For what purpose was your nation founded and how?

The DGES was only founded in order to cleanse this filthy universe of the most egregious ideology to have ever existed: democracy.

How we came to be founded? We have an encyclopedia factbook for that.

[Democratic Exodian Territories]

We were founded to become a new home for refugees from the iFunny Skirmishes and the Meme Wars, and also to challenge degenerate nations of the world by spreading democracy, capitalism and the true nature of memery.

The Exodian archipelago (not called that at the time) was initially discovered by Kekistani explorers posing as British military officers in 1933. Now, in 2017, the Kekistani Alliance granted a request by pre-Governor William Shang and other refugees from the iFunny Skirmishes to have a home of their own, choosing this set of islands in the Gulf of Mexico. Exodia- founded by mostly refugees-turned-entrepreneurs and notable figures (such as Shang, who founded the Luna Arms Corp. and the Golden Star Merchant Line) or Kekistani civil servants (Lieutenant Governor Philip Paxton, originally a senator in Jotenia, or Senator Elizabeth Shirelle, former police chief in the European Kekistani Enclave). They gathered a group of around 2 million people and established themselves on the islands, with help from the Kekistanis. Exodia was soon officially recognized as a sovereign nation after that.

[Thermodolia]

Thermodolia is the union of two kingdoms. On June 26th, 558 the East and West Kingdoms joined together to form the United Kingdom of Thermodolia. The goal was to better defend against all enemies.

[Gandoor]

Gandoor was founded on 5 June 1587 when the various towns and other settlements established by the members of The Friends of All, who were forever banished from England due to their political beliefs, since 1574 decided to unify into one government.

The people decided to unify simply because they believed having a single government would be better than continuing as independent towns.

[Fendur]

The area that Fendur formed in once was a collection of smaller villages that mostly cooperated, although sometimes engaged in war with each other and villages from further away. This all changed when the Plague swept in from the west, and decimated the male population.

With the male population reduced to a fraction of what it was (And changes in women that led to less boys being born), the male population were contained for protection (Very few men were left). Skipping over some history, this simple act of protection eventually led to a tyrannical suppression of a helpless minority by a majority, and the area eventually collected together into Fendur. After two wars with an alliance of two neighboring kingdoms, Fendur annexed both and wiped out the native populations through genocide. Colonization occurred, technology advanced, we fought off an attempted invasion, and now we're the way we are now.

Our Nation was founded to unite the Hokomian people, ( who prior to unification lived in isolated villages) to better defend the homeland, and protect our values and culture.

Unification of the Hokomian villages was accomplished by our first and greatest leader Yuuki Sato:

Around 1346-9 AC Yuuki Sato was born, daughter of the great canoe builder in the village Ōki-sugi. As the youngest child of five she was not expected to learn the trade of canoe building like her siblings, and rather was taught to be a scribe and artisit by her uncle and to some extent her mother, although she pasted away early in her childhood. By the age of 17-20 she had become a prominent member of the regional government, her tenacious attitude lead her to great political victories. In 1372 she amassed as small army from the Sugi region armed with only stone blades, bows, and a few canoes, without government approval. She dreamed of unifiying the Hokomian people under one government.

The campaign for unification

The beginning of her campaign was relatively easy with all the villages surrendering without use of military force. The only real battles of the campaign were on the northern portion of Katochi; The battle of Karoi-ishi and The Battle of Kitamura. During the early morning of a winter day in 1373 Yuuki Sato and her forces entered Kitamura, she asked the council to surrender to her new government, but they declined. In response she ransacked the village, killing a small number of armed civilians. Hearing what happened in Kitamura the village of Karoi-ishi readied troops before Sato's arrival, however their forces were easily defeated by Sato's forces which increased in size with every surrendered village. One estimate (c. 1426 AC) put her force at approx. 1,200 land troops, and 60 Long canoes.

Karoi-ishi is also the location of her rumored first lover a women sometimes (referred to as akiko c. 1530)

We were founded when Serbia-Montenegro fell in two. After years of conquest, followed by many victories and failures, we have prevailed.

Vedastia was originally a loose confederation of warlords' fiefdoms that decided to cooperate with one another founded in the 16th century. Eventually, they joined the Sbemailzille Empire in 1796 because they thought that it would be a good way to preserve their liberty while at the same time enjoy decent protection from foreign invasion. As the Sbemailzille Empire became more authoritarian in the mid-19th century, Vedastia struggled for independence in a war that lasted from 1953 to 1963, known as the Vedastian War of Secession. The Federal Republic of Vedastia existed as a de jure independent nation from 1963 to 2016, when it became the Kingdom of Vedastia.

