PRETORIA - In the late hours of last night, Minister of Defence Adrian Felix called a large-scale press conference.

Tergnitz Global News has previously reported to you regarding the harsh oppression faced by the citizens of Solm, Cervia and Lintyland, who are subjected to dejected and despotic rule, with little daily stability and no political or civil freedom. During this press conference, Minister Felix revealed some previously classified details which outlined a developing global situation. Apparently, the three above nations have recently engaged in a large scale military build-up. Utilizing a series of high-tech satellite photographs, Minister Felix pointed out several large concentrations of foreign ships aggressively streaming towards our Dominion.

After a period of intense questioning, the Minister repeatedly refused to call these naval formations an invasion fleet and stated that the Foreign Ministry is currently engaged in high-level diplomatic talks with the nations involved, inquiring as to the purpose and final destination of their Naval Flotillas.

Minister Felix then moved on to state that he had been involved in several in-depth discussions with His Imperial Majesty about the Dominion's response and that a decision had been reached. He had this to say,



Whatever the true situation is with these ships, I want the people of Tergnitz to know that our Dominion will not be intimidated, bullied or threatened into submission. Several hours before this Press Conference, with the full backing of the Imperial Senate and His Imperial Majesty, I have ordered our armed forces to elevate their threat level to Defcon 2. Reservists within all four branches of the Imperial Armed Forces have been called up and will immediately begin to mobilise. The Imperial Domestic Defence Force has also been put on high alert, with ninety percent of all personnel being issued a notice of deployment. Finally, all active military forces currently engaged in overseas deployments have been withdrawn over the past week and re-deployed to strategic positions within the Dominion. The Emperor hopes that these moves will be enough to deter any reckless moves by foreign powers, safeguarding the security of the Dominion.



Minister Felix finished by stating that the Imperial Government would take any and all measures it deemed necessary to protect the Dominion from any form of imperialist aggression, especially from some of the most oppressive and tyrannical nations in the world.

Tergnitzian Embassy Compound in Slazenagara Under Siege
Local Police Forces Powerless to Intervene

The widespread rioting which engulfed the vast majority of Slazenagara in the aftermath of the government’s declaration of bankruptcy late Monday morning, continued unabated throughout the night. Slazenagaran law enforcement has been utterly swamped by the sheer scope of the civil unrest, with allegedly thousands of reports of looting and arson, along with many cases of assault, rape and even murder.

At roughly 11 p.m last night, the Tergnitzian Embassy compound within the nation’s Capital, Ruslov, came under attack by an angry mob of anti-government protestors and radical militants. Shouting abusive slogans and hurling Molotov cocktails, the rioters encircled the Embassy and began to erect make-shift barricades in the surrounding streets. Two hours later, several militants attempted to breach the Embassy itself by scrambling over the exterior defensive wall. The eight Imperial Marines guarding the Embassy, seeing no other option, opened fire on these militants, killing six and wounding another two dozen. There were no further attempts to enter the Embassy itself and within another hour, the rioters began to move off slowly.

Foreign Ministry officials within the Embassy place the blame for the brief siege on Solmian agitators within the Slazenagaran populace. Ambassador, Baron Renton had this to say;



"To safeguard the fine men and women of the Tergnitzian Foreign Ministry residing in this Embassy and in anticipation of further clashes between Solmian militants and Embassy security. I have issued ‘shoot-on-sight’ orders to the Imperial Marines guarding the Embassy in regards to any individual they consider poses a threat to their personal security, or the safety of any Tergnitzian citizen. This order will stand until the Slazenagaran Government regains control of their nation’s Capital."

Rumours have also begun to circulate, claiming that the King, Kovy CCXII has fled the country, seeking refuge in a neighboring country until the crisis has passed. These rumors have only inflamed tensions, adding to the anger and frustration felt by the nation's citizenry. Overall, the situation in Slazenagara can only be described as grim and the prospect of it improving any time soon, is slim.

