After a prolonged negotiation with Schwerpunkt Arms, a decision has been made to allow Allanean Defense Exports to market and sell Schwerpunkt products and via the services of the Allanean Defense Exporter Association. Because we are the best, and most professional, defense exporter group in the region, it was decided that it would be the most useful to allow hire us to bring Schwerpunkt Arms weaponry to market throughout the world.
The Firearms Division develops and produces not only firearms but other light weapons and infantry equipment. Click an image to view the detailed product page!

OOC: Having spoken to Nachmere, who is the owner of Schwerpunkt and all designs herein, we have decided that I will be selling Schwerpunkt products via the Allanean Defense Exports storefront. In-character, this is as a result of a cooperation between the Allanean Defense Exporters Association and Schwerpunkt arms. If you order these products, they’ll be manufactured IC either by some Allanean arms maker, or by a Nachmerean one, depending on a variety of circumstances.

Please make all orders via the main Allanean Defense Exports storefront.

In making your orders, please make them in-character, and provide at least the following information:

When making an order for a police or military agency, inform us how much of the products you want to buy, how much you are going to pay us, and whether or not you want to purchase DPR.

When making an order for your civilian market, instead of making a single order for a batch of firearms, it is preferable to inform us how many of the items are sold per year.

Thank you all!

Specifications:
Type: Double Action Only Sub Compact Pistol
Cartridge: 9X17mm
Weight Unloaded: 350g
Width: 1.95cm
Length: 130mm
Height: 10.3cm | 14.6cm with extended magazine
Barrel Length: 69mm
Magazine Capacity: 6 rounds or 7 rounds (extended grip magazine)
Cost per unit: 325 USD
DPR: 32,500,000 USD
For civilian markets, please ask for rights to import and sell, retail price is around 390 USD

The SCP9 is a sub-compact pocket pistol developed by Schwerpunkt for the civilian concealed carry market as well as the law enforcement and military back up gun niche. The pistol is extremely short, thin, and lite, making it ideal for these uses.
To allow for a very small pistol and retain at least adequate lethality, Schwerpunkt elected tochamber the pistol in 9X17mm(.380mm), a cartridge which is making a comeback in popularity as a personal defense caliber. The pistol is capable of firing +P ammunition.

Unlike many other pistols of this caliber, the SCP is a hammer fired, short recoil operated design. While making the system work in such a small frame was a challenge, Schwerpunkt engineers found it useful to reduce the significant felt recoil in such a light pistol.

The trigger is a double action only mechanism, and the pistol should be carried with a round chambered. Pressing the trigger both cocks the hammer and drops it, as needed in a weapon used mostly for point black self defense situations where manipulating the slide may waste critical time. As the pistol is extremely short and narrow, it is fitted only with a manual slide hold open device, which does not automatically engage with the last round of the magazine. A loaded chamber indicator pops up when a round is chambered and is clearly visible, to make sure the user needs only look to know if the pistol is "hot".

To make the gun as easy to carry concealed and quickly draw and fire, there is no safety lever. As a DAO pistol, the SCP is quite safe, and will not fire unless the trigger is pulled. The magazine release button is located near the base of the trigger guard, and can quite easily be adjusted for left-handed shooters. Other than the magazine release and slide-hold-open, there are not protrusions or other obstructions on the pistol, which is shaped to be as snag free as possible. An exception to this are the nearly full size sights, which offer very good target acquisition for such a small pistol.

The glass fiber frame, reinforced in some places by titanium alloy, is extremely durable, and can be ordered in various colors and texturing patterns. It has a rather large trigger guard which allows firing even with gloves, despite the guns diminutive features. The slide is made of tennife finished or chromed steel, and has grip serrations textured on its rear and front to allow easy racking of the slide.

The pistol is fed from two types of proprietary single stack magazines. The first holds 6 rounds and does not change the overall size of the gun. The second holds 7 rounds and has a polymer grip extender fitted to the magazine heel. This magazine is recommended for shooters with large hands or those who find the two finger grip of pocket pistols difficult to use.

The USP10 was designed by Schwerpunkt to replace the venerable NRO M1925 (license produced by Schwerpunkt). The call from Nachmerian military and law enforcement was for a simple and reliable modern pistol chambered in .40SW.
The USP10 is a short recoil operated double action pistol firing from a locked breech. The locking mechanism is based on the M1925 cam lock system. Firing the first shot in double action, the following shots are fired in single action. A slide hold open mechanism allows for quick reloading when ammunition is espanded. The pistol frame is constructed of glass fiber reinforced polymer, with the slide made of Tenifer finished steel.

