"It is an unfortunate fact that we can secure peace only by preparing for war."
- John Fitzgerald Kennedy

Fifty years have passed since the pivotal Great Galactic Revolution, a conflict that pitted the United Systems of Andropov against the Imperium of Averius and it's supporters which eventually resulted in the capitulation of the United Systems and the Imperium's rise out of the ashes of the once oppressive empire that ruled before them. Now the Galaxy has experienced an explosion of both growth and prosperity. Countless nations have filled the void left behind by the oppressive United Systems of Andropov, not only promoting peace, but also promoting an atmosphere of growth, essentially ushering in a Golden Age. However, after fifty years without the breakout of a major Pan-Galactic Conflict taking place, dark forces habe begun to gather over the unsuspecting Aquila Galaxy, a new conflict closing in on the horizon. Signaling not only an approaching end to the Golden Age Era, but also heralding in a conflict that the Galaxy has yet to witness since the fall of the Old Vanguard.

Welcome to the era of Interstellar Retribution, a Science Fiction Roleplay based on a hybridization of both an open world environment and a plot oriented storyline depicting the era of prosperity following the defeat of the United Nations of Andropov and the events following the end of the Golden Age Era. A world where you the Rper have the ability to play as either an Empire, a Faction, an Individual Character, or even all three at the same time! In this world the sky is the limit as you reach out into the stars in order to establish your rightful place in the Galaxy. However, beware the lurking dangers that are hidden in remote areas of the Galaxy, whether these be mere pirates seeking to pillage and plunder their way to glory, or even another Empire that seeks to bask in the sunlight of power.

Great Galactic Revolution: A conflict between the United Systems of Andropov and the Imperium of Averius, the Great Galactic Revolution was a war fought in order to topple the oppressive shadow that the United Systems placed upon a portion of the Galaxy. While the Imperium was able to successfully bring about the end of the United Systems' oppression, they were unable to fully prevent surviving elements of the United Systems from fleeing into the Unknown Regions. As of now, the fate of the United Remnants remains unknown.

Old Guard: Long ago, there existed empires with technologies beyond our wildest dreams. Known only as the Old Guard, these empires existed prior to the Great Galactic Revolution before they had either disappeared from the Galactic Stage, or were outright shattered as a result of a conflict known only as the Great War. If there are any remaining members of the Old Guard left, they exist in a state of disorganization and isolation, remaining relatively aloof to the ongoing Galactic Events.

Far Outsiders: Recently, rumors have been spreading about a group known only as the Far Outsiders who have recently made their presence known within the Unknown Regions. At this point, very little information about the origins of these far outsiders is known, and their intent being a mystery.

Unknown Regions: A Region of Space that remains relatively undiscovered by the people of the Galaxy, the Unknown Regions is said to be the origin point of the United Systems of Andropov, as well as an area of the Galaxy plagued with piracy and other malicious activities. While encompassing a relatively small portion of the Galaxy, it is also a rather dangerous place to traverse.

The Nexus: A unique energy field that permeates throughout the entirety of the Universe, The Nexus is considered to be the spiritual equivalent the Force. However, it is to be noted that unlike The Force, The Nexus offers a variety of powers ranging from Psionic Manipulation, Magic/Alchemy Usage, and even Elemental Manipulation.

NOTE: If you wish to introduce a new power into The Nexus, feel free to contact me and we can discuss it!

[NO LOGO YET, SORRY]
Organization Name: The Initiative of the Free Galaxy
Type of Organization: Nomadic self-sustaining micro-civilization / mercenary group.
Organization Leader: Fleet Commander "Arbitrator" - his original name has been lost to time.
History Of Your Organization: Originally a battleship captain who fought with the Imperium of Averius in the Great Galactic Revolution, Arbitrator pursued immortality above all else, and after achieving a physical life extension by wiring himself into his ship, he began wondering whether he could truly become "immortal" in another sense: organizing a society of sorts that would, if everything went well, permanently leave a mark on the galaxy. Recruiting followers was easy, and within a few months he had assembled a collection of several dozen space vessels and set out into the void in search of adventure.

