Britanania, how's that second pokemon coming along for Anaka?
She's headed from Altorre City to Fantano Town.
Jude's headed from Fantano Town to Altorre City.
Sounds like a meet and greet to me. 8)

And Corvo will run into the group at Selverde once everything's done at the gym.

When people do the collab posts for the battles and stuff, how exactly do you do it? Just telegram drafts back and forth and edit until you're both happy? It's not something I've done before actually, I'm used to just posting what my character or nation or whatever does and then letting the other reply, but I fear that would drag out the battle with short posts a bit.

It really is your preference: through tgs or regular ic posts. Like Whatsa said, though: determine the outcome beforehand. And if you want any of your mons to learn new moves, just ask!
Well I'll leave it up to Kita-Hinode, since he'd need to post next anyway. No new moves for Emzee, who's going to lose anyway.

It's alright, man. I'm sorry for not answering yesterday, kind of ended up playing soccer yesterday... and today as well, come to think of it. I'll type a proper post in a bit.

This looks really interesting (albeit a little slow), and I'd like to join. However, my knowledge of Pokémon is severely limited (as in, I've never played any of the games, aside from GO, I've only watched the anime), so when it comes to items and stuff, you might have to correct me and help me out a few times.

The character I'm thinking is someone who lives somewhere near mines or other places with lots of Steel/Ground/Rock type Pokémon, so would Favela Town be a good place to put my character, or is there a special reason the town's description is really vague? Or would I be better off as a character from a village/isolated ranch in the Highlands?

Also, unrelated question, but what are the Maderia region starters? And does the region have its own Mythical/Legendary Pokémon?

The mine town is actually Jemoia, but that place is almost deserted, save for a few people and the former gym leader. If your character is from there, they can still be there, or their could have moved it once the mine was shut down a couple of years before the events of the rp.

As for starters, there arent any; you choose what pokémon to start with. The region does have it's own legendaries, but as of now, they're just legends

I mean, I obviously got that we start with our own, I'm just wondering what the official starter trio could be.
I think I'll be from just outside of Jemoia - highland ranch/farm it is.

Lloyd Millar

Appearance (If the image is too large or it's a description: 12 years old, relatively tall for his age and quite fit (having done quite a bit of manual labour). Very short neat black hair, with blue eyes. Quite dark tanned skin. Usually wears plain colour T-shirts with knee-length shorts and a cap for the sun.
Gender: Male
Age: 12
Bio: Born and raised out in the Maderia Highlands, Lloyd lives with his family a mile or so out of Jemoia Town, where they operate their own ranch and small-scale mining operation near the Jemoia Mines (nothing exciting, just metal ore). Lloyd is the youngest of four siblings, with the other three all having spent time away exploring Maderia and the world at large - Lloyd's sister (sibling #2) was the most interested in battling, and even entered the Pokémon League in Unova, a fun trip for the family, certainly, even if she didn't do too well; Lloyd's parents think that he's now mature enough to set out on his own journey.
Personality: Lloyd is quite an outgoing kid, wanting to make friends with any people and Pokémon that pass through the ranch. He has a particular affinity with the Pokémon types that live around the mines, mainly Steel, Ground and Rock types, especially as he has to use their help in the mining operations. He's also quite curious, he wants to learn as much about everything that he can. Not that experienced a battler, but puts his heart and soul into everything that he does. Lloyd sees the Pokémon League as a more of a means than an end, as a way to explore the world, meet new people and Pokémon and make new friends. He'll probably spend a lot more time watching wild Pokémon than battling them, although battling experience has to come from somewhere. Is extremely used to living off the bare minimum of food, and has camped out a lot, so he's not averse to sleeping outdoors if need be.
Items: 5 Pokéballs, 2500P, 2 Potions, Backpack, Foldaway tent with sleeping bag, basic cooking supplies and tools

--Optional--
Likes: Exploring places, talking, learning new things
Dislikes: People who treat Pokémon as tools or weapons, people who are too serious

#PAV (do not remove)

Ronny

Image

Species: Aron
Gender: Male
Age: 4 years old
Item (If applicable): None
Pokéball Type: Normal
Personality: Very much like it's trainer - friendly, curious, tries its hardest, always willing to learn.

Ability: Rock Head
Moves:
  • Headbutt
  • Harden
  • Mud-Slap
Trainer: Lloyd Millar

--Optional--
Biography: An egg that had gotten separated from its parents, Ronny was found the by Millar family and given to young Lloyd to look after while they searched for the parents. Unfortunately, the egg hatched, and Ronny immediately grew attached to Lloyd. So much so that when it was time to return the little Aron to its Aggron parents, Aron refused, and elected to stay with Lloyd. Since then, the two have been inseparable, and Ronny has been helping out at the mine, sniffing out new veins of iron ore (it's favourite mineral snack) and generally learning from the other Pokémon working in the area as well.
Likes: Iron Ore, discovering new things, Lloyd, making new friends
Dislikes: Rude people and Pokémon, wary of any unfamiliar Ground-type Pokémon

#PAV (Do not remove)

Sander

Image

Species: Sandshrew
Gender: Male
Age: Unknown
Item (If applicable): N/A
Pokéball Type: Normal Pokéball
Personality: Unknown (possibly timid/shy)

Ability: Sand Veil
Moves:
  • Defence Curl
  • Rollout
  • Rapid Spin
  • Fury Cutter
  • Magnitude
Trainer: Lloyd Millar

--Optional--
Biography: Sander lived a pretty ordinary life in the wild, although it loved battling a lot more than the rest of its group, often getting into trouble with a few very strong Pokémon in the area. Pretty fond of food as well, so Sander jumped at the opportunity of getting lots of good food and lots of battling.
Likes: Lloyd's food, Battling
Dislikes: ???

Mund, can I have a random encounter? Either a pokemon or trainer is fine.

Also, for later reference, how will Pokemon like Haunter and Kadabra evolve?

How they always do: trade.

Also, for later reference, how will Pokemon like Haunter and Kadabra evolve?

How they always do: trade.

Edit: can you make a post for Ananka beforehand?

As a videogame mechanic that kinda makes sense to encourage trading, but it seems a little funny to do it in the RP.

Yeah, I can do that. Anything specific you want her to do?

I might introduce an item that the trainer can use instead of trading...

Just have Ananka come across a pokémon or vice versa

So, I have to believe that Ananka and Heka can't be goaded into a fight with Jude and Lady, true? Okay. Some other time. Thought that I made you a good offer.
