I assume we're talking about changing the triple 155mm guns to double 203mm guns, because changing a double 203mm mounting which was also compatible with a triple 15mm mounting into one which takes triple 203mm mounts would require disassembly and reconstruction of the hull itself. It's less aremodel and more a complete rebuild.

So, bit of some bad news.

Kraicia, a compadre of ours, has had a face to face encounter with mother nature herself. Basically, the Northern California fires enveloped his home [presumably, from fire maps], and now he doesn't have a roof over his head or good coverage. He's gonna be inable to do things on the forum for a while, but from what I got from the DMs, he's gonna do his best to get a post up. Probably gonna end up with some other family members, otherwise, quote, "I'll work my fingers to the bone to get me and my family another home." So... Yeah. I'm wishing him the best of luck, maybe you guys should send him some luck too. I dunno.

TL;DR Kraicia can't respond for a while.

North Arkana, while your criticism of the administrative procedures of this RP is much appreciated, but unneeded. I do these things the way I do them because it works. It just requires a bit of scrolling, in the worst case, through one post.
Also, if you get triggered by a something in the administrative procedures of a RP, I would recommend to you to be careful - that can't be good for your blood pressure.

Note that after this remodel, and it should be him since he's the one currently stuck so apologies, he will then be called 'Higashikawa' so that it will be easier for identification.

Accepted from my side, now you only need the flagship, once we have one, to accept it ICly.
On that note, does anyone have anything against it, if we were to do a time skip to the next morning, to the Assembly?

Except that I've made multiple edits to condense things in my apps, like adding in the different aircraft in spoilers and such, and correcting some discrepancies in technical specifications that would not have functioned aboard an actual vessel, so the links in your apps just lead to outdated versions, which will just result in headaches later down the line.

If you edit your apps, you should give the OP a shout and then he will edit his version of them, too, after checking if they were okay. In simpler terms, communicate - it never killed anyone.
Besides, editing your apps after they have been accepted without telling anyone, no matter the reason, is rather shady conduct for an RP, don't you think?

What, adding in extra information like the stat blocks for aircraft and making sure everything you meant to list on the app is there is shady to you?
Not to mention typo correction and what not.

The simple fact of editing your apps after they were accepted without telling anyone for example?
North Arkana, short and simple: These administrative procedures will stay the way they are. End of discussion. I'm getting tired by your antics, to be quite honest.

Alright, people, as there are apparently no objections to a time-skip, I will now initiate it. Day 2, here we come!

A quick note about this day, there will be no hard contacts this day/no Abyssals to kill. It will still be important, as the reorganization of the fleet will get underway today and that will give us a trend through the whole RP.

They're summoned elsewhere, transferred to us or picked up during patrols, sorties and so on as 'drops'. A bit like it is the case with Bucky in the anime, actually.

Here's... my third app, still no IC posts. I'll post IC soon I swear, I just lost the post because I had to reboot my computer.

Yes, I know the Tsar became the Emperor in 1721 with Peter the Great, Tsar is more distinctly Russian than Emperor.
Name: Великий князь Кирилл (Velikiy Knyaz Kirill; Grand Duke Kirill)
Type: Cruiser
Class: Grand Duke Kirill-class cruiser
Role: Multirole Heavy Cruiser
Nation of origin: Empire of Vserossiya
Year commissioned: 1940
Image or description of the ship girl/boy: She can kill you faster than you can eat Tsardines out of a Raspu-tin.
Gender: Female
Character: Vaguely haughty, Kirill is a firm patriot. She is confident in her own abilities, but holds no illusions about holding her own against a battleship. That does not mean she will not make fun of Bolshevik warships. Refined in her own way, but does enjoy smashing some enemies of the Tsar.
Special abilities: DAKKADAKKADAKKA. Seriously. Guns. Lots of guns. Beyond her 8 8-inchers, she has 10 5-inch guns that can each target something different, and, if things get super intimate/desperate, 14 smol 85mm guns. Still not enuff dakka though.
Technical Description of the vessel: The Grand Duke Kirill-class cruiser was the result of the sweeping naval reforms conducted during the 1930s as Vserossiya reemerged as a global power. Amidst these massive reforms to both the shipbuilding industry and the naval structure itself, three distinct schools of thought emerged as to what the nature of the navy should be. The plan championed by Admiral Kirill Vladimirovich, Grand Duke of Russia, cousin of the late Nicholas II, was a proponent for a focus on battleships and heavy cruisers, favoring traditional "fleet in being" doctrine. Meanwhile, the plan championed by Hero of Vladivostok Admiral Alexander Kolchak proposed a focus on lighter ships, destroyers and light cruisers, saying that there was simply no way Vserossiya could possibly catch up in the battleship race. The final school of thought was championed by the up-and-coming Rear Admiral Nikolay Kuznetsov, the "Peasant Admiral", proposed a focus on the new technology of aircraft carriers and a further investment into naval aviation and anti-aircraft defense, backing up his claims by the general reliability of the aircraft carrier Izmail that had been converted from the hull of a battlecruiser in the late 20s following nearly a decade of delay on the part of the actual construction of the battlecruiser. In the end, while Kolchak's plan, being the most practical, would be the one most implemented, some of Kirill's proposed battleship fleet would be constructed, as would 3 new carriers (1 for the Baltic Sea and 2 for the Pacific).

