NEDF training budget with foreign funds. We will only accept the top echelon of students from national, elite units to our specialized, advanced training academies. We thank you for your interest and attention and wish you the best.

Peace Through Strength,

Marshall Jacques Fernand, Minister of Defense and CIC, NEDF
The Confederacy of Neu Engollon

Brief Bio:
Sarah Wendt was born to Anglo-German naturalized Edomite citizens in Bara. For an ambitious young woman, military service was one way to escape the traditional role of wife and mother most Edomites still had to deal with. She was naturally athletic and intelligent, and at the time women found it very difficult to enter combat arms of the Army without a lot of influence backing them so she joined the Military Intelligence Corps.

Wendt might have remained in obscurity were it not for the 2nd Civil War. As General Solomon Barak was hastily forming up his First Division and looking for loyal staff he poached some from various support units including the 3rd Military Intelligence Company.

For Wendt, this was a matter of being in the right place at the right time. At first Barak assumed she was just a pretty face capable of reading reports and submitting them, but quickly found that her gift with absorbing and presenting information was valuable.

Her big break came during the Damoclean War when she coordinated the rescue of trapped McNernian forces at Terpsichore, when the outnumbered Terpsichore forces counter attacked inflicting terrible casualties and virtually establishing a counter siege. With nearly all senior Edomite officers involved with a massive amphibious landing, Wendt volunteered to coordinate a rescue operation consisting of air, marine infantry and naval units to land a Marine Infantry Regiment to rescue the McNernians, which was very successful.

After this, it became clear to senior military commanders who had served there that Wendt was an officer to rely on and delegate to.

Date of Desired Instruction Tenure (Can be retroactive to aid in canon building. Please date letters accordingly, in such cases.)Jan 2014-March 2015
Other Pertinent Information: Sarah Wendt is unmarried.
IC Formatted Letter of Recommendation from Superior:

Lieutenant-Colonel Wendt is one of the finest young officers I have had the pleasure of serving with. Her dedication to her duties is remarkable, and her professionalism is a good example of the high standards to which we hope to hold our officer class.

Her skills with regard to coordination of signals communication, conducting briefings, intelligence analysis and staff work are exemplary, and I felt quite able to assume she would carry out any duties given to her with minimal supervision. Her good nature and strong sense of discipline enables her to build teams together quickly. I have due to the difficult nature of our civil unrest had to form a staff quickly without much notice on two occasions and both times found her help invaluable.

Lieutenant-Colonel Wendt has multi-cultural experience in dealing with allied nations and has traveled to Lamoni, Arbites, Damoclea and the Late Roman Empire in the course of her duties as part of my staff.

Due to her ability to provide briefings and quickly bring staff and field unit commanders up to speed on important information, training schedules and coordinate field actions, I believe that her time as an instructor would also be more than acceptable to your school. I believe she will do honour to both your school and to the National New edomite Army.

I have the honour to be
Lieutenant-General S. Barak

Lt. Col. Wendt,
5 Nov 2013

It is with great pleasure that I am able to welcome you to the staff of the Henri Guisan School of Advanced Modern Warfare here at Fort Leba, Lausanne, Vaud, Neu Engollon for the 2014-2015 School year. After a background check and speaking to several of your superiors, including Lieutenant General Barak, myself and the NEDF appointed board have decided that your qualifications are well up to the standards that we expect for staff at this prestigious academy.

You will be teaching the brightest, most capable and elite of the Neu Engollon Defense Forces, as well as guest students from all over the world. There will be a lot expected, but we hope to ease you in and know that the veteran staff and myself will be available to assist you and answer any questions you have, as much as we possibly can. In addition, you will have teacher’s aides assigned for every class that you teach that will assist you in maintaining your curriculum, as well as administering exams, labs and any other such necessities.