PRETORIA - An early morning announcement by the Imperial Foreign Ministry regarding the Dominion's stance towards the loosely organized ecological group known as the ‘Ecostasis Society,’ did not surprise anyone. The Imperial Foreign Ministry officially labelled the group as a terrorist organization which in their words aims to ‘disrupt the flow of commerce and trade by extremist and typically violent means.’ Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, George Decan then moved on to discuss the safety of the Dominion in regards to any potential attacks and the eco-terrorist mindset;



"The Foreign Ministry has been in constant communication with His Imperial Majesty, the Imperial Defence Ministry and the Imperial Internal Security Division regarding the threat posed by this fringe terrorist organization. A general consensus has emerged, with all agencies agreeing that the safely and security of the Dominion's citizens is not significantly threatened by this group. Therefore, while the Imperial Government will continue to monitor for any possible attacks, the domestic threat level will not be raised.

On the surface this so-called ‘Ecostasis Society’ possesses seemingly noble intentions, the protection of the environment. However, the individuals within this shadowy organization pursue this goal without regards to its cost. They are environmental extremists and radicals, who have alienated themselves from moderate supporters by blindly seeking to reverse the glorious process the industrialization which the world has undergone over the previous three centuries through violent means. This morning I received a report Imperial Internal Security Division which links the Ecostasis Society to ‘The Four Winds,’ an eco-terrorist group operating within the Dominion. The Four Winds was responsible the despicable attack on the Tergnitz United Energy oil tanker 'Magnar' four weeks ago, which killed 18 crewmen and cost upwards of $100 million dollars in damages."

Following the announcement, Ministry officials reiterated the zero-tolerance policy currently enshrined within the Imperial Judicial system, which was adopted in the aftermath of the 1926 Defence Ministry bombing. This policy outlines a series of harsh penalties that any individual charged with aiding or attempting to carry out an act of terrorism will be faced with, from life imprisonment to capital punishment.

Imperial Senate votes to grant the Emperor Emergency Powers
Dominion Preparing to Switch to Total-War Footing

Internal Security Division soldiers deployed to the Capital

PRETORIA - Yesterday, the full Imperial Senate assembled for a crisis session at an undisclosed location somewhere within the Dominion. The Senators, guarded by elite elements of the Grand Imperial Army, discussed the Empire’s current military situation in the aftermath of the Battle of Halifax Sea, seeing as the vast majority of the First Fleet was destroyed by the foreign naval flotilla. After reviewing the comprehensive satellite footage of the battle, they unanimously voted to posthumously declare Rear Admiral Victor Keller a Hero of the Tergnitzian Dominion for his courageous actions above and beyond the call of duty. Sir Fredrick Lars, a Knight of Tergnitz and the current leader of the Monarchist Party is quoted as having said that, “The Admiral’s actions display a true embodiment of the fighting spirit which burns brightly within every Imperial citizen.” His family are expected to be presented with the commendation in a special ceremony with His Imperial Majesty at the Imperial Palace in Pretoria later this week.

In addition to this, a statement issued revealed that the Senators discussed several important domestic issues, ranging from the success in switching to a total-war economy, to the mass evacuation of civilians from the nation’s west coast. They also made an effort to recognize the sacrifice undertaken by average Imperial citizens, who have dug deep during this period of conflict, individually contributing to the war effort. Over eight billion Imperial Dollars has been raised thus far under the Dominion's 1st Imperial War Bond Drive.

Their final act during this crisis meeting was to vote on whether to invoke the Supreme Emergency Powers Clause (Clause 37) of the Imperial Constitution, which would disband the Imperial Senate. This action would then grant His Imperial Majesty, the Emperor, wide-reaching powers to defend and protect the Empire and her citizens for the duration of this war, dubbed the ‘Crimson War’ by several foreign media outlets. The measure passed, 219 - 8, with 3 Senators abstaining. His Imperial Majesty held an official press conference directly after the vote results were announced:



"With these powers that you have granted me, I will move swiftly to unmask the traitors and foreign infiltrators living among us. These despicable individuals live to undermine the foundations of our beloved Dominion. They deserve no mercy, which is why they will receive none. As I speak, law enforcement agencies, in combination with the Imperial Military are rounding up all foreign nationals and domestic rebellious elements currently residing within the Dominion. These foreigners and traitors will be moved to transitional internment camps, where they will remain for the foreseeable future.

