The twins looked shook slightly, not by the fact that their former escort came in wearing a skirt, but by the fact that mere seconds after serving breakfast, someone had already finished it. "We appreciate your kind comments." Himiko said, bowing as Himito came out from the door connecting the stores. "When you're all done, emphasis on all, I have dessert if you want some. Today's dessert is a parfait with four layers of different flavours.

She giggled lightly.

I grinned back: "That it is!", I replied, leaning forward, "Makes one wonder..."
And that was, when Himito stepped out of the door between the two stores. "When you're all done, emphasis on all, I have dessert if you want some." I grinned - dessert to breakfast? Count me in, pal! "Today's dessert is a parfait with four layers of different flavours."
Oh, count me in, laddie!
With a grin, I began to eat again - not too fast, savouring the food a bit, but still a bit quicker then before. Dessert could come!

"Ah..." Baylee nodded as the pilot fairy explained what happened. Apparently, much to Baylee's relief, there was such thing as a naval attack. Instead, the fairy aircraft in mind had suffered a major mechanical failure while in the middle of a training exercise.

'That reminds me.' Baylee thought to herself with her lips partially inward - which combined with her leveled eyebrows - suggesting that she was pondering, 'Either we have some benighted workcrafters, pockmarkish gearware, or both. I reckon the other lasses know nothin' about this flycraft's fake step. Even if I do find the fellow in frain, I best linger unforthright if I can.'

Then, before pondering even further, Baylee felt a gust of wind picking up around her, which was not so much a problem aside from having to keep her skirt rigid (despite being in a squatting position); however, she quickly realise that the gust of wind was a danger to the fairy pilots before her. The two other fairy pilots seemed to handle the wind, but it was the pilot that still had their parachute and harness on themselves that got Baylee's concern to bear. The fairy pilot was obviously squealing to resist flying away for a second time; whom Baylee didn't want to have that occurring.

Instead of grabbing the fairy pilot itself, Baylee decided to tackle the source and grab the parachute upon the fairy pilot to prevent it from flapping any further. Grabbing the fairy pilot itself would only cause him/her to be entangled in a method of unintentional torture; a harness that would slowly crush the user the more the wind blew on the parachute. While Baylee was not like a carrier shipgirl or a cruiser shipgirl capable of launching her own spotter aircraft, Baylee knew that the fairy pilots were endanger of flying into the wind again if they stayed outside, so it was only fair that she held onto the pilot's parachute and allowing the fairy pilot to remove their harness and parachute.

"Seriously...? Dessert after breakfast? What is this, heaven? I could have sworn this was a naval base." Catherine laughed, holding her stomach slightly. "Best restaurant ever." She looked down to Rhi, smiling widely then looking back to the door. Once that was over with, she sighed with relief, slumping back in her seat. "I honestly haven't felt this stocked since I was transferred here. And that's saying something." For a ship that carries more fuel than Norway held in WW2, that truly was a big statement.

The pilot was already fearing for his dear life, his crew rushing forward, but they all knew, that they'd be too late. Either he'd fly off or have something else, something unpleasant happen to him - again, he didn't account for their first responder. Grabbing the chute instead of the pilot was exactly the right thing.
He dangled for a moment, looking up - he was getting too old for this, he thought, but then again, this was not a usual day for him. His crew cheered, as they saw, that their pilot was safe and, after a moment of catching his breath, began to untangle himself from the harness, dropping to the ground, rolling it off as he had practiced.
His crew hugged him, excited with joy and happy beyond words.
Then he turned to Baylee, smiling softly, requesting her to give him her hand - despite the difference in size, there was only one thing he could do, he thought, as he changed his headgear as well, looking like a poster-boy for flying fairies under his garrison cap. His two mates smiled, too, leaving talking and actions to their pilot.
He knew, what he had to do.

Catherine snickered slightly, looking down at herself and sighing. She can't really remember the last time she went to sea... or fired her guns in anger, for that matter. In fact, she hasn't really fired her guns at all. Maybe once during training, but. Her smile faded as she begun to contemplate her true effectiveness, or use, for that matter.

Pausing in consuming her dessert (destroyers, as a rule, don't get seen doing... whatever they're doing), Yakaze glanced at the ... battleship called Catherine. To be fair, the venerable destroyer didn't really know what to actually class her as, and that's coming from someone who know, personally, the Yamato-class super-dreadnoughts. Anyway...