Currently, we had an opening for a class this semester. ‘Translating Battlefield Reconnaisance Into Strategic Intelligence’ is a class that we hoped you would be able to pick up, and we were also thinking of adding a course entitled ‘Cornellian Military History’ for next semester, which we feel you would be most suited to instruct.

As for travel arrangements, we have booked a direct flight from Fineberg to Alpenhorn International Airport in Genève, our capital, and will have a car waiting to take you around the Lake to Lausanne. Should you have any issues with this, please contact my secretary.

A pay schedule and salary offer is enclosed in this packet, along with your airline ticket. A single suite apartment has been reserved for you in the female officers' housing section on base here. Should you find this inadequate, or make alternate arrangements off base in the city or surroundings, please make sure to visit the base housing office soonest.

I am certain we have made the right choice in you, Lt. Col. Wendt, and we look forward to bringing you on board here at our fine school.

Sincerely,

Colonel Maurice Kessler, Commander

I will respond much quicker to posts, as I did to New Edom's. I'm simply deleting and re-posting my last reply to him as a bump, hence the lag between his app and my response. I do require an IC letter with the application, otherwise, your applicant certainly will be rejected. TG me if you have questions on this thread, or would like advice on doing a similar project on your own, without plagiarizing me. Thanks.

Hutanjian Islands Crisis; 2012-Present
(* indicates that the RP Thread for this conflict existed on the old NS Jolt Forums, but was not transferred over when the new forums were created. A Google search has revealed that these threads have since been deleted and are unretrievable.)

Brief Bio:
Illyich Voroshnev, best known in-house due to his brash actions and subsequent discharge during the Hutanjia conflict, is or rather was both an FSIS Field Agent and former Paratrooper. Born in 1985, he graduated from the University of Ekaterine in 2006. Possessing little in the way of career aspirations, he decided to purpose his efforts with the Falkasian Army. Originally trained as a combat paratrooper and deployed with the Falkasian 8th Airborne during peace time, Illyich quickly found himself bored with the daily monotony of military life.

He was recruited in 2007 by the FSIS, who were drawn to Voroshnev in no small part due to his off-the-charts aptitude tests and frequent problems with commanding authorities. Ironically, it was the FSIS which finally provided the young man with both a sense of purpose and missions necessary to fulfill his otherwise boring life.

He graduated from FSIS Basic Training and Field Agent Training in 2007, and was first deployed as a Field Operative to Cold Light in 2008. While his performance there was unremarkable as a simple pointman, it paved the way for an eventual command of PSYOPs during the Falkasian invasion of Fanrai in 2010 and ultimately command over an FSIS Wet Squad in Hutanjia.

Shortly after the Hutanjian assault on Nesselberg, Illyich disappeared and was declared MIA. A year later he resurfaced, was declared AWOL after refusing to obey direct orders, and eventually undertook missions of personal revenge that succeeded in ruining FSIS plans in the region for years to come.

Date of Desired Instruction Tenure: January 2015-January 2017
Other Pertinent Information: Illyich is at times unstable, especially when presented with images that might trigger his latent PTSD. In recent years these outbursts have stabilized, likely owing to his on-and-off Hutanjian/Cardwithian lover.

IC Formatted Letter of Recommendation from Superior:
To whom it may concern;

Field Agent Illyich Voroshnev, for whom I am writing this letter, is a brilliant field agent and perfect fit for a teaching position within your respected institutions. His skills in field-craft have proven themselves time and time again while on deployment, and have served as the basis for many operations into enemy-held and/or occupied territories. He has extensive experience working with grass roots guerrilla organizations, and knows how to plan and orchestrate insurgent assaults and activities on an operational, tactical, and strategic level.

By this point, Illyich has no doubt stopped reading this. I'm going to be honest with you, whomever he decides to present this letter to, Illyich is a nutcase. Rather, he's the craziest, most brilliant FSIS Agent I have ever met. Believe me, I have served in the Falkasian Military for close to forty years, and me stating this does not come lightly. His aptitude tests were off the charts, and yet his frequent run-ins with both the law and his commanding officers presented a challenge for dealing with such a gifted agent.