Sons and daughters of the Dominion, during this period of armed struggle our continued survival and security must take precedence, thus some minor rights and freedoms must be temporarily suspended. To that extent, I am officially declaring a state of martial law, to come into effect immediately across the entire Dominion, along with her colonies, empowering the dedicated men and women within our military to maintain law and order and to prevent any and all subversive actions. On this day, I vow to do whatever it takes to ensure that our Dominion is secure once more. When this day comes and come it shall, the freedoms and liberties sacrificed by the Tergnitzian people will be fully resorted."


True to His Majesty’s words, scores of soldiers from the Imperial Internal Security Division [IISD] were deployed within hours of the declaration to the streets of the Capital, along with all remaining major cities with civilian populations who have not yet been evacuated. TGNA has received information from numerous amateur sources residing within these cities regarding the establishment of security checkpoints on main thoroughfares. We have also received word that police bodies across the nation have been folded temporarily into the military command, with all government security services now answerable to the IISD.

Civil rights advocates have loudly proclaimed that these recent events have signed an end to democracy within the Dominion, with renowned activist and political commentator, Professor Philip Edger [Tergnitz National University] saying that, “Our once liberal nation has become something unforeseeable in my worst nightmares, an oppressive, authoritarian dictatorship. This is one of the darkest days in the history of Tergnitz.”

PRETORIA - TGNA has previously reported to you regarding the harsh oppression faced by the citizens of Stoklomolvi, who are subjected to dejected and despotic rule, with little daily stability and no political or civil freedom. These unfortunate souls are forced to live under a brutal communist dictatorship which tolerates no opposition, no matter how slight or insignificant.

During a press conference earlier today, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Theodore Modia proudly announced that the Dominion will be actively assisting several foreign nations to resist the very real threat of Stoklomolvi subjugation. One nation in particular was highlighted by the Minister, the little-known United Commonwealth of Rodarion was praised by Mr Modia for their unwavering support of freedom in the face of tyranny and their proactive military steps despite the large Stoklomolvi naval presence in the region surrounding the small nation of Reformed Britannia.

This announcement was followed by an open question and answer segment, as Mr Modia was joined by several representatives from the Ministry of Defence. Precise details regarding the Dominion’s commitment to the Rodarion War Effort were naturally scarce, yet reporters from TGNA were able to discover that a sizable naval taskforce had been assembled over the previous several days and is currently preparing to set sail. This naval taskforce, codenamed ‘Archangel’ according to internal sources within the Defence Ministry, apparently contains a large assortment of both warships and merchant vessels filled with military and civilian aid.

At the end of the question segment, the Defence Ministry representative, Commodore Anderson, spoke briefly on the potential threat of a military response from the Stoklomolvi Liaoist Federation:



“The Dominion has a proud history of resolutely standing against imperialistic aggression from Neo-Bolshevik states, this incident is simply another example our commitment to global freedom, peace and security. The proud people of Tergnitz know that our Dominion will not be intimidated, bullied or threatened into submission.”

The Judean Sanctum – Elected Government or Solmian Pawn?
Corruption Uncovered at the Highest Levels of Regional Body

PRETORIA – Rumours have circulated for years regarding the existence of a secret cabal of individuals representing the true power behind the Judean Sanctum. ^[1] These ‘faceless men’ are alleged by conspiracy theorists to have the resources, motive and ability to alter the very fabric of nations within Judea. I vowed to uncover the truth behind these often ridiculed rumours, no matter the cost.



My personal journey took me away from civilized Dominion society and the vast array of luxury amenities which such a life is often associated with; into some of the most degenerate and immoral criminal gangs in our nation. A common theme in all of the various conspiracy theories involving the alleged Judean ‘faceless men’ involve the conspirators working with a range of criminal elements in an effort to subvert many legitimate governments , particularly through the distribution of mind-altering narcotics. Thus, to begin my investigation I decided to establish a credible cover in the Corlidors crime syndicate, a process which involved spending four months in jail.