"There's a time, and place, for everything. Just as one doesn't use a sword to slice bread, one doesn't bring a penknife to war. ... Well, ideally, that is." 'No, we do not mention the antics of Warrant Officer Uchida.'

With that, Yakaze turned to glance at the resident chefs. "Also, Himito-san. Your parfait is just lovely. Thank you, both, for your hard work."

With the fairy pilot freed of their harness and dropping to the ground, Baylee quietly giggled as she bundled up the harness and parachute to the best of her abilities. Her subtle giggling was directed to the other two fairies hugged their pilot; grateful that their pilot managed to avert a fate worst than death by flying away either into the ground again or into the water. Though it was when Baylee bundled up the parachute that she noticed the fairy pilot getting her attention at the corner of her eyes.

'Hmm?' Baylee mentally said to herself as she saw the pilot gesturing her to give him a hand. She was careful not to change her positioning as she laid her hands in front of her with the palms facing up and together like a spade. Though with the gust of wind passing by from earlier, Baylee momentarily fixed her black garrison cap on her head using her right hand before returning back to the ground with her left hand.

'I reckon he and his fellow chaps need a lift after all what has happened. I guess I be in the same lay of the land after bailing from those flycrafts.'

Base, Sector CN-17
RNC Coralier

Coralier gazed upon the notice board, a single finger on the piece of paper, as it pointed to the times when Coralier would have to go out on patrol. Of the seven days listed on the schedule, six of required her to be accompanied. Seeing this, she could only shrug at it, as it only gave her more chances to experience different things. Keeping those in mind, her finger slid across the paper into the Monday column and onto her name. Asking herself, Kokai spoke. "Hmm, I'm with Kokai for the. That's the other heavy cruiser, correct?! If I remember correctly in terms of firepower, the difference was only minimal in total, not counting those torpedoes of course. Although, my guns have a longer maximum range than any of his weapons, so I guess I can focus on keeping any potential enemies at bay while he closes in or fight off any aircraft surrounding us."

Shrugging once more, Coralier shifter her gaze to the other piece of paper on the notice board. "A Volunteer plan? Uh... I guess I'll sign on for the scouting missing on Saturday, since I only go out on patrol once on that day." Mind made up, Coralier took the pencil and signed her name there, before moving on to the restaurant. Upon arriving, saw that a good portion of the base was already up and about having breakfast this morning. Among other things, the largest of them all seemed to be happily downing huge amounts of resources.

"... Maybe not, I should have enough resources to last until dinner." With that said, she quickly walked out of the restaurant and just wondered the base, in hopes getting to do something.

Vancouver, again, sat through most of this time in relative quietness: she didn't know quite why, perhaps she just felt a little under the weather this morning, though as for why, she could not say. However, the offered desert clearly turned this around, and soon enough she was happily chattering away again, though when she got back from breakfast she'd have to think as to why she was so QUIET this morning. Perhaps this is the way she had always been, and just not noticed before? Ah, no need to worry, for now just have some delicious food...

Catherine sighed and looked to the small one. Her head tilted, not really expecting such inspirational words from such a small ship. All Catherine expects of a DD is to be cute and want sweets. She shook her head a bit, regaining her composure. "Thank you, for those words, uh... ms... destroyer... Er- Who is this 'Uchida' person, anyway?"

"But of course, it is hard work making such treats considering how we may have to charge people for more since high command may be cutting our budget." Himito sulked, the mood between the twins suddenly getting darker as they muttered something about having to make cuts to the menu. As they began to clean up some dishes and trays after they finished eating, some fairies came out from a smaller door as they tugged at the pants of Himiko. Looking down, her own fairies came out and climbed onto her shoulders from the rigging she had on as they spoke to her. "Oh? Breakfast for the fairies? Ah yes, let me just get it." She said to them before quickly running off to the back as she gave them small boxes which were bento boxes.

"Wise words often come from small lips.", I said as I ate my dessert, a small smile on my lips. The parfait was really, really delicious, so as Yakaze had made her remark about it being lovely and thanking the chefs for their hard work, she had nodded in agreement, her mouth being full at that moment, but not any longer. Coralier spoke to the two of them at the moment, while they prepared something for the fairies. I smiled at my two table companions, then to Vancouver, who was eating her dessert herself, then back to Caty. "Your moment to make bad things go away will come, I am sure of it. Maybe not today or tomorrow, but it will come."
I leaned back and drank the rest of my morning tea.
"Now, if you all excuse me, I wanted to take a peak at the notice board, see, who signed up for the volunteer missions." I gave Caty a wink - who knew, maybe she wanted to participate in one.