The pistol has an internal hammer and is designed with ambidextrous ergonomics in mind, as well as an effort to sleek the weapon to allow fast drawing and aiming. To allow for various shooters easy grip of the slide when cocking, it is textured for grip on both the front and rear. The USP features an integral rails system on the front of the pistol, as well as the ability to connect a skeleton stock, and a threaded barrel for attaching a silencer.

The ARI-72 was the result of a Royal Army request in the late 1960s. The Army, impressed by both the AR-15 and the AK-47, wanted a rifle combining the qualities of both. Schwerpunkt (Nachmere Precision Systems at the time) designed a rifle using the Kalashnikov's reliable and forgiving action and the AR-15s 5.56X45mm cartridge and ergonomics.

In the early 2000s, Schwerpunkt produced the ARI-72/6.5, a re-chambered version using the 6.5X39mm round. This was done as a stopgap measure before the introduction of the AFS-6.5 modular bullpup system. As many units within the Royal Army and other branches opted to keep their ARI-72s for various reasons, Schwerpunkt also produced a modernized version with integral rails, polymer furniture and other slight modifications.

All variants of the ARI-72 are reliable, comfortable to shoot and affordable infantry weapons. They can serve as general issue rifles or as carbines depending on the variants.

Design:

As mentioned, the ARI-72 draws heavily on the AK-47 in terms of its action and mechanics. The action is near identical to the Kalashnikov's- the massive bolt carrier has a permanently attached long stroke gas piston moving in a gas chamber above the barrel. The regulator can not be set by the user. The bolt has two massive lugs for locking, and the unlocking rotation also makes a primary extraction motion. Like in the AK, the system is built with wide tolerances and is extremely reliable in both chambering and extracting rounds when the rifle is fouled or in other harsh conditions.

Unlike the AK, the ARI-72 was designed with some ambidextrous features in mind. The cocking handle is curved up and can be easily operated from either side. The AK type selector switch is complemented by smaller, more AR style controls on the left. The magazine well and magazine catch are more similar to the AR-15 as well, as this feature was favored by Royal Army troops at the time. The magazine can be released from either side.

The ARI-72 was originally fitted with wood furniture, steel back and front sights, and either a folding or fixed stock. The carbine model(ARI-72C) had a shorter barrel. The modernized ARI-72/6.5M and its carbine version have polymer furniture, a folding stock and integral rails(allowing the installment of various sights and accessories).

All variants are fed from 20, 30 or 60 round magazines.

Specifications:
Type: Designated Marksman Rifle / Semi-Automatic Sniper Rifle
Caliber: 7.62X51mm NATO
Action: Gas operated, rotating bolt.
Overall length (Stock unfolded): 1,220mm stock extended
Barrel Length: 600mm
Weight, empty: 4.6kg
Accuracy: ~1.25 MOA with dedicated sniping ammunition)
Rate of Fire: 30 rounds per minute (theoretical)
Magazine capacity: 10/20
Price per unit: 3,950 USD
DPR price: 50,000,000 USD

Historical Background

In the mid-1970s, as the Royal Army was adopting the ARI-72 attempts began to use it in the sniper rifle role. Due to the designs limitations these attempts yielded very limited results. Accurized ARI-72 rifles did appear on the private market and in some units as local initiatives, but mostly the sniper rifle role continued to fall to older bolt-action designs and SLR-58 rifles that were kept in service specifically for this role.

As time passed, and the role of snipers and sharpshooters in lower level Nachmerian units grew, a need arose for a semi-automatic rifle to replace both bolt-action and SLR=58 rifles in the company level and below. Specialized sniper formations in battalions started putting new and modern bolt actions rifle to use, but the marksmen in Nachmerian infantry platoons and companies continued relying on old weapons, that were slowly becoming worn and out of date. At the time, with the ARI-72 now firmly entrenched as the primary rifle used by all Nachmerian forces, it seemed extremely logical to develop a DMR version of this design.

