I wouldn't blame him for not being on - dude mentioned mid-raid that he's heading to Basic, people have lives, all that jazz. A fair criticism though IMHO would be not better preparing for contingencies while getting ready to be largely absent for a period of time. It's evident that the region has other trusted, long term members - one should perform a delegate switch or perhaps give someone else super trusted your PW in case of emergencies, in the name of contingency. That's not just for raiders specifically, but for any other situation that may require administrative attention when lacking a founder.

I think we forget that active R/D players are only a tiny portion of the game's community and that we are the weirdos for checking in 20 times a day.

Ive even seen people call in sick to NS. There's something wrong with that.

Ankh Mauta was a display of raider unity, though it's a shame that there weren't more orgs helping (some even hindering) the invasion. On that note, TEP raiders did participate, but they were led by TWP, so kudos to them as well.

The past minor and major the hawks have been busy searching many regions.
What for you may ask? Something that a little fenda let slip.
The rumor of the bigger raiders with their bigger raids that has been spoken.
After dozens of regions were searched and handfuls of fendas left in our dust,
There has still been no sign of them across the patches of gameplay.
All of that changed after this update when we finally found out who it was they spoke of.
Perhaps it was the many tag raids that they do very often leaving natives scrambling for help,
Or maybe their many successful occupations that they plan and execute that showed who it was.
Regardless it was finally concluded after years of trials and tests,
That it is in fact The Black Hawks and allies that they whisper and hide in fear from.

Raid Reports

A number of small raids occurred this week. Hired Contractor has continued to shake off any remaining rust while refining his ability to adjust to variance mid-run, with a helping hand from expert trigger Moneyness. After a few more lessons, Valkyrie has been practicing her triggering skills and is ever-improving.

Promotions and Awards

A well-deserved round of promotions was executed this week. Fabulous Rainicorns, Mivix, Qonon, and Portice advanced from Private First Class to Corporal, the rank at which one is generally considered to be a reliable long-term member of TBH, skilled in all types of jump. Hired Contractor was promoted from Corporal to Sergeant, a rank which is award upon demonstrating a desire and skill for leadership, and the rank at which one is able to plan and execute tag runs and small operation with minimal supervision. Many other Hawks are very near these points, so expect more promotions soon!

Additionally, Moneyness was award with The Sword of Leadership, one of TBH's rarely-awarded medals for extraordinary feats. The Sword of Leadership is an award for "exemplary tactical leadership on the battlefield," and was award with recognition of Moneyness' incredible triggering skill, initiative in training new members, work on a special TBH project, and textbook tactical recovery of our operation in Ankh Mauta. Also noted, if perhaps not necessarily within the normal scope of the award, was his work off the battlefield in welcoming new members and training other triggers. The Council is proud to recognize Moneyness for his hard work and self-starting.

This month so far has seen a surge of new members to TBH. Approximately 6 Privates have completed their first raid and been promoted to Private First Class, and several more Privates are working with us to execute their first run in the near future. We welcome these new Hawks, and can't wait to see what they bring to the future of The Black Hawks!
