President-Emperor Franz Amery is a ruthless, ambitious sociopath-turned-secret agent-turned-terrorist-turned-president. Belong to the Celtic minority, growing up impoverished and repeatedly metaphorically kicked in the nuts as each of his family died in increasingly ironic ways. Though highly somewhat intelligent and cunning he often acts lighthearted and rarely takes any situation seriously. He took power after New Totzka placed under martial law following the gross incompetence of his predecessor. His authoritarian reign has been characterised by rampant corruption and cronyism. Not particularly liked within Totzka, not that liked outside of Totzka.

Diomedes Romanov Pepper “D R”: Youngest kid in the Pepper Family and the only son his parents had because he was the youngest his sisters wrestled and picked on him a lot and so by playing with his older sisters he became very strong and smart. Unlike his sisters D R did not obtain a Master’s degree he only settled on a BA in History of which he was very fond of. D R worked for his father and mother in their companies as a historian as well as working for his sister Gal in her company doing the same thing. Working for his father, mother, and sister D R made roughly $10.6 billion in salary. He then joined the military where he rose in the ranks to become the youngest general in history upon learning he was still receiving a paycheck from his family the military court marshalled him but he was found not guilty because his mother and father both sent their best lawyers to protect him. For this misdeed he gathered several military officers and military regulars and plotted a coup on the weak central government which was run by old politicians with no soul. The coup was successful and D R was installed as the new leader of the country of which he turned into a gargantuan military dictatorship. His fellow conspirators pooled their money and stole some money from the government to pay D R off to get him in on the scheme of which wasn’t going good before D R arrived. He joined the coup plot and organized it in a way that it would overpower the government forces. D R took a $6.6 billion pay out, from his fellow conspirators to act like he had nothing to do with his appointment as the new leader of the country. With the Chiefs rise to power he bought out his sisters, and parents competitors and broke them apart earning a nice $10 billion paycheck.

The foremost political leader of Mitteleuropa (although he is not the only one after the Decentralization) is the German President - Daniel, Prince of Wartenburg, or just Daniel von Wartenburg.

Though a 'von' exists in his name, Wartenburg was actually born in a rather poor proletarian family in East Germany in 1990. After the 1992 War of Reunification, his family went to newly-reconquered East Prussia as part of the large force of volunteer colonists, since at that time those regions were places of much opportunity. The big break for the family did not come and for 14 years the Wartenburgs did not live that well, although one cannot say it was horrible.
At the age of 16, Daniel von Wartenburg picked up street racing, which had become quite widespread in Königsberg. He was surprisingly good at it, and was soon able to make loads of money from the illegal sport. This would be the future President's primary occupation for 8 years. In 2014, von Wartenburg was conscripted into the German Heer at the outbreak of the war with the Soviet Union. As one of the first on the front lines, he quickly gained fighting experience and before long became known as the most ruthless and skilled soldier of Germany. In the three years that he served, he managed to kill almost 500 Soviet soldiers.
After being wounded in the right arm, Daniel retired a hero and went to university to study law. When Mitteleuropa appeared as a nation, he was elected to the Reichstag in 2022, then as the Minister-President of East Prussia in 2027, and finally as President during the 2037 Western European War. He led the country through these tough times. In 2044, Wartenburg de-centralized Mitteleuropa and became German President instead.

President von Wartenburg is a very jovial and extroverted individual, perhaps disturbingly so for a war veteran. While he does put work before pleasure, he will never miss out on an opportunity to have a laugh, especially at other politicans' expense. He always appears in a military uniform complete with Pickelhaube and takes great pride in his mustache. He has a cybernetic right hand after losing his real one to a terrorist attack which also killed the first Kaiser of Mitteleuropa. Wartenburg also has a habit of drinking beer by the liter and smoking his large, exaggerated pipe. He does not do other drugs. As for policies, Wartenburg is a national-liberal: He supports his country's strong position in the world and seeks to increase its influence all while extending the personal and economic freedoms of Mitteleuropean citizens.

Michelle Gyung is the second female to be appointed as Governor of Zhongdao. She is also the third native Zhongdanese to be appointed to the post. Governor Gyung was born to a Chinese father and a half Chinese, half Jeltronian mother. She received her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Zhongdao and pursued her Master of Laws at the prestigious Leer Ravier University in Jeltronia on scholarship. She was the youngest member of the Legislative Council for the 2009-2013 session, having won the seat for the Yao Kok West constituency. After her first term, she was appointed by Governor Mei Yi Kwan/Governor Kwan as Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture and served from 2013-2016. Following a vacancy in a governor appointed seat, she returned to the Legislative Council in 2016 through a gubernatorial appointment recommended by the Jeltronian Government, serving in the body until she was named as the governor in 2017, replacing Governor Kwan. Governor Gyung is a peacemaker by nature. She intuitively knows what people want, or feel, and as such, she can be extremely diplomatic and tactful. These traits helped her becomes successful as Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture. The governor is also known to be patient and cooperative has a way of creating harmony among diverse opinions. She enjoys music and poetry.
