The Stolen God

Ever since the use of language was developed among humans, tales of supernatural being and creatures have been told and believed by their listeners as people struggled to grasp the complexity of the world they lived in. Most notable out of all these tales were those of the Ancient Greeks and the Romans who later adapted their stories to fit their own lifestyle. For hundreds of years, children would grow up hearing about the bravery of Heracles, the struggles of Romulus and Remus, and how the various gods managed every aspect of their lives from the weather to who they fell in love with. However, as civilizations grew in technology and their understanding of their world, the need to rely on their made-up gods, creatures, and heroes was soon thrown aside, and people began to see the world as one set by the rules of science and man.

But what if those tales of old weren't made up? What if, in fact, it was only due to their lack of faith in the olden tales that most people were made blind to what was really happening in the world around them?

Well, it's your lucky day, or perhaps unlucky, as this is exactly the case. The Gods still exist, except not as they once did. While they still retain their powers of the world, it is nowhere near where it once was. Thus, in order to accomplish their wills in the mortal realm, they rely on their children to carry the burden just like the heroes of old. These children, half human, half god, possess talents and abilities far greater than any regular mortal could obtain. These powers do not come without consequences, as monsters and other ancient evil powers seek to strike back at the Gods by going after these demigods. Even with their enhanced abilities, these demigods wouldn't stand a chance on their own against these forces of evil.

Thankfully, these demigods are not alone. For those with parents coming from the Greek side of things, Camp Half-Blood is where they can find not only a place safe from attack but a place where they can be trained to fight back. They also get to meet others who share the same fate and forge strong relationships with them. For the Romans, they have Camp Jupiter, where things are more or less the same as things in Camp Half-Blood, except that things like honor, tradition, and courage are required as they serve in the New Roman Army

For hundreds of years, these two camps remained bitter rivals of each other, often clashing with one another as although they shared similarities, they couldn't have been any more different from each other. It wasn't until a group of seven demigods from both camps came together to stop Gaea from bringing about the end of the world. That was ten years ago, and ever since then the two camps have thrown aside their old rivalries and agreed to help one another out in times of crisis.

Since the fall of Gaea, things have gotten relatively peaceful for both camps, as they both try and recover from the events of a decade ago. However, this peace will not last long, as new foes seek to destroy not only the gods but their children as well. Olympus has once again gone quiet, and those left in the mortal realm are beginning to tense up as the rate in which monsters have been appearing has begun to increase. Only the foolish continue to act like nothing is wrong, while the wise begin to prepare for the inevitable.

It's time, Demigod. How will you become a hero?


Introduction


Hello, and welcome to The Stolen God, a Character RP based on the popular book series Percy Jackson and The Olympians and Heroes of Olympus written by Rick Riordan. This RP is a collaborative work of many individuals who are all fans of the series that are wanting to expand the series a bit on our own terms. Players will have the chance to become a member of one of the two camps, Camp Half-Blood or Camp Jupiter. With the exception of the Big Three (Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon/Jupiter, Pluto, and Neptune), you have the choice of being the child of any god you choose and inherit their abilities. The existing source material is the set background lore of the series, so while anyone can join, it would be highly recommended to familiarize yourself with the series if you aren't already.

Players will have a chance to embark on a quest that, in Riordan fashion, will either save or destroy the Gods and the world around them. It will be up to you to decide how exactly you do this, which is why this RP is recommended for those willing to stay committed. While we understand that the real world takes precedence over this, going inactive when your character will be a major player the RP will hurt the RP as a whole. So while this is open to anyone who applies with an appropriate application, we suggest that you seriously want to involve yourself in this, especially if you want to be a key role in the RP.

