One question. Why the rifleman on the blue side of the banner holds an AK-47-like rifle?

On May 16th, 2017, an non-human force of unknown origin launched a worldwide coordinated attack against all manner of nations, overrunning those nations with small or nonexistent defense forces in a matter of hours, while other nation's militaries struggled to mobilize quickly enough to mount any sort of defense against an enemy that displayed a tenacity and brutal effectiveness never before seen in warfare.

It is now August, 2019, and the world in on the brink of losing what is now come to be known simply as the Invasion, while the enemy whom they have dubbed the Deluge relentlessly and unceasingly assault the ever-shrinking human battle-lines. Australia has long since fallen, while South American and African united forces have retreated into their interiors to fight a guerrilla war against the Deluge. North America, Asia, and Europe struggle on the onslaught, retreating to such strongholds as Bern, Denver, and Lanzhou. Humanity is fighting a losing war against a superior and more numerous foe, but humanity is also recklessly stubborn, and won't hand over their planet without a fight.

Welcome to the Geneva Line, on the former Swiss-French border. This 572 km, or 355 miles, long defensive line is one of the most active fronts on the planet, with never ending exchanges of fire and frequent assaults by Deluge forces. You are a part of an elite group, the European Defensive Reaction Force, a company-sized unit comprised of elite troops and special forces from many different European nations, all united under one banner to preserve humanity. Make no mistake, you are fighting against every conceivable odd, outnumbered an estimated seven to one, and completely outgunned, but you are the best hope Europe has at survival.

You will be performing several missions throughout the war, striking at strategic targets, defending crucial areas, and covering the "re-positioning" of other united forces.

Personality: An experienced soldier, Oskar has seen more than a few scarring missions and events, but he is still an effective leader and soldier, who deeply cares about his men and will do anything possible to bring them through the mission in one piece, while simultaneously bringing down as many enemies as possible.
Biography: Oskar had a relatively uneventful childhood, and enlisted willingly in the Army at the age of 19, instead of possibly being conscripted. After the mandatory 19 month period, Oskar decided to apply for the Forsvaets Spesialkommando, the Norwegian Army special forces, and, in a rare showing for the unit, passed his training with flying colors. He joined as a standard operative, but later specialized into being a designated marksman. He served on numerous covert missions throughout his career, from Afghanistan to the Horn of Africa, demonstrating exemplary service, and was eventually promoted to the rank of Sersjant, and being put in command of his own squad in 2011. He proved even better as a leader, and as both a competent and compassionate commander who cared for each of his men and tried his hardest to balance both the mission and their safety.

When Invasion Day occurred, Oskar’s unit was one of the first sent in to analyze the situation as the Deluge invaded in Trondheim and Kristiansand. When they first discovered the lethal efficiency and fanatical aggressiveness of the Deluge forces, even with their elite training, every single man in Oskar’s squad was killed, giving him long lasting PTSD that he still fights to this day. He continued to fight Deluge forces all the way up until the capture of Oslo in August, 2017, when the Norwegian government and remaining military and civilians fled to Germany, where the UEDF was first created out of the former EU and remaining Europeans militaries in Europe.

The formation of the UEDF helped at first, allowing Europe to score several victories against the Deluge, but this was short-lived, and differences in equipment and languages, combined with sheer odds in the face of millions of Deluge troops, forced the UEDF into a smaller and smaller perimeter, finally being pushed back through Germany, France, and Italy into Switzerland, where the last of Europe’s hope of survival occurs.

Oskar fought on the frontlines as a standard NCO for over a year, until ENDURE was formed in April, 2019. He quickly signed up, and was given command of Hoplite Team, given a brief introductory training to get to know the men under his command, and immediately sent to the Geneva Line in the southeastern edge of France, where he and his team, along with the rest of ENDURE, fought on the most brutal and active front of the European theater. While there, his team, again along with the rest of ENDURE, despite losing ground, lost it at a much slower rate and caused significantly more casualties to Deluge forces than any other unit on any other front.

He and Hoplite Team, with several other ENDURE teams, now desperately hold the rapidly shrinking line of defence protecting Bern’s western flank, the most recent, and likely final, capital of the UEDF.

ENDURE is a company-sized unit made up of soldiers from several different European nations, ranging from elite counter-terrorism units to special forces. ENDURE operates at the squad level, designated as 9-man "teams", to allow for their use all over the front. For cohesive purposes, the universal language of the unit is English, seeing as almost every member has at least some familiarity.

