The Raiding Hall of Fame serves to preserve the history of raiding, which also celebrating the greatest contributors to raiding in NationStates. The Hall of Fame began in 2015 as part of RaiderCon and inducts new members each year with the help of judges. The newest class is announced annually at the end of RaiderCon in July. Being selected to the Raiding Hall of Fame is an honor bestowed to only the best raiding gameplayers in history. Below are the current members of this elite institution:
2015 Class:
Evil Wolf: EW showed that pure raiders could be more that just players who raid. The second founder of LWU, EW has been one of raiding's leaders with raids including Lazarus and Anarchy, helped destroy Nazi Europe, and has served as delegate of TNP among other leadership positions. EW's political and strategic efforts has set him apart for years.
General Franks: Franks, a former DEN Field Marshal, was a raiding giant during his time who greatly influenced modern raiding. DEN's lasting reputation, in large part, is due to his efforts of bringing stealth raiding, and a visionary mind, to the group. He started The Jolly Rodger, a raiding group that solely focused on Update Raiding (something unheard of at the time). In addition, he created The Den, Ile de France, and The Old Raiding Club. As one judge commented, "He was universally loathed by defenders, and feared by natives and gameplayers alike."
*Gest was removed from the Hall of Fame on June 12, 2018. Formal announcement can be found here: viewtopic.php?p=34186620#p34186620
Of crazed: OC has been a bridge for many modern raiders of the past. He has had many impressive feats as a former Field Marshal of DEN including helping to lead the raid of The Rejected Realms with Taijitu, the Novus Orsa raid, and serving as the sleeper in the Catholic raid in 2012. OC has shown raiders time and time again how to be an outstanding, whole gameplayer.
Onderkelkia: As a player, Onder has greatly contributed to raiding over many years through the cooperation of several imperialist groups with raiders. He has led several large raids over the years including the 2012 raid of Belgium, which led to the raid of TRR, the first time a operation was used to overtake the sinker. Onder is a exceptional representation of a gameplayer who does not need to be a raider to positively impact raiding.
Red Back: Without the incredible efforts of RB, The Black Hawks would not exist today. He was the second founder of TBH and has served as the Commander for nearly a decade. He has contributed to several notable raids include Forest many years ago that reignited TBH, and most recently, serving as the sleeper for the raids of Hippiedom and Hell. RB is respected by all players and represents a role model all raiders should look up to.
Savaer: He was a powerhouse in raiding and for Unknown, serving in several leadership positions. He helped keep pure raiding alive during the post-NS2 era when nearly all raiding organizations were inactive. He contributed to several large scale raids including organizing or helping other Incognitan officers organize successful hits against major historical defender regions including Anticapitalist Alliance, Allied States of Euroislanders, and The Proletariat Coalition.
2016 Class:
Crushing Our Enemies: COE has served raiding as a member of The Black Hawks for over a decade. During his time with TBH, he had served in countless leadership roles including Head of Military, Head of Foreign Affairs, and second Commander. Throughout his career, COE has always displayed integrity, which has progressed raiding overall. His leadership during the Predator incident and overall has set a standard for all raiders for years to come.
North East Somerset: NES has set a standard for being a raiding advocate behind the scenes and in the spotlight. For over a decade, his tireless work in many capacities has furthered raiding exponentially. Since being a member of the DEN and co-founding The New DEN, his work has focused on intelligence, diplomatic relations, and GCRs. Through Great Britain and Ireland, The New Inquisition, and The Land of Kings and Emperors, NES has ensured strong relations between raiders and imperialists. He helped raiding become a part of so many regions that do not identity as raider as well as GCRs. NES also organized two Future of Raiding Conferences that was attended by most raiding organizations. Even in modern times, his work in intelligence, understanding influence, and passwords has benefited raiding tremendously.
Scardino: Scardino founded Lone Wolves United in April 2005, which has grown to become one of the most recognized raiding organization in NationStates history. Through LWU and on his own, relations were developed with most GCRs where Scar served as a voice and advocate for raiders. Scardino brought discipline and ideals to strive for through his writings including “Of Scardinoism.” His focus has always been the big picture of raiding and its impact. His influence over the years has helped raiders be seen as a valuable member of the GP community.
Shadow: Shadow started raiding in 2004 before joining Children of the Grave, a historic raiding group, as one of their original staff members. Through Children of the Grave, Shadow helped execute the 12 Raids of Christmas as well as the first all girl raid of East Asian Dominion in April of 2006. Recently, Shadow has continued to serve raiding in multiple organizations through her infiltration and sleeping. Her leadership in raiding has largely been behind the scenes, but she continues to influence many raiders today.
The Heights: Originally part of A Better Colonial Ambition, The Heights was part of the merge that became The Invaders, a historical raiding organization. During his time, The Heights served as a leader in strengthening unity among raiders during the early years. In 2004, The Heights co-hosted the Global Summit on Raiderplay and Defensive Operations. This summit was a gathering of raiders and defenders to “achieve a binding consensus agreement on the issues of raiderplay rules and practice, comity and cordiality between defender and raider organizations, the self-liberation of acquired regions and the development of raider colonies.” His professionalism as a player has set a standard for raiders today to follow.
2017 Class:
Belgium Fighters: As a former DEN Field Marshal, Belgium Fighters, played a major role in revitalizing the raiding organization after defender infiltration in its leadership. Furthermore, he contributed significantly to the foundations of The New Inquisition’s military in 2008-2009. Through his efforts in creating training materials and developing procedures, The New Inquisition Armed Forces (TNIAF) and later The United Imperial Armed Forces (UIAF) became professional military organizations that contributed to raiding for years.