How: In a nutshell; the TIMESLASH tore Britain apart with anarchy and madness, and after Damien C. Quartz (a 'normal') was thrown in there, he was crowned as the 'God-Emperor of Britain', because all normals has the ability to manipulate the TIMESLASH.

Why: In a nutshell; just for fun. That's all to it.

How: It was never officially founded, it existed for a period since 1600 BC and was formed from multiple kingdoms.
Why: To preserve the sovereignty of the many kingdoms for foreign aggressors.

How? Well we just always been here since prehistoric times, at least ethnic Vannish. How? Vandenbrok a great Warlord about 600 years ago Conquered the land and 13 kingdoms that inhabited it. He then named himself High King and the new country Vandario. Why? Because why not? This is our land, we should rule it.

Well, the Republic as itself was originally founded in 2105, after 40 years of existence as the Confederation of Independent States (basically, the U.S. fell apart around the 2060s following increased proxy conflicts against Russia and China, while internal divisions caused an increase in government oversight: when the country fell, the Southern states sans Texas united under the CIS, at which point Texas came in and became the most influential state of the Confederation given its size and population - the Republic's name was part of a deal that recognized Texas as the dominant state), with the Confederate Revolution ushering in the New Republicans, a faction opposed to the continued existence of the weak CIS and advocated a stronger federal government, as the leading group.

As for the current regime, we overthrew a totalitarian theocracy called the Most Serene Republic in 2176, bringing in a provisional government until the Third Republic, the current government, was declared, intended to fix many of the mistakes the M.S.R. committed during its 36-year reign.

[Estado Novo Portugues]

Vatican City was overrun by the fascists during World War II, so the Pope and his officials evacuated to neutral Portugal who welcomed them with open arms. Portugal then became the new location of the Holy See (seat of the Roman Catholic Church). When Afonso Salazar (grandson of António Salazar) became appointed as president, he changed Portugal's laws so that they would even more closely follow the Bible, to help his people get closer to God.

Haggeliania is a shadow of a former empire's glory, the second haggel empire tried to rule the world opening multiple fronts but it got tackled by an alliance against us, a puppet democratic government was placed but a decade after a dictatorialship regime took over again (current government)

[Laba-Kubanian and Kerch]

The Federation of Laba-Kubanian and Kerch recently separated from Russia with incredibly skilled diplomacy by the leaders of the previous semi-autonomous regions of the Laba and Kuban rivers. Occupying east Crimea and much of the west Caucasus, the citizens of Laba-Kubania and Kerch are made up of the descendants of medieval Geonese settlers in the region, giving the Federation it's republican culture and latin script, and displaced Christians from the south. However, the area gradually became disenfranchised by religion in the Soviet era, and although no Kuba-Kerchian shed a tear when that regime came to an end, the influence stuck and the modern federation redistributes the wealth like no-bodies' business.
Basically, after the invasion of Crimea we separated because of our distinct culture and to be democratic and socialist away from the Russian Putinarchy, using superior diplomacy and hiding everything even slightly valuable.

[Agenca]

The United States of America's government was oppressing and violating the rights of the people, so the New England states, New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey declared independence. Eventually a fight broke out and Agenca won as soldiers and people deserted the United States.

[Auzkhia]

The Empire came together when Auzkhia declared it so in Berlin, the capital city of the defeated Prussia, after the war of unification, in which Prussia challenged the Frankfurter Confederation, which declared the Emperor of Auzkhia, the Emperor of the Germans, thus leading the ground works of a united German (with Czechs, Hungarians, Croats, usw) nation.

The United Socialist States of Vodkaslavia was founded because there simply was no way a bunch of small city-states could compete with full empires and kingdoms. And then space came along.

[Fatatatutti]

According to legend, Fatatatutti was settled by refugees from a mythical island far to the south called Pom Pom Galli. It is not certain what they were seeking refuge from.

In reality, Fatatatutti was settled a thousand years ago or more by exploring Polynesians who probably just thought it would be a nice place to live.

The United Empire of the Atlantic was formed in 2084 upon the unification of the North American Federation, and the United Kingdom of Great Britain, Ireland and Iceland, the latter of which was formed out of the rump of the UNSS.

Oh, and why? So that North America and Britain could protect their own interests, and what better way to dominate than by forming a superstate?

Ventalia was a collection of small kingdoms, principalities, and city-states sharing a common language and culture. Trade ties, the threat of invasion, and a whole lot political inbreeding manouvering gradually knit the country together as a medieval confederacy and eventually a nation.