The main concern is, as previously stated in the attached application, his instability. For what its worth, I can both relate and empathize with his state of mind. Hutanjia was by no means a walk in the park, let alone the horrors he likely experienced while interred at one of their concentration camps. The fact of the matter is, it bothered him so much he spent two years running willy-nilly around the island on a thinly-disguised personal quest for vengeance. While his FSIS counterparts have confirmed to me in the time since my command there that his adventures did lead to come very beneficial and unforeseen circumstances, the methods he used to get them have presented the agency with a major PR and internal problem.

As such, I feel that the best way for things to rectify themselves is for him to take a sabbatical and share his knowledge overseas. Seeing as your nation is one of many regarded as politically neutral Falkasia, both I and the FSIS feel that placing him there is of the utmost importance. His on-the-job experiences however should not be understated. He is quite possibly one of the best asymmetric warfare specialists ever to serve with the FSIS. His ability to coordinate irregular military forces in a way that makes them seem both organized and professional is unlike anything I've seen. This, coupled with his almost single-minded dedication to the mission at hand positions him as an asset to any institution through which he instructs.

Please do not misunderstand my intent with this letter. Illyich is supremely qualified for the position he is requesting. Regardless of where he teaches, he will do so to an exceptional degree without interruption of problems. Also know however, that those of us here in the Army and FSIS are also attempting to pull the strings necessary to send him away. Once he is out of sight and out of mind can we begin to repair the damage his crusade caused. If you should require any additional information, please write me at the enclosed address and I can provide it.

Sincerely,

Vadim Chuikov

To: Illyich Voroshnev, Falkasian Special Intelligence Service, Falkasia
From: Colonel Stephan Harbeaux, Commander, Augustus Raedler Escol de Speziala Opershaftsa, NEDM

Mr. Voroshnev,
3 Oct 2014

It is with much honor that I am able to welcome you to the staff of the Augustus Raedler School of Special Operations here at Fort Vitar, San Remo, Liguria, Neu Engollon for the 2015-2016 School year. After a background check and speaking to several of your superiors, including Brigadier General Chuikov, myself and the NEDF appointed board have decided that your qualifications are well up to the standards that we expect for staff at this prestigious academy.

I like to be forthright with my instructor staff and ask the same of them. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that there was some trepidation in bringing on a Falkasian, one from the legendary FSIS, no less, to our staff. Not because there is any direct animosity between Neu Engollon and Falkasia, but rather that we do quite often have both students and staff that cycle through that have served with the infamous Uli-Schwyz Galien Regiments, or are even currently serving, or have relatives that have some association with the Regiments. Obviously, after the events in Hutanjia and those here in the Mederano Sea, there is some bitter resentment towards Falkasia, its government, its military and intelligence apparatus due to what transpired.
It is not publicized or made public notice, but we do have a tacit agreement with that organization that I can describe in detail upon your arrival. This being said, I would expect your utmost restraint when confronted with and dealing with persons who have that association, just as I will expect the same of them.

Additionally, as long as I'm being earnest and frank, I will tell you that concerns have been brought up about behaviors in regards to your service in Hutanjia and your style of coping with those experiences. I am willing to give you a chance here, but I had to fight the board of the school in order to do so. Your tenure here will be probationary, though, as a result of my negotiation and advocating for your hiring. So, I will be checking in frequently, and I ask that if you have any issues or concerns you report directly back to me immediately. Part of my championing for your addition to our staff was that you have valuable experience in such a tragic, chaotic war from a side that is not often heard from in this part of Astyria. Those same staff and students I mentioned that have done service or had friends and relations that served with the USG PMC might do well to hear the other side of the story.

It should go without saying that you will be teaching the brightest, most capable and elite of the Neu Engollon Defense Forces, as well as guest students from all over the world.