Rules


1. OP and CO-OP word is law
2. No Godmodding, Metagaming, and other frowned upon practices in your writing
3. No one-liners, try to at least get a paragraph in
4. Keep things PG-13, specifically in the style of how Riordan wrote his novels
5. Disputes between characters are fine (If not encouraged) in the IC, but keep the OOC and Discord somewhat civil
6. Major roles such as Centurions, Cabin Leaders, etc are going to be restricted to those who show that they will remain both active and not abuse their power outside of plot purposes
7. Having one of The Big Three (Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades/ Jupiter, Neptune, and Pluto) as your character's godly parent will be highly restricted, and intensely restricted to those we trust to handle it
8. The level of power your character possesses in his abilities should be at least somewhat evened out with a weakness that can be exploited
9. The Percy Jackson and the Olympians and The Heroes of Olympus are the canon for the RP, and the other series are not to be included, i;e, only Roman and Greek gods
10. You have 48 hours to reply to a post directly addressing your character without prior heads up, if you don't your character will be available for control to others
11. If you put your character in a situation where their death is the only option, don't come bitching to me or others when they die

Position: 3rd Cohort Centurion
Abilities: Jakkob is a cunning and slippery kid, who's weaseled his way out of plenty of situations. He's a master performer, picking up any task rapidly. And he can sneak and steal from almost anyone.
Weaknesses: Jakkob can never get past being good at something. He's doesn't excel at anything, as a Jack of all trades, master of none.
Jakkob also has family issues with his mom and dad he doesn't like to talk about.
Equipment: Jakkob has a beatiful set of bow and arrows, sword, shield, and spear. He stole them, along with his armor, from Autolycus, the king of theives. While in his house for a quest, Jakkob bagged the items and left before being noticed. His only regret is not bagging more. He only ever carries the spear and shield however. But his favorite items he always uses are his winged sandles and razor sharp playing cards. The cards are magic of course, but undetectably so. They bend to Jakkob's will, letting him see the cards in hands and the deck.
Personality: Jakkob is going for the "Most Likely to be Disembodied by Austin Award" for the 9th year now. He's a disorganized and riot of a centurion, but he get's the job done. Jakkob is extremely unorthodox down even to how he organizes his troops in battle, or in this case doesn't.
Biography: Jakkob arrived at Camp when he was 8. His mother abandoning him in San Francisco, Jakkob went to the wolf house. After a few months of training, he was sent on the journey to camp Jupiter. Luckily for him, he cam across Autolycus. The 2 had much in common, and Jakkob left well provisioned. After he left, Autolucus realized Jakkob had stolen from him, but let the young theif off the hook that time. Jakkob was attacked brutally along the rest of the way to camp, when he did finally arrive, he was fighting off 3 hellhounds and a griffon. He killed them on his own before crossing the river. After that, Jakkob rose rapidly through the ranks taking command of the 3rd Cohort at the age of 13. With nowhere to go, Jakkob stayed at Camp yearround. He's since moved into the cabin, sprucing it up to be less like the others. Now 3rd Cohort is the wild often uncontrollable cohort. But they do get results.

Abilities:
  • Son of Neptune: As the son of Neptune, the god of Earthquakes and the Seas, Austin possesses a handful of abilities that come with being the child of one of The Big Three. He has the ability to create minor earthquakes and open fissures in the ground, albeit at the expense of a tremendous amount of physical and mental exertion. It is impossible for him to drown in water, and can communicate with both the creatures of the sea as well as equines. Due to this ability to communicate, he's become extremely proficient in horseriding and thus is extremely deadly when mounted on a horse.
Weaknesses:
  • ADHD - Like many children of the gods, Austin suffers from ADHD. While he normally is able to manage it, he has a nasty habit of not paying attention to things that don't interest him and often forgets the names of people and places he's not familiar with. Also, if there are too many things to think about at once, he can sometimes get overwhelmed and won't be able to think clearly until he blocks out the excess stimuli.
  • Fear of heights- Austin has a near-crippling fear of heights, which is due to both his heritage and a traumatizing experience he had as a young child, where he was stuck at the highest position of a Ferris Wheel for several hours by himself. Even as an 18-year old, he's still never gotten over it. Tops of mountains, ravines, and especially plane rides are enough to send him into a near panic attack.
  • Quick Temper- While Austin is normally a fair and honest guy, he's quick to anger when people go against the traditional ways of the Legion as well as those who show cowardice in battles. With the help of some counseling, he's been able to manage it for the most part, but if he gets pushed too far...well...Pray to the Gods that the nearby buildings are built to withstand earthquakes.
Equipment:
  • Normal Equipment- An Imperial Gold gladius, an Imperial Gold parma shield, a Camp Jupiter T-shirt, jeans, and running shoes
  • Prepared for Battle- An Imperial Gold gladius, an Imperial Gold parma shield, Legionary plate armor, legionary helmet, Imperial Gold-tipped short spear, and a horse
Personality: Due to his position in the Legion, Austin acts as a tough, disciplined warrior in front of those under his command, and can be seen as harsh and critical to many. However, to his close friends, Austin is a very caring and accepting person, who has a deep sense of loyalty for those under his command. He's often stressed out due to his position as Praetor as he often worries about people getting hurt or killed due to his commands, but he keeps this hidden away from everyone, even his close friends. His soft spot is his love for hockey, as he is a prominent Boston Bruins fan.
Biography: Austin was born in Kennebunkport, Maine to Kaitlyn Merinen, a brilliant marine biologist that traveled all across the eastern coast as she studied methods to better protect endangered species in the region. His father was unknown to Austin, but Kaitlyn didn't let this bother Austin nor did it seem to bother her. She kept both her and her son busy by bringing him along on her research expeditions, home-schooling Austin along the way. Austin was happy, as he had a strong appreciation with the sea and dreamed of following in his mother's footsteps.

