After being issued a statement by the Themisi Foreign Affairs Minister regarding the cleanse of traitors and rebels in Kavash and Bokan, Emperor-Warlord Jericho III felt exceeding disgust in the way Themis "... has the nerve to dare meddle in the affairs of our nation, to which we are perfectly capable and qualified to settle our own disputes."

"To clarify to our neighbors... We are handling the situation in a perfectly reasonable and professional manner. Any and all accounts of barbarism or killing of innocents are false, or exaggerated to fit a political anti-Potthan agenda." said Legate of Foreign Affairs, Verat Jujalarim. "After reporting a success in Kavash so far, we've established a form of peace in the city with the removal of rebels, their supporters, and those that have rushed to their aid." stated also by the Legate of Foreign Affairs. The volatile situation between Themis and Potthan, as of this moment, leads to a depressing end.

With this in mind, Emperor-Warlord Jericho III stated "If Themis were to respond with drastic measures, then we'd have to teach them not to do so in the future.". Reports of Potthanese Legionnaires being dispatched to defend the Potthani border have been confirmed, as well as an evacuation of citizens in nearby villages.

However the people of Themis may respond, they've been warned by the people of Potthan not to interpreter in "...affairs they do not know about." as quoted by Legate of Defense, Moga Naruum.

Ebonaervon, Itailia(Herald) — In an surprisingly crowded day-time session of the Senate, one of the few before the group breaks for it's Summer vacation held for the upcoming solstice, Senator Mamercus Calpurnius Metellus, a member of the ruling Dio Coalition for the last eleven years and representative of the Telsarius region, which includes a number of small yet well woven together local communities, voiced a large concern, and issued a formal statement towards the head of state of Potthan, an Emperor Jericho III.

According to Senator Metellus, who in his capacity as a Senator also serves as a leading member on the Tribunal for Foreign Relations and Barbarian Affairs, both he and the Tribunal were able to obtain copies of a Themis intelligence brief, once that was referenced and used as evidence in the Themis media a few days ago when the Themis Foreign Minister launched a formal accusation towards Emperor Jericho III, concerning the apparent massacre of thousands of civilians in the city of Kavash, and an untold number more in the city of Bokan. The violence was committed by Potthani regular army forces in line with that government's recent mandate of a mandatory membership in Christianity across their nation; a move met with increasing skepticism and alarm, both here and aboard in Dienstad. The Empire here itself has a number of faiths, and just recently managed to cool tensions between hardline Catholic and pagan elements in recent years and many in our society would highly disapprove of these actions, Senator Metellus included.

With the copy of the intelligence brief in his hands, as well as supplemental info provided to him by the Imperial government and it's intelligence gathering agencies, Senator Metellus declared that "this massacre is nothing short of a pure raw hate, anger, and a absolutely disgusting action of barbarianism. The civilians in these cities were cut down brutally as they went throughout their normal lives all because of their refusal, or even perhaps for going along, with the Potthani's recent ridiculous decree that all citizens must be Christian. The fact that reports from the ground indicate they are also purging people based on their political ideology reads like a horror scene from a Germanic campaign from the east; not like the type of behavior I would expect so close to our shores. The Emperor must reign in his people and repay those who survived these horrific atrocity, and take steps to punish the perpetrators of it as well to ensure that it never happens again, or additional steps from either us, or the community across the region may be required."

The statement was particularly strongly worded for the Senator who is typically candid yet calm in his discussions on the floor, in fact it's the type of statement we'd more attribute to the ranking Senator on the Tribunal, Aulus Genucius Pictor, whose fiery rhetoric has been something of a staple and entertainment on both the Tribunal sessions, and for the last thirteen years he's been a Senator. The Foreign Affairs Magister, Caius Valerius Aquila, issued a brief statement from within his personal office in support of Senator Metellus's comments, stating that "horrific actions taken for no reason, or simply because a person dared to be bold, and different, is perhaps one of the worst crimes a human being can commit against another individual", and then went on to say that he was consulting with Consul Caius on the issue as well. Political pundits and analysts will be curious to see how the Archon handles the potential partnership with Themis, and this budding situation in of it's self, after the apparent blunder earlier this month when he fired Treasury Secretary Kaeso Fabricius Pansa after the disgraced ITO Director Philo implicated the Secretary in being complicit and even in charge of his crimes during an in-court testimony; the Archon fired the Secretary just under nineteen hours after the testimony, however Justicar officials on the investigation later disproved the Director's testimony and even provided "bulletproof" evidence of Mr. Pansa's innocence, however the damage was already done; opposition Senators have been lampooning the Archon both on the Senate and in the media all week, so this perhaps is a chance for Gaius to recover from this