Grand Duke Kirill and the Pacific Fleet were quickly sidelined with the Axis Powers' invasion of Vserossiya in 1941. 2 years later, in September of 1943, several border skirmishes along the Halha River between Japanese and Vserossiyan forces led to a declaration of war between the Empire of Japan and the Empire of Vserossiya. The Vserossiyan Pacific Fleet and the IJN 5th Fleet would engage each other for the remainder of the war. Grand Duke Kirill became the newly-reassigned Admiral Alexander Kolchak's flagship in November. She would go on to serve in most battles of the Second Vserossiyan-Japanese War, often being taken on daring night raids by Kolchak. However, following the Battle of Leyte Gulf, a battle between the Americans and Japanese which resulted in the sinking of the Japanese super-battleship Musashi, the IJN sent her sister ship Yamato with the remaining destroyers of the 5th Fleet to attack Vladivostok and cripple the Russian Pacific Fleet's supply lines. Admiral Kolchak scrambled every ship at his disposal to halt the superbattleship. The brand-new battleship Imperator Aleksandr II, Grand Duke Kirill and 2 of her sister ships, supported by 7 destroyers, moved to intercept the task force. The intense naval battle that followed forced the scuttling of the Aleksandr II after it was crippled by fire from the Yamato. 3 more Vserossisyan destroyers and the cruiser Grand Duke Boris were either sunk or crippled beyond usefulness before sustained fire from the remaining ships and assistance from ground-based air forces (primarily flying the Ilyushin Il-4) finally crippled Yamato and forced the remaining Japanese vessels to scuttle the superbattleship and abandon the mission. Most of the surviving Vserossiyan vessels sustained at least some degree of damage. Kirill's finest hour would be the Second Battle of Tsushima, when she sank the Japanese heavy cruiser Nachi while breaking through the Tsushima Strait. She was damaged by a Kamikaze while bombarding Japanese positions in Port Arthur in March 1945. She was repaired in time to transport Admiral Kolchak to Tokyo Bay to observe the signing of the Japanese surrender aboard the American USS Missouri.

After the war, she would serve in the Pacific Fleet for the rest of her career. She was considered for remodel in 1960, but it was decided to turn her into a museum ship in Vladivostok. In celebration of the day when Vserossiya defeated Japan, it was decided she would fire a full main-gun broadside of blanks out into the sea once per year.

It's no problem, she's accepted - if I may ask, does she wear the uniform in everyday life?

Yes. Always either that or some other sort of fancy clothing.

Your ship is a dakka imposter >:(

Only 8 guns, it only beats the York, Aoba, and Furutaka class in main battery among 8 inch gun armed cruisers.

Yeah, true.

Ten 5 inch guns tho.

USN cruisers with twin 5 inch secondary gun mounts smirk.

Also it's worth pointing out that my characters are still wearing their usual clothes... Which happen to be what's in their character pictures on their profiles.

Leopard also received Abgrund's old pic, while Abgrund received a new one, so their links in the roster will show you something different from what's what's intended. Horizon's app per the link on the roster will be missing several chunks of info from the technical specifications, and also doesn't have the aircraft stat blocks added into them, so it won't do much good to use that one either. Ahrgen's old link meanwhile still has the mistake of listing the radio operator twice in the crew, which meant the Mk5PBA was incorrectly listed as having 10 crew.