The Subject of Ammunition
While normally troops would carry around 240 rounds for their rifles and 40 for their sidearms, ammo shortages have forced the UEDF to only issue 150 rounds for rifles, 300 rounds for light machine guns, 20 rounds for snipers, 60 rounds for marksmen, 1 frag grenade per soldier, 1-2 smoke grenades per team, 5 40mm grenades for grenadiers, and 4 84mm rockets for heavy weapons specialists.

Roles in the Unit
ENDURE is designed to be a quickly-moving multirole force, and for that purpose specialized roles need to be filled so that the unit can perform a wide range of missions. However the fast-moving nature of the war leaves no room for crew-serviced weaponry, as all firepower possible is needed to be able to hold back the enemy, as such snipers must operate in pairs and act as each other's spotter, there are no issued medium or heavy machine guns, and there are no mortars to spare from the regular army for use.

That being said, here are the following roles that can be filled in ENDURE:
Rifleman: The standard soldier in an ENDURE team, they fill the main offensive role of the teams. They carry an HK416, and an FN Five-seven.
Grenadier: The closest thing a team gets to fire support, the grenadier expertly uses his underslung M320 GLM to flush out enemy positions and blow holes in enemy assaults. They carry an HK416 with attached M320 GLM, an FN Five-seven, and between 1-2 AN M18 smoke grenades.
Heavy Weapons Specialist: One of the two explosive experts in a team, they take out enemy vehicles or hardened positions that grenadiers can't reach or clear by themselves. They carry an HK416, an FN Five-seven, and a Carl Gustaf Recoilless Rifle.
Light Machine Gunner: They lay down the law and the firepower on the frontlines, providing covering and suppressive fire for their team. They carry an FN Minimi, and an FN Five-seven.
Combat Medic: The savior of many an operator, this integral team member patches everything from bullet grazes to traumatic injuries, trying to save as many of his comrades as he can, all along with being an active soldier doing his part to ironically kill as many of the Deluge as possible. They carry an HK416, an FN Five-seven, and a Military Infantry First Aid Kit (IFAK), due to shortages not allowing full field kits.
Designated Marksman: Filling the gap on teams that don't have snipers, but are able to pour more volume of accurate fire down range. They carry an HK417, and an FN Five-seven.
Sniper: The guardian angel of his team, though not every team has a pair, he watches from afar, picking off threats that other team members might not see or be able to hit. They carry an Accuracy Internatonal AWM, and an FN Five-seven.
Team Leader: The leader of the team, they direct all of the operators under their command, and lead their team through every mission. They carry an HK416, an FN Five-seven, and M830r LRF.
Swarmers
Image

The basic ground troop of the Deluge, generous estimates place them in the hundreds of millions, while some speculate they could number in the billions. Not particularly special in any way, outside of being genetically enhanced to have the strength and agility of a peak Olympian male, their true danger lies in their overwhelming numbers and fanatical disregard for losses as they make assault after assault on UEDF lines, and autopsies indicate they have a form of inhibitor chip that prevents them from retreating unless directly ordered to.
Tanks
Image

Tanks are a semi-rare occurrence, and usually appear during large-scale assaults on hardened UEDF positions that Swarmers cannot otherwise break by themselves. It is not definitively known why Tanks and other, more specialized Deluge troops and vehicles are not seen as commonly, but it's thought they are used instead on other fronts in Asia and North America, and possibly Africa and South America. Most tanks, while powerful and impervious to all small arms fire, only can survive 1 to 2 hits from a Carl Gustaf.
Beasts

Beasts serve to suck up ammunition, which they do very well, and keep going, allowing for Swarmers to follow them in relative safety as UEDF forces try to take down the Beast involved, with one account reporting that it took four direct hits from a Carl Gustaf and sustained small arms fire before being taken down. Thank God they are a rare occurrence on the battlefield.
Ghosts
Image

Ghosts are the Deluge equivalent of covert operations forces, stealthily infiltrating UEDF lines to attempt and take out strategic targets. They are usually killed fairly quickly after completing their mission, however the damage they usually do is great and costly for the UEDF. Thankfully, they seem to not be very common amongst the Deluge ranks.
Spiders
Image

An extremely rare but extremely dangerous part of the Deluge forces, Spiders can move exceedingly fast, have been reported to have cloaking abilities, and can withstand large volumes of sustained fire, and as such they have been known to single-handedly destroy well-fortified positions. Only about ten have been seen throughout the entire war, but every single soldier is terrified of the thought of a spider appearing. It is unknown how many more the Deluge have at their disposal.
Fighters

An uncommon sight on the battlefield, Deluge fighter aircraft usually spar with the increasingly weakening UEDF air force, but occasionally are used as ground attack and bomber aircraft, supporting Swarmer assaults on the UEDF lines.

