Nationality/Allegiance: Born to the Stowaways, he fled his homeworld and began a streak of freelance mercenary employment. He has fought for near every bidder in the galaxy at some point, but his allegiance is almost always to the highest payer, or numero uno in the absence of this.
Physical appearance: Edvian is a hulk of a man stacked against other humans - Seven feet, 2 inches and 245 pounds of muscular build and cybernetic enhancement make him a fearsome looking man from a distance. Face-to-face it is something of a different story, as his bushy beard makes him appear strangely friendly, and soft hazel eyes are outlined by a hard jawline and brows that make him equally imposing and approachable.
Identifying Marks: Many scars adorn his torso and arms from close fighting over a century and a half.
Skills: -Perhaps the most physically gifted human fighter known, he has also refined his technique over 150 years of experience. He is more than a brute, capable of swinging and timing his follow ups with his custom crafted plasma edged axe intricately.
-He is adept at traversing undeveloped terrain due to his experience of the galaxy and his younger years with the Stowaways
-Over his years of traversing the galaxy he has learned to interact with humans, reptiles, and strange alien blobs alike to find work and negotiate payment. His nature is remarkably cheery to those he isn't attempting to cleave in two, and he is overall a well-liked and respected man in most seedy bars and cushy clubs of the galaxy alike. An aptitude for making friends in between seeking valor.
Personality: Edvian as he exists now is a man bound greatly by his own word and sense of honor. He leans strongly on his person code of "if I say it will be done, it will be done." and rarely will he abandon a task that others ask of him. Although the life of a mercenary does not breed great loyalty, Edvian's affection for those he considers close comrades is exceptional. He is, however, obsessed with seeking out glorification and combat, as is he obsessed with finding the "Valhalla" he believes is hidden among the stars, a closely guarded secret kept by a race of great warriors for millennia. If an honorable, fair fight is a viable option to solving a problem, he lives for it, and despises those who would kill a man in their sleep, or use some other underhanded or cowardly method to get around a confrontation or solve a problem. His perception of a person greatly depends on how they adhere to an age old, dated code of honor.
Weaknesses: His obsession with being granted entrance to "Valhalla" leads to him being quick to pick a fight, and rarely does he consider simpler, easier solutions to people problems. At times he finds it difficult to follow orders, given ones that may disagree with his personal code, and thus has issues with authority figures in the field telling him how to accomplish their task. He is a below average combat pilot at best, more of a liability when it comes to fighting in space than anything. He suffers from horrible insomnia.

Bio: Edvian has only minor memories of his very early life, among the stowaways. He knows that he was born on a nondescript fringe world of the Great Void, and he remembers that from a very young age he was learning to farm, herd, and live off of the land, as the stowaways had been doing since their forebears had fled into the wilderlands and staked a claim of their own. This formative period of his life perhaps shaped him the most. He became accustomed to conditions many would consider uncomfortable to live in. A love for the outdoors, the freedom that it inspired and the beauty of it, took root in him then. As he grew older, the accepted Stowaway cultural values shaped his personality, but more relevant to his future were his own observations and beliefs. As the Stowaways valued classical literature from the old world, one of Edvian's favorite reads as a child was the Poetic Edda. The norse poetry that spoke of warrior gods and strong heroes and an afterlife for the powerful encapsulated him, and perhaps it was in his early years that he convinced himself there must be some truth to what he was reading, that somewhere the greatest of all fighters were gathered for some epic conquest against the galaxy.
From here he began to perceive flaws in the Stowaways' ideology. He grew tired of the cowardice of scuttling about the foliage and shadows, ambushing, and then pulling back before any real victory was achieved. The way they accepted their isolation and captivity imposed by larger empires frustrated him. Their adherence to Abrahamic preaching of peace, for the most part, made him believe that they were wasting not only their potential as a force to be reckoned with, but stifling his own potential as a warrior.
When he was 19 Edvian's clan had become deeply embroiled in a feud with their neighbors. It began with a string of break ins, insults, and public scorning that made Edvian's blood boil. Rather than wait for this rivalry to potentially be solved peaceful, the already physically imposing boy took it on himself to bludgeon every member of the offending clan with his plow as he could, openly in public. It ended with 16 of these men and women killed in "open, fair combat" and the perception of the young man changed among his community for good. He became a taboo and social outcast, and he acknowledged this. Two days after he had left their small settlement tucked away in jagged mountains and migrated to a busier, more settled spaceport on the planet. He has never gone back, and never did learn the name of his homeworld aside from what the Stowaways had called it. In this spaceport he worked for two years doing menial labor, odd jobs, smithing weapons for others, as he had learned to do throughout his childhood. People were willing to pay a high price for Stowaway craftsmanship he realized, and he came into enough funds to get craft his own gear. He chose to make for himself an impressive rifle which he would carry with him for a time yet. Once off planet he travelled into Cyanian territory and frequented seedy establishments offering his services as a mercenary to low level thugs and the like. Soon his wealth and renown had grown until eventually he was contacted by professional criminals, government organizations, and wealthy individuals for work.
This has been the course of much of his life, for more than a century and a half. He's taken it upon himself to become such a fine fighter than this hidden "Valhalla" world must take notice, and he used his wealth to go to any means to make that happen. Much of his torso was implanted with sturdy metal to make it more like a shell of armor than human skin. Intricate systems operate with his already muscular arms to allow him incredible strength to effectively wield his trademark weapon, the seven foot plasma-edged greataxe that he keeps handy at all times. These physical enhancements he paid a high price to some of the galaxy's finest physicians to make happen, and his weapon he made from scratch of his own design. He believes that as long as he keeps fighting, his inevitable destiny will be upon him.