My dedication to the syndicate was tested several times during my incarceration and after my time was up and I was released, the syndicate leadership had decided that I was trustworthy enough to become a drug mule in the lucrative and highly illegal Solmian black market. ^[2]

After being smuggled into Solm through Hobit, I managed to integrate myself with the local criminal underground. It was here, in Solm, that I learnt the truth behind this conspiracy theory. At one meeting of the Solmian branch of the syndicate leadership which I had been instructed to sit in on; it was revealed to me that ‘faceless men’ which I had been hunting did not exist. At this point, I had accomplished my original aim; I had debunked the myth that a secret cabal of individuals was responsible for the real decision-making in the Judean Sanctum. What I discovered, was far worse.

A secret society influencing the course of events in Judea did indeed exist, yet it was concentrated in one nation as opposed to the clandestine group of individuals from every nation as outlined by conspiracy theorists. A ‘shadow’ government, a vast organization operating behind the scenes to influence the Sanctum and control the fate of every nation in Judea; the Solmian ‘shadow’ government.

Comprised of highly-placed officials in a range of fields, this ‘shadow’ government is predominantly made up of individuals from Solm’s armed forces, as well as intelligence and diplomatic communities; the true rulers of the Noocracy. After unearthing this startling revelation I pledged to discover how deep the tendrils of this clandestine group extended into Judea.

I spent the next four months evading the Solmian security agencies who were intent on tracking me down and silencing me while simultaneously searching for someone who could provide a window into the ‘shadow’ government’s activities. Out of the blue, after weeks of searching with nothing to show for it, I was contacted by a high-placed individual within the ‘shadow’ government; codename Redwing.



Over the course of one tense evening in a dilapidated motel, he revealed the depths of the Solmian ‘shadow’ government’s depravity and vice. Codename Redwing meticulously detailed how over the past decade, trillions of dollars have been siphoned out of the Sanctum Treasury by Solmian administrators, both within the official and ‘shadow’ government, largely for personal use. As opposed to discouraging or punishing such despicable behaviour, Redwing indicated that the official Solmian government event went so far as to actively encourage the pilfering of Sanctum funds as long as the theft remained undetected. Furthermore, he exposed how Pan-Judean defence, infrastructure and supply contracts were routinely awarded to Solmian companies in exchange for kickbacks paid to Solmian officials. Redwing's final revelation was that all of these corrupt acts were conducted under the Sanctum banner and in the name of Judean 'unity'; with Solmian officials wholeheartedly believing that by improving their own lives, Judea as a whole would grow and mature.

When asked for a comment, the Solmian Borough of Foreign Affairs ^[3] released an official statement stating that:



"The Tergnitz Global News Agency is fabricating ridiculous allegations in an attempt to spur a conflict to gain power in the regional administration. The Noocracy is fully open in everything it does and has no corruption pertaining to its leadership of the Judean Sanctum"


TGNA fully refutes the Solmian Governments claims and petitions the Dominion, on behalf of all Judean nations, to demand that the Convocation conduct an independent inquiry into all Solmian dealings and actions within the Sanctum over the past ten years.

High-Level Talks between the Sensallian and Tergnitzian Governments Conclude
New Era of Maritime Co-operation Ahead?

HANYANG –Today has seen the conclusion of a wide range of high-level talks between both the governments and militaries of the Righteous Imperial Dominion and the Imperial Republic of Sensal here in the Sensallian capital city of Hanyang.

Official sources say that the relatively low-level meetings were regarding the Dominion’s attempt to hopefully restart discussions regarding the ‘Northern Ellorean Free-Trade Zone’ ^[1] which stalled around June last year after all relevant parties were unable to agree on maritime restrictions on limiting the number of military vessels on the high seas. This official line however can be seen as ringing slightly hollow after the Dominion’s Foreign Minister, Theodore Modia, arrived unbenounced to reporters in Sensal late last night.