1925


It is the 1925 year of the Fourth Era. Twenty three years prior the world drowned in its own blood during the War of Six Nation's. A war so large it spaned the globe and felled the oldest empire of the west.
Out of this war the nation of Kopolov was born. A buffer state between the Empire of Rickiveg and Havelhien.

The world has changed since than. In Rickiveg the Tsar has been murdered with his house, his empire burning in a civil war between the infantile Rickiveg Social Union and those loyal to the crown. In the west a economic collapse has sent shock waves around the world, dictators rise in the unrest.

Now even as Rickiveg burns in civil war, the RSU dreams of spreading the workers reveloution around the world. Kopolov is but one nation that must except socialism, or be irradicated.

War is coming, what role you play an wat side you fight for is up to you.

This is a fairly rough draft, but you know. Just wanted to stir interest.

It’s finally Summer Break, 1992. You’re practically leaping out of school, rushing as fast as you can in order to escape any psycho bullies or to catch the cute girls (or guys) outside and perform an act of bravado to catch their affection. But no such thing has occurred yet; and anyways, you’re too focused on your escape from 9th grade to really get intimate with some fine looking people or some snot-nosed bully. Instead, you stumble across something much more interesting.

Looking at the poster stapled to a telephone pole, you notice someone familiar. A girl named “Becky Garnett”, her glowing teeth in deep contrast to the “HAVE YOU SEEN THIS GIRL?” in all red below her. This isn’t the first kid to go missing in the small town of Bedfield, Kansas; not the first child at all. In fact, it had seemed like a plague, considering all the kids going missing, especially in a quiet little town like this. Bedfield of course isn’t without its tragedy, but this? This is something else entirely.

But you’re not going to let it ruin your summer. Right?






Innocent is a horror RP based on It and Stand By Me. In it, you play a group of kids who discover something dark lurking in their town of Bedfield; a something that’s been killing kids. Whether these kids decide to go after the monster plaguing their town, or let it get away to try and prolong their fears as best as they can, it's unlikely things will be easy to them.

While this is a horror RP, it is also a coming of age RP. The focal point should be the characters and their relationships with each other, how they interact, how they care for each other, and how the events of the RP change them. While you choose what to do in the RP, it's highly suggested that you investigate the happening around town for the most fun.
1. Don’t be a dick, in OOC at least. Seriously, don't. Constant fighting is not good, and will result in your kicking from the RP.

2. Don’t godmod, don’t metagame, you get the idea. All the in general RP rules.

3. If you are going to be away for some time, please tell me, either in OOC or by TG. If you just go and disappear with no words spoken, I’ll assume you aren't coming back and let your character go.

4. You’re playing a young teenager in the 90s. So, act like a young teenager in the 90s. This shouldn’t be too hard.

Welcome to Gnosis Chronicles: Secrets of the Raven's Ashes, a dark fantasy and supernatural horror roleplaying game taking place in and around the town of Branlludw, Wales. A large town known to house the highly prestigious Branfanc University, on par with Cambridge and other top universities in the British Isles. This once semi rural town has seen a massive growth in industry and urbanization as the town is now close to being called a city, a change that many older, more conservative, townsfolk don't like to much. Besides it's university Branlludw other well known characteristic is the almost anachronistic blending of old historic buildings and modern buildings that are slowly appearing and over taking the once small, humble, town.

Yet final characteristic that makes the town both equally famous and infamous are the many dark legends and unexplainable mysterious that haunts the town. Branlludw has always been a town where the most superstitious lot would say was cursed down to its very foundation, a curse as ancient as the old druidic tribes that once lived in the lands that the town would be built on or even older, before man ever step foot on the Earth. Ask any town folks and they would either deny on any of the stories being true or would mook you for a cheap laugh, but many of the long staying residents are keenly aware that something is wrong with their town.