However, Austin's world came to a crashing halt as on his tenth birthday his mother finally told him the identity of his father. Much to his surprise, it was none other than the Roman god of the seas, Neptune. If this wasn't any more unbelievable for him, his mother tearfully told him that he'd soon have to leave for California, where he would have to learn how to become a soldier of New Rome. At first, Austin refused to believe what his mother had said, but that changed when he and his mother were attacked while on one of her expeditions by Typhon, a hundred-headed fire breathing monster. Austin's mother did her best to try to escape in their boat, but the monster sent one of his limbs crashing down onto to back of the boat, causing the boat to flip and for Austin and his mother to be launched into the ocean.

By the time Austin swam up to the surface, both the monster and his mother were gone. Not knowing what else to do, the ten-year-old floated on his back. After some time, Austin suddenly felt solid ground beneath him, and when he looked back, he saw that he had indeed washed up on shore, although what he saw was not the familiar New England coast he'd grown up on. As he made his way up the shore, a wolf suddenly appeared from the treeline ahead. Curious, Austin followed it until he found himself in the burnt out remains of what had been a house. Austin's confusion soon turned to fear, as a massive wolf, at least twice the size as the one he had followed, appeared. Thinking that the creature was going to attack him, Austin reached for the nearest item, which happened to be a large brick, and prepared to defend himself.

However, this was not needed, as the wolf suddenly spoke to Austin, her silver eyes seeming to stare directly into his soul. Her name was Lupa, and she had judged Austin as worthy enough to become a soldier of New Rome. At first, Austin was cautious, thinking that the massive wolf was trying to trick him, but after Lupa mentioned that his mother was still alive, he accepted her decision, albeit so that he could find out what happened to his mother.

For several months, Austin was trained by Lupa to become a master warrior. She taught him how to pinpoint his target's weaknesses, how to run swiftly yet silently, and how to observe details in his environment that would suit his needs. One thing Lupa never did, however, was tell Austin where his mother was or what had happened to her. The only thing he was told was that his journey would be difficult and filled with tragedy if he searched for her.

After all of this, Austin finally was sent to find a place known as Camp Jupiter by Lupa, who merely told him that it was his job to survive from that point on. Austin made his way to where Lupa had guided him, and soon found himself walking through a tunnel and making his way to a river. After his crossing, he found himself facing the end of a sword as a kid not too much older than he demanded to know who he was. Austin stammered out that he had been directed there by Lupa, and this seemed to do the trick, as he was led to the camp.

He was about to be questioned by what appeared to be the leaders of the camp, when suddenly a man dressed in blue robes appeared in front of them. This turned out to be none other than Neptune, the Roman god of Seas. He pointed at Austin, a look of sternness yet also pride on his face, and declared that he was the father of the young child. After that, he disappeared, leaving everyone stunned at the sight. The last child of Neptune that had arrived in the camp had been the infamous Percy Jackson, who turned out to not even be Roman, instead he was one of the Greeks.