Konstantinopel, Deutsche Scythia- The ORPO or Order Police in cooperation with the Counter Terrorism Division of the Reich Security Service Agency have began a major crackdown on terrorism within Deutsche Scythia. This region of the Greater Fourth Reich has been a known trouble spot for years and with a rise in violence and tensions in the region between confirmed terrorist elements of the population and have been known to incite unrest and terror among the population of the region which has recently seen a calming of tension in recent years. These violent agitators in the past have caused civil unrest and have even attempted armed insurrections against Deutsche Scythia and the Greater Fourth Reich. Reich Protektor of Deutsche Scythia Mafred Waldhauser who has held the governing title for over 15 years has said, "Deutsche Scythia must be quelled of these agitators and terrorists, only then will the Scythian people be able to live in peace in the Reich." The operation which was carried out by the ORPOs 'Quick Response Force' and the Counter Terrorism Division of the Reich Security Service Agency were able to apprehend hundreds in mere hours as previous intelligence efforts to identify supporters and members of these terrorists were quickly found.

The operation is still under way and is said to reel in more terrorist elements of Scythian society and have them face justice soon. The Deutsche Reichswehr which are the military apparatus that ensure peace and the protection of Deutsche Scythia from foreign and or domestic attacks were put on a ready status in case tensions flared due to the on-going operation. However at this time, no attacks were reported so far. For those who are arrested by the ORPO and RSSA, they are likely to face judicial reprimand and face execution for conspiracy to commit terrorism, being a alleged member of a terrorist organization, and treason for there crimes.

Though Potthani nationals aren't very fond of any foreigners, there is one particular nation that is slowly gaining the respect and admissibility of citizens across the sands. The United World Order, a nation lead bu Fuhrer Oswald Grossmann, is the nation under the political microscope of many citizens today. From young folk to tribal elders, the achievements of the UWO have brought Fuhrer Grossmann into the hearts and minds of millions.

Known infamously as the "Fourth Reich" by all, their astonishing return to National Socialism and despite losing multiple wars, they've stayed focused successful. This, added onto the fact they fight the same fight as Potthan: The elimination of Communists. They are the ones responsible for the ceased continuation and spread of Communism in the RSU.

The people there are similar to Potthanis, in the regard they are hyper-conservative and follow traditions. This may also be a key factor in the up and coming alliance with UWO. Though we are different physically, we have the same mentality and goals in mind. The success and prosper of our nations, the elimination of Communism, and the protection of tradition. With this, the Fuhrer has been personally invited to the Golden Palace in Agadesh to discuss economic exchanges and forming an anti-Communist pact. Furthermore, the Fuhrer has been awarded the Golden Phoenix and Crimson Star for his achievements.

WRDC to Import Dienstadi Waste

Tyrralia, Themis - Ahead of the opening of the new Tyrralias Waste Station 2, the WRDC have annouced they have signed contracts to import waste from across Dienstad to feed growing demand.

The Waste Reclaimation and Disposal Corporation (WRDC), a public-private partnership, have been considered a success story in the buoyant waste industry. Founded as a government company that was later part-privatised, the corporation uses the latest in technology to reclaim and recycle the Themisi waste stream, generating profit through the resale of refurbishable goods, reclaimed materials, and electrical load from incinerators. In the ten years since the first Regional Waste Centre was opened by the government, the corporation has driven home a profit every financial quarter, re-investing funds in expansion of infrastructure. Nationally, recycling of waste stands at a record high of 87%, with the majority of remaining waste incinerated.

Over the past two years, with capacity outstripping supply given an unexpected reduction in household and corporate waste, the company has had to innovate. This has seen additional capacity devoted to dealing with previously 'unsalvagable materials', such as extracting heavy metals and more toxic chemical compounds from hazardous waste. At some sites operated by the WRDC, legacy landfill sites have been reopened or re-evaluated, with so-called 'waste mining' looking to extract valuable metallic, glass, plastic and electronic waste from such locations.

This has lead to a three month period of consultations with Dienstadi organisations, looking at importing waste. A deal struck with authorities in the Ordenite Reich will see initial deliveries of up to 2 million tonnes of industrial waste per year, a small proportion of the estimated 400 million tonnes of industrial and commercial waste generated in country. The deal is significant politically, agreed on amicable terms with only the costs of shipping being paid for by the Ordernite government; after all, this is the first major deal struck between a Themisi public body and the Ordenite state, a political pariah in the minds of many left-liberal Senators. Indeed, political opposition was noted on the record by Senators of the PUP and Liberal Parties, though the government is unlikely to intervene in a move that will generate significant revenue for the state.

A further deal was revealed on the same day, that up to 5 million tonnes of pre-sorted commercial and domestic waste from the Golden Throne Satrapy of Pezlevko-Rubino. An island city-state with little to no room left, the deal was seen as a welcome relief for the overcrowded, but prosperous territory. Whilst no details of the deal have yet been revealed, it is thought that a fee of 5% wastestream profits will be paid back to the Satrapy as a gesture of goodwill, in exchange for pre-sorting of recyclable waste.