Gnosisis a horror RP, first and foremost. Characters can and will die, so if your character is killed, you can create a new application and start fresh. Whether you're a student enrolled to Branfanc University, a person moving to the town, a long time resident of the town or even a drifter or a former resident returning after being away for some time, you all will start the game in the Branlludw Rail Station. During the start you all will be unaware of the darker underbelly of the town this will be a state that would quickly be undone and once your characters have their experience they will begin to investigate the many legends and secrets contain with the town. However the town contains many dangers,
humans or otherwise, and these truths that you all seek can damage your very mind and soul should your will be too weak to bare them.

2. OP/Co-oPs have the reserved rights to ban and kicked any applications for whatever reason.

3. Don’t be a dick, in OOC at least. Seriously, don't. Constant fighting is not good, and will result in your kicking from the RP. Leave the dickish behavior to the characters in the RP please.

4. Don’t godmod, don’t metagame, you all get the idea. All the in general RP rules.

5. If you are going to be away for some time, please tell me, either in OOC or by TG. If you just go and disappear with no words spoken, I’ll assume you aren't coming back and let your character go or control, which ever I feel like doing with them.

6. No one liners and minimal spelling and grammar errors. These are more general RP rules

7. This game will have content and themes that is consider mature to some players, but please keep it tasteful and don't break the site's PG-13 rule.

8. Do not control another player's character unless asked permission to do so, doing so without permission will warrant a strike. If the behavior continues to the third strike you will be kicked from the game.

9. Any character that shows signs of being overpowered or displaying feats that do not match with their stated skills, abilities, and limitations will bring forth the wrath of the OPs and Co-oPs as they will be forced to endure intense trails in the RP until they died where by the app will finally be rejected and the player who made the character will have a strike.

The characters that you play in this RP have been touched by darkness. Some event in your past, something you inherit from your ancestors or your own traumatic brush with dark powers, has opened a channel for the forces of destruction and madness. Such dark events has formed a part of your personality and is the source to most of your character's physical, mental and spiritual problems. Dark secrets will be used to form private sub arcs for the characters to deal with, to see if they will succeed on dealing with their own internal demons or fail against them.This list would include some good examples of what sort of dark secrets characters can have.

Curse: You and/or a family are victims of a terrible curse. Your eldest son sold his soul to the devil. Your youngest son may be destined to kill his father, without knowing it. Your character may be personally cursed or is suffering from one that was struck by a family member. You may live your life constantly trying to escape from the curse.

Family Secret: In your family, there is a well kept secret in which you were initiated to early in your childhood. Maybe your family were members of a cult or criminals. Maybe they kidnapped people and ate them alive or they sacrificed animals in the worship of dark gods. Perhaps they have ties with a crime syndicate or a secret society.

Forbidden Knowledge: Somehow, you have come across knowledge that your were not suppose to have. It might be connected to an industrial complex, the military, political parties, crime family, activist groups, a secret occult society, maybe even information relating to the supernatural. Whether it is normal or paranormal knowledge because of it you have enemies lurking in the shadows waiting for the right moment to strike, you may even have this knowledge without even realizing it.

Guilty of Crime: Somewhere in your life you were tempted to perform or take part in a terrible crime. You are constantly haunted by a bad conscience. It may also be a memory of a lesser crime in which you have magnified out of proportion with your imagination, you can even have memories of a crime you have committed by accident.

Insanity: Your and/or a family member has a mental illness. You are mentally ill than you can relapse at any time. If it was a family members than they might have contributed to the illness that you have. Your insanity can be linked with an occult or supernatural experience, alternatively it can be linked to a more mundane but equally horrific experience. There is a good chance your mind is trying to block out the experience from your memory.

Occult Experience: You have either participated or have been a witness to occult proceedings. It may have been conjuring otherworldly beings, sacrificial rites, opening portals to worlds beyond, or transforming a human being beyond recognition. The event can be linked to either your family, friends, or your own interest in the occult. If you picked this secret you are not an occultist. You may have done a spell once but in your backstory but for this rp your character won't be using magic.

Pact with Dark Powers: You made a pact with dark and otherworldly powers. You may have sold your soul to a demon from inferno, sold your freedom to a faerie or even forsworn the rights to your life after deaths, all for power, pleasure, knowledge and/or wealth. Anyone who has made a pact with dark forces is constantly terrified of their past catching up with them, some can even try to either escape from their fate or prolong it. You can not use this to gain supernatural powers for this RP as only the being who you made a pact with has any rule power, your are nothing more but a pawn.

Possessed and Haunted: In some point in time you have been the victim of either a spirit, demon or some other entity. It may have possessed you into doing things that to this day you can barely remember or it may have chase you and haunt you wherever you go.

