It's crunch time in Stormont, since without a deal today a new power sharing agreement can't be arranged and the assembly will shut down. Since the DUP and SF hate each other's guts more than ever, this seems highly unlikely.

Though according to the government the deal with the DUP makes a power sharing agreement more likely... they don't say how though.

I realise 65p per person doesn't seem like much, but ask the OTHER public servants (nurses, doctors, police, firefighters etc) who DO NOT get an 8% pay rise this year, or ANY FUCKING YEAR, whether they would like to get such a raise worth even 5p per person in this country, then see what 65p per person is worth.

The stupid fucking lot of them (the Monarchy, not the rest of the public servants) should be deposed and made to do real fucking jobs. Or given a state pension and put out to pasture.

But giving them a £6m pay rise when they are cutting the pay of everyone else is just a fucking insult, and whoever decided to do this should be ashamed of themselves.

The Sovereign Grant, which pays for the salaries of her household, official travel and upkeep of palaces, is to increase by more than £6m in 2018/19.

The Sovereign Grant comes out of public, tax-payer funded money. If you can explain to me how that means WE (the British tax payers) are not paying for this dotty old witch of a woman to live a life style of luxury and decadence while we literally have people starving on the streets and burning to death in substandard housing, go ahead.

It should also be noted we gave this feckless wench £370m to do up her houses last year as well. No wonder the government can't afford to raise the public sector pay!!