Who needs twin secondaries

When you can just slap 5 1930s destroyer turrets on the side of your ship.

Really I kinda based her off the Prinz Eugen (and a bit of Portland-class but shush) of the same era since any Russian nation and Nazi Germany have a similar dilema of having a shit navy, but at the same time I wanted a unique twist, so thus, more turrets was the answer. Especially since IRL Russian Empire's first light cruisers just smacked 15 5-inchers on 'em, with no heavier armament.

It's no problem - RL is more important.

Yeah, apparently i've mixed them up, permission to do a kai aka remodel and change the name for the sake of convenience.

The cruiser is burning is all i can say at this point.

Okay, just give me the new numbers and equipment, basically the app's statblock, again for after the upgrade(s) and you can basically consider them approved - barring, of course, if there's something seriously wrong with them.
I'll also change my post in a moment, if you don't mind.

4 x 5 in/38 caliber guns
2 x quad 1.1"/75 caliber guns
12 × .50 Cal machine guns

These number of guns is the result of the Novayan Confederation Admiralty thinking what would happen if they attached naval anti aircraft guns into the Novaya. The result is this.

NE, are these the numbers in addition to what is already mounted onto the boy or the new complete armament? Because if it is in addition, Novaya should consider moving into the Cruiser Dorm - if it is a his new complete armament, then he needs a buff to his AA-capabilities.

While we are talking about upgrades and remodels...
Please keep in mind, that this is not yet official, but a proposal. As such, it might be subject to change, especially with the input from you guys.

A few general things first:
Even when upgraded, the technological limitations are still in place. Everything, that was in service by 1950 or in prototype status (for example aircraft having flown for the first time, but not yet in service), is permitted as upgrades. However, please keep it reasonable. Still nothing nuclear, though.
Major remodels, that change for example a battleship to a fast battleship, are permitted, but will consume a lot of time and ressources. Despite any wishes by destroyers, though, a destroyer can not turn into a battleship, so please keep it reasonable.
Please keep in mind, that remodels may change the personality of a character - they don't have to, but they can.
To apply for a remodel or upgrades, you need the permission of the flagship, whoever that will turn out to be, on the IC-thread AND have to give your proposed upgrades for peer review here. It's not an application process, like at the start, but a small review. Upgrades and remodels are voluntarily and can not be ordered.

How will it work?
I mentioned ressources. Those will be gathered by expeditions, which may find ammunition, steel, bauxite, fuel and "equipment modules" (for example 40mm AA-guns) and items (such as Instant Repair Buckets and Repair Buckets) - this is, what we need for running operations as well as for upgrades and remodels. Step one, therefore, is finding them.
Stept two is assessing the costs of an upgrade/remodel. These are comprised of ressources needed as well as equipment modules needed. Let's say, for example, that an upgrade entails more AA-guns on a vessel, so we'd need a few AA-guns and a small amount of ressources.
You might already noticed, that I differed between "Upgrades" and "Remodels". That is with a reason, as they are two different things. Upgrades are small modifications, for example additional AA-guns, new radar and so on, they are cheap, easy to do and relatively fast. Remodels, on the other hand, change the ship boy or girl completely, are expensive, extensive and take a lot of time, as the entire vessel is, in fact, remodelled to fit a new role and type, for example a carrier wanting to try out being a battleship for whatever reason would be such a remodel.
Once the requirements for ressources and modules are collected, the process can start. During that time, your character is free to interact with other people, but he or she will not sortie for that time. Upgrades will be done within an afternoon, but the more complex a remodel is, the longer it will take. That is step three.
    Step four is profit.

So... thoughts?

A remodel.

I remember, in an old regional rp, i needed an AA ship to defend Rome, so i took what was essentially a repurposed USS Arizona and stuck as many 5 inch guns as I could on this, then partially sunk it, up armored it, and gave it twin linked search radar.

Came to...21, dual five inch guns turrets.

Stripped out the engines, boilers, anything uneeded and filled it with 5 inch shell storage

Somehow making the USS Arizona's entire interior essentially an ammo rack feels wrong.

Funny idea tho.