With a smile, he followed them and grinned, before he began to tell a story in his language, back from his basic pilot training, as he crashed over the sea, only to be picked up by a ship - not one as cute as Baylee was, but still a nice one... his recalling was rudely interrupted as a siren called out to let people know, that an emergency vehicle was on the way.
Indeed, such a vehicle came around the corner, bright red, a fairy clinging to the back bumper of the vehicle while having the time of his life by the "Whee!" dopplering towards them as the vehicle passed and came to a stop - only to spill out fairies in firefighting gear, who took care of the burning aircraft.
The pilot of the crashed plane looked up to Baylee and grinned.

Base CN-17

"I take it things went well, Chrysantheme?" NCS Novaya asked NCS Crysantheme, both in their exercise outfits, having came back from a jogging exercise that the latter forced on the former. "Yep! My fairies also told me they're up and ready to go. Even the purple-eyed and -haired fairy with that naginata of hers is also ready." Chrysantheme answered, her fairy Captain nodding in agreement. "Can't wait to to see Shinosaki and Shiroiyuki to be transferred here! I really missed Saki- and Yuki-san...." Chrysantheme then began to daydream of the two entering Naval Base CN-17.

"At you could say that." Novaya's fairy Admiral, riding on Novaya's helmet alongside a burgundy-haired and -eyed fairy Vice Admiral and a silver-haired and -eyed fairy Vice Admiral, spoke. "Hey, what's that?" Chrysantheme's fairy Captain, holding a cat's forelegs, looked at the rather large bulletin board, which has all the Patrol Plan. The two and their fairies looked at the bulletin board, with Chrysantheme's fairies' facial expression being that of shock and horror.

"NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" The at-the-top-of-her-lungs screaming Chrysantheme's fairies made shook the Naval Base, and their screams can be heard by nearly everyone there.

"Why!? Why isn't our ship listed in the 9PM patrol!?" Chrysantheme's fairies screamed. "Maybe because of your daylight duties?" Novaya asked. "Calm down, you guys." Novaya's fairy Admiral said as he hopped onto Chrysantheme's head and approached the fairy Captain and her crew. "It's not like it's the end of the world. So, let's just say the Patrol Plan can be modified for Chrysantheme to be added into the 9PM patrol plan." The fairy Admiral added. "I'd say that we speak to the Fleet Admiral (the Novayan Navy use Russian Navy/Imperial Russian Navy ranks) immediately. He/She knows what to do." The Russkie-speaking fairy Vice Admiral reasoned, as Novaya's fairies cheered.

"Maybe you're right. I think I'll try to be more controlled about this." Chrysantheme's fairy Captain replied. "Anyways, can we head to the Fleet Admiral's room? He'll/She'll needs to know." Asked the burgundy fairy Vice Admiral. "Or we talk to Rhiannon. It's much better when the Fleet Admiral's too busy." The Russkie fairy Vice Admiral spoke. "Yeah! Do it! Do it!" The Night Fighters fairies (some of them, anyways), who're riding on Novaya's shoulders, collars, head and helmet, cheered. "Okay! Calm down! Jeez." Novaya responded as he, Chrysantheme, and their fairies went to find Rhiannon and talk about having Chrysantheme be also a part of the 9PM patrol plan.

Himiko's restaurant

As the twins finished washing up the last dishes from the main meal, they sat down and sighed as they took a break. Every morning it was the same routine although the ever changing menu made it hard for them to properly sleep, and even during lunch time they still had no breaks. As they wanted to take a sip of water, they heard someone scream out as Himiko pulled out a pan from her rigging while Himito took out a solid block of Youkan. They realized what was wrong as a small scouting plane landed on the bar counter, explaining that the fairies of Chrsantheme were mad.

"Well, time to get to work. I'll start the chicken you go make something sweet." Himiko ordered as they each went back to their shops, the smell of sweets and savory food coming from the respective shops. A few minutes later, they each went out to look for the fairies, each carrying a box which was marked with their signature stamps. Reaching the scene, they sighed as they looked at the fairies.

"Oi, you want to change the patrol schedule? The light cruiser in charge is at the restaurant, haul your ass over and take this, for the fairies." Himito said as they both gave them the boxes before walking back to their restaurant.