Currently, we had an instructor opening for a class this upcoming semester. ‘Accomplishment and Prioritizing of Small Group Objectives’ is the class that we feel you would best be suited to teach. Additionally, we may need you to fill in for some other of our core classes such as 'Basic Reconnaissance' and 'Mission Load Out'.

As for travel arrangements, we have booked a direct flight for you from Ekaterine to Panoli International Air & Seaport on 5 Jan 2015. A car will be waiting there to take you up the coast from Panoli to San Remo, here to Fort Vitar. Should you have any issues with these travel arrangements, please contact my secretary.

Upon your arrival in the Confederacy, you must report to the base within 6 hours to administration, where you will be issued manuals, NEDF code of conduct, and your work identification which will allow you travel in restricted areas around the base. Unfortunately, due to your previous service and employer, should you not report to base administration within those 6 hours, you are liable to be reported to Pine Park, the Criminal Investigative and Counter Espionage division of the National Gendarmes.

Brief Bio:
Born the son of military hero Captain George Simmons, Craig had little in the way of difficulty in his young life. He was spoiled and thrived on the opulence with which his small family lived, and as an only child, his spoiling left no bounds. While his father was away mostly on assignment, and then after his early retirement, gone on talk show tours, speech circuits, and advisory roles, Craig's mother took care of him while at the same time letting him run rampant. Craig's young life was fun and freedom, despite his private tutor and his exquisite living conditions, which were a rarity to the rest of the URA's population of 1.4 billion.
However, his life took a turn for the worse when his mother was diagnosed with late-stage breast cancer while he was fourteen. She was given four months to live, and despite the work of some of the best doctors and the best treatments money could buy, Craig's mother lost the odds and died within three months of her diagnosis. Craig's father, now an adviser to the presidential cabinet and the Department of Defense, had little choice but to enroll his son into the Olympia Young Men's Academy, a private high school for the sons of wealthy Remnant families. Here, young Craig Simmons was a small fish compared to the sons of corporate magnates, government officials, and generals, despite his father's fame. There are several reports of disobedience, fighting, negligence, and insubordination, all with Craig's name on them as a primary culprit. Despite this, Craig graduated in the upper half of his class and was able to be accepted to Drake Military Academy to fast-track his path to becoming a military officer like his father.
After two years at Drake Military Academy, Craig was offered a choice between dropping out or being kicked out for his guilt in a string of out-of-hand parties, dropping grades, and public drunkenness. His father was furious with the news and cut him off from any money. Only two months passed before Craig was forced to enter the Remnant Army, where he successfully passed Army Basic Training and was put with a relatively quiet unit for nearly eighteen months before the advent of the war between the URA and the neighboring nation of Pragmata. While Simmons himself did not see much action in this relatively quick war of defense that left Pragmata absorbed into the URA, he spent some time in the occupied capital of Eridantas, where he was witness to several riots and policing actions before Pragmata was officially absorbed.
Craig's real claim to fame was only two months later, when the Great Korean Empire invaded the URA, forcing the 4th Army to harphazardly defend the country as other units were mobilized. Simmons entire squad was eradicated except for himself, his squad leader and his best friend, all of which received battlefield promotions for their actions.
This small fame allowed Simmons and his squad, now reformed with mostly new recruits and other survivors of the company to be sent to Vangaziland on an international joint military exercise.
In a more recent display, the 4th Army was used as the spearhead of the assault of the Remnant War of Expansion, with the 10th Infantry Battalion used as the very tip. Simmons and his squad is noted for taking some of the only prisoners in this war without firing a single shot, and currently Sergeant Simmons is being observed to be promoted once again and to take command of an infantry squad, possibly fixing his earlier mistakes and building himself into a quality soldier.

To whom it may concern,

Hello and Привет. My name is Jeffery Higgins. You do not know me, however, I know the applicant, Sergeant Craig Simmons, and I have known him for some four years now, ever since he was attached to my squad. Four years ago, I was a Gunnery Sergeant in charge of a crack team of infantry soldiers, up until two of my boys went to Officer Training and NCO Training, respectively. That left two open spots, and in those spots, I got Gary Burns and his best friend Craig Simmons.