The Precision Rifle Indigenous 72, known as "Pintzetta" (Twizzer) is the result of just such a development. The PRI-72 is a semi-automatic designated marksman or sniper rifle, combining high accuracy(~1.25 MOA with dedicated sniping ammunition) with utmost reliability, and great ease of maintenance and training for forces already using the ARI-72 or other systems based on the Kalashnikov.

Design
Like the service rifle it is based on, the PRI-72 is heavily based on the AK-47 in terms of action and mechanics. Nearly identical to the Kalashnikov, the PRI-72 features a massive bolt carrier with a permanently attached gas piston. The long stroke gas system in which this piston operates is located above the barrel. The regulator is static, and cannot be set by the user. Two massive lugs are used for locking, with the rotation of the bolt also used for primary extraction.

The PRI-72 features generally far tighter tolerances and better fitting parts than the ARI-72 and the Kalashnikov, but it still maintains larger tolerances than typical in high accuracy rifles. To make the rifle more accurate and longer ranged several design measures were taken. The rifle is chambered for the 7.62X51mm round, which is far superior to the 5.56X45 round in terms of long range energy and accuracy. While current ARI-72 models are chambered in 6.5 Grendel somewhat negating this advantage, the 7.62X51mm is still far superior in ranges of up to 500 meters, and identical in performance from 500 to 1,000 meters. For this reason, the PRI-72 continues to be chambered in this caliber. It was considered to chamber new production PRI-72 rifles in a more powerful cartridge, but it was felt that the current chambering is a good compromise and larger heavier rounds will only make the rifle bulkier and logistics more stressed. Even with the 7.672X51, parts had to be made longer and heavier to keep the system working and recoil manageable.

In addition to the better preforming chambering, the PRI-72 sports a heavier and longer barrel than its ancestor, and outmost care is taken in the production of the cold hammer forged 600mm chrome lined barrels. A specially designed muzzle break is integrated into the design, to reduce both the visible flash and felt recoil of the rifle.
To allow use of varied optics, the upper part of the rifle has a rail system. The rifle is usually fitted with a 3.5-10X40 scope, or with a 2.5-10X24 night vision scope. Unlike other AK variants, the upper receiver is far more stable and allows reliable use of it as a mounting platform. The PRI-72 also comes standard with flip up rear and forward fixed sights similar to those on the ARI-72.

The forward polymer furniture is textured for grip and features rails for mounting various devices on both the sides and bottom. The pistol grip has a hand stop rest, and the length adjustablke-folding buttstock features both an adjustable padded cheek rest and adjustable padded butt plate. In addition, the buttstock has an adjustable height support leg.

Like the ARI-72 the PRI-72 has some ambidextrous features in mind. The cocking handle is curved up and can be easily operated from either side (this is mitigated by optics unfortunately). The AK type selector switch is complemented by smaller, AR style controls on the left. The magazine well and magazine catch are more similar to the AR-15 as well. The magazine can be released from either side.

The PRI-72 is fed from proprietary magazines holding either 10 or 20 rounds.

Specifications:
Type: Modular Firearm System
Caliber: 6.5X39mm Grendel (also available in 7.7x45mm Nihonese as the Type 7)
Action: Gas operated, rotating bolt.
Overall length: 758mm/710mm/630mm
Barrel Length: 508/460mm/380mm
Weight, empty: 4.1Kg/3.8Kg/3.1Kg
Rate of Fire: 720-910 rounds per minute
Magazine capacity: 20/30/65
Price per unit: 1300 USD with standard barrel, 150 USD for each extra barrel.
DPR price: 180,000,000 USD

Introduction:

The Advanced Firearm System 6.5 or Ra'am is a bullpup firearm of modular design that allows for easy replacement of barrels in different lengths without special tools. In Nachmerian service it is used by infantry units as a general issue rifle, carbine and DMR, using three different lengths of barrels.

Development:

In 2002 the Royal Army started searching for a replacement for the ARI-72 Bar'ak assault rifle and its variants. Used since the early 70's, the ARI-72 was a semi ambidextrous, highly reliable system. Schwerpunkt started designing a bullpup around the 5.56X45mm round, but while research progressed the RNA decided to suspend the request, and await the Navy and Air Force to decide on rather to replace their GI rifles as well.
As a stop gap measure the army looked for a way to increase the performance of their existing rifles, resulting in the conversion of the ARI-72 to 6.5X39 Grendel. The Grendel was selected for its high accuracy and good penetration at ranges up to 600 yards, being a mid-range round between smaller calibers and larger battle rifle calibers. This project took 2 years, but the Army was highly pleased with its new round.