From there on, Austin was treated carefully, as the people of Camp Jupiter were reluctant about having another child of Neptune in their ranks. However, being the son of one of the three major gods, they had no choice but to put him in the First Cohort. Much to the surprise of his elders, the young child seemed to be a natural at fighting. He especially was proficient in mounted combat, and he soon began to rise in the ranks to become the centurion of the First Cohort at the age of 17.

Things were relatively good for him, until one day when Austin and six other demigods found themselves facing a drakon. The ancient creature proved to be too much for the group of demigods to handle, as two of Austin's comrades, one of which was one of the current Praetors, were killed and the rest incapacitated. Austin was barely able to remain standing, yet he was determined to not allow the monster to take the lives of his comrades. Rage filled his heart, and he let out a massive roar as he prepared to make his last stand against the monster. However, he wouldn't have to, as the earth bellow the beast suddenly split in half, causing the drakon to plummet down into the earth's depths before the fissure closed. Austin didn't realize that this was his doing until he suddenly lost the remaining strength in his body, passing out cold.

He'd wake up to see himself being studied intensely by the remaining Praetor as well as the other Cohorts' centurions. They asked him a series of questions about what he had done, and all he could say was that he didn't know what he had done, but it had saved the rest of the group from what would have surely been their deaths. After much deliberation, Austin was surprised to find himself raised to the position of Praetor as a replacement for the one who had died.

One year later, and Austin has transformed what was already the tough-as-nails Legion into an even more formidable force, albeit with harsh and borderline brutal methods. Some in the camp saw him as nothing but a merciless dictator, while others saw him as the new Gaius Marius. Regardless of what they though, Austin was determined to ensure that his legionaires were prepared for whatever the world threw at them.

Age: 14
Appearance: Standing at only 5' 8'', Jax isn't exactly tall. He has black hair, and it always seems to be disheveled in some way. He has a cheerful demeanor, causing him to smile often, but he does know how to be serious at times. He is Caucasian. Figured I should add that bit in. More often than not he is seen clothed in a plain red t-shirt and jeans. His hands are usually fiddling with something, as he is unable to stand still for very long.

Years at Camp: Two Years
Godly Parent: Vulcan
Position: Legionnaire
Abilities:He has the ability to sense certain mechanisms through walls and floors. Imperial Gold and Celestial Bronze is more noticeable, but he can still sense ordinary mechanisms as well.

He has an eye for how things work, he can look at something, and by feel and touch, he can somewhat realize how the mechanism works.

And, like all children of Vulcan, he is good with his hands, with assembling mechanisms, and with smithing.
Weaknesses: ADHD, Severe ADHD, he won't stay still for long. He has minor dyslexia, and cannot fight very well
Equipment: He carries A gladius, instead of the spatha, as his weapon, given to him when he joined the legion. He also has a dagger with him, also when he joined the legion. Both are Imperial Gold, and both cannot harm mortals, on monsters. Not that he actually uses them alot, prefers working on mechanical solutions.
He carries with him a notebook as well, that does exactly what notebooks do. You write stuff down, and you can read it later. Surprising, I know.
With him he carries a pen. This isn't just a regular pen, but it erases with the magic of friction ink! Wow! Coolio! It is also held in an Imperial Gold casing, so he could theoretically kill a monster with his pen.
Personality: He's disciplined, well, at least enough to pay respect and follow orders.He does seem outgoing at times, but he does know how to be serious when needed. He does try to help others, although he doesn't necessarily always succeed. As for socially, he does talk to many people, but it takes something for him to truly trust anybody else.
Biography: Jax grew up in foster care, jumping from place to place. His mother, well, she was...er...she didn't want him, and his father was indisposed most of his life. Of course, he was a roman god, so they didn't exactly pop in to say hello. Jax always ended up getting in trouble, his hyperactiveness always messing with him, and his need to always do something. Anyway, he learned to just keep his head down when he can, and to just roll with it. This caused him to develop some social issues, not exactly trusting anybody, at least, not completely. This is how the first decade of his life went, bouncing from foster home to foster home, getting kicked out of schools, avoiding trouble when he could, always avoiding fights, but managing to get in trouble anyway.

