So, when I get hit with these 538 nukes thrown at me by a winning faction, will it destroy my nation entirely to the point where a new nation will have to be made?

Any semblance of the old nation(s) no longer exists. This new nation is approximately 260 years after the last update to the former incarnation of this account. It was physically painful to delete all those factbooks....

Yes, if you get hit by 100 nukes, you get destroyed.

But no, the nation will not be affected in the main game.

If at least 100 nukes manage to hit you, then your nation is unusable for the rest of the nuclear event.

It's only an event, so your actual nation won't be destroyed.