By 2011 however, both the other branches were looking for new designs, as they were still using even older rifles (chambered in 7.62X51mm). Schwerpunkt, having participated in the ARI-72 conversion project, offered a design based on the 6.5 Grendel and work done in the previous decade. All three branches chose to accept the new AFS-6.5, named Ra'am (Thunder).

Design:

The AFS-6.5 has a rather conventional short stroke gas system, and a rotary locking bolt. The gas system and barrel are connected to the carrying handle. The AFS-6.5 is a modular system. Detaching the barrel is done by pulling a lever on the carrying handle and rotating the barrel to the right. The barrel and gas system are than easily pulled away. Attaching the barrel is done similarly. First the barrel is inserted into place. Than it is rotated to the left until it is locked. Barrels exist in lengths varying from 380mm to 460mm, allowing the same weapon to be used as a compact carbine, standard rifle, designated marksman rifle, and even as a light machine gun.

The Ra'am is fully ambidextrous, with controls on both sides. The rifle has two folding cocking handles, allowing the user to choose which side he wishes to use. The trigger group features an ambidextrous fire mode selection lever with safe, semi auto and two round burst modes. The magazine release lever is also located on both sides, for the sake of left-handed shooters. The trigger guard, cocking handle and levers are all large enough to allow a gloved user to easily operate the weapon. The ejection system is rather unique, with cases ejected downwards through a chute located behind the chamber and allowing the weapon to be shot safely from either shoulder. While making the rifle slightly longer than it could have been, the longer bolt stroke needed for downward ejection softens recoil and is well liked by users.

Furniture on the AFS-6.5 is made from mil-spec polymers. The rifle has integral picatinny rails on the carrying handle, as well as the sides and bottom of the grip. The carrying handle is attached to the barrel and so makes and extremely stable mount for optic sights. It also has standard “iron sights” integral to it.

The AFS-6.5 is fed from proprietary metal or polymer magazines in capacities of 20, 30, or 65 rounds.

Barrel Length: 334mm
Weight, empty: 4.92kg
Rate of Fire: ~6 grenades in 4 seconds
Magazine capacity: 6
Price per unit: 1,100 USD | 1,900 with sight.
DPR price: 20,000,000 USD (Sight DPR included)

Introduction

Since the 1970s, Nachmerian forces have operated both under barrel and standalone single shot 40mm grenade launchers. The need for a repeating, hand held 40mm grenade launcher came from both infantry units in combat and police units using tear gas grenades.

Several types of such weapons were considered. Magazine feeding automatic launchers were found too heavy, pump action launchers with under barrel magazines had too small of an ammunition capacity, and drum fed designs required the drum spring be wind up wound up in each reloading. Having failed several times in securing a contract with drum fed designs, Schwerpunkt opted to combine the drum feeding with a pump action for cycling the weapon.

The GPL-40 "Metofef" (Drummer) was adopted by all Nachmerian services. The GPL-40 uses a 6 round drum magazine, which is rotated by power of a pump action mechanism located under the barrel. As such it requires no winding up of the drum spring with each reloading, and still allows a high rate of fire. The Metofef is lite and relatively compact, and can serve either as a support weapon for infantry with various 40mm lethal ammunition, or as less than lethal launcher for law enforcement agencies. The weapon is available with a sight specifically designed for it. The NUO-40PI is a dual illumination sight allowing accurate fire up to 400 meters with 40mm grenade launchers.

Design

The GPL-40 combines the best features of both drum fed and pump action grenade launchers. The large drum allows for 6 rounds to be carried, and the top break frame opens by pushing a lever on the right side of the weapon and pulling the pump handle down. This also engages an extraction mechanism which pushes spent rounds out. Once rounds have been loaded, the operator simply locks the weapon back up and is ready to fire.

As the Nachmerian Army was displeased with the wind-up spring action used in previous Schwerpunkt proposals, the GPL-40 is cycled using a pump action. The vertical front grip is pulled back and forth, and rotates the drum via a set of gear wheels.
The GPL-40 is constructed of light metal alloys and milspec polymers. The barrel and drum themselves are made of steel. The barrel is rifled with 6 grooves and 1/47 twist. A manual trigger safety is located near the trigger, and can be opened and closed from either side, making the weapon as easy to operate for left hand shooters as possible.
The GPL-40 is capable of firing any low-velocity or medium velocity rimmed 40mm grenade. The padded buttstock and forward vertical grip make recoil very manageable. The buttstock itself is similar to AR-15 type telescopic stocks and can be extended or retracted as needed.