Anyway, when he was about 11, he eventually wound up with Lupa. Through mishaps and mistakes, he manage to arrive at the Wolf House in California. He was judged by Lupa, and started to train with her. It took some time, but he eventually passed Lupa's training, and was sent forth to Camp Jupiter. He arrived, a little scratched, but nonetheless alive. It was only a few scrapes, nothing to noteworthy. He entered the Camp. At this time, he was 12 years of age. He joined the legion, and became a part of the first cohort. He learned the rules, followed the directions, with a loose definition of rule following, and managed to survive, and well, succeed in the legion. On his 13th birthday, his godly parent was shown, or rather a symbol. He woke up in the morning, with a blacksmiths hammer located within the room, the symbol of Vulcan. It was there that the symbol of his parent was revealed. He made it off of probatio, and into legionnaire. And thus is where we find him now.

Appearance: Standing at a lean 6'4, RJ is taller than most. RJ's hair is jet black and curly when he lets it grow out, but due to the upkeep that comes with his "godly" hair, he decides to keep it cut low. RJ has brown skin with brown eyes.

Godly Parent: Hecate
Position: Camper (maybe Cabin Leader when I show my worth?)
Abilities:
  • As a child of Hecate, RJ is one of the few in Camp Halfblood that can cast spells by speaking Ancient Greek. RJ in particular has shown an affinity for creating fire as well as using the Mist to create illusions, summon his sword, and create Mistforms while also avoiding the tracking abilities of monsters when beyond the borders of Camp Halfblood.

Weaknesses:
    Hubris- The one ultimate fatal flaw RJ has is his pride, while being likable among most in the camp for his humor and non-malicious pranks deep down he believes he can do anything better than anyone. Due to his pride it is not easy for him to trust people, especially those whom he sizes up to be comparable to him in skill.

  • Excessive Loyalty- While RJ does have trust issues, once he does trust you, he will be immensely loyal to you almost to the point where it becomes a liability on a quest. Early on during his days at Camp Halfblood he became known for taking the fall whenever any of his cabin mates got into trouble with camp leadership. He views it as a responsibility, he is willing to die for those he views as his family.

Equipment: In terms of armor, RJ uses standard issue Camp Halfblood gear. But when it comes to his sword he uses the Mist to summon a long sword made of Stygian Iron. The pommel is in the shape of Hecate's Torches while the hilt and the actual blade are jet black. Runes are etched along the edge of the blade that appear to give the holder increased bravery and endurance. RJ was gifted this sword by his mother on his sixteenth birthday, it is to him the proudest moment of his life. The sword is extremely useful for RJ as while he is adept at swordplay he is no master, he relies more heavily on his skill with magic and the Mist during combat.
Personality: RJ is the complete opposite of his mother and is more like his father when it comes to dealing with others. He is outgoing with his friends and he does not necessarily crave solitude as much as his mother does. If he is not among his own at the Hecate Cabin the next place he will most likely be is with the children of Hades, as their parents share a close friendship. His laugh is infectious even to those who might be the butt of the joke and RJ has never really demonstrated malicious intent towards anyone, especially those at Camp Halfblood because he realizes that at the end of the day everyone is on the same team. RJ is known for being bookish at times, and he is also known for competing in plenty of athletic events at other times. When asked about the inconsistency the only answer he can muster is that it all depends on how he's feeling at that particular moment in time. His mother being one who loves solitude, and RJ being one who craves the attention of those he cares for, he is extremely frustrated with Hectate at times and this seeps over into the rest of his life when it comes to his relationships with others, including friends and superiors. His unpredictability is what has kept him from being a cabin leader but he has demonstrated himself a capable strategist when focused.
Biography: RJ was raised in Atlanta, Georgia by his father Richard Buchanan. From a young age he was mischievous and was constantly in and out of the principals office for various minor pranks he would pull on his friends as well as the faculty. Couple this with the fact that he had dyslexia and it is no wonder that he was soon sent to alternative school where he constantly had low marks and continued to pull various pranks, including one where the principal of the school got stuck in a toilet for 2 hours while janitors at the school figured out a way to get him out.