Meanwhile, Kokai had finished and already left the restaurant, in half rigging only lacking his guns as he walked along the path, passing by the screaming ships that had just been passed boxes, not really caring about the fact that he was still wearing a skirt that barely made it above his knees. "That was nice, well, time for morning training." He thought, walking down to the training area as he requested that today's training was anti air. Although he was purpose built for it, it was still good to keep his skill level up. As he was equipped with the last of his rigging and sent out to the enclosed area. Orange planes came out as he raised his guns. They were almost symmetrical, in the design of Yamato with two on each side and one at his back which would be raised. His hand held a small platform holding 3 20 mm anti air guns, while the other held a depth charge. On his legs were the torpedo launchers, one on each side. As he smirked, the guns elevated and he raised his anti air guns up, firing practice rounds at the planes with the sound being heard throughout the area.

Higher Japan wrote:Himiko's restaurant

Indeed, I was still at the restaurant of the two supply ships as I heard the anguished wail of the destroyer, simply knowing, that it was because of the patrol schedule. I mean, whatever else could it be?
And I even had a relatively solid feeling, that it was because of Chrysantheme and Novaya not being part of the same patrol, never during the coming week. They had been together quite a long time, so it was to be expected, that they had a strong will to work together during their service here. I was not opposed to it on principle, quite on the contrary, but there were enough arguments speaking against it.
As the twins made off with the fairy's breakfast, hopefully not forgetting the airfield and the coastal artillery, I sighed and sat down near the restaurant, on a bench. Visible, how could one miss such a beautiful lassie as I was?, and still relaxed.
Suddenly, there was movement on my... 'argumentation amplifiers'. Looking down, I stared into the face of a cheeky little bastard of a fairy, clad in SDF-Navy Blue Dress, who grinned up to me as he stood there, requesting a bit of aid to get onto her shoulder.
"There are other ways to get onto my shoulder, you know?!", I grumbled, but smiled, as I helped him up.

Novaya and Chrysantheme continued walking together, holding each other's hand (Novaya, Chrysantheme, Shiroiyuki, and Shinosaki are friends, of course), as they find for Rhiannon. As that happens, the fairies of Novaya and Chrysantheme we're all asking everyone if they've seen Rhiannon, the one who made up the Patrol Plan, anywhere. It was this moment that one of the Night Fighters fairies, who was testing a rocketpack, comes by. "Oh, Rhiannon? At the restaurant of the Himi twins." The fairy with the jetpack said as she lands on Novaya's helmet. "Alright. PANZER VOR!!!" Novaya, Chrysanthemum, and their fairies said out loud (said yelling also heard by everyone in the Naval Base) as they head towards the restaurant.

Then they encountered the Himi twins, who handed them the boxes carrying the sweet, savory food inside, something that made their fairies hungry. "Arigatōgozaimasu, gomen'nasai!" Chrysantheme's fairies bowed apologetically as they all readied themselves for the sweet, savory food inside the boxes. "CAN'T WAIT TO EAT THEM!" Chrysantheme's fairies cheered, trying to hold off their hunger for that sweet food inside, for not doing so would make the other Novayan fairies really, really sad.

It doesn't take long for them to find their way to the restaurant, because they're already near the restaurant thanks to the jetpack fairy's directions, and the Himi twins themselves. The two approached the restaurant and looked around just as the jetpack fairy asked, "Say, are you and Chrysantheme in a relationship or now a couple?" The two ships looked at her and replied, "NO! No! We only held hands because we're friends, okay!? Even Shiroiyuki and Shinosaki and we do that every time!" Novaya's fairy Admiral interrupted them and said, "Guys, Rhiannon's there. Now go." At his urging, the two approached Rhiannon just as Chrysantheme's fairies approached the light cruiser and began their begging, crying, pleading, raging, screaming, yelling, trolling, protesting, petitioning, requesting, demonstrating, and so on of getting Chrysantheme onto the Night Patrol.

"Sorry about them..." Novaya said to Rhiannon. "They've been on edge since they just read that bulletin board that has the Patrol Plan earlier." Chrysantheme added, scratching the back of her head and blushing and smiling. "The rest of the Night Fighters will join them if Chrysantheme's not added into the Night Patrol." Novaya's fairy Admiral said.