General Powell: General Powell founded DEN, one of the most recognized raiding organization in NS history. He also laid the foundations for several aspects of raiding culture. He coined the phrase, “fenda,” which is often used to reference defenders. He advocated for the use of “raider” rather than “invader.” Additionally, through many of his efforts including the 2004 NationStates Global Summit on Raiderplay and Defensive Operations, an event in which he co-host and organized, General Powell played an instrumental role in helping to legitimize raiding among the eyes of others.
Nevadar: Gatesville was regarded as one of the most influential regions in NS for years, and this was largely due to Nevadar. She was a master of old raider methods like manipulation and networking, which became vital in her involvement of several feeder operations over the years. Most recently, her tactics were on full display during the 2013 coup of Osiris. Her leadership behind the scenes led to accomplishments that all raiders would revere.
Tramiar: Tramiar was involved in The Blades of Conquest and later, The Black Hawks during a decade-long raiding career. During a time when all region recruitment was done manually, she was a model of persistence with thousands upon thousands of telegrams sent over years. Furthermore, Tramiar played during a time in which there was not much interaction between raiders and other players, especially defenders. She played a fairly unique social game of genuine interaction with others outside of raiding, which showed raiders in a more positive light and is seen far more far today.
2018 Class:
Ditzie Freaks: She was a member of Lone Wolves United (joining in 2005) and served to build the organization into what it is still known for today. While she often was under the radar, her skills in training new players and developing raiding abilities ensured that her influence would be felt for years. Ditzie also participated in the first all girl raid of East Asian Dominion in April of 2006.
Domination6: One of the co-founders of the original incarnation of The Invaders, Domination6 was a leader and a diplomat in the raider community. He was able to form close relations with other raiding organizations, playing an instrumental role in maintaining unity and continued collaboration amongst raiders. He also was a force in counter-intelligence providing databases of known defenders and knowing when spies were around. In a time where the word "raider" was an insult, Domination6's character drew respect from all factions, helping to improve the standing of raiders and erode the basis for the moral posturing of defenders.
*Jakker was removed from the Hall of Fame on March 6, 2022, for out-of-game misconduct. There was no formal announcement.
2019 Class:
1 Infinite Loop: Loop was the founder of The Farkers, one of the first organized raiding groups in NationStates. The raids of The Farkers were foundational in developing tactics of raiding as it exists today. Furthermore, their large-scale raid of The Heartland and antagonizing practices largely influenced the adversarial dynamic of raiding and defending.
Killerkatz a.k.a. Shell: The founder of Catlandatopia, an efficient and effective raiding organization that peaked from 2006-2009. Killerkatz led and coordinated several raids including Feudal Japan, Florida, Brotherhood, India, Hethrum, and North Pacific. She was also heavily involved in the invasions of San Francisco Bay Area, a noteworthy defender region, and Marxist Leninist Party. Killerkatz ensured that their region remained the bane of defenders' existence while in operation, and through her tenacity she was widely regarded as a top notch raider commander.
Reventus Koth: Koth co-founded The Brotherhood of Malice, a raiding organization that helped forge the identity of Osiris, a Game Created Region, as raider. Later in his career, Koth rose to a General within The Black Hawks and was instrumental in building connections between the raiding and role-playing communities. He spearheaded a push to make raiding more acceptable to unaffiliated nations and inspired notable roleplayers to join raiding organizations.
Free Noldor States: Noldor played an integral role in two of the most well-known raiding organizations in history: DEN and The Black Hawks. He served as the DEN Field Marshal and helped transition the organization to modern raiding. He was also a General in The Black Hawks that helped to integrate new members. Noldor was an excellent advocate for raiding unity. Through his leadership and mentorship, newer raiders were able to carry older raiding practices forward.
Sorenity2: Sor was a former General of The Black Hawks, and was one of only 3 players ever to hold the title of TBH Commander-in-Chief. He played a pivotal role alongside Red Back in refounding TBH. As The Black Hawks’ Minister of Foreign Affairs and Head of Special Operations, he was involved in countless intelligence operations including the infiltration of The North Pacific using the alias "Galapagos Isle,"where he rose to the position of Minister of Defense.
2020 Class:
Mallorea and Riva: As a member of The Black Hawks and DEN from 2012 to 2014, Mall was a master opportunist through their involvement in multiple high-profile raids, the 2013 coup of The South Pacific, and the attempted Liberation of Haven. He also helped uncover a better mathematical understanding of influence for raiders. In addition to (and in spite of) these endeavors, he became the first raider moderator on the site and showed that one can play the villain well with integrity.
Nusseburg: The Atlantic Alliance, one of the earliest imperialist groups in NS history, was co-founded by Nusseburg in 2003. Nusseburg served as a commander for the Atlantic Central Command for multiple months in the organization's inception. While it is not possible to fully know of Nusseburg's accomplishments, they serve as a symbol for an organization that was involved in several raids of GCRs and helped build a foundation for many modern raiding tactics like ejecting natives, occupying regions, and invading multiple regions in an update.
Todd McCloud: As the founder of Fox Rite, Todd was involved in several raids from 2007 to 2009 on regions such as San Francisco Bay Area, a prominent defender region. He has served as a raiding advocate in multiple ways through his support of R/D in the game, and the benefits of chaos and conflict in gameplay. Todd has helped to show that someone can be trusted in GCRs and benefit those communities even if they have been a raider in the past.