Mr. Burns was sharp as he was observant, and he quickly found a spot for himself in my squad, but Mr. Simmons was, pardon my term, a fuck-up, and I hated him for it, and I rode him hard for it, and in return, he hated me. Even during the deployment in Pragmata, I had several instances of having to dress down Mr. Simmons for various malpractices, several of which involved alcohol, disheveled appearance, and harassment of women. I was both embarrassed for his father to have such a son, and completely unsurprised at the spoiled brat in my squad.

But during the invasion by the Great Korean Empire, something in him changed. Maybe it was knowing most of our company had been killed, or watching most our squad die in front of us, but something snapped in Simmons, and it was for the better. I can remember the day that boy became a soldier, and it had never made me more proud. And since that day, he has earned every award, every advancement he has received, up to and including his promotion to Sergeant and his appointment by myself as my squad second in command and fireteam leader. And he of course deserves his current consideration for both this training program, as well as the consideration by our superiors for his promotion to a squad leader on his own. I would take a bullet for that boy, just as I am certainly aware he would take a bullet for me, or any of the kids in our squad.

Don't get me wrong, Craig's still an asshole.

Sincerely,
Master Sergeant Jefferey Higgins, Squad Leader, 2-1-10, 61st Division

Brief Bio:

Léopold was born in 1972 to Chunimund and Fréja Wréizou in Uellwox, a small village in the Salian Highlands. From the age 8, he was familiar with the horse and hunting rifle, protecting his father’s goats from wolves.

At school, he was good at rugby, but also proficient in sciences and crafts. He left school at age 12, as his parents could not afford the fees of further education and helped his parents on the farm until he was conscripted into the Gendarmerie upon turning 18. He served in the Salian 009 Horse Gendarmerie, an armoured unit until, on the completion of compulsory service, he transferred to 2nd Battalion, Theÿerbuerg Lancers, 16th Brigade, IV Corps in 1994. In 1995, during the civil war, his battalion spearheaded an all-arms assault over the Suemffuert river crossing held by artillery backed rebels. He manned the machine gun on a heavy ISV-032 Gehouëtzwéin IFV, his specific platoon mowing down the gunners. In 2001, he was promoted to sergeant, and in 2003, during the military coup against the illegal socialist government, led his platoon as part of a wider assault on a Gendarme airfield, preventing Gendarme helicopter gunships taking off to bombard the 2nd Infantry Division securing the Xaaënbrueck Bridge in Chlowisbuerg.

Léopold has since been training recruits to the battalion, both discipline, firearms and vehicle drills. In 2007 he married Hilda (née Cholnwa), a café waitress and has two daughters: Charlossa and Willouma. Léopold is a Woedinist and is a keen marksman.

Official Statement of the Armed Forces of the Gauliscian United Realms

Dear Whomever it may concern within,

Few warriors I know have shown such virile and tactful virtues as are demonstrated each day by Sergeant Léopold Wréizou. For though he is born of a farmer and an undistinguished house, Léopold is a most honoured warrior among his men.

Recent conflicts having satisfied this warrior’s longing for the clash of steel and spray of crimson, Léopold has put his skills to fit usage in instructing new blood in the ways of our regiment; the Theÿerbuerg Lancers: a regiment that traces its lineage past centuries, the feasting hall of the officers is encrusted with battle honours and the shining and glittering spoils of war. Léopold is held in high regard by those whom he teaches the manners of the bridle and blade, for, despite provincial manners and a thunderous roar, it is known to all that his duty is dear to him and close to his heart.

I couldn't reccomend a better qualified instructor for your military.

The honour is ours

Gauliscia is a Wodinist and germanic parliamentary democracy headed by a monarch. Gauliscia is lead by its aristocratic elite but fuelled by the working class.