Responsible for medical experiments: In the name of science you performed some dubious experiment in medicine, psychology or any other similar fields. You are haunted by the people you have hurt, crippled or killed in the name of science. You may also be prosecuted by either the victims or their relatives and friends.

Supernatural Experience: You have witness something that did not fit in the normal frame of human minds. An event that contradicts the normal framework of reality. This event could have happen anywhere in your life, only that you and maybe a select group of other are aware of the event. Perhaps you disappeared as a child of weeks or months and were found in the forest glades naked and with a wide smile on your face with no memory of what happened or maybe everyone in your town disappeared and rescue workers found only you. Your friends and families torn apart by demons from the outer dark or sunk into the Earth, leaving you as the sole survivor.

Victim of Crime: You have been a victim of some horrible crime or were forced to partake in some disgusting ritual or event that has marked your life. You rarely, if ever, tell anyone what happened due to both fear and shame. You worry that those that harmed you may return.

Victim of Medical Experiments: You have either partaken or been exposed to a dubious medical, psychological and genetic experiments. The experiment could have been about dreams, drugs, stress or even the effects of certain microorganisms in the human brain. You may even have your genes altered by a genetic experiment your parents were subjected to before your birth.
Character Limits

One character per player. Once they’re dead, they’re dead. It is best to have extra characters saved up, in particular having an extra being a relative, a friend, or even a lover of the deceased character may help out in quickly introducing them to the game as chances are if they were well loved than someone in their life would surely come to the town to look for them. You can hold up to two characters, no more, no less.

While characters don't start off with any heavy weapons or supernatural powers there is a chance that you may get your hands on both, however be aware that both come with their own drawbacks and messing with eldritch forces from the latter always comes with a price attach.

It has been 177 years since the establishment of humanity's first extraterrestrial colony. In that time they've discovered how to make fully functional and realistic prosthetics, artificial intelligence, medical advances that can extend one's natural life past 140 years, and most important of all, commercial sized fusion reactors. With a power source to field car sized fusion reactors, humanity all but exploded past the golden zone. Terraforming on the large scale became possible, asteroid mining became the norm, and colonies were set up outside the asteroid belt, on the Gallilean moons, Titan, and with a space station orbiting Neptune. Yet now humanity takes it's first steps past the Oort cloud.

With construction starting in 2203, the first colonial ark, The UTS Blissful Horizon, was finished and commissioned in 2210, with recruitment for humanity's first extra-solar expedition running from 2211 to 2215. The Blissful Horizon is the culmination of human achievement, equipped with an Alcubierre drive, ion thrusters, fusion based retrothrusters, a hydroponics deck, manufacturing deck, and cryogenics complement holding over 9000 colonists.

You will play a member of the ark's establishment crew, numbering less than 30 people you will be tasked with getting the basic necessities up and running; you are all that stand between success and the ultimate death of over 9000 people. You will play as a botanist, engineer, security officer, geologist, or any number of background, all working together in the vital mission of setting up a colony on Catan, previously known as HD20794 e, in the 82G Eridani solar system. An inability to problem solve or work together will result in the death of the colony, and the loss of human kind's future among the stars. Welcome to the Ark Program.



1. OP is veritable God, Co-OPs are veritable Archangels.
2. No Godmodding, Metagaming, or 'dickish' OOC behavior.
3. Keep it roughly PG-13.
4. No directly controlling another player character unless given permission to do so. As stated above you may freely control any and all NPC’s that are not central to any major plotline.
5. Posts must be a paragraph minimum. One-liners are unacceptable.
6. You character cannot be overpowered. You can die and every challenge should be just that, a challenge. Any overpowered characters will bring forth the wrath of the OP in the form of even worse obstacles and outcomes.
7. Be active should you apply. No need to be online 24/7 (as I certainly will not be) but don’t go through the effort of joining and never post anything. If you will be gone for any significant amount of time please leave a message stating that you will be gone. Those who do not risk having their characters killed off.

