The International Gazette (also known as The Gazette) is an official journal of record in which certain statutory notices may be published.
The International Gazette is a publication managed by numerous bodies in various nations, all under the superintendence of the Gazette Staff. As an official public record, information published is verified and certified as fact. Issues are available by subscription or online.
Who can publish notices?
Notices can be published by:
Official state or government bodies (such as a Ministry, the office of a King, or a House of Parliament), a governmental body (an body that serves a public goal rather than a private goal, and is just semi-independent from one or more government body/bodies), international organizations (including the in-game regions), and other offices that serve a public goal.
What information does the Gazette contain?
The Gazette publishes public information in the form of notices.
Many of the notices that are placed in the Gazette are required by law of the publishing nation, and is thus statutory. However, some are just published because it is deemed to be in the public’s interest that the information is in public domain. The Gazette is often cited in national legislation and considered by some Courts and other legal organisations to be the most effective portal to achieve this.
These are the categories, with their respective subjects:
National notices
1 State notices, such as bills becoming Act and Law;
2 Honour & Appointment notices, such as lists with the recipients of several honours;
3 Insolvency notices, such as bankruptcy orders;
4 Personal legal notices, such as deceased estates notices;
5 Company profiles and notices, such as the incorporation of a company;
6 Other public notices.
International notices
7 Treaties & Agreements, such as statutes of an international body;
8 International meetings;
9 Other international notices.
Special supplements
10 Military notices, such as declarations of war;
11 Administration notices, when new heads of government/state come into office
12 Extraordinary notices, other notices that do not fall in another category.
What information may not be published?
Information that has not been verified or certified yet, may not be published in the Gazette. However, there are also other articles that may not be published, such as advertisements. (If you are not sure whether it may be posted, TG The International Gazette.
What should each notice contain?
Each notice should contain at least:
The name of the authority that publishes the notice (a logo is encouraged as well); the category; the publication date; the notice code (number of post in topic); the notice itself.