I heard their yelling and although it was nothing new to me, I wished, for the love of the Gods, that they would give me at least the chance to get a few words in and that I wouldn't be too annoyed or something.
I managed it, even as the destroyer's fairies were doing their best to punt them like it was football - it wasn't helped, that my crewman on my shoulder yelled back and quite a few of my lads were rising to defend their cruiser, most of them stone faced, but clearly showing their disfavour of the situation.
I sighed as I turned to Novaya, a nice lad, and to his chirpy destroyer of a companion.
"You two really need to show them, what a spokesperson is...", I told them and shook my head, clearing my thoughts and speaking calmly over the commotion. "It's alright. Now, then, why did I put you, Novaya, onto night patrol? Because you are nocturnal and lets you use your skills best. Why aren't you with him, Chrysantheme? Several reasons, actually... One, I need you elsewhere. We have not enough escort vessels as it is and I simply can't plan you in for fourteen patrols, seven night patrols and additional ones due to a lack of escorts, a week or something. I already have enough of a bad conscience with Yakaze and her nine. Two, I want us all to mix a bit, so that we know, who is who and how everyone fights and that means, that pairs, who are already used to each other, would be less preferred as patrol groups. Three..." I made a small pause. "...three, in line with number two, it'll be educational for all involved."
I made a small pause, looking to the two ships, then to their fairies.
"Do you get my process of thought?", I asked and looked at them with a small smile.

Chuckling, Yakaze sighed as she remembered that NCO. Becoming a fairy didn't exactly dampen his spirits either, if the stories going on in the fairy network were true. "One of the warrant officers serving aboard the Yamato, both back then while we were of steel, and now when we are of flesh. Exceedingly lucky sailor, with a determination that was awe inspiring. Not many can boast taking out a plane with a service pistol, after all, especially while recovering from earlier injuries and directing anti-aircraft fire with a single eye all at the same time."

Later on, as she watched the proceedings taking place before her as she polished off the last bits of her sweets, the destroyer merely raised an eyebrow. "I suppose I will take my leave for now, Miss Rhiannon, while you sort this one out. I look forward to see you at the patrol later."

She stood up, passing by the tray return station to drop off her cutlery before heading for the counter. "Excuse me, Miss Himiko? I was wondering if I could perhaps get some food for my fairies? A few onigiri would do, really, just to tide them through the patrol later."

Chrysantheme's fairies heard what Rhiannon said, and they froze in shock like statues. "Uh... I think they don't take it lightly." Novaya's fairy Admiral said. "Not to mention what you said mate them becoming more edgier than the first." The burgundy fairy Vice Admiral added.

"NOOOOOOOO!!!" Chrysantheme's fairies screamed anguishly, their anguished screams heard by everyone. Her fiaries were on the table, cuddling and holding each other or themselves as Novaya's fairies went to get them back to Chrysantheme.

"And now they are unable to do their thing because only my fairies and hers aren't able to work together, they even cannot play games together or relax during our patrols." Novaya spoke, having accepted Rhiannon's thought. Chrysantheme, too, accepted that.

"If her fairies and the Night Figjtets come up with some protest, I and the marines will lead a counter-protest. Don't you worry!" The fairy Admiral assured them, having been with the fairy marines for quite a long time. "Someone get those fairies ro their rooms. They're too horrified to move." Interjected Chrysantheme.

Just as she said that, some fairy marines, the same ones the fairy Admiral mentioned, came up and helped bring Chrysantheme's fairies to their rooms. "I'll repay you with lunch here!" The fairy Admiral yelled at them fairy marines, who replied with, "Always available!" The fairy Admiral lay himself on Novaya's helmet and murmured, "I love the marines."

Catherine looked at her own parfait, stopping for a moment and blinking at it a few times. She thought about the volunteer missions for a moment. Catherine is NOT for patrols. She's only for missions that require a guaranteed victory. Maybe there's more than just a patrol mission? If she were towed, a different variant of mission would not be out of question. She shook her head slightly and begun to dig in. Empress might as well have a look at the board later on. There's no harm in doing so, of course. Then she could prove herself to everyone on base on just how effective she was... yeah, that's it. Her time must come soon, right? She wasn't sent here for no reason, so... All these thoughts rummaged through the battleship's head as she kept on eating her parfait.

The Selkie wrote:With the hand both on the ground, palm up, the pilot took off his cap and went to Baylee's thumb, softly pressing his lips on it in gratitude before making a step back and bowing his head in gratitude. His fellows were already sitting on the offered hand, grinning at the display from their pilot.

Baylee quietly smiled towards the spectacle that unfolded on her palms. These fairies were quite the special bunch indeed as they were not only grateful for her appearance on the scene, but also for her actions as well. While Baylee had no words for the moment to supplement her interaction with the pilots in her palms, there was another instance before that involved fairy shenanigans.