  • 2033 - The first self sufficient fusion reactor is powered on to supply energy to the civilian populace in Northern Germany.
  • 2036 - Lunar Station: Athena, is created as a forward research station, for both military and civil purposes. Later that year, the United Nations Orbital Association is formed as the regulatory and governmental seat for humanity's further exploration of the stars.
  • 2042 - The Colony of Olympia is set up on Mars, 300km southeast of Olympus Mons. The population sits at 200. Microfracture therapy is invented, to prevent brittle bone disease from cropping up en masse in Martian populations.
  • 2055 - The Athena Reactor comes online. A scientific achievement due to it's size of less than 26 metric tons, it signals the true beginning of the fusion age.
  • 2068 - At the age of 98 years, Elon Musk dies in his sleep of natural causes. He is buried on the peak of Olympus Mons, an onyx monument is placed near his grave site commemorating the man's contribution to human achievement. Olympus reaches the population of 272.
  • 2075 - The first fully viable cryogenics pod is tested on one Marcus Willingham. The test succeeds, and Mr. Willingham survives with only minor freezer-burn. Humanity begins to draft plans to colonize the Galilean moons.
  • 2088 - Europa is settled with a deep space mining station. Collecting water from it's surface ice and sending it to Mars.
  • 2089 - Martian Colonists build a drone retrieval depot, for the purpose of 'fishing' asteroids from the belt, bring them into Martian orbit, and strip mining them there. It is met with apprehension.
  • 2092 - Olympus' population breaks 1,000 people. Efforts to create an artificial magnetosphere on the red planet begin.
  • 2097 - The Singapore Space Elevator completes construction, the artificial Island it is created upon become international territory and becomes strictly regulated by the UNOA.
  • 2100 - Titan station is founded. It's mission is to aid in deep space exploration missions, and to harvest the moon's natural resources to aid in the full colonization of Mars.
  • 2106 - In an effort to generate a greater atmospheric density, as well as to create a viable construction site for a magnetic pylon, 246 thermonuclear warheads and 3 asteroids containing a majority of frozen ammonia detonate in the Martian North Pole over a period of eight months.
  • 2107 - Seeing positive effects of the previous attempt, the same event is simulated and attempted on the Martian South Pole over a similar time frame.
  • 2117 - A large year for Martian development. The first three magnetic pylons are developed on the Martian equator, as efforts to melt polar ice continues. Meanwhile Europan efforts to provide water are halted temporarily as efforts to continue forming a magnetosphere forge ahead. Mars also receives a seat in the UNOA.
  • 2123 - An industrial accident on Titan results in a hydrocarbon lake immolating and destroying roughly $8 trillion in crafted materials.
  • 2128 - The final three magnetic pylons are finished on the Martian equator, the North Pole Pylon completes three months later, and eight months after, the South Pole Pylon too finishes.
  • 2134 - After eight years of tests and deliberation, the Martian pylons come online. After six months, a notable change in the martian magnetosphere becomes apparent. Efforts to increase the atmospheric density of the planet continue.
  • 2139 - The first lab grown human is born, with no birth defects, and from fully lab coded genetics. There is not a single person alive genetically related to the child. Named "Eve" she is adopted by the program's head geneticist Igor Rostislavovna.
  • 2142 - Almost exactly one hundred years after it's settlement, Mars' atmosphere no longer requires pressure suits to traverse. Plants are shipped en masse from Earth to Mars, in an effort to finally make the red planet green.
  • 2153 - Two more colonial stations are set up on Mars: Shepard, and Gagarin. As of their establishment, Mars receives official passports, and Martian becomes a nationality.
  • 2154 - Following the example of Mars, Lunar, Titanian, and Europan too become nationalities. At this point the population of Luna breaches 13,000, Mars breaches 26,000, Titan Breaches 1,300, and Europa breaches 3,600.
  • 2157 - Mars holds it's first election after the cities of New Alexandria and Armstrong are founded. A flag is selected to represent it as an independent nation.
  • 2161 - In an expected turn of events, extremists bomb the Singaporean Space Elevator. Due to it's structural reinforcements and support redundancies, no real physical damage is inflicted. However 86 people of varying nationalities are killed. The UNOA quickly comes to the realization that they are not equipped for interplanetary warfare, and begin drafting plans to do so, as UNOA Officers apprehend any suspected extremists.
  • 2162 - Mars' atmosphere becomes minimally breathable. Walking on the surface of Mars with neither pressure suit, nor oxygen mask is possible for roughly 18 minutes before early stages of hypoxia begin.
  • 2164 - In an effort to prevent further extremist views from cropping up. The Lunar government outlaws the open practice of religion.
  • 2166 - The Martian Insurrection begins. After one of the planet's magnetic pylons is targeted for destruction, local security forces proved themselves viable combatants by defending the pylon and disarming the explosives set around it's structure. After three similar attacks in the aim of destroying major population sustaining objects, the Martian government declares martial law, and requests UNOA aid. The UNOA notes that no help can be supplied, as they themselves are also vastly unprepared for such an eventuality. In November of that year, The Elysium proving grounds are established. The Martian Security Administration changes to the Martian Armed Forces.
  • 2169 - The UNOA publishes 'Physiological changes in Extra-Terran humanity'. Within outlines the changes in the human physique on Mars, Titan, Europa and Luna. With Europans on average being the tallest, followed by Titanians, Lunarians, and Martians. Martians also seem to be the most able to adapt to low oxygen areas like the Himalayas. While Titanians seem to be the most adaptable to low light conditions. Eurpoans seem to be the most adapted to sub-zero environments, and Lunarians have extraordinarily elastic soft tissues allowing for a vastly greater chance of survival on low or even negative pressure environments.
