At the absolute simplest, a shoulder arch with 'Excalibur Squadron' on it, and maybe have something akin to the SBS cap badge beneath it rather than the soaring Eagle thing - a sword superimposed over two blue waves to indicate that it's coming out of the water.

Like this, with the uniform in general probably looking something akin to this.

Would we replace the RAF eagle with it, or would we wear it lower on the sleeve like the CO badge that the corporal in battledress is wearing?

Ok, decided not to go with the Spanish Civil War for Patrick.

Instead I went for a second stint with the RAF's armoured car companies during the 1936-39 Arab revolt in Palestine before a brief conversion to the Hawker Hurricane just before the outbreak of WW2.

In addition to the OP, I'm also working on a nifty new little feature that I'm hoping can be a useful adjunct to the RP. I'm calling it "The Excalibur Files", and they'll be formatted as relevant little intelligence summaries about the people, units, vehicles, and other historical worldbuildy stuff we run into in the course of our operations. I've already got 8-10 ready to go for GRYPHON!

Fun fact: the cocktail that Steve mentions during the Ping Island raid (the "rum cannonball") is apparently entirely fictional and was invented for the movie, but there's a whole bunch of recipes online where people try and guess at how you would make one. They all sound dangerously tasty.