The WRDC is not a company without controversy. Tyrralias Waste Station 1, the former recycling/incineration station opened ten years ago on the other side of the River Segay, has endured a series of scandals related to its employment of prison and welfare labour. In the former instance, it was found that some prison labourers were worked for longer hours than dictated by the sentencing judges, up to 16 hours in a day, with exhaustion in one case leading to the serious injury of a convict worker. In another instance, a convict was found to have smuggled a knife back to the nearby Category B Prison, with the intent of using it on a Custodial and Corrections Service Guard. Amongst workers employed as part of the Welfare contract, line managers were found to be routinely denying training and interview posts to job-seekers, a decision that saw a number of managers sacked and the company fined.

Despite this, the WRDC is still forging ahead, with plans to open a total of 24 waste stations across the country. Recent technology developed alongside the Asteria Institute of Technology, trialled at one facility, seeks to reclaim 95% of heavy metal compounds from incinerator smoke, reducing the impact of incineration yet further, and opening the possibility of sites being developed closer to urban zones. And carbon sequestration technology may be trialled at the new station in Tyrralias, a national first that may see Themis become the first major carbon-neutral nation within Dienstad.

The company has also expanded its waste reclaimation operations, identifying goods and equipment still viable, and either reselling them to refurbishment companies, or refurbishing them themselves. A number of these goods, safety tested to Themisi standards, have found themselves on the international markets. This is a move that is likely to provoke international manufacturing conglomerates and their host governments, with trade barriers likely to remain to prevent the undercutting of domestic markets.

With ongoing profits forecast for the WRDC and the companies doing business, one man's trash is indeed another's treasure.

Asteria, Themis - An Assembly Member has found controversy by describing the Themisi government's policies in the Three Territories as 'worse than Ordernite'.

Prefect Iakotonos, the Liberal Prefect for Polis Stylla Prefecture, drew condemnation from the opposition and praise from his own Liberal party, during the heated debate on Friday. Whilst discussing a Senate motion to increase powers to Territorial Governors, the Prefect went against the coalition line by launching a tirade at President Magnus' continuation of colonial rule. In it, he likened the current powers of governers as '...an excuse to exercise dictatorial rule and ethnic suppression in a manner that is worse than the suppression of dissent in Deutsche Scythia, and more insidious even than the Berlina Race Laws.'

The Prefect soon drew a response from the Christian Democrat Prefect for Leripol, who '...whilst recognising and opposing an increase in powers', found it '...indefensible that government policy should be likened to the total suppression of personal freedom seen in the Ordenite Periphery', and recognised '...the moves by the current and previous government to provide some of the best health coverage in the world, and raise millions out of poverty.'

The bill would see Governors gain additional powers to deploy their territory's militia forces without central authorisation, and remove a central cap on the proportion of money spent on policing and defence. This move, petitioned for by the Governers after a string of terror attacks in Arboria and Arcadia by seperatist anarchists, has drawn criticism from across government and opposition parties, seen as going against the move towards full integration many had hoped.

Whilst the Themisi government maintains a policy of 'neutrality without comment' when it comes to the Ordenite state and its affairs, it is common knowledge that the majority in government personally condemn the historic genocidal actions of the Dienstadi state, alongside present day suppression of liberties, and massive military actions across the region. Only recently, an Ordenite-announced purge of terrorists in Deutsche Scythia drew condemnation from human rights activists Dienstad Watch, for '...the indiscriminate nature of the arrests, and 'show trials' acting only as a final humiliation before their state-sanctioned murder'. For now, the Ordenite state is likely to remain a pariah within the region.

Jesus Montana Indicted On Murder Charges

RITA ORA, Castille de Italia — Today, Rita Ora District Attorney Pamela Van Nuys announced that the Rita Ora Superior Court has charged Mokan-Castillian professional athlete Jesus Montana with the first-degree murder of ex-wife Jessica Thompsen-Montana, who he had been divorced from for two months. Thompsen-Montana was found dead at her apartment in the Rita Ora neighborhood of North Palms last Thursday, with multiple stab wounds and lacerations to the throat. Detective Dan Weyhler described the scene as a "bloodbath".

Montana initially was not a suspect in the death of Thompsen-Montana. The victim had been dead for about 2 hours prior to being discovered by police. Mitch Nielson, one of the first two officers on the scene, found pieces of bloody tattered clothing hanging from wrought-iron fencing, among other evidence.

According to Rita Ora Police Authority (ROPA) detectives, evidence from the crime scene did not lead to suggest Montana was a suspect, but when law enforcement officials went to inform Montana at his Hacienda del Sol estate, blood matching that of him and Thompsen-Montana was found on Montana's CVR 111 sportscar which was parked on the curb outside the gate of his estate in a "hurried fashion" to quote court documents.

Montana was not home when detectives went to inform Montana, however close friend and reality television star Jorge Caliente was watching the home and met with detectives. Caliente, who lives with Montana, had told detectives that Montana had left on a flight to Torrington that night. Upon searching the grounds of Montana's estate, Detective Weyhler found matching blood-soaked tattered clothing similar to that found at the crime scene on the wrought-iron fence. After lab testing, blood samples confirmed that the blood on the clothing matched that of Montana.