The Minister has since flown back to the Dominion and his office has not offered any comment on the Minister’s visit to the Imperial Republic. However political pundits speculate that the talks might have been about the recent rush by foreign governments and multinationals to claim rich minerals resources in the region’s frozen north. ^[2]

While the exact nature of the Minister’s trip may remain shrouded for some time; members of the Tergnitzian delegation to Sensal claim that the talks were very productive and that many common goals were advanced for the mutual benefit of both parties. Rear Admiral Grant, the senior military attaché on the delegation had this to say:

Military Cooperation between Minnysota, Kedav and Tergnitz to Increase
Concept of Joint-Missile Shield Discussed

PRETORIA – In a joint-press conference today, the Tergnitzian Imperial Defence and Foreign Ministries announced that the Dominion would officially commit to a higher level of diplomatic, political and above all military cooperation and collaboration with the United States of Minnysota and the A'avian Imperium of Kedav. The Imperial Government's spokesmen at the conference, Minister for Defence Adrian Felix stated that while these nations would not be entering into any concrete alliance or treaty at this moment; a recent round of negotiations had seen the three nations grow closer politically and diplomatically. ¹ The Minister identified this growth as the fundamental driver for the raft of military cooperation measures that would be announced over the coming weeks.

Foreign policy analysts and security experts say that they are not surprised at all by this announcement. Noted foreign policy analysis and Politics Professor at Tergnitz National University, Andrew Vidth North ² had this to say when contacted by TGNA:



The analyst community has known that this agreement was forthcoming for quite some time now. It is a direct response to the discovery that the Ascendency political-union in Central Ellorea has begun a serious and sustained effort to develop and construct a complete anti-ballistic missile [ABM] missile-shield. This discovery set off alarm-bells in the upper echelons of Imperial High Command, as it threatens to upset the delicate mutually assured destruction balance by granting select foreign states the capacity to engage in a first strike with reduced risk of retaliation. Thus while today's announcement from the Imperial Government contains no mention of a joint-missile shield, or even of the Ascendency; an intelligent foreign affairs follower will recognize that this is entirely the reason behind this new commitment to joint cooperation with these two strategically placed foreign nations.

When questioned regarding the exact nature of this new military cooperation, or the possibility that the Dominion is seeking to develop its own missile-shield; the Ministry of Defence said that the Imperial Government would, "reveal the precise nature of the new military cooperation measures in due time; and would not comment about unsubstantiated rumors."

Gothic Naval Vessels Intercepting International Merchant Ships

ARDENFONTEIN, YOHANNES – In a truly shocking announcement just several hours ago, the government of Yohannes declared to the international community that that due to the recent embargo and blockade of Gholgoth, ^[1] it is shutting down all of its businesses with foreign export components. The decision, according to Yohannesian governmental officials, was the result of many hours of intense discussion between private corporations and a wide range of government agencies.

The ramifications of this decision were felt almost immediately in Yohannes, as well as in nations around the world. The listed share-price of the impacted Yohannesian companies, as well as their subsidiaries briefly went into free-fall on the Yohannesische Börse AG stock exchange before all trading was suspended. At this point, untold millions of Yohannesian citizens and foreign workers fell into an economic crevice; no longer able to work, yet still ‘officially’ employed by various businesses. Over the span of several hours, these individuals have seen their entire world come crashing down before them; leaving many shocked and unsure how to proceed.

Yet the economic consequences of this decision are not solely limited to Yohannes. As is widely known in the business community, many foreign economies, businesses and institutions are either directly or indirectly linked to either the Yohannesian government or private companies within Yohannes; these entities are then linked with other governments and corporations around the world in a seemingly endless chain of commerce and industry. The end result of many decades of globalization and free-market liberalization which has seen global economic growth expand exponentially. ^[2] However, these linkages which promoted trade and created jobs previously; have now been converted into heavy steel chains which threaten to ensnare every nation and drag them into the depths of economic depression.

These knock-on effects have already begun to unfold. Within minutes of the Yohannesian announcement the government of Anemos Major announced that it was temporarily shutting down the Anemonian State Armaments Export Authority; a major player in the global armaments industry. This declration was followed by similar announcements by Athena Aerospace Consortium, Akimonadi-Milogradian Consolidated Industries, and the Atraezan Oil Corporation. ^[3]

The ‘temporary’ collapse of some of the largest companies in the global economy has had a profound impact on the domestic economies of many nations. Reports are coming in from No Endorse and Belkaland that ordinary citizens, severely frightened about the prospect of losing their life savings, have made runs on domestic banks. In the United World Order, a rapid devaluation in the domestic stock market saw billions of dollars disappear within minutes; prompting mass rioting and nation-wide civil unrest. ^[4]

At this point it is unclear as to which direction the global economy will take; as events are moving too fast to follow in a multitude of countries. Yet one thing is certain; every minute that the Gothic embargo continues, the world moves closer to a global depression.