After a background check and speaking to several of your superiors, including Adjutant Nicholous Zékwaart, myself and the NEDF appointed board have decided that your qualifications are well up to the standards that we expect for staff at this prestigious academy.

‘Mechanized Force Strategy’ is a class that we hoped you would be able to pick up, and we may have you fill in on instructing some other courses, as yet undetermined.

As for travel arrangements, we have booked a direct flight from Clovisburg to Alpenhorn International Airport in Genève, our capital, where you will be issued special guest papers and a guest identity badge for Semnoz, a highly restricted area. Then an official will accompany you by rail on the C1 route, connecting to the S1 route which will bring you to Semnoz. Should you have any issues with this, please contact my secretary.

A pay schedule and salary offer is enclosed in this packet, along with your airline ticket. A single suite apartment has been reserved for you in the male officers' housing section on base here. Again, due to the sensitive nature and restrictions having to do with Semnoz, there are no alternate accommodations within town, off base. We hope you understand.

Brief Bio:
Theo was born into an aristocrat family in the capital province of Ravenna. As with any wealthy family Theo's parents wanted him to follow in his father's footsteps and become a banker. However, Theo had other more ambitious plans and at the age of 18 applied to Royal Military Academy(RMA) .

The first 2 years at the RMA were rough on Theo academically. His tutors did not prepare him to adequately for physical and academic hardships that being a cadet brought. Theo was able to turn things around after using his summer training to screen for a direct Imperial Guard commission. Theo fell in love with the Guard, but ultimately he was dropped from the course due to his academic standing. For the next two years Theo devoted all of his time to improving his academics and his physical test scores. At the end of his 4th year Theo had risen from being ranked 356th in his class to being ranked 11th and graduated with honors.

Theo went directly to Fort Malivade to complete his 10 weeks of line regiment training, and excelled. Upon completion of BICT, Theo attended AIT to finish his training as a HUMNIT intelligence officer. Having completed his AIT as the number one performer; Theo was able to choose his duty station. Faith would have it, along with some family help, a billet at the School of the Imperial Guard opened up and Theo jumped at the opportunity.
Theo breezed through what was thought the most difficult school in the military and was given a commission within the 1st Guard Parachute Regiment. As part of the Regiment's pre-deployment training Theo was sent to the Royal Defense Institute(RDI) to learn Arabic. The instructors at the RDI still mention Theo as one of the best students the Institute has ever seen. He completed his Arabic course within 3 months and took a extra Mandarin course and completed it in 3 months as well. The 1st Parachute Battalion deployed upon Theo's graduation from the school.

The Regiment complete its 12 month deployment and rotated back home as usual. Theo on the other hand was a changed man after spending 6 months in the mountains. He has seen the worse of what humanity had to offer and had did somethings that took pieces of his soul. Theo no longer cared for the Guard after seeing what they did, and requested a screening test for the Pathfinder school. He passed the screening test with flying colors and was off to Pathfinder school. Theo was able to survive the school and was reassigned to the 1st Special Forces Group along with a new promotion.

Theo proved that he could lead and fight while on deployment with the 1st SFG. He led echo platoon through 35 direct action missions and over 240 special reconnaissance missions with no casualties. Upon completion of his tour of duty he requested orders to a foreign military school.

Dear Whomever it may concern,

I am John Stephens of the 1st Special Forces Group and I am writing to you as a witness to Captain Theo Karak character and reputation. Captain Karak has been under my command since 2013 and has not had any violations or complains brought up against him in that time. I have known Captain Karak since his 2nd at the Royal Military Academy ,and I can assure you that Captain Karak is one of the finest officers within the Imperial and Royal Army. He has shown on repeated occasion that he is the standard for all officers across the Imperial Forces. This man lives, breaths, and eats professionalism and has shown that he a cool headed man with unbiased views. I can attest to Captain's Karak teaching abilities with one single example. On his first deployment with the 1st SFG his platoon was able to train two light infantry battalions and lead these battalions in offensive maneuvers against a hostile force. This is just but one of many examples on how Captain Karak has shown the drive, devotion and the will do attitude of a mighty warrior. This man would make a excellent instructor at any of the Neu Engollon Defense Forces land combat schools.