The GPL-40 has a top mounted rail system with basic iron sights, which included a rear ring sight and front post. The two side rails are located on the pump mechanism, and are meant for flashlights or other accessories. Both the front and pistol grip are shaped for comfort, and the trigger guard is large enough to allow gloved usage.

NUO-40PI sight

The NUO-40PI was developed especially for use with the GPL-40, but can also be mounted on any other 40mm launcher with a rail system.
The sight uses light culmination at day to project a red dot, and at night a tritium insert to allow sight visibility. The sight can be adjusted for ranges of up to 400m, and makes target acquisition far easier than with previous grenade launchers sights. To aim, the user simply adjusts to the correct range, and "puts" the red dot on the target.
While inferior to electronic fire control systems fitted to some grenade launchers, the NUO-40PI is extremely lite and compact, and relatively cheap.
The GPL-40 can be acquired with or without the NUO-40PL.

LAAB-Mini "Orvani"

Specifications:
Type: Disposable Lightweight Anti-Armor Rocket Launcher
Caliber: 72.5mm
Length, unarmed: 780mm
Length, armed: 1.03m
Weight, empty: 3.95kg
Warhead: HEAT with secondary fragmentation effect.
Range: 300 meters(direct engagement), 800 meters(airburst)
Projectile velocity: 145 Meters per second
Guidance: Inertial (with FCS)
Penetration: 400mm RHA
Cost per unit: 1,250USD per unit
DPR cost: 3,500,000,000 USD.

General:

The LAAB-Mini "Orvani" (Jay) is a lightweight, disposable anti-armor rocket launcher meant to be carried by individual soldiers and provide the infantry with credible ability to engage light armored vehicles and fortifications, as well as enemy infantry behind cover.

Although externally Similar in launcher design to the LAW-72 and RPG-22(the first of which it replaced in Nachmerian service), the LAAB-Mini is in fact a rather advanced system. It not only differs from its predecessor in its ability to be fired from enclosed areas, but also has an electronic fire control system allowing for very high accuracy. It is also capable of airburst detonation against semi-covered enemy infantry.

Design and Operation:

The Orvani is a single shot disposable system. Like the LAW-72 it is a telescopic design, the launcher is made of two concentric tubes, with the rocket housed in the inner one. When closed the unit is water tight.

The outer tube includes a trigger unit on the top, a sighting system on the left hand sight, and a small laser range finder system on the bottom. The inner tube as mentioned contains the rocket and the electric firing/data transfer mechanism. It also contains a shredded plastic countermass which allows the rocket to be fired from within confined spaces. When the rocket is fired the plastic is propelled out of the rear of the weapon and quickly decelerates due to air resistance.

To fire the rocket, the operator releases a pin on the rear cover, and pulls out the inner tube until it is locked open. This arms the rocket and turns on the LRF and sighting system. It also opens the rear cover. The front cover must be removed manually.

The Sighting system consists of a front metal sight and a rear digital red dot sight. When aiming, the operator ranges the target with the laser range finder, giving the fire control system a range reading. The system than adjusts the digital red dot to correct for the distance. To fire at a moving target, the operator holds the range button. Digital motion sensors now allow the system to calculate a new aim-point giving lead to the target.

To fire the rocket in airburst mode, the operator must press a button on the trigger assembly. This, using the electric fire/data mechanism, switches the rocket to airburst mode(using a digital timer in the war head) and causes the sight to give intentionally high fire solutions.
Both modes account for propellant temperature adjustments, with the data collected from the rocket and relayed to the FCS.

The LAAB-Mini allows for 80%-90% accuracy against small vehicle targets at its maximum range.

In normal operations the LAAB-Mini attacks the target directly with its HEAT warhead. This allows penetration of 400mm of armor, or dual brick walls. In airburst mode the rocket explodes about 5 meters above the target raining shrapnel with a lethal radius of 5.5 meters.

