2017
The Tyranvision Song Contest, first organised in the 1950s by the Tyran Broadcasting Union (TBU), is the most famous international musical competition in Tyran. It aims to be an outlet for each nation's musical tastes, whether they be popular or niche.
The rules are simple:
- Each country may submit one entry. The method by which they choose said entry is determined by them.
- The sign-up phase will last a week. All entries must be signed-up by 8 June.
- Songs must be performed live. No backing tracks are allowed.
- Songs can not be longer than 5 minutes.
- Songs can be real songs, or made-up lyrics added to a real melody. The real artists will be listed in the sign-up sheet.
- All songs will be performed "live" as part of the Tyranvision. The contest will also last a week, and performance posts should be submitted by 22 June.
- On 29 June, voting will take place. Each nation will rank the entries from 10 points (maximum) to 1 point (minimum). Nations can't vote for their own entries.