Captain Karak will bring with him experience and a certain edge that is needed in a elite school such as the Augustus Raedler Escol de Speziala Opershaftsa. I can assure you with that your future warriors are in good hands with Captain Karak.

God Save the Queen,
Colonel John H. Stephens, 1st Special Forces Group.

SSgt. Jordan,
18 December 2015

It is with much honor that I am able to welcome you to the staff of the Henri Guisan School of Advanced Modern Warfare here at Fort Leba, Lausanne, Vaud, Neu Engollon starting the Spring Term of the 2016 School year. After a background check and speaking to several of your superiors, including Master Sergeant Higgins, myself and the NEDF appointed board have decided that your qualifications are well up to the standards that we expect for staff at this prestigious academy.

There will be a lot expected, but we hope to ease you in and know that the veteran staff and myself will be available to assist you and answer any questions you have, as much as we possibly can. We expect you to do well in administering exams, labs and any other such necessities, as well as hands on demonstrations.

Currently, we had an opening for a class this semester. ‘Small Unit Tactical Insertion’ is a class that we hoped you would be able to pick up, and we may have you fill in on aiding instructors in some other courses, as yet undetermined.

As for travel arrangements, we have booked a direct flight for you from Ulysses to Alpenhorn International Airport in Genève, our capital, where you will board a train to Lausanne and here to Fort Leba. Should you have any issues with these travel arrangements, please contact my secretary.

A pay schedule and salary offer is enclosed in this packet, along with your airline ticket. A single suite apartment has been reserved for you in the single male officers' housing section on base here. Should you find this inadequate, or make alternate arrangements off base in the city or surroundings, please make sure to visit the base housing office soonest to adjust arrangements and contact information.

I am certain we have made the right choice in you, SSgt. Jordan, and we look forward to having you attend our fine school.

Sincerely,

Captain Theo Karak,
19 June 2016

It is with much honor that I am able to welcome you to the staff of the Marie-Louise von Franz School of Psychological Operations here at the Semnoz Militia Secure Facility, Semnoz, Liguria, Neu Engollon for the 2016-2017 School Year. After a background check and speaking to several of your superiors, including Colonel Stephens, myself and the NEDF appointed board have decided that your qualifications are well up to the standards that we expect for staff at this prestigious academy. Depending on a favorable review for the school year by peer staff and students, we will consider the next term, 2017-2018 for continued employment at our institution.

It should go without saying that you will be teaching the brightest, most capable and elite of the Neu Engollon Defense Forces, as well as guest students from all over the world.

Currently, we had an instructor opening for a class this upcoming semester. ‘Persuasion Of The Local Citizenry’ is the class that we feel you would best be suited to teach. Additionally, we may need you to fill in for some other of our core classes such as 'Winning With Words: A Basic Instruction on the Psychology of Battlefield Dominance'.

As for travel arrangements, we have booked a direct flight from Ravenna to Alpenhorn International Airport in Genève, our capital, where you will be issued special guest papers and a guest identity badge for Semnoz, a highly restricted area. Then an official will accompany you by rail on the C1 route, connecting to the S1 route which will bring you to Semnoz. Should you have any issues with this, please contact my secretary.

A pay schedule and salary offer is enclosed in this packet, along with your airline ticket. A single suite apartment has been reserved for you in the single male officers' housing section on base here. Again, due to the sensitive nature and restrictions having to do with Semnoz, there are no alternate accommodations within town, off base. We hope you understand.

I am certain we have made the right choice in you, Captain Karak, and we look forward to bringing you on board here at our fine school.