Specifications:
Type: Squad level anti-tank weapon
Caliber: 100mm
Length, empty: 760mm
Length, loaded: 1.3-1.6m
Weight, empty: 8.5kg
Weight, loaded: 14.5-15.7kg
Warheads: Tandem HEAT, Thermobaric, HEDP, Airburst Anti-Personnel
Range: 500-750 Meters.
Projectile velocity: 300 Meters per second
Time to maximum range: 1.66/2.5 seconds
Guidance: Inertial (with FCS)
Penetration: See text.
Cost per unit: 7,500USD per launcher, 500-800USD per projectile
DPR cost: 5,000,000,000 USD for launcher and all projectile types.

General:

The Launcher Anti-Tank Anti-Bunker "Egrofan" (Brass Knuckles) is a squad level light rocket launcher. It is meant to give infantry the ability to engage medium armored vehicles, fortifications, and enemy infantry behind cover.
Unlike many similar weapons, the LAAB is equipped with an advanced fire control system that allows for extreme accuracy against distant and moving targets.

Design:

The LAAB Launcher itself is a 100mm caliber weapon with a trigger unit, combined fire-control and sighting system, and bipod mount.
The trigger assembly resembles that of the ARI-72 rifle, but is in fact an electro-mechanical trigger. The trigger guard is wide enough to allow use with gloves, and a fore grip allows for stable aiming of the weapon. A rifle style safety switch is installed above the pistol grip. The launch tube is made of highly resistant mil-spec polymers, and has a barrel life of 500 rounds.

The fire control and sighting system includes an electro-optic unit with a day and night channel. The day channel allows for X1.5 or X3 magnification using high quality lenses. The night channel is based Thermal Imaging Infra-Red technology, with a range of detection of 1,500 meters for vehicles. It allows for X1,X2 and X4 magnification. Both channels are digitally displayed in an adjustable eye-piece, with the user able to select the by a press of a single button.

In addition to the highly advanced optics, the unit includes a laser range finder, digital compass, digital motion sensing accelerometers, and a micro-processor. In addition to a propellant temperature sensor found in the projectile canister, these components allow the LAAB to calculate an accurate fire solution, and the re-position the crosshairs and allow a hit chance of 90% at short ranges(up to 300 meters) and 70% at long ranges(up to maximum range).

The projectiles for the LAAB are pre-packed in disposable tubes which are loaded into the weapon from the rear, locking into position by rotation. Each tube consists of the projectile itself, a temperature sensor for the propellant, and a soft launch counter-weight system. The counter mass consists of shredded plastic which is projected out of the rear of the weapon when it is fired. This plastic is rapidly slowed by air resistance allowing the weapon to be fired safely within an enclosed space. In addition, the positioning of the counter mass takes into consideration the center of gravity of the weapon to ensure good balance for greater accuracy.

Ammunition types:

Tandem-HEAT- This projectile has a small precursor charge and primary charge capable of penetrating 800mm of RHA after reactive armor. The Tandem HEAT projectile has a range of 750 meters. Weight: 7.3Kg. Price: 650USD

Thermo-Baric- This projectile is used against internal spaces of buildings. It can affect a 300 cubic meters space and has a range of 500 meters. Weight: 5.5Kg. Price: 500USD

HEDP: Effective against bunkers, masonry and concrete walls and light armor. Initiated by a crush switch in its nose the HEDP rocket is able to distinguish between hard and soft targets resulting in greater penetration into soft targets for increased damage potential. The HEDP round is capable of penetrating 20 centimeters (7.9 in) of concrete. The HEDP round has a range of 750 meters. Weight: 6.9Kg. Price: 650USD.

Airburst Anti-Personnel: Used to attack infantry behind cover, the APP round explodes above the enemy using a timing fuse. The APP projects tungsten shrapnel over a radius of 20 meters. The APP round has a range of 750 meters. Weight: 6.5Kg. Price: 800USD.

Operation:

When a target is chosen, the user loads a projectile to the rear of the launch tube. Using a small microchip on each projectile tube, the FCS automatically identifies the projector type. The user disengages the trigger safety. The user aims at the target via the digital sight, and presses the range finder button. When firing at a moving target the user keeps the range button pushed and tracks the targets motion. This engages digital accelerometers which allow the FCS to calculate the speed and vector of the target. The FCS then adjusts the aim point. The crosshairs appear on target but the weapon is actually aimed with adjustment for angle and target movement. Now the shooter fires the weapon. The rocket is propelled through the launch tube and towards the target at 300 meters per second, and at the same time the counter mass of shredded plastic is ejected out the rear dispersing a few feet from the launcher.