It was not long after him entering middle school that things began to get weird. One day while he was at school a Chimera disguised as a substitute teacher burned down the entire school attempting to kill RJ. The school board, obviously not knowing this subsequently expelled RJ from the school district due to his reputation for pranks, at this point the burning down of the school was viewed as a prank he took too far. It was only his age that helped him escape an arson charge. It was at that point that RJ's father realized he could no longer keep him safe and made the proper arrangements for him to be taken to Camp Halfblood. Initially RJ thought that he was headed to summer camp as he still had no idea of the true identity of his mother, his father, a god-fearing Baptist, was not even completely sure himself.

Upon arriving at Camp Halfblood, RJ had a hard time initially making friends due to his pride which spawned naive arrogance. This arrogance was naive in the fact that RJ thought he knew everything, but in reality he couldn't even comprehend all of the things he did not know. After a while however, he has been able to demonstrate some control over his pride while also being humbled, he was among the few campers that did not know the identity of their godly parent. On his thirteenth birthday it was revealed to him when two torches burned brightly over his head during the camp dinner. While overjoyed, he was frustrated with his mother and believed that the only reason it took so long for her to claim him is that she was ashamed.

He still does his fair share of minor pranks, like turning his opponents swords to rubber during sparring or intentionally bothering the nymphs of the forest.

Dream infiltration: when he sees or knows someone is dreaming, he can touch them and mess around with their dreams from there or he could fall asleep and astral project into their minds and mess with their dreams like that. He is generally undetected in people's dreams but the more paranoid or powerful a person is the harder it is to stay undetected. For example, he could easily infiltrate a normal person's dreams, but infiltrating Gaia's? No way.
Dream manipulation: When inside someone's dream he can control the plot of the dream. He could turn it into a nightmare, or a dream about a unicorn. The more powerful the person, the harder to manipulate. Also, if he is discovered or the person realises he is there, he may only remain in their dream if they let him.
Stealth: Nathanial's small frame might put him at a disadvantage in a head on fight, but it helps him a lot in matters of stealth. Acknowledging he'll never be good at one on one fighting, Nathanial signed up for stealth classes and so became fairly competent at it.

Weaknesses: Physically very weak and fragile. Not very skilled in weapons apart from stealth weapons, e.g daggers. Introverted, doesn't make friends easily.

Equipment: A pair of needle-like celestial bronze daggers and a necklace in the shape of a pillow. The necklace is his only gift from his father and has no discernible powers.

Personality: Nathanial would never be mean to someone, but wouldn't go out of his way to be nice to someone. He has a few friends, mainly from the Morpheus and Hypno cabins. He keeps to himself mostly, sleeping a lot and staying inside.

Biography: He was from Seattle orgininally, and lived there with his mum before the monsters started coming. He went to a small school and was happy there with his small friendship circle. But then the monsters came. In his first encounter, a hellhound attacked a school bus he was on. Luckily, no one died, but after that the attacks kept coming. Eventually, believing he was cursed and not wanting to hurt his mum, he ran away. He made it to Michigan where he was found by a satyr and brought to camp.

Godly Parent: Child of Bacchus, his mother was a Child of Cupid.

Abilities: Alcohol Manipulation and Creation: He can create alcohol, both alcoholic and non alcoholic. He can make several types, they all take time and effort to create. He can make three that have effects, one produces a sense of madness if drunk, the second reinforces attraction in the person who drunk it, the Third can purify the body, in a sense, by making it forcefully purge the negative effects out, also woks as a hangover cure. He himself cant get hang overs or get drunk, additionally he gets a bit stronger when he drinks.

Life of the party: As soon as he arrives at any party like event it becomes better. This does not happen instantly, but the drinks will start tasting better, and if it is an actual party, the music becomes louder and the like. Obviously his presence can only do so much, if he stays at the party for too long, uh well things named after his father may or may not develop. this is a passive ability, he has little top no control over it. Additionally, the more he drinks and the pepole around him drink, the better he looks, really, a union of the powers of the god of love and WIne and parties is a strange thing.

Plant manipulation: He can encourage plants to grow and develop, even more so with plants that can be used to make alcohol and Vines. He can also manipulate Grapevines and use them to bind and confine people.

Madness inducement: Due to his closeness to cupid His madness manipulation works a bit differently. He can cause a person to be mad for or obsessive over something, much like his affection manipulation. This requires touch and lasts only until the person or Erik falls unconscious.

