Aerobus Airspace is the airspace arm of the Aerobus Group. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bombardier-Aerobus and is an affiliate of the other Aerobus arms. The company also owns 45% of the Valkiir-based Republic-Aerobus and have joint developed several aircraft types with them.

The company is based in La Paz, Argentinstan with its primary factory at La Paz-Everett Airport and a secondary base at La Paz General Salinas International Airport.

DEVELOPMENT

The aircraft is the flagship of Aerobus Airspace, starting development in 1973 by John D. Rodriguez. The design was released to the public and to airlines, with Air Argentine placing a firm order of 20 AB-600 aircraft to be delivered over a 5 year period.

The AB-600 is based off the Boeing 707 series, with developers from many airspace companies.

The aircraft launched into its testing mode in 1977 with the aircraft rolling out of the Everett assembly lines in February of the same year. It flew from Everett Airport to Iqaluit, Mjobsarous for cold-weather testing of which it was signed off by the FAA. There, it completed its high altitude testing. It completed several more flights, gaining certification from the FAA.

It entered service on August 18, 1979 with Air Argentine.

DEVELOPMENT

The Aerobus AB-610 aircraft was developed to counter the popular Boeing 737 aircraft line, directly competing with it. The design of the plane was led by Surrey Templeton, starting in late 1981, after the success of the AB-600. The first model was showcased at the La Paz Airshow in 1983 to the media.

Before long it had entered its testing stage where the problems began with several injuries resulting from the emergency landing test at La Paz General Salinas International Airport and frost began adding up on the plane's exterior and the cockpit windows, delaying testing for several months. DEVELOPMENT

The Aerobus AB-620 was envisioned to be Aerobus' first wide-bodied, long-haul aircraft and started its development in 1987. With former Airbus engineer Clay Murray at the head of the design team, the design process took less than a year with multiple revisions.

In late 1988 it started its testing phase, flying out of Everett Field to Brasilia-Exec City International Airport for high-altitude testing. It then flew to Nuuk, Icetropical for its cold weather testing. It flew for transpacific, transatlantic testing, gaining FAA certification in 1989.

5yearsian Airlines took the first delivery of the aircraft on October 17, 1990.

The AC-100 was designed by General Carl Montgomery, now Secretary of Defense, with a federal government grant. The fighter jet was intended to be used by the Argentinstan Armed Forces exclusively though however it was later released for export.

It gained its certificate from the FAA in 2005 and 10 units were delivered to the Argentinstan Armed Forces on February 28, 2006.

DESCRIPTION

The AM-100 is a highly advanced fighter jet originally designed for exclusive AAF use. The fighter jet has an all-glass cockpit with all digital functions. It is impossible to all modern-day radar systems and its main systems are the side stick and a pair of throttles.

The Zeus was envisioned to be Aerobus' first supersonic jetliner, having been in development since 1988. This design iwas the brainchild of Malcolm Chase, who was instrumental in getting funding, leading the design and later the engineering aspects of it, including other smaller details.

DEVELOPMENT

The Posiedon was to be Aerobus' first supersonic jetliner, having been in development since 1986, but delays and underfunding, led to it being the second Aerobus supersonic airliner. This design was headed by Carter Donalden, who led this project through its proposals, design, development, and engineering -- all up to the first takeoff with Aeroplane.

In early 2015 the plane took to the skies for testing, failing on the first try due to a landing gear issue. It was grounded for 6 months while Aerobus engineers modified the aircraft and remedied the problem before retaking off in 2016 for testing. It achieved certification in March 2017.

Aeroplane took the first orders of the Poseidon on September 17, 2017.

DEVELOPMENT

The Aerobus AB-660 started its design in 2015, after Air Argentine showed an interest in a narrow-body, long-haul aircraft. Aerobus' Chief Engineer, Lance Osborne led the design and engineering team.

The plane is designed to be a narrow-body, lightweight, and fuel-efficient aircraft, capable of flying medium distances. The model was released at the La Paz Airshow in 2016 before beginning testing.

First commerical flight took to the skies with Air Argentine.

DEVELOPMENT

The AC-200 was designed by a team of engineers from the University of Patagonia, Rhodeston in coordination with Aerobus. The project was first displayed to the general public at the La Paz Airshow and a prototype as built, with Aloha Cargo (cargo division of Aloha Airways) expressing support for the project.

The first testing unit was built in 2005 and took its test flight in 2006. It achieved certification in 2006 as well before launching to the market in 2008 with a ceremonial takeoff flight from Natal to Brasilia, carrying a boxed lunch.

DESCRIPTION

The AC-200 is a lightweight, small cargo planer compared to the AC-100. The plane has a capacity of 23 tons.

Its flight range is 4,000 nautical miles, perfect for short flights with skinny demand, being able to handle short and skinny routes.