The Model 1914 Cavalry Saber was the last operational Sword issued by the Royal Army. Although withdrawn from standard operational use in the early 30s, it has become one of several sword patterns authorized as ceremonial weapons in the Nachmerian armed forces. It is especially popular with tank and mechanized infantry officers who see themselves as the descendants of horse riding cavalry. Many officers choose to carry the sabre with them to combat, and the Model 1914 is often seen rigged near the commander hatches of Nachmerian AFVs. The Model 1914 is also the sword worn by HRM David Kashat during ceremonies.

The Model 1914 saber features a large, basket-shaped hilt mounting a straight, double-edged, thrusting blade designed for use by heavy cavalry. It was designed in accordance with contemporary Nachmerian cavalry tactics emphasizing the the use of the point over the edge. The sharpened back edge makes it much easier to withdraw from a body than would be the case if the blade were single edged. In the charge with the point, all the energy of the horse and weight of the horse and rider is focused on one sharp point of impact.

In the late 1990s Schwerpunkt acquired the rights of production for the sword (which was one of the last government manufactured items in Nachmere). It now offers the Model 1914 in two configurations. The standard model is nearly identical to the original Model 1914, although slightly lighter. The second is a highly decorative ceremonial version, with gilt hilt and fittings and engraved ivory grips. The scabbard is made of canvas and wood.

Length: 30.5cm
Blade Length: 17.5cm
Blade Width: 3.1cm.
Blade Thickness: 4.85mm
Weight: 370 grams.
Price: 90 USD
DPR: 9,000,000 USD

Background

From the 1960s to the early 2010s, Royal Army, Royal Marines, and Royal Navy units were issued the Mk.8 Combat Knife (essentially a copy of the Ka-Bar). While troops were fond of the Mk.8, as stocks of the knives depleted, the three services set out to investigate the possibility of issuing a new design. As part of the inquiry, polls were made among combat troops to find out what they used their knives for, and what improvements they would seek over the current model.

Unsurprisingly, out of 10,000 troops polled, less than a dozen have ever used their knife as a hand-to-hand weapon. Most have only used their knife in routine camp chores. The most prominent in-combat use of knives was cutting various materials (webbing, chords). Several cases of pilots have to use the knife to skin animals in post ejection survival situations were also recorded.
Troops were quite pleased with the size of the Mk.8, and with its durability. They requested some serrations to be added, to make cutting ropes and cords easier. They also asked for an all-around more robust blade and knife, to ease various small chores often conducted with the knife (such as chopping, opening tin and plastic containers, etc.).

The results of the inquiry lead the three services to ask for a new design, a general purpose field knife. This was to be focused less on fighting and more on day-to-day routine work. Schwerpunkt responded with the Mk.10. It has since then been issued to most Nachmerian units, with the exception of some special forces units which preferred to keep their Mk.8 or carry civilian blades of various types.

Design

The Mk.10 is a large knife, with a somewhat unusual blade design.

The blade is made of AUS-8, chosen for its combination of resistance to corrosion, toughness, decent edge retention and ease of field sharpening. The steel was heat treated and hardened to 58 HRC. The blade has a partially serrated, saber grinded edge which curves up from roughly it's middle towards the point.

This "belly" makes the knife very competent at slicing, and especially at gentle precise slicing need for food preparation in the field. To further help in these tasks and allow comfort for various grip position, the blade has a finger groove under the ricasso, as well as grip serrations on the rear spine. The upper tip is sharply angled and edged, to assist penetration both in stabbing during hand to hand combat, and in routine use of the knife(opening packages for instance). The entire blade, aside from the edges, is parkerized in order to both reduce reflectivity and resist corrosion.

The Mk.10 is a full tang knife, with the handle made of G10 . G10 was chosen as a combination of high durability, grip, low weight and low production cost. The tang is perforated to reduce weight, and the handle itself has 3 perforations for the pins, as well as a 4th acting as a lanyard hole. A Steel guard is featured to protect the user's hand, and the tang protrudes slightly rearwards from the handle. This pommel/butt makes a useful glass breaker.