FLASHBACK START

The metallic opening of a locker door gently yet briefly echoed throughout the locker room as Baylee accessed her belongings. She had just got done from taking a hot shower, and she was glad that she was finally clean and refreshed from a long week of coastal patrolling. The frigid cold - or better known as the Atlantic Freeze - was something that all the Kraician shipgirls dreaded throughout the winter and spring seasons, and Baylee was no exception as she became grateful for luxury of a hot shower.

Being in nothing but her towel, Baylee was not alone in the locker room, since the other destroyer shipgirls - whether they were her sisters or not - were getting dressed as well and chattering away in their own banters; however, recent gossip had seemed to spread regarding the welfare of the base fairies. Of course, gossip could mostly be just rumors conjured to just blackmail certain individuals or groups; however, just when Baylee thought nothing of this gossip, it was when she got her undergarments on that she heard a familiar voice to her right.

"Top of the mornin', Baylee." Brinley nonchalantly greeted her sister ship, Baylee.

As a Bentlee-Class Destroyer, Brinley was almost literally a clone to Baylee; however, the few striking differences was that Brinely had brown hair and eyes, and she had a slightly lower pitch voice than Baylee. Both Bentlee-Class Destroyer Shipgirls were the same height, weight, and body types, though their personalities mostly contrasted from each other. Baylee was the quieter and subtle one, whereas Brinley was the more social and confident counterpart, and it was no surprise that she was often considered as the gentle loudmouth of the Bentlee-Class Destroyers...for good reasons...

"Aye, sis..." Baylee replied back as she was putting on her undershirt and skirt - with Brinley getting dressed as well via starting with her undergarments.

"You know, the showers are the much needed thearf away from the latest hearsays." Brinley sighed as she slipped on her shirt and undershirt.

"You be telling me." Baylee nodded while she grabbed and put on her standard-issued red dress shirt, "I hear that those bleedin' elves (fairies) had tossed about their own holiday. Who aleaved that kind of bullocks?"

"Some of our shipmates say the divemates (sub-girls) are at fault." Brinley shrugged nonchalantly.

"The diveboats (submarines)?" Baylee frowned before supplementing it with disgust.

"Aye." Brinley nodded as she fastened her skirt and undershirt, "I mean, can you believe that? Those utter wee cunts of all things had the balls to let their elves let loose."

"Sis, I don't reckon about the divemates having the balls." Baylee shrugged rather inconvenienced as she fastened her standard-issued red dress shirt, "Because if I withcall one spell of hearsay, the Fleethelmship (Admiralty) foreholds that the cruisermates (cruiser-girls) may be inheld."

"Aye?" Brinley gaped; however, surprise was more evident on her face than disgust, "You mean cruisermates like Clarkson? That mate is like the utter rakehell (pervert) around here."

"He is indeed, but I reckon he has trouble getting his elves under control." Baylee pondered as she fasten the last button on her dress shirt, "Not to say that he been bashing (partying) not long ago with the other cruisermates."

"Ah..." Brinley agreed as she quickly realised where her sister was leading, "So that is where some of the elves got the booze. I was wondering how those filthy fellows got all drunk and crazy. That makes sense."

"All just from my own thoughts?" Baylee frowned while reaching for her black coat and garrison cap.

''I never said that be utterly true, but that is something to withhold for the time." Brinley was fixing the last few buttons on her red dress shirt as she nodded.

"Aye." Baylee uttered as she put on her socks and boots, "Maybe we can beat some sense into those mates after they sober up."

"I reckon you like to teach them. Wouldn't you, sis?" Brinley chuckled as she fasten her on her black coat, though not before shooting down Baylee's disagreement, "But you can't for us wee shipmates."

FLASHBACK ENDS

Baylee was suddenly broke out of her thoughts when the sound of fire sirens drove towards her direction and towards the downed fairy-sized airplane. The firefighter truck came to a stop with the fire crew handling the smoldering airplane wreckage; however, it was when Baylee watched the wreckage be extinguished that she happened to look down back at the fairy pilots...only to find the pilot grinning up at her. Baylee chuckled nervously as she feared that something had gone amiss while she was lost her thoughts; hopefully that wasn't the case...

