Because I can't pronounce that and that's a term to cool for our enemies.

NEW LAZARENE CONSTITUTION RAMMED THROUGH WITHOUT CONSULTATION

Uniterra, Lazarus - Rogue Delegate Funkadelia has proposed a radical new Constitution for Lazarus that would crown him as King of the Undead, a position that is not elected and has virtually unlimited executive power over the region. Further changes include the abolishment of a free legislature in favor of an assembly, strictly controlled by the Regent who is, in turn, appointed unilaterally by the King of the Undead.

Underscoring Funkadelia's clear intent to seize the region for his own sake, the draft proposed by Funkadelia was motioned to vote a mere 16 minutes later by Lamb Stone and seconded a further 2 minutes later by Funkadelia himself, thereby stifling further discussion despite complaints by long-time Lazarene Drop Your Pants. Voting began a day later, and as the preliminary results show, the few actual Lazarenes that have not been systematically purged or ostracized by Funkadelia's tyrannical regime (Trackeendy, Caldariat, Drop Your Pants, The13th) have voted Nay, a pale cry for justice subdued by a rush of Aye votes from Funkadelia's extensive network of imported voters.

A wise decision on the part of the King and the loyal citizens of Lazarus. I'm glad to see a government that will guarantee future stability.

Sixteen minutes, gah. That's transparently corrupt. Downright ghoulish, even.

Speaking of downright ghoulish.

I hope that was a pun based on their undead theme. :P

I'm not sure why it matters that it was motioned to vote after sixteen minutes. It didn't actually go to vote until a day later, and there was time to discuss it before it went to vote as while as during the voting period. As usual, this obsession with vote timing is a defender tempest in a teapot.

I'm not very comfortable arguing with someone who seems to change sides a lot and gets booted from communities, from what I've seen.

A lot of the natives who are upset have more experience raiding then defending, in fact you already spoke to a few of us.

We didn't make this R vs. D, the other side did that.

Jesus, I was a Chair in the South Pacific - and a legislator in many regions. Yes, I respect voting protocol. What Funkadelia is doing is conduct synonymous with a sham democracy. There's zero consultation, zero discussion - it's "submit and pass." It's an outrageous joke.

You and I both know you'd be furious if you were a legislator in an Assembly where the leader attempted to do this with the constitution.

Just for the record, but most of the backers in the regional forum thread for this are not from the region. Some of them are June or younger, some are delegates or officals of other regions, and just five are actual serious natives I've seen in the region.

Meanwhile, an opposing comment has 10 likes, and the the thread if full of angry, disenfranchised natives.

The vote is still open and doesn't end until the second of August.

Maybe wait until the bill actually passes before saying it's been "rammed through". Rammed through to what? A vote? My god! How very scandalous!

Also, I noticed this puppet didn't link to the actual vote, which can be found here. We even cited Lazarus law as to why the vote began a full 48 hours, not a day as the article falsely states, after the motion was seconded:
(6) If more than 48 hours have passed since a motion to vote has been seconded and no vote has been scheduled, the citizen who introduced the motion to vote may schedule a vote on the proposal.

What about the part in Lazarene law where the Convenor is the one who has the authority to open these votes? Wait, no, he was summarily purged from the region because he challenged your other violations of the law.

Rammed through the bureaucratic process.

It's worth noting you've also taken to suppressing our news content on the Regional Message Board. We consider this an abuse of public office.

Ah, so you were only being slightly deceptive with your choice of words? Very trustworthy.

Also, I didn't even post my own article to the RMB. What makes you think I'd allow you to throw your "creative wording" into everyone's faces?

Even in most other sinkers/feeders your post would be suppressed and you'd probably be banned for spamming the RMB. But, oh god, the oppression.

Why would they throw away Lazarus for a region they would lose after a single update? That's silly and would be completely out of character for Funkadelia.