After preliminary hearings by prosecutors for charges against Montana, Judge Michael McCullen signed off on the indictment of Montana, early this afternoon. DA Van Nuys said in a press conference that "Montana has gone from being the next-of-kin notification in this case to the prime suspect. We the prosecution have reasonable evidence to believe that Montana had indeed murdered Jessica Thompsen-Montana on the night of May 4th, 2017."

Some have been quick to criticize the District Attorney's office for indicting Montana. Former National Criminal Investigations Service (NCIS) Special Agent Mark Bueller said that it was "unusual for detectives to notify the ex-husband of the deceased, especially since it was apparent that the deceased's ex-husband was such a prominent sports figure. Perhaps the detectives had a personal stake in notifying Montana."

Bueller suggested that the detectives had wanted to use the opportunity to meet Montana, who was known to throw pool parties for officers of the ROPA, and that normal notification protocols had been broken by going to notify Montana. "Furthermore, the evidence found at Hacienda del Sol should be deemed inadmissible in court, as detectives did not have a search warrant upon arriving to notify Montana," Bueller added.

Currently the whereabouts of Montana are unknown. It was confirmed that he returned to Rita Ora to meet with detectives the following day after the murder, but no word of his location has been given since. Montana has hired celebrity legal defense attorney Esteban Sanchez for consultation according to court records. It is unknown if Sanchez will be representing him for defense for the charges levied against Montana.

This morning, the Senate of Vocation voted 77-23 to legalize worker's unions for jobs. Something that was "... needed for a long time coming" as stated by Senator Jahan Mulat. "Not only does this protect the working class from abuse, but it can also crack down on economic corruption." said the Senator. Following the legalization of unions, as of noon today about 30 were formed officially nation-wide. "An impressive display like this shows the people of Potthan are thankful for this action." said State Officer Ezekiel Nagad.

Of course, CEOs have displayed their disapproval of the passage, however their concerns were turned down by the Senate and they've been issued warnings to abide by the law. Meanwhile workers across the nation feel at ease that their liberties have been secured. The dawn of a new day approaches the workforce and many people show their support for it. The Senate of Vocation has stated they plan on discussing further matters on the topic of workers rights and that this was a big step forward to their group.

"This is the first stride of many for workers here in Potthan" said a happy worker outside in Agadesh. A protected workforce means less stress for everyone and more productivity. Hopefully this isn't the last we hear of matters such as these, and as always the Imperial News Network will be there 24/7 to inform you.

This morning the Senate of Medicine and Health voted 56-44 for the Imperial Medical Association to recognize PTSD as a legitimate mental illness. The campaign for the reorganization was personally held by Emperor-Warlord Jericho III, who has served in the Potthani Civil War (1999-2004) and personally knows such horrors war can inflict on combatants on both sides. "...and boys and girls as young as 10 were sent out to fight and die in the name of the empire; their body parts flying in multiple directions as the artillery hits. On behalf of all veterans. I hereby knowledge their legitimate mental health concerns." said Emperor-Warlord Jericho III at the Agadeshi Colosseum. Within the first 3 hours over 50,000 men and women have checked into hospitals claiming they have this condition.

The opposing representative to the decree, Centurion Mamman Katjab, stated "These silly claims of PTSD are just a sign of natural selection. Some are not bred for war, and thus they should die in it. With all due respect my emperor, any claims of distress caused by battle are signs of inferiority rather mental illnesses.". Opposition to the law are usually similar in opinions, however many experts believe they oppose the law due to lack fo knowledge of this subject, or mere bigotry.

Whether or not people are happy, it is obvious that those who suffer from PTSD may feel comfort for the first time in a very long time. Researchers are also pleased to hear the passage of the law, so that they may bring forth progression of treatment not only to Potthan, but for Greater Dienstad. "The massive influx of treatment we've been having in the first 12 hours alone have provided much needed information that the Association has needed for a very long time." said Dr. Hashan Kaldayt.

As for any prediction of the future, nothing is certain. However, many theorize this is the start of a great collaboration of medical knowledge with other nations, as the Imperial government tries desperately to outreach to foreigners and get along in an international level.

Kanstantinopol, Deutsche Scythia - In the face of what has recently been looking like a rise in unrest in Deutsche Scythia, likely due to terrorist elements embedded in the population are once again out to agitate and cause wide spread terror throughout Deutche Scythia. In light of recent ORPO and Reich Security Service Agency counter terrorism operations which have taken hundreds of potential terrorist fighters out of the equation as they now face execution for their crimes. Despite this, the threat to stability in Deutsche Scythia is always present as Salama extremists continue to try and spread their religious zeal throughout Scythia and incite a possible uprising against the Greater Fourth Reich. The Deutsche Reichswehr are what stand between them and their horrendous goals and aspirations against the peoples community that have in recent decades have been adjusting new settlements into the region as more and more towns are built and populated Rusic and Caucasian settlers. This has been one of the points of tension as terrorists carry out night time attacks on newly populated towns and settlements. Half a year ago, a terrorist attack on a town killed 57 Rusic settlers in a car bomb at a busy market place which had been one of the most deadliest attacks in recent years. Known terrorist groups such as the 'Scythian Liberation Army' and the 'Free Scythian Army' are still receiving manpower from eager and backwards Scythians who believe in the terrorist cause and help spread terror through out the region.

