The Event-OOC-OPEN [Character Based RP]

Life in South Bend, Indiana was normally up until January 27th, 2017. That night an undetected meteor shower hit the area causing minor physical damage to infrastructures the city and the countryside around it. However this damage was not the worst of what this shower brought. The meteors that rained down that night carried with them an unknown form of cosmic radiation from somewhere in the vast blackness of space. While this radiation was low in most surviving meteors, a few had large amounts of the radiation. These ones, when found by humans, changed how their genetics were structured and mutated them giving them powers. However most decided to keep their emerging powers hidden from the public out of fear of being shunned. Now, however, some are using their powers for personal gain and terrorizing the city and rumors of these superpowered criminals are starting to spread around. Even with these super powered villains the worst is yet to come. The shower brought far more than just radiation to this planet.

The start date of IC will be January 30th. Powers are just starting to manifest and any personality changes are just starting.

Welcome to The Event RP. In this RP you will create your character (maybe multiple if I think necessary.) and live through this new reality. You can have powers or be normal. Be a hero or a villain. The choice is yours.

Bio: Eva was always a good girl. She was the apple of her parents' eyes, she was her teachers' pet, she was a good friend, and kind towards strangers. She never rebelled in her teens, and once she met John Kiser she soon became a good wife to him, and a good mother to their children. She lived her whole life to please others, but with age she gradually grew more and more tired of the constant self-sacrificing. The problem was that she didn't know how to break the chain.

That all changed with the Event. The cosmic radiation that hit Earth awoke a new recklessness and selfishness in her, a longing for excitement and adventure, combined with enhanced reflexes, and enhanced pistol wielding skills. It also caused her body to become as 20 again. She now has the courage to finally do what she wants, and with all the years that she's been suppressing those needs, it's bound to be a pretty big transformation.

Bio: Eva was always a good girl. She was the apple of her parents' eyes, she was her teachers' pet, she was a good friend, and kind towards strangers. On top of that, she was always a good employee (as a nurse at the local hospital) as well. She lived her whole life to please others, but with age she gradually grew more and more tired of the constant self-sacrificing. The problem was that she didn't know how to break the chain.

That all changed with the Event. The cosmic radiation that hit Earth awoke a new recklessness and selfishness in her, a longing for excitement and adventure, combined with enhanced reflexes, and enhanced pistol wielding skills. It also caused her body to become as 20 again.

After that, it didn't take long before she packed a bag, took her gun, stole her husband's car, and left him. After some time on the road, she joined up with the local criminal biker gang, and hooked up with its leader, "Billy the Kid". But Eva wasn't there just as eye candy. She took an active part in the gang's business, and rose quickly in the ranks.
Misc: Pretty different from the other versions of her, right?

Bio: A kid from the suburbs of DFW, he's a chill one as far as people come. This of course is all dispite his fucked childhood. His life was pretty exceptional before that Sunday night in New Orleans. He was a single child of two loving parents. Sure, his Parents were Military Displinearies, but it was all in love. He played football for local teams, and for school teams. He was liked in school. It was good.

Until when he was 12, he and his parents went to New Orleans to visit family. His family however lived in the "hood" and his mother had a history with gangs that ran really deep into her childhood. She was able to escape that life.........until that night. Having left their family, and walking to their car when a car sped up out of nowhere, the window lowered, and a Winchester shotgun came out. Only 30 seconds later his parents lay on the New Orlean streets dead, and he in tears.

His Aunt Clara took him in, living in Texas for 3 more years until moving to Indiana where more family were. It wasn't a pleasant transition for Andrew, moving from his beloved Texas to Indiana of all places. He now lives with his Aunt, hoping to help the local football team and make the most of his time.
Misc: Speaks French and Spanish. History nerd, and trained in Martial Arts by his Marine Father. He is also helleva gun nut, and all the such. He was also a Running Back, helping lead his team to victory in the State Championship of Texas.

Bio: Caroline was born in South Bend Indiana, one year after her brother. She has spent a majority of her life attempting to please her father as much as she could, but has seemingly always been overshadowed, despite what she did. Whatever she did, he did it better. If she ran, he ran faster. If she jumped, he jumped higher. The only thing she could lay claim to was school work, and that was just because he didn't try as hard as he could. At least, until Caroline found swimming.

Caroline was an amazing swimmer since she started. She raced, competed, and won against other swimmers across the state, and more importantly, her brother. Caroline was walking outside late one night after a long swim practice when the Event occurred. She hid under a tree in a nearby park and waited for the shower to end. Once it did end, Caroline stumbled over a piece of a fallen meteor. She quickly headed home after that.


Misc: Very good at track and field as well as swimming, particularly the 200m, 400m, long jump, high jump, 4x200m relay, and 200m hurdles