Nodding to Yakaze with a slightly forlorn smile, confirming, that I was looking forward to working with her, too, later, I turned back to the scene in front of me.
"Well, glad that we understand each other.", I said to both Novaya and Chrysantheme, "Now, I can't promise anything, but with some luck, and with enough escorts available to make three or more vessel patrols, we might be able to send you two out with some other lassies and lads as well. All under these circumstances and it might take a bit of time until we can do that, if at all, but here's to hoping!" I grinned and petted Chrysantheme's cheek. "You can watch out for your crush, soon and with some luck."
I grinned at the last part, before I got up again. "Now, then, if you two would please excuse me? I have a patrol coming up."
And with that, I went away, first to check on the Week Special Volunteer Plan. On my way, I saw a destroyer with a few fairies and apparently a downed aircraft. As there were no Abyssal-Bombs coming from the sky, I filed that away for later, especially as the destroyer and the firefighters had everything under control.
I still waved as I entered the Headquarters building.
Week-Specials Volunteer Plan

    - Vancouver.
    -
    -

Volunteers, please use the pencil to write down your name! Maximum number, 3 people per mission!

A good turnout, so far, I thought. Sure, Vanocuver on the Salvage Operation all alone was not the ideal situation, but maybe, a few people would volunteer to come along with him. I had a companion on Tuesday and two on Saturday, so I couldn't complain.
I smiled.
Who knew, maybe Caty would be interested in the Salvage Operation with Vancouver? She surely had large enough holds to gather much salvage and the destination was not too far away, so fuel wasn't that much of an issue as it normally would be.
I would try to talk her into it once I came back from Morning Patrol.
Then my eyes fell onto the cruiser standing by the board as well. "Good morning, Coralier.", I said to my fellow roommate and cruiser.

His fellows were already sitting on the offered hand, grinning at the display from their pilot.

The pilot continued to grin, as there was nothing wrong, before he began to tell another story of a valiant fairy fighter pilot transferred to his squadron of torpedo bombers as a mentor so that they could at least defend themselves, if push came to shove.
The mischief that followed, buzzing for example the base in his old place while their own training fighters were hot on their tails, and were only shaken off by misusing the hallways of the dorm buildings, much to the dissatisfaction of the resident ship girls, was almost legendary, especially as no one was hurt and nothing was damaged too much. Two days later, they made a bombing run in the hallways...
While his navigator was rolling on Baylee's hand in laughter at the first story, his bombardier was merely grinning and returned Rhiannon's wave.

"Anyways, we'll be heading to the restaurant to pass off the time and also eat. It's really boring with the loss of comms. Too bad there's no internet or video games thanks to those Abyssals. I really want one now." Novaya said. "I'll be calling my guys to head to the Training Grounds so I can review those marines and soldiers." The fairy Admiral spoke and left for the Fairy Dorms.

From Fairy Dorms, Naval Base Ship People Dorms
To Fairy Training Grounds, near the Ship Training Area

"Hey, guys! It's time to do our stuff!" A generic fairy marine, from the 17th Marine Amphibious Group, said as she waved around with her Sturmgewehr 44. "Like playing video games?" Another fairy marine, actually a fairy panzergenadier, asked. "Nope, but yep! We'll watch war movies and play video games!" The fairy marine replied, still waving her Sturmgewehr like it was nothing. "I'm down for that!" A PPSh 41 wielding fairy marine responded. "Me too!" A fairy shock trooper spoke. Then several fairies agreed just as the fairy Admiral comes in. "Oh crud! It's the Admiral Kolchak fairy!" A fairy panzergrenadier yelled out.

"I'm not an Admiral Kolchak fairy! That fairy's currently busy dealing with stuffs!" The fairy Admiral replied back. "Anyways, we got lots of reviews today, so we make it quick! NOW!" The fairy Admiral barked, causing the fairies to grab their equipment and head towards the Fairy Training Grounds. The fairy Admiral grabs his broadsword, his sling bag, his pistol and his pistol holster and also head towards the Fairy Training Grounds. The fairy Admiral stood on a Panzer IV, a Tauchpanzer IV, and looked at the fairies that gathered together. "Now that all of you peeps from the 17th Amphibious Group (a joint service military battalion and one of the ground contingents) are gathered, the review will begin... now." The fairy Admiral spoke as he started reviewing the 17th Amphibious Group fairies.

"Alright. We can all go now." The fairy Admiral said as he and the 17th Amphibious Group fairies all cheered and went back to Novaya and the Fairy Dorms, respectively. "Now that's more like it!" The fairy Admiral lays on his stomach on Novaya's helmet. "At least you gave them a short and fast review." Novaya spoke as he and Chrysantheme chuckled.

Amid Baylee's peaceful moment with the three pilot fairies, there was another group who was having a good view this heartwarming spectacle...