The Deutsche Reichswehr which have defense duties across Scythia and even Caucasia have in recent times have been adapting into a peace keeping force to keep the two regional hot spots for unrest in check and prevent any sort of uprising and support of secessionist sympathizers. This level of readiness comes from a previous bloody insurrection perpetrated by the Scythian Liberation Army in which seven towns were seized by several hundred fighters who traversed a mountain nearby to evade ORPO units and Reichswehr forces from discovering them. This small army was poised to a sudden assault on the regional capital of Salem which all incursions were defeated before Reichswehr and Wehrmacht forces intervened and routed the SLA fighters and reestablished control in the area, this insurrection would come at a price of 39 ORPO officers who were some of the first respondents in most cases when encountering the SLA assault. What was not known about the mob was that several members of the SLA who were armed were mixed into the violent mob who had yet to have been dispersed. When the mob was in the midst of throwing objects and debris at the Deutsche Reichswehr soldiers who faced opposite to them, the armed members took it upon themselves to open fire in the middle of the crowd at the soldiers. The three men who were the first ones to open return fire quickly were able to kill one of the shooters while another one was heavily injured by return fire.

Currently the Deutsche Reichswehr in Scythia maintain control and assert freedom of movement operations in known trouble areas of Deutsche Scythia from over 43 minor and major base installations which are regularly manned and used. The Reichswehr in Scythia boast a force of over 2,000,042 combat personnel including logistics for the bases which they operate from. While the Reichswehr in Caucasia boast a total force of 900,567 combat personnel including logistics which also operate from bases established in the region. In recent news concerning Deutsche Scythia, infamous Scythian Liberation Army bomb maker known as the 'Desert Bomber' was executed by KZ 161 personnel after a short trial following his 15 year imprisonment for a IED explosion that exploded and took out a crowded bus in Salem.

Tensions rise in Kavash as local police and citizens take up arms against the Legion and the Holy Army. In an unsuccessful operation to purify northern Kavash from heretics, local police and armed citizens started firing on the crucifixion display and the soldiers there. However, with most divisions busy attacking rebels to the east, the Youth Phoenix Legion was deployed as there were no able bodied adults to assist the soldiers in peril. As barbaric these rebels were, they fired onto the youth with as much anger as they did adults. After several hours of fighting, the enemy forces retreated to the Kavashi Central Market and an airstrike was called in, where it was confirmed the remaining rebels were killed. As of now, all (estimated) 50 rebels have died and 238 Legionnaires have died, 87 of which were in the Youth Phoenix Legion.

Youth Decanus Azanaya Mashnaan (13 years old) stated, "We were cadets, but we recieve the same training and equipment as the adults. We're deployed as adults and we die as adults. Though, we are proud to die for Potthan and even prouder to kill for her.". Both the surviving youth soldiers and the ones that have died were gifted the Golden Phoenix for their service. Potthan mourns for her fallen brothers and sisters, but also rejoices in their service. May they find peace in Heaven.

Weapons found in Kavash warehouse

With the seizure of eastern Kavash, Legion troops have discovered a massive stockpile of weapons stored in a warehouse. "We're glad we found it, it was enough here to arm a small army." said Captain Zekav Nujar. It's not currently known how the weapons were obtained, though many of them are estimated to have been obtained here in Potthan thankfully. The majority of the weapons have been shipped to the Jujarlarim Fortress to be processed, cleaned, and equipped.

ANTIETAM, Castille de Italia — Secretary of State Michelle Mullen condemned the Kavash massacres and recent violence in Potthan yesterday in an open letter addressed to Emperor-Warlord Jericho III of the Potthani government, nearly a week after initial attacks and shootings began. In the letter, she stated that the government sponsored violence was "a blatant disregard for civility and international law, as well as a gross act of terrorism against innocent people."

While the Potthani government has yet to deliver a response to the Union's condemnation, the Castillian People's Government have been discussing on how to further take action against Potthan should the violence continue in the southern regions of the country. Premier Henry J. Adams has suggested that Parliament draft resolutions for economic sanctions against the Potthani state, while senior military leaders, most notably the Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Horatio Martin, have suggested military strikes against what Martin referred to as a "pariah state."

Parliamentarian and chair of the State Affairs Committee Mitch Heyman said that Martin's proposal was voted down in a special hearing with three of the committee members voting in favor of a military strike. "Fortunately, cooler heads have prevailed today," said Heyman in a press conference after the hearing. Had the Committee voted in favor, the proposal would have found its way to the Premier, who could either pass it to Parliament to vote upon as a whole, or use executive bypasses to authorize military action.