Affection manipulation: He can influence the affections of others, he cant make them love something they wouldn't normally. He also has to have something to work with, meaning the person he targets must have some affection towards what he makes them like. This also allows him to see/sense the affection/attraction of others.
Weaknesses: He must concentrate to do anything substantial with his plant manipulation. His abilities aside from his passive ones require him to be constantly ingesting alcohol, the amount can be negligible, but it has to happen, if it doesn't, certain side effects can manifest themselves.
Equipment: HE has two enchanted items, from his father, One is a goblet, that has many forms, the other ss a weapon that has the shape of a staff with grape vines twining up it the other form is a sword which has a straight blade and grape vines forming a hilt. Other than that, jsut hsa regular armor and such.
Personality: He likes partying, and making friends. Just don't anger him, ever. He can be cheesy at times but when the time calls for it he is serious. Additionally, despite being a veritable party animal, he can be extremely shy or bashful at times. Most of the time he seems carefree and alzy, but is actually anything but.
Biography: Unlike many present at Camp Jupiter, he was not introduced to the place from a young age, and his mother, a demigod of cupid herself, was not associated with them either. It was only due to a convergence of events that eh finally ended up there, though that can wait for now. He was born in Hollywood California, and his mother was a famous heiress and former party girl. She was a daughter of Cupid, her mother being an heiress as well, though she was a far more lovely being than her title. It was this in part that drew cupid to her, but enough about that. He grew up much like any Demigod, noticing and seeing things, so different from everything else.

Though such incidents continued over time, nothing major happened, well not until at a certain party in High School. It was at an after Prom party, the first party he ever went to. After he arrived the party started escalating, at the end it culminated into, well, something named after his godly parent. That in turn drew certain creatures to the party, afterwards he ended up at Camp Jupiter. He was found to be a child of Bacchus, he received two things. One was a goblet, that had many forms, the other was a weapon that has the shape of a staff with grape vines twining up it the other form is a sword which has a straight blade and grape vines forming a hilt.

In his short time at Camp Jupiter he had become a Legionnaire, he could become a centurion. However his conduct and such was deemed unbecoming, not to mention his lack of experience in the matters of the Camp.

Abilities: As a daughter of Demeter, Anna has an exceptional ability to garden, including being able to bring plants back from death. She also can feel the life forces of trees. In the past she was able to use this ability to reach out and contact dryads and other nature spirits who originally lead her to Camp Half-blood. Her most powerful ability is the ability to animate plants. She can cause smaller plants to serve like ropes that bind an opponent and can have trees bash people as if they were clubs. Her weapon of choice is the longbow, and she is easily the most talented archer in her cabin, able to compete with Apollo cabin campers.
Weaknesses:
  • Anna has issues with the sight of blood. As a daughter of the goddess of life, it upsets her, as someone who has lived through tragedy it depresses her. A little blood makes her nauseous, but large amounts both make her sick and bring back painful memories.
  • At 5'4 and 115 pounds, Anna is small in stature. She is not a great melee fighter to boot, meaning that she isn't very good at physical confrontations.
Equipment:
  • Anna has a private cultivation of herbs. The herbs contained are all very rare and hard to cultivate, and can be mixed to create a powerful poultice able to do miraculous healing of wounds. She always has enough growing to heal one serious wound. If used up, it will take her months before she can grow the herbs required in quantity to replace them. The herbs, which she has grown from seeds, were gifted by her mother. If travelling she can dry the herbs and place them in a leather pouch.
  • Anna also possess a simple bow and short sword. She is far more skilled with the bow. While clumsy with a sword, she is very accurate with her longbow.

Personality: Shy, bright, and industrious describe Anna. She keeps to herself and her cultivation, though she has a good relationship with the other members of her cabin. She rarely initiates conversion, and is likely to great fellow campers with a quick nod. She has no family to speak of beyond the camp and thus is very protective of her half-siblings.
Biography: Anna Leah was born to Jeremy Leah, a humble postman and avid gardener, in Greene County, Pennsylvania. Her mother appeared to her father as a co-worker who also had an interest in botany, and they had a one year romance. Soon after Anna's birth, however, her mother disappeared. Heartbroken and never truly realizing the nature of his lover, Jeremy took it upon himself to raise to raise child. With no immediate relatives, Jeremy was the only family Anna had, and she was told since a young age that her mother was deceased. Her father would never tell her any more and never did.

