Is the sex of the main character a sufficient reason for you to get excited about? I mean, sure I dislike this shitty show but even if I liked it, I wouldn't get that worked up over so little, honestly.

Game of Thrones is the most over-hyped piece of crap in history. I could not give a fuck that some blonde wench with dragons is fucking her sister's uncle's mother's grandson and her dragons will eat the short guy in three episodes time (Oh yeah - spoiler alert. Sorry). And yet somehow other people get excited by that fact.
I like Doctor Who and the fact have a Time Lady in The Tardis is a not inconsiderable event. If you don't watch it, then why are you in this thread?

From what little I know, the actor playing the main character change each season and it's canon that he can change sex too when he "respawn". It's not on the same level as wincest or a character dying, honestly. But yeah, the tv show is shit. Read the books.

I mean storywise. When the 11th doctor became the 12th doctor, that was when Clara (I think) was his at that time current companion, when he regenerated into the 12th doctor the reasoning in the story was because he wanted to show her the true him, something he wasn't able to do with some previous companions. If they don't do something like that with this one then I'll be entirely horribly disappointed in them.

Well this has already happened twice, once on camera and once off but involving a major character.

See, I thought it would just be the readers of The Mail and The Express who would be up in arms. But no - it's the ACTUAL PAPERS that are fucked off about this.