"I explained to Admiral Martin that while the violence and atrocities taking place in Potthan are despicable, that the Potthani state bears no threat to the Union as it is nearly a hundred thousand miles away," Heyman continued.

The Potthani Crisis also has been difficult for oil megaconglomerate CasGlobal, whose Chairman, Harry Dunston, stated that he intended to open negotiations with the Potthani government to expand Castillian drilling operations in the country. The Potthani government was initially open to the idea, but with recent Castillian government action against the Potthani state, that may change.

"I'll be honest with you, I'm really hoping there won't be any sanctions," Dunston said with a smile as he joked with CBS's Tara Mahar on Good Morning Antietam. "The whole situation right now really isn't good for business."

Before the Kavash massacres, it was widely reported that Premier Adams intended to send the Union's Trade Representative, Hirame Toshiyuki, to meet with Potthani commerce officials. "As the senior economic statesman in the Union, it would be a tremendous honor to negotiate a deal for Castillian investment in Potthani materials and goods. I believe it would be beneficial to not only the Union, but Potthan as well."

BREAKING UPDATE: MEJICAN PARLIAMENT RE-INTRODUCING BILL ON TATOM SEPARATION. PROTESTING MEMBERS WILL JOIN IN THE VOTE

For the last two weeks, Tatomese and allied Representatives in Mejican Parliament, nearly 60 total, have frozen all legislative progress until Tatom is granted independence. Backed heavily by the right wing Conservative and Liberators Party, they have promised to vote NO on every bill. Some have even begun to engage in a practice called ‘Filibustering’, which is continual discussion to intentionally delay a bill. At the Federal level, intentionally obstructive tactics such as Filibustering are banned, but that is not the case in every member nation.

These tactics have served to severely limit the actions the Liberal and other left leaning parties can take in regards to Mejican policies. Combined with protests across the Federation also calling for Tatom independence. It seems the biggest threat to Tatom independence is the Liberal Party. Given it was Liberal President Pablo Diego who originally Vetoed the Bill, and the Liberal Party who made a push to vote in favor of the Veto.

Mokan Political Experts claim the reason the Liberals are blocking Tatom independence is because it will increase the power of Conservative Party in the Federal Senate. Keeping the strongly Conservative Tatom region under a left wing government like Mejico limits the number of Conservatives Mejico and her territories send to the Senate.

However, this may be a case of losing the war for the sake of a battle, as Federal Senate has already conditionally approved Tatomese membership, and the Liberals are losing popularity across Mejico. At the moment, members of the People's Party are attempting to reintroduce the separation bill to reintroduce the Succession question and unfreeze Parliament.

Arrest made, evidence seized, two more suspects on the run

Agents from the Department of National Investigations stormed the apartment of a, Jin Kato, a Tanueien male in his late 20s, after a tip suggested his in involvement. Once inside they found numerous items used in bomb making equipment and a manifesto taking credit for the attack in Osaka. Jin has been arrested and is currently in Federal custody. The Queen has issued a statement thanking the Federal Agents for a successful arrest and to remind her subjects that Terrorism and murder will not be tolerated in Aqua Anu.

As of now, Federal authorities believe that Jin launched the attack against Soma race Tower aided by two friends, Hattori Michinori and Seto Kosaku. Authorities checked their homes but could not find any trace of them. It is believed the two are now on the run.

Authorities do not believe they are connected to a larger Terrorist organization, but they have not ruled out that possiblity.

TUKTAR'S FUTURE GOES TO THE VOTE

TUKTAR:- In a joint statement released today by the Commonwealth of Morrdh and the Tuktar Provisional Government, a referendum will be held to determine the city's future.

It is understood that the question asked in the referendum will be 'What should Tuktar be part of?' with voters having the choice of either Kashubia, Zvezda or the Commonwealth. The three choices are considered fair since the people of Tuktar have technically experienced life under all three nations. Though Her Excellency's Government has stated if Tuktar votes to become part of the Commonwealth changes will be made, chief amongst them includes imposing Commonwealth laws and reorganizing various city functions along Commonwealth lines. Additionally, Her Excellency's Government has confirmed that it will NOT be taking part in the election campaign in the run up to the referendum and that it has asked the Free Republic of Lamoni and the Protectorate of Lyras to administor and monitor the referendum.

With seemingly a disiniterest expressed by the Commonwealth towards Tuktar the referendum looks set to be a fierce fight between Kashubia and Zvezda to influence the city's citizens.

A recent spike in tension in the area has led to the convergence of militias from either side of the two countries who are still licking their wounds from the outcome of the previous conflict that ended with a limited nuclear exchange. Depending on the outcome of the referendum, conflict may rise again in the already war-torn and war weary region.