UPDATE #1: The Tergnitzian Imperial Ministry of Commerce has put out a public statement which reads as follows:



"In this time of grave economic uncertainty, it is the official recommendation of the Imperial Commerce Ministry of Tergnitz that all businesses entities and individual investors with assets in foreign nations should attempt to liquify their assets as quickly as possible. Further, the Ministry recommends that these assets should be liquefied in the form of precious metals, as opposed to any local or global currency and then re-invested domestically within the Dominion. The Ministry cannot provide any guarantees at this time regarding the value of non-domestic assets and/or investments for any individual or entity. However, should any liquified assets be re-invested within the Dominion, the Ministry will act to the limits of its power and authority to then protect said assets. That is all at this time"



UPDATE #2: We have just received word from sources within the Tergnitzian Imperial Government that the exportation or sale of precious metals including, yet not limited to gold, silver and platinum has just been declared illegal and a “threat to national security.” According to this source, any individual or entity attempting to export, sell or move any of these materials outside the Dominion could be charged with economic terrorism and for Crimes Against the Dominion.

In a statement made several minutes ago, Primoris Civis Hintar Yass, in a bid to reassure the Dominion’s domestic markets, stated that, “the Imperial Government is well aware of the economic situation and is taking the necessary steps to protect the nation.” While the Primoris would not elaborate on what these ‘steps were,’ he did officially declare a nation-wide State of Emergency.

Experts predict that this declaration will likely see the Dominion Domestic Defence Force mobilized and assigned to protect key financial and governmental institutions. Some also state that they expect an emergency session of the Imperial Senate to be convened; with members expected to approve of a record stimulus package to businesses and individuals impacted by the continuing Gothic embargo.

Election Process Begins in the Shazbotdom Empire
Influential Tergnitizian Citizens to Support Local Candidates

PRETORIA, TERGNITZ – Election fever has swept the nation of Shazbotdom after their Emperor formally dissolved the Imperial Parliament on Wednesday. While this is only the Empire’s seventh official election since its inception many centuries ago, the local citizenry have firmly adopted the new democratic institutions and are keen for their voice to be heard on a national level. ¹

In line with their recent trend of promotioning regional and international cooperation, the Shazbotdom government has once again allowed foreign individuals and organizations the right to participate in this electoral process. While, naturally, foreign nationals are not allowed to cast a ballot, they are legally able to exert an influence on the electoral process.

Given the extremely large population of the Shazbotdom Empire, the diverse range of domestic political ideologies, and the Empire’s extensive regional trade links, it is unsurprising that many Tergnitzian citizens are watching the electoral contest closely. ² While some citizens of the Dominion will donate money to individual candidates, or apply for leave in order to travel to the Empire and campaign for a certain political party; in a rather surprising break from previous elections, a number of influential Dominion citizens have opted to band together in a political action committee in order to better pool their resources in support of a range of local candidates.

The newly founded group, ‘Elloreans for Progressive Action’ [EPA] counts several of the wealthiest and most politically connected men within the Dominion as members, while many more are suspected of being contributors. TGNA reached out to the offices of several of these members for a comment, but has yet to receive a reply. Without a specific comment to reference, TGNA is only left with the information available on the group’s public website which states that the EPA is a "pan-Ellorean group interested in furthering regional cooperation and solidarity" through a focus on "individual freedom, greater trade in goods and services, and technological innovation."

By analysing these statements, TGNA is left to conclude that, with the information currently available, it is likely that the EPA is seeking to financially back a combination of Democratic and Libertarian candidates in these elections.

When contacted by TGNA, noted academic, civil rights advocate and pan-Elloreanist, Isaac Hapford ³ commented that in his view:



“The group which purports to call themselves ‘Elloreans for Progressive Action’ is nothing but a cabal of well-connected Tergnitzian businessmen who wish to hijack the individual votes of Shazbotdom citizens through an avalanche of foreign funds. They do not have the Empire nor our region’s best interests at heart, but are rather driven by the simple desire to fatten their personal bank accounts and profit margins.
