Multilateral meeting between Samudera, Ainslie and Orsandia
Date of Commencation Tuesday the 15th of August, 2017:

• Feng Li, Secretary of State of Orsandia and her delegation.

General Information
As the waters of the lake gently dance up and down the shores, the peaceful and tranquil town of Morrisett is graciously receptive of it, very much knowing the plight of Ahnslen farmers further inland. Set a couple blocks away from the shoreline stands the Revakere Building, named after the famous Welling leader Thierry Revakere who was one of the first leaders of the community to faciliate and initiate the establishment of the Norland Trading Company. Morrisett is roughly an hour's drive from the nearest international airport, Wellington. There are helicopter services available in the town. There is already security at the building and it will be there prior to the entry of the delegations. In a break from standard protocol, there will be no Judicial Council representative preciding over the event, due to the nature of it being a relatively small discussion between three different nations and not a multination diplomatic summit.

The Orsandian Delegation has departed for Arnton International Airport, and shall arrive soon. Prime Minister Yxngzhao sends his salutations and hopes the meetings run smoothly

The Orsandian Delegation is preparing to land in Arnton Int'l Airport, and shall make their way to Morrisett upon arrival.

Andrew Whitford walks into the building early alongside his delegation and takes his seat at the table where the talks will happen. He is excited to grasp an opportunity to incorporate Orsandia into the foreign affairs landscape of Ainslie, and he seeks to develop a strong relationship with the nation.

[Samudera]

Cahyadi Kunakara arrived in Morrisett, after an hour's drive from Wellington International Airport. He was happy to see the pleasant view of the Lake Morrie. A nice change after a 3-hour flight from Samudera. He then proceeded to enter Revakere Building, excited to meet Orsandian and Ahnslen delegates.

After a brief Delay, Feng Li and the Orsandian delegation finally arrived at Morrisett. Li gazed over and admired the tranquil and majestic setting, and proceeded to enter the Revakere building, happy to finally begin talks with the representatives of Samudera and Ainsile.

Welcome Mr Li and Mr Kunakara, shall we begin?

[Samudera]

Yes, we shall begin the conference. I'm interested in discussing several agenda with both the honoured delegate of Ainslie and Orsandia.

[Orsandia]

Lets begin, I await to hear from my colleagues so we may begin this discussion.

I would like to begin by thanking Ainsile for hosting this meeting, and Samudera for joining us for these diplomatic discussions. This marks a new start for Orsandia as we go on forth to establish relations with our neighbors in Gael and within the Western Isles. There is much to be talked about, and I look forward to fostering newfound cooperation between all nations represented today.

Yes, there is much to discuss - I am of the correct belief that your nation has a capitalistic, mixed market economy?

[Samudera]

Thank you for your kind word, Ms. Li. I'm Cahyadi Kunakara, Foreign Minister of Samudera. I'm glad to meet both of you here, as i have much to say here. May i begin talking about economic cooperation?

Thank you for your kind word, Ms. Li. I'm Cahyadi Kunakara, Foreign Minister of Samudera. I'm glad to meet both of you here, as i have much to say here. May i begin talking about economic cooperation?

It is nice to meet you, Mr.Kunkara. We came here with economic cooperation and boosting economic ties as one of the main priorities, and we, as well as our industry leaders, are welcome to the idea of investing in areas of interest with Samudera and Ainsile

I believe the Samuderan delegation would like to begin the talks - so, let's hear what the have to say.

[Samudera]

As both of you may know, Samudera's industry and technology sector had been growing at such a rate unbelievably fast. One prime example includes, but not limited to, GO-TOR company, which had the biggest online transportation market in the nations it served. (OOC: GO-TOR could be equated to Uber IRL) Many more examples are present in Samudera, with many talents ready to get their startup funded enough to make it into the markets. I would give Ainslie and Orsandia the first chance to invest in our promising and diverse industry.

*A voice chimes up from behind the Secretary*

I am Stanley Lang, and I am the founder of Orsandia's most successful startup, Marathon. I am glad to see that scientific and technological innovation being similarites in regards to bolstering our economic growth. We would be interested in investing, purchasing stocks, and helping expand GO-TOR into Orsandia/ Marathon into Samudera/Ainsile. This will boost both economies with the creation of jobs. Marathon relies on quick deliveries and shipments to our customers. Maybe we can facilitate a partnership between Marathon and GO-TOR ? You think this would be a good idea, right Secretary Li ?