Sincerely,

Colonel Gino Androconi, Commander

It is with much regret that I inform you that your application to the Augustus Raedler School of Special Operations here at Fort Vitar, San Remo, Liguria, Neu Engollon for the 2017-2018 School Year has been rejected. After a background check and speaking to several of your superiors, including Captain Raysh, myself and the NEDF appointed board have decided that your qualifications aren't quite up to the standards that we expect for staff at this prestigious academy.

That being said, we might be able to find a spot as an instructor's assistant, although quite often that job goes to domestic junior officers who are also upper level students in the academies. Had you applied to attend the school as a student, or if you reconsidered and so desired to attend, with the blessing of your military, we would surely be able to find a spot for you among our student body.

Unfortunately, we reserve a limited number of foreign instructor slots at each academy for those who would bring quite a wealth of information and experience to our students. At some point in time, you will surely be able to provide that, but at this point in time, it is not evident that you have that experience to pass along to the next generation.

I also must inform you that the same situation applies towards your second listed choice, the Basic Militia Infantry Training facilities, of which there are three currently. They are in search of instructors that have a bit more experience than yourself and the available foreign instructor slots are even more scarce than most of our military advanced training academies.

I am certain that should you change your mind and decide to apply as a student that we would look forward to bringing you on board here at our fine school. That, or should you want to wait a few years until you have racked up more experience in your own nation's military, and reapply at that time, I could not guarantee such, but I'm sure that the likelihood of snagging an instructor slot at one of our academies, if not mine, would be much higher. Until then, good luck in all your endeavors if we don't hear from you again.

Sincerely,

Colonel Stephan Harbeaux, Commander

Brief Bio: Born to a military family, Rogers excelled in school, especially in history and English. Rogers followed in his father's footsteps after graduation by joining the Remnant Army, where he saw action through the Parkerian Wars. His actions throughout these drew attention from the then-Remnant Rangers, which he joined. As a Ranger, he saw action in both the Demmosian Civil War and the Caxan Civil War as well as several other actions before being transferred to leadership role in a Ranger Special Operations Squad and being moved to [REDACTED]. Within [REDACTED], Rogers rose to a leadership position, first as a field commander for operations, and then as the commanding officer of the unit. Since the official disbanding of [REDACTED], Rogers went to a "chair force" position within the Remnant Operational Command, the unified command of the URA's special operation forces. In total, Rogers has more than thirty years' total in the military.
Date of Desired Instruction Tenure: December, 2016 - Undefined
Other Pertinent Information: Goes by the callsign "Jolly." There is a possibility that Lt. Col. Rogers suffers from PTSD and compensates with alcoholic binges. Psychological profile suggests that Rogers has an obsession with success. None of this has so far detracted from his exemplary service and leadership.
IC Formatted Letter of Recommendation from Superior:
To whom it may concern,

Hello. Привет. I am General Brent Wolffe, commanding officer of Remnant Operational Command. I served with Lieutenant Colonel Rogers as a Ranger, and when the Rangers became Sentinels, I was his commanding officer. He served in the 1st Battalion, the battalion focused primarily on protecting the President of the URA as well as operating on specific classified operations. During these times, Rogers has proven to be an excellent soldier, and later, an amazing leader. While many of the details of Rogers' exploits cannot be discussed here or anywhere, you can take my word that if it were not for the leadership ability of Lieutenant Colonel Jack "Jolly" Rogers, many thousands of people would have died in situations that Rogers and his team were able to divert the cause.

I would advise that this application's value be taken for what it is: The record of a perfect soldier who is currently up for a promotion review to full colonel due to his actions. He deserves your consideration for a teaching position at one of your schools to teach the next generation of young soldiers that can dream and study to hopefully be a tenth the soldier that Lieutenant Colonel Rogers is.

Sincerely,
Brigadier General Brent Wolffe, Commander, Remnant Operational Command

A single suite apartment has been reserved for you in the single male officers' housing section on base here.