  • 2172 - Eve Rostislavovna, the first lab born human, gives birth to twins In Gagarin, Mars. Ulysses and Hapfthor.
  • 2176 - The first fully sentient and unrestrained AI, Iris, is created in the Elysium Proving Grounds on Mars. After three months of being online it is given a connection to orbital traffic monitors, all tax records, traffic records, and helmet cams to every soldier of the MAF. He begins effectively ending the Martian Insurrection slowly and methodically.
  • 2178 - The UNS Black Valour finishes it's construction at the Athena Shipyards. It is the first martially based starship created by mankind. Bolstering a number of fusion based engines, ion thrusters and a trio of Heavy Fusion Reactors, it can safely travel to Pluto and back before requiring a resupply. It is the most powerful object ever created by mankind, armed with a number of missile batteries, three belly based mass drivers, and a Heavy Coil gun mounted into the ship's superstructure, a single volley of projectiles could result in a combined energy output of 60 megatons of TNT. In April of it's first year, the Martian government resends it's request for UNOA assistance in attacking a Insurrectionist stronghold. The request is authorized, and the stronghold becomes the recipient to a single orbital strike, reducing it to nothing but a crater. A day later, the leader of the insurrectionist movement requests a parlay in order to negotiate a cease fire. The Martian Insurrection ends.
  • 2183 - Orbital photos of mars show vast changes since it's first settlement. Large patches of green can be discerned, while superhighways and settlements dot and crisscross the now greening surface. Martian air has reached a point in which permanent removal of oxygen masks is possible. Mars becomes a fully sustainable planet should the magnetic pylons remain active. In an effort to change this, the Martian government starts brainstorming plans to restart the core of the planet.
  • 2187 - A catastrophic failure of a fusion reactor on Europa converts three thousand tons of ice into steam, before a prompt electrolysis reduces it into oxygen and hydrogen. The resultant explosion causes the formation of the Bethe Crater, 727 meters deep, and over 2,300 meters in diameter. The shockwave resulted in ice fissures up to 600 kilometers away, and killed over 800 people. It remains the most notable reactor failure of this scale since the Chernobyl or Fukushima incidents.
  • 2191 - The Oort Deep Space Monitoring Station (ODSMS) is built and deployed on the outside of the Oort cloud. Staffed by the AI Sparrow Hawk, the mission is to monitor for any transmissions sourced from extra-solar destinations and forwarding them to the nearest human population.
  • Early 2195 - After both Sparrow Hawk and a UNOA maintenance team lose contact with all human settlements, a recovery team is deployed, before subsequently being lost as well. Fearing the worst, Mars and the UNOA begin the fast track to continuing their orbital ship programs. The Black Valour is dispatched the the Oort cloud, and encounters hostiles. In the form of a rampant Sparrow Hawk and the weaponized civilian ships sent to check on the ODSMS. The Black Valour proves to be more than a match, dispatching the AI and the civilian ships in less than a day over Neptune.
  • Late 2195 - After news of the battle reaches the UNOA, they issue a ruling that all AI within the Sol system be indefinitely disabled or recoded to no longer remain sentient. All planets sans Mars comply. The UNOA maintains their pressure on Mars as the two try to negotiate.
  • 2197
    • March - Two years of negotiations and attempts to get Mars to disable their AI reaches a head, as Mars completes it's first starship: The MSV Void Runner. The UNS Black Valour moves into orbit over Olympus, as they issue an ultimatum to the Martian Gov't, disable all planetary AI within three days, or Olympus will receive an orbital bombardment. Extra-Terran nations all protest to such a use of force, as well as a number of Earth based nations. On the third of March, at 3:47 PM, Captain of the Void Runner Ahmed Berrada and the AI aboard, settle to fire upon the Black Valour. Three minutes later a 600ky Nuclear warhead was fired from the ship's coil gun, impacting the bridge of the Black Valour and disabling all it's sytems in a nuclear detonation. The ship would then fall from orbit and land forty kilometers north of Olympus Mons. The UN-Martian War begins.
    • April - Less than a month after the destruction of the Black Valour, the Void Runner enters Earth's orbit, before deploying 2,000 members of the MAF through SSTO capable drop ships. The UN building in New York is seized, and Mars forces negotiations upon the UNOA. AI's remain heavily regulated, and are only open for use in vital postings, but Mars remains the martial superpower in the system.
  • 2200 - Mars now has several biomes on it's surface. Ranging from boreal forest to red desert. Earth based life slowly begins to be introduced to the planet. Mars' population breaks 30 million. And the cities of Hawking and Curie are built near the equator and north pole respectively.
  • 2201 - The still realtively broken spirited UNOA attends a final parlay between themselves, the Extra-Terran Colonies, and Mars. They sign the Red-Blue Co-Existence treaty. Reforming the UNOA, Extra-Solar Colonies, and Mars into the United Terran Union. Mars remains the heart of Military authority and production, while Earth remains home to the softer side of things. The Extra-Solar Colonies remain small as ever, yet still growing and adapting, supplying both Mars and Earth with supplies to keep them alive.
  • 2202 - The Ark Program begins.
  • 2203 - The UTS Blissful Horizon begins it's construction at the Deimos Shipyards.
  • 2210 - The UTS Blissful Horizon finsihes construction, and is commissioned later that same year.
  • 2211-2215 - Recruitment drives for the Ark Program are started and finished in this time.
  • 2216 - The Blissful Horizon departs Deimos for Catan.
  • 2219 - Present Year
  • Two Characters Max.
  • Mars, Luna, Europa and Titan are Nations.
  • No characters over the age of 55.
  • All characters must have a educational degree of at least Master's Degree.