As a young girl, Anna took a great interest in the natural world. Her father took her hiking and taught her much about the forest and its ecosystems. He also taught her gardening. Gardening became one of her favorite past times, and living in a backwoods and out-of-the-way area, she rarely had friends over. Plants seemed to blossom under her care and she was recognized at the state fair for a large pumpkin she grew. For many years she lived a happy but solitary life. Her closest friend and only friend that she ever saw out of school was a girl named Sally Crowe. Sally was never well-watched and seemed to just materialize out of the forest at times, but she was well-behaved and enjoyed similar pastimes to Anna. Though Sally was only rarely at the home, she was the only friend she had that visited her and maintained a friendship with Anna for years.

In addition to her other pastimes, Anna took up the bow. There was an archery club located in her county and she discovered how much she enjoyed archery during her one year of Girl Scouts. Though originally a very bad shot, by the time she had been competing for five years (at the age of 13) she was a rather good archer. Archery was her only competitive hobby, and is one of her best abilities.

It was when she was 13 and only a few months before being 14, that she first discovered the misted world. She was at home, awaiting her father to finish his route, and finishing some work she had to do in school, but as she sat things began to get uncomfortable. The sky had a steel grey tint and the woods were silent besides for the wind. Her father's vehicle just pull into the lot when the noise began. It was a noise difficult to describe. A shrieking bird flock with voices shrill and high, assembled outside. Birds unlike what she had ever seen broke the silence of the day, and soon began to fill the trees. There was no way out of the house that didn't have the birds in the trees, but they were only birds and her father had intended for them to go out to eat tonight. It was in this instant that Anna was filled with horror as the birds swooped down and attacked. Feathers like knives, beaks like razors, and cries like death made the scene absolutely horrific as her father was left in a puddle of blood the birds attacked her. She ran and managed to block the birds with her arms although she had suffered many cuts and she was bleeding quite badly from her left arm. Somehow she managed to get into the thick of the forest where the trees seemed to form a barrier against the birds.

In the deepest part of she ran into her friend, Sally Crowe. Tearfully, Anna told Sally what she had seen. Sally then told her to follow quickly. When asked why she revealed that she was a guide, a nymph, and that the birds were Stymphalian birds of Greek myth. She then told Anna that the birds had meant to come and kill a half-mortal and half-god. Anna, who was in shock, failed to see the connection until the flock appeared and she suddenly realized she could see through the mist and had a glimpse of how terrible the birds really were. Luckily she was nearly in the borders of Camp Halfblood. Her escape was fortuitous, as the birds were preparing to dive down on her. Upon arriving and being led to Demeter's cabin she discovered her gift from her mother that appeared overnight on her bunk.

Since arriving at Camp Halfblood about three years ago, she has been slower to make friends than most. Her closest friends are those within in her cabin, and without any family to speak of, her half-siblings are her family and she is a full time resident of the camp.

She always has enough growing to heal one serious wound. If used up, it will take her months before she can grow the herbs required in quantity to replace them. The herbs, which she has grown from seeds, were gifted by her mother. If travelling she can dry the herbs and place them in a leather pouch.

Heartbroken and never truly realizing the nature of his lover, Jeremy took it upon himself to raise to raise child. With no immediate relatives, Jeremy was the only family Anna had, and she was told since a young age that her mother was deceased. Her father would never tell her any more and never did.

As a young girl, Anna took a great interest in the natural world. Her father took her hiking and taught her much about the forest and its ecosystems. He also taught her gardening. Gardening became one of her favorite past times, and living in a backwoods and out-of-the-way area, she rarely had friends over. Looking good so far. Make sure to fix the bold around the name right at the top, and possibly throw in an image of what she'll look like during battle. Obviously it's still a work in progress, but so far her bio looks fine as is.

I've got a hero machine image of her somewhere I think. See I actually put a tremendous amount of work into this character at on time and then failed to utilize her.