The Mk.10 comes with a plastic and polyester sheath, which has a belt loop as well as MOLLE compatible rigging on both front and back. The sheath securely holds the knife, allowing it to be unsheathed only upwards by the operator.

Nachmerian Field Rations

Field Rations for the various Nachmerian armed forces are made to specifications detailed by the medical and logistic authorities of these forces. The rations are made by several companies, one of which is a branch of Schwerpunkt called MGL(Military Gastronomy Logistics). Schwerpunkt is also the major exporter of rations to both civilian and military customers abroad.

Rations are used in conditions that do not allow the use of permanent kitchens. Until the 1990s the NAF used only canned rations, but a process to improve the quality and taste as well as optimize the cost and logistic effort of ration issuing has changed this considerably over the last 2 decades. An interesting aspect of Nachmerian rations is the complete lack of pork products and other un-Kosher meats in them. All items in the rations are Kosher and Halal, although rations do contain separately packed dairy and meat products. There are currently three types of packed rations in Nachmerian use, and available for foreign customers:

R-Rations

Routine Rations (In Hebrew Manot Shigra, Manot Shin, or Revi'iot) are the direct descendants of the traditional Nachmerian canned rations. The R-ration is issued during routine operations away from permanent bases. They are used both to supply troops directly, and also sometimes to supply mobile field kitchens. Due to this dual purpose, all ingredients in the rations can be eaten out of the box, or used as materials for field kitchen cooks.
The main advantage of these rations is their cost. They are based on widely available canned civilian goods, and their packaging is mostly tin can based. When possible field kitchens rations are often enhanced with supplies of bread, fresh fruit and vegetables, and more.

R-Rations are packed in cardboard boxes. There are four menus, with varying canned goods, but with a standard content of accessories and crackers. Each box contains an average 12,800 kilocalories worth of food, including meats, fish, vegetables, sweets and snacks. The box also contains solid fuel folding stoves, on which food can be heated.

R-Rations are better used 5 years past their production date, although field experience has shown most contents are safe to eat even ten years after packaging.

R-Ration Menu

Price per R-Ration: 17 USD/NSD
DPR: 34,000,000 USD/NSD.

O-Rations

Operational Rations (In Hebrew Manot Krav, Manot Kuf, or Bodedot) are single man, 24 hour rations. They are meant for use during combat, or when joint/any food preparation is impossible. Like the R-Rations, these are based mostly on canned food. Unlike the R-Ration, the canned food includes actual dishes rather than ingredients.
Each O-Ration is made of a cardboard box wrapped in a watertight plastic bag. Inside the main box are 3 smaller bags. One bag contains breakfast and snacks, the second a main course for lunch, and the third a main course for dinner. In addition, each O-Ration contains a variety of beverage packs and accessories.

Solid fuel folding mini-stove, as used in O-Rations:
Image

As they are issued in combat, a great deal of effort has been made to make the O-Rations better, and assist in maintaining moral. Each O-Ration contains a mini pack of three cigarettes, as smoking is very common among Nachmerian troops, and cigarettes are often hard to purchase during operations. To diversify the diet and flavors, seven menus are available. Two of the menus include an alcohol ration, which consists of a small 40ml bottle of Arak. These rations supply 3,200 calories on average, enough for one soldier during 24 hours of operations.

O-Rations are better used 3 years past their production date, although field experience has shown most contents are safe to eat even ten years after packaging.

Price per R-Ration: 7 USD/NSD
DPR: 35,000,000 USD/NSD

A-Rations

Because both O and R rations are quite bulky, they are not always suitable for some operations. Experience showed that troops often take only part of their O-Ration when sent on short, high intensity operations such as foot patrols and ambushes. This caused quite a bit of waste in packaging and accessories thrown away by troops.
To combat this waste, and provide troops with rations fitting short operations, the Ambush Ration(In Hebrew Manot Maaarvim, Manot Mem, or Myuchadot) was specified. They are essentially the main course and some parts of the O-Ration, in a smaller, lighter package. The A-Rations have slightly more snacks to allow eating on the move, or with one hand if needed.

Each ration weighs about a third of the average O-Ration, and has 1,100 calories, or enough for 8-12 hours of operations.

A-Rations are better used 3 years past their production date, although field experience has shown most contents are safe to eat even ten years after packaging.

Price per A-Ration: 4 USD/NSD
DPR: 38,000,000 USD/NSD