Welcome to Division Zero, a law enforcement RP that also takes a few themes from the spy genre. You control a member of Division Zero, a secret FBI task force that handles black operations. Zero also responds first to emergencies and terrorism, making them one of the first and last lines of defense for the country. The organization doesn't officially exist, and often handles tasks that the FBI cannot, due to legal reasons. Everyone who works for the organization got there by either performing well in another agency, or by graduating near the top of their class at the Quantico FBI Academy.

As a member of Zero, you're expected to deploy anywhere in the country at a moment's notice. When there's terrorist activity, you will be the ones to work with the local police and with other intelligence agents to solve the situation with as few civilian casualties as possible. You'll also handle black operations, and investigations that may have dubious legality. Members reside in government owned housing, with one housing complex per FBI region. However, this RP will follow the agents of the South Region, and your agents will live in apartments in Dallas. Most of the planning for operations will take place in the nondescript office building that's located across the street from the apartment complex.

The RP itself will be squad based and will be something like a procedural. You'll have to handle a varietry of things, from investigations to counter terrorism. Every character will be assigned to a small unit, and every unit will have their own job during each operation. Certain actions that are important to the story will be taken with the use of dice, to make things interesting. Dice rolls will be based on difficulty. Something with a 20% difficulty will only need a roll of 2 or higher. Something with 50% difficulty will need a roll of 5 or higher. The difficulty of each task is up to the discretion of the GM and Co-GM.

Instead of a little list for the rules, I'm going to get a bit more specific. I'm not mentioning the super obvious stuff, either. You already know to follow the main forum rules. Basically, don't do anything crazy enough to get the mods to warn or ban somebody or get the thread in trouble. With that being said, this is a thread about an intelligence agency that does black ops sometimes. Everything isn't going to be sunshine and rainbows. Also, this is a semi-realistic RP. While it revolves around a fictional organization and stretches realism in some areas for that, things like combat and the investigations should be handled realistically.

Your characters won't know everything during investigations, and while Division Zero often operates illegally, you won't just be able to kick doors down and start shooting up the bad guys without anything backing up your case. You also aren't invincible during combat. The dice system ensures that your character can be wounded or killed. That fact should make you a bit more careful about initiating combat without making sure it's the best way to deal with something. You also have to play a balanced character, even though this should go without saying. Your application is going to get denied if you sign up with someone who excels in many areas while having little to no weakness.

If you're fine with all of that, go ahead an enlist.
