Bio: Elika was born in Selverde City where both of her parents worked as researchers. It was a happy family up till Elika's mother fell ill. Elika started to take care of her mother while her father worked around the clock to make ends meet. As a result Elika missed a lot of school and had to grow up relatively fast compared to the other children.
A few weeks after Elika's 10th birthday her mother passed away in her sleep. Both Elika as her father had a difficult time dealing with that, and to make things worse her father lost his job duo to "poor performance". It were a difficult few months as her father desperately searched for a job to make sure he and Elika could make a living, and when her father finally found a job, Elika had to move out and live with her grandparents as her father could be away for days at a time. At first it was difficult to handle, not only would she be separated from her father but she would also have to move to Novela Town, a small community deep in the Jungle and far from any civilization. As time passed she grew used to living in the Jungle and the people of Novela Town turned out to be quite friendly and nice. Elika's father also bought a house there though he only came to visit once a month at most.
At Elika's 14th birthday her father showed up to celebrate and brought Elika a gift. It was a Pokémon egg, ready to hatch in a couple of months. Elika's father told her that he got it from a friend and that he didn't know himself what would be in it. Elika promised to take care of the Pokémon, no matter what kind of Pokémon it was. A couple of days later a police officer arrived at the house of Elika's grandparents, informing them and Elika that her father had been arrested. It appeared that he had been working with a criminal organization. For a moment Elika worried about her egg, fearing she might lose it. Luckily though her grandparents told the police that they gave her the egg and that they had found it in the Jungle.
With both of her parents gone all Elika had left of them was her egg, of which she took care as if it was her mother so many years ago. On one day Elika woke up to notice a crack in the egg. She screamed for her grandparents who quickly rushed in to see the Pokémon hatch. It was by far the best day of Elika's life so far as she felt like she regained some of her family. The hatchling turned out to be a Scyther, a Pokémon of which Elika and her grandparents knew little to nothing about.
Elika quickly developed a bond with Scyther, who she had named Nima. It didn't took long for Nima to have the courage to leave Elika's bedroom and soon he followed her around everywhere. The two did everything together, from sleeping to eating, and even playing as Elika could prove through the many scars on her legs.
Almost a year after Nima's birth a stranger came by who noticed Elika and Nima gathering food on the edge of Novela Town. The stranger was an older man who told that he had travelled around the region to promote teenagers to take on the adventure of becoming a Pokémon trainer. For some time Elika talked with the man and that same night Elika's grandparents confirmed to her that it was indeed something real. Even though life wasn't bad at Novela Town, Elika knew there was much more to see out there, especially her old home at Selverde City. With the consent of her grandparents Elika and Nima were determined to start their journey as soon as possible.

Personality: Elika is a calm and caring person and even though she has a rough past, she remains cheerful and optimistic. She's honest and quickly opens up to other people when she gets to know them. In turn she does have her moments where she loses faith and at such times she often retreats herself from the outside world, though this hasn't happened much in the last years thanks to Nima.

Yet IT chose to follow them... All the way to Droghed town... As it turned out, the Baulder had been orphaned recently and it saw Hideki and his family as a caring group (well not really saw but sensed since it's eyes are closed). It had chosen them to be it's family, and it was not going to take no for an answer.

And then things get more interesting from there, as 6 years later he'd become the assistant to the Anglion Region's Pokémon Professor and then a year after that he'd be sent on a mission/holiday to research Maderian Pokémon.
Personality: Hideki is an all-around nice guy, but will tell the hard and honest truth and can be quite serious.

There hasn't been a major evil team in the region until now. He can still be a criminal, though, steeling pokémon and whatnot. He could be a part of the early Team Shade that isn't known about yet. In that case, he would've been arrested for for being in a riot or something similar

Could it perhaps be that for example Team Rocket or something tried to get in the region but that it got rolled up by police before they could get any real foothold? Like Elika's father and a couple of others were the only ones working for them in the entire region (possibly it wasn't even known there was an evil team behind it).