A few heads popped up from the back of Baylee's head - whom belong to none other than three ordinary Kraician sailors. Their black peakless flat sailor caps, and black and red naval uniforms (sailor shirt, trousers, and shoes) were a telltale give away in broad daylight, not to mention that sailors were all males. The left sailor fairy had blonde hair while the others had brown hair; however, scaling Baylee's head was but a meticulous endeavour since they had to inform her directly of an important matter from the captain fairy.

Any sailor fairy knew that trying to hang onto Baylee's shoulders would be like attempting to standing on an extremely rounded and steep boulder, so it was perfectly justified to find the three Kraician sailor fairies to be climbing on Baylee's head. The three sailor fairies that climbed on Baylee's head, however, were soon accompanied by two more sailor fairies (one an African and the other as an ordinary Caucasian) - whom they climbed up the same way the three sailor fairies came. Though unlike the three sailor fairies, the new Caucasian skinned sailor fairy had a bundle of rope on them, and he knew exactly why this was to be needed.

The blonde haired sailor fairy gestured to have the rope handed to him, and he immediately wrapped it around his waist. The blonde sailor fairy knew that literally giving Baylee a 'heads up' or a 'knock on the head' wouldn't get her attention, so he reckoned that jumping in front of her face might do the trick. He couldn't help but chuckle inaudibly for a moment as he gave the rope around his waist one more tug to see if the knot was fastened.

One of the sailor fairies got a grip of one end of the rope as he gave a questioning nod. The blonde gave a thumbs up and a positive nod before standing for a moment to allow his fellow comrades to get a grip of the rope. The African skinned sailor fairy was grabbing the remaining end of the rope while his three other Caucasian counterparts grabbing hold of the rope, and it was from him that the blonde was given the go to rappel; however...

The moment the blonde leaped backwards, a gust of wind and as well as Baylee suddenly leaned her head forward - not knowing of her fellow fairy sailors on her head - became the disastrous moments where the entire plan of surprise fell apart. The African skinned sailor fairy grabbed onto Baylee's hair with his right hand while his left hand was holding the rope; which happened to so be looped around his wrist. The other three Caucasian skinned sailor fairies had a mixture of fear-stricken reactions; with the forward sailor fairy loosing their grip, falling for a moment, and grappling for dear life from the blonde's waists; the middle sailor fairy grabbed the rope for his dear life; while the third sailor fairy did the same thing like the African skinned sailor fairy behind him.

"EH?!" Baylee grunted out loud as she felt the two sailor fairies of hers grabbing onto her hair for dear life; however, surprise was swift to overcome her as she saw two of her sailor fairies dangling in front of her face.

The blonde haired sailor fairy was dangling with the rope still wrapped around his waist, and it didn't help that one of the fairy sailors had wrapped their arms around the blonde's waist for dear life. The sailor fairy grappled onto his waist was yelling in pure fear before quieting down for a moment as he saw the large eyes of Baylee looking straight at him and the blonde sailor fairy with a partial frown. The plan of getting the drop on Baylee did no good when the element of surprise ended up being spelt upon the perpetrators.

"Okay, ye wee lads." Baylee spoke in a low yet calm voice at the two dangling sailor fairies in front of her, "That's funny...very funny..."

The sailor fairy grappling onto the blonde sailor cried out loud saying that he didn't come up with the idea of rappelling into her face; however, Baylee found that hard to believe when she can feel the weight and grip of three other fairy sailors on her head. On the other hand, the blonde sailor dangling by the rope around his waist sighed saying that he had something important to tell Baylee - knowing that bluffing in front of her was going to do nothing but put the rest of his peers at risk for much longer. Besides, he and the poor fellow sailor fairy wrapped around his waist were already afraid of heights.

"You could have just poked or jabbed me if you wanted the attention." Baylee uttered, "Besides, you're frightening the fly-stricken chaps below you."

"?" The blonde sailor fairy and the dangling sailor fairy collectively reacted as they looked down; however, it was at that moment that the dangling sailor fairy recoiled in fright and inadvertently letting go of his grip on the blonde sailor fairy.

The unfortunate sailor fairy was lucky enough to cushion his fall by landing on Baylee's arms and begin rolling down below to the three sailor fairies in her palms. His sailor hat unfurled off his head as he rolled down sideways down towards the fairy pilots, and it didn't take long for the poor sailor fairy to land with a thump on her palms. Of course, the sailor fairy was fortunate to be much alive and unharmed; however, he was still shaken from his fall as he laid prone with his hands on top of his head.