CRISIS IN KAVASH

Legion death toll reaches 100,000 as fighting continues in Kavash and her suburbs. Estimated civilian casualties are reported to be between 20,000-35,000 by Senate of Domestic Affairs, and death tolls of rebels estimated around 130,000. Multiple air strikes and chemical attacks have been conducted and seemed to have worsened the situation there. Police forces in suburban Kavash and western downtown Kavash reportedly gone rogue and have been attending to needs of rebels and their supporters. Police officers in the area have been officially deemed traitorous and 30 officers are currently in custody in Agadesh and awaiting their death sentences.

Several attacks on Potthani Legion installations by rebels have worsened relations between Legionnaires and locals to the point they are advised not to trust civilians in danger or injured civilians. Hospitals in war-torn eastern Kavash have been shut down and Legion soldiers are moving patients and tending to their needs. Doctors under persecution after suspicion of foul play and aiding rebels.

Downtown Kavash under anarchy

As soldiers prepare a front in the downtown metropolis of Kavash the entire city is under anarchy with civilians scattered and cowering as active firefights are being persued between Kavashi Rebels and Potthani Legionnaires. Tacticians are unsure which side will prevail in the coming battles, however it's obvious both factions are trying as hard as they can.

Civilian shelters have been made to protect civilians during the firefights, but shooting ensued far before a quarter of the area could have been evacuated. Experts predict the civilian casualties could surpass 80,000 by the end of the weekend. Reserve troops from Hamaan have been dispatched to Kavash as well as police officers from Agadesh. Emperor-Jericho III offers $50 PD for the heads of any rebels shot dead. Additionally, he offers $500 PD for rebel prisoners. Mercenaries from all over have joined the fighting.

More Troops For Tuktar As Tensions Rise

Tuktar:- In response to rising tensions sparked by the forthcoming referendum the Morridane Ministry of Defence has confirmed that an additional division of troops from the Morridane Army is being deployed to the city of Tuktar to bolster its security.

The Tuktar Provisional Government has insisted that the extra troops will not effect the referendum which is to go ahead as planned, a position backed by Her Excellency's Morridane Government. It has been stated that the extra troops will be primarily concerned with border security, chiefly operating against various militia groups which have already had a number of skirmishes with Morridane forces. So far the skirmishes have taken place on the Tuktar side of the border, though the Morridane government has approached both the Kashubian and Zvezdan regimes in the hope that both will take steps to curtail the actions of their respective militia groups. Though it is believed that the Morridane Government has not ruled out cross-border strikes if neither regimes take action to deal with the militia groups. A Morridane spokesperson has stated that the Commonwealth would prefer co-operation but will do what is necessary for the security of Tuktar, especially since the Commonwealth would like to gradually open up more border crossings in addition to the two that currently exist.

Within Tuktar the extra troops will provide support under 'Aid To Civil Authority' powers to the Tuktar Police Force should the need arise. This secondary role would see Morridane Forces Tuktar supplying personnel to man vehicle checkpoints, protecting police bases, supplementing police lines and cordons during times of civil disorder and bomb disposal specialists from the Royal Morridane Army Ordnance Corps (RMAOC). Though the Provisional Government has stated that it would the military support sparingly and considers martial law to be the last resort.

Presently polling shows Kashubia winning the referendum by a slim margin.

Potthan's Oriental Church of Yehoshua Granted New High Priest

Following the death of High Priest Jujak Manashtaha, elders in the Golden Path as well as religious officers were clustered on managing to find a new high priest. After 2 months of searching, it has been determined that Saint Hajad Numaan of Hamaan was to be granted high priesthood. This morning, Emperor-Warlord Jericho III vowed him into office in front of the St. Hamaan Cathedral in Agadesh in front of a crowd of 1,500,000.

High Priest Numaan has stated he'll "Follow the commandments of God to the highest extent and by the letter, as the incompetence of the last high priest had led us down a path of sin and greed." Talks of a 4th Potthani crusade were made in the meetings thereafter and an increase in religious police is pending. It seems as if Numaan is supportive of the Legion's effort to purify Kavash and Bokan, not only from Communist but of the increasing Muslim population being found out there.

"In the Eastern region alone, we've estimated about 150,000 Muslims were seeking sanctuary there. Lord knows how many others have been hiding. Luckily we're rid of them, but this means others may be in hiding as well." said Numaan.

Visitations to the Cathedral by foreigners have been forbid at the request of High Priest Numaan. Visitation hours are from 8AM-5PM except on Sundays where it is all 24 hours.

Referendum held for sending Investigators to Ordenium

Government-Funded "Project Purity" Shows Promise

Yesterday, 4,500,000 million dollars was handed to a government-supported scientific organization, "Verosa". They recently announced that they are working on an exerpiment they like to call "Project Purity", which is a program made to study all forms of genetic deformities, incurable diseases, and the human psych in a variety of scenarios. Subjects were gathered from willing participants across the nation's prisons. However, subjects are limited to non-drug addicted persons, aged between 18-30, not have any diseases, is mentally stable, and must have all body parts intact.