*Li nods head in approval*

What say our lads from Ainsile ? I think they should get in on this too. Like Secretary Li stressed, we hope we can use technology as a tool to bind our nations together in economic cooperation and friendship.

We are happy to let them expand into Ainslie, but regulation would be required in order to protect the local businesses doing similar activities and to keep the competitive marketplace we have in that industry.

[Orsandia]

Im not sure about Samudera and Go-Tor, but Mr.Lang and I could happily work within Ainsiliean laws and remain as a economic boost as well.


As for Orsandia, like Mr.Lang menitoned, Our lax regulatory proceedures, pro-market attitude, and holding one of the lowest tax rates in Gael allows us to host one of the more efficient and vibrant economies around. Companies such as Marathon (Retail/E-Commerce), Zuring (Civil/Military Aviation), Orsolabs(Cybersecurity), PEG(Investment/Entertainment, and others round out a very healthy and booming economy. Orsandia has its own "Sillicon Valley" dedicated to pushing the limits of scientific advancement and technological innovation to improve the lives of Orsandians and others. There is also a notable logging and manufacturing industry here as well. We would like to get our business leaders in contact with both of you in an attempt to create economic cooperation and partnerships between different companies.

Aside from all of the private sector dealings, the notion of trade is still prevalent on our minds, and one of the goals of the Orsandian govt. was to foster a free trade deal between Samudera and Ainsile, and if interested,would like to begin preliminary negotiations.

The Ahnslen delegation does not wish to have a free trade agreement at this point. We are willing to discuss other issues and agreements, but unfortunately our relationship is not strong enough to warrant a FTA yet. Apologies, but we just simply do not think our relations are advanced enough at this stage.

[Samudera]

We are open to any agreement, as long it doesn't give us disadvantage. Right now, i think it'll be suited to have a tarrif and tax agreement between three of us. Since Ainslie and Samudera is part of the Cooperative Union common market, this should provide Orsandia with many advantage, and at later stage we could consider a free trade agreement. I'm waiting fellow Ahnslen delegate to respond to my suggestions.

That aside, it should be noted that Samudera's policy is a bit protectionist. But i'm sure Samudera would relax its regulation a bit for our neighbours.

Regarding your companies, Ms. Li, Orsandia are free to open them here. But it should be noted that they need to abide the regulations. We need more industrial sector in Samudera, to support growing population and demand, and to be competitive in the markets. I'm personally interested with Orsandia's "Sillicon Valley", as Samudera herself are a hotspot for many rising technology startup. I hope we could cooperate on this matter.

The Ahnslen delegation does not wish to have a free trade agreement at this point. We are willing to discuss other issues and agreements, but unfortunately our relationship is not strong enough to warrant a FTA yet. We will respect Ainsile's wishes and will refrain from such discussions until relations grow more. We are interested in hearing about issues and other agreements Ainsile may have in mind for Samudera and ourselves. We are currently building our International District that will house the embassies of other nations, and we would like to extend Samudera and Ainsile the first formal invitations to establish embassies/consulates in the International District of Orsandia.

I am happy to hear that Samudera is open to cooperation on technology and enhancing innovation that will benefit both of our countries dearly, Mr.Kunkara. Maybe we can lay some groundwork for a partnership of sorts that focuses heavily upon improving STEM related education oppritunites for students in both of our nations, possible cooperations on research, and continuing to foster the innovative and visionary spirit that both of our tech industries rely heavy upon to continue growing of sorts ?

Per the wishes of Ainsile, I agree its best to leave trade talks alone until a later date when we all become much more acquainted with each other. I have not heard of this "Cooperative Union" before. If its not a burden, can you please give a brief description of what it is ?

The Cooperative Union, in brief, is an economic union formed by a group of liberal democracies which have a treaty which spans laws, trade, education and immigration. Samudera will be happy to cooperate with Orsandia regarding STEM educations. Samudera has many talents, and many will be happy to have a chance. A partnership will be beneficial to both of us, as Samudera will always need help from its neighbour to improve in its education sector. Along with rare opportunity to cooperate in technology industry with Orsandia. I hope Ainslie will be interested in this talk as well.