Verosa states they have taken 100 subjects for experimentation, and the control subjects are simply those still in prison that fit the same qualifications as the test subjects. The program has been going on for 3 years, however it is until now it's received national attention. Why?

Verosa's head scientist, Dr. John Laganai reports substantial progression in the program. He states "... Subjects seem to have more resistance to bacterium, and their immune systems are stronger than the control group. Additionally, they are more emotionally apathetic to scenarios such as violence towards allies and violence towards themselves." Funding Verosa's program might lead to breakthroughs in medicine and genetics. Though as of now, it's a bit too soon as Verosa reports an experiment like this could take decades to truly see the data they want. They expect to be making medicinal breakthroughs improving the nation's view of medicine within the next 10-20 years. "Since genetics takes so long to study in live time, it may take two or even three generations of scientists to conduct this specific study." reports Laganai.

In one of those moments that make you wonder if someone were playing a practical joke, LBC International's late night story about a political debate on the subject of the coming budget was upended today when they accidentally broadcast subtitles from a children's show in place of the correct subtitles. The unexpectedly entertaining debate kicked off with Lamoni's Environmental Minister saying, according to the subtitles, "greetings, earth creature," and things only got weirder from there. If only all political debates were this entertaining!

Military Convoy Crash In Lamoni

LAMONI - The Morridane Ministry of Defence has confirmed that a Morridane military road convoy in Lamoni has been involved in a road traffic accident.

The convoy was travelling from RMAF Ostford to a nearby port when the accident occurred, thankfully the convoy was empty at the time when it was going to collect munitions and supplies that had arrived by ship a few days earlier. As of yet the cause of the accident is unknown, but local emergency services were called out and some of the Morridane personnel had to be taken back to Ostford via helicopter. It is known that Morridane Service Police from the Army and RMAF have begun preliminary investigations in co-operation with their Lamonian counterparts. The Royal Morridane Corps of Transport has announced that immediate inspections of its vehicle fleet is to be carried out in addition to a full inspection and review of its workshops at Ostford.

After seizing power and creating the union between states, Empress Diana has made considerable progress, with crime rate dropping drastically and national tension at an all time low. With these incredible achievements, the Empress has expressed interest in expanding the amount of land under the Northern Cascadian Empire's rule. Due to food shortages resulting from population growth, as well as resources running low, the idea of land expansion is a necessary one.

"With environmental concerns rising, understandably so, new land will be needed for solar panel facilities and large amounts of land will also need wind turbines. Of course, as health rises and the murder rate drops, population grows. New land for housing will be required in the future. Massive New Deposits of Natural Resources Found

In a press release from the Federal government, massive deposits of natural resources were recently discovered. An enormous exploration multi-ship mission was launched some months ago to explore the territorial waters of the Timocratic Republic to see if any new sources of raw materials such as ores or crude oil could be discovered and while a few minor deposits were found the most stunning results were found near the end of the expedition, when surprising a massive treasure trove of raw materials and natural resources was located in of all places, the infamous Blood Sea.

The Blood Sea is infamous for its treacherous currents, shoals, not to mention the massive storms that occur in the dreaded waters. But the most feared aspects are it demonic dezins of the deep that reside within the sea. The dreaded kraken and levithan that call those waters home, both have often reported to have attacked and sunk ships. Consequently, due to all of these factors, the bottom of the Blood Sea is littered with unsalvaged ship wrecks from across time.

How the treacherous conditions will affect operations is clear. Any such operations in the sea will need to be on rugged vessels or rigs and heavily guarded by armed ships, manned by professional sailors familiar with the waters.

Among the variety of natural resources found, the few that stand out, one is the massive amount of crude oil. The explanatory mission discovered discovered evidence of crude oil in the Blood Sea and a later follow up mission confirmed it. It is estimated that over 350,000 million barrels of oil lying five and half miles below sea level, waiting to be harvested. The exploratory mission also discovered evidence of large deposits or rare earth minerals and other valuable heavy metals often used in today's most advanced technology, from cruise missiles and rail guns to TVs and phones. The only question is if someone will be able to mine them.

The waters are controlled by the Federal government and not currently owned by anyone however plans are in the works to allow private companies to exploit these newly found resources....

President Justus calls for Federal Elections

On the 24th of May, 2017 President Justus of the Republic of Vectors has called an election to end his fourteen year term in office.
In the Republic of Vectors, politicians have the opportunity to stay in power for up to twenty years, so long as the party support stands behind the individual. For the President, it is well within acceptable standards, however a slow decline is now taking its toll as the people want change. President Justus’s twelve year term is one of the shortest in the Republic’s history, with the record being President Jackson with his two year period, eventually resigning due to criminal concerns.
In these past fourteen years, the President has led the war through two wars and many skirmishes, and has solidified the Supernation economically after President Roofield’s ill-fated policies of the last term.

Elections will take place within the next six months, where several contenders have already registered interest for President Justus’s nomination, which carries with it great influence. While the nomination is important, it is not required to win the election.