Things were slow for many years afterwards, as the band of mercenaries gradually grew close together. They ditched their old rusty ships for new, high-tech warships once they got the chance, organized an industrial fleet to collect and refine minerals, and spent years on end in unknown space, picking a fight with whoever decided to get in their way, and preparing to return should the galaxy fall into conflict once more.
=========================================================
-Military/Security Information-
=========================================================
Military Information: (Technological Capabilities, Production Capabilities, etc...)
The Initiative is a fleet, and the fleet is its own military. While ships have entered and left of their own accord, the current fleet composition, and the core of all their operations, is as follows.

  • 1 "Relay Megatower": a gargantuan (22.5km tall) mobile space station in the shape of a very narrow tower. While poorly armed, it is durable enough to withstand enemy attack for some time. Its true purpose, besides serving as a home amongst the stars, is to portal other Initiative ships anywhere in the galaxy provided that a single ship arrives at the destination first. Pirates and other factions throughout the galaxy have come to fear the arrival of even one small Initiative craft - it can mean certain death at the hands of the rest of the fleet.
  • 2 Vajra-class carriers: 3.3km capital ships altered from their initial fighter-carrying role and largely redesigned as logistics and repair platforms. A Vajra is equipped with dozens of long-range repair beams to recharge shields and even piece together armor of other ships. The two of them often work together, drawing enemy fire while repairing each other to redirect and confuse enemy fire control.
  • 12 Fourier-class light battleships: 1.25km warships designed to be refittable for a multitude of combat roles. They are known for being exceptionally durable,
    withstanding bombardment from multiple opposing battleships at once before finally falling. Generally, the Initiative's Fourier-class ships are equipped with either a rack of heavy laser cannons for medium-range brawling, or an array of plasma torpedo launchers, massively powerful area-of-effect weapons designed to shred apart everything from fighters to supercarriers. Each of them is also loaded with six heavy laser drones and six torpedo drones, to amplify their firepower.
  • 4 Pantheon-class cruisers: 470m cruisers that have been completely gutted and reassembled to serve as interdictors. An Initiative Pantheon can project a bubble around itself, with a radius of up to five hundred kilometers, that completely shuts down all FTL travel within. They are generally used to pin down enemy capital ships, which are usually too slow to escape, while the battleships focus them down and destroy them.
  • 8 String Theory-class frigates: 395m ships designed for logistics and combat repair. When it is awkward to bring in the carriers, the Initiative has these frigates help repair the frontline battleships (and each other, should it be necessary). The String Theory-class is known for being fairly durable, like most of the other ships in the fleet.
  • 2 heavy industry ships, measuring 2.69km, which the Initiative uses for mass-producing ammunition, repair supplies, and other miscellaneous parts, as well as temporary command centers for industrial operations.
  • 1 heavy freighter, 2.4km long, mostly intended to carry and refine the ores collected by the mining vessels.
  • 9 mining ships, of various sizes (100-800m) that tag along with the main fleet, gather ores, and drop them off at the freighter.

Their military doctrine has two main focal elements: survivability, and surprise. Generally, combat involves a part of their fleet slamming into realspace from an FTL jump directly next to an enemy formation, pounding it from close range with heavy weapons, and retreating before the enemies can respond. Unorthodox tactics and the like are very common in the Initiative, and for years they have developed a set of unusual combat tricks and techniques to assist their actions. FTL-interdiction trickery, disorienting logistics webs, and seemingly suicidal missile detonations make up only a small part of their widely varied and nearly-perfected arsenal.

Security Personnel: (Maximum Shouldn't exceed 5% of your Population) The total population of the Initiative is roughly 33,000; about half serve on the military ships, but they are not prepared to handle boarding or internal conflict so "security" numbers are only in the hundreds.
Affiliated Branches: The Initiative has one branch: itself.
=========================================================
-Other Information-
=========================================================
Rival Organizations: Nothing notable (as of yet) with the exception of the occasional pirate group or rogue faction hiding in the galaxy's unexplored regions.
Benefactors: None as of yet.

Here is history:
-Base Information-
=========================================================
Image
Nation Name: The Collective
Government Type: Technocracy
National Leader(s): Prime-Leader Shovan, Commander-Scientist Vaec, Commander-Military Jackson
Population: 350 billion Citizens
Star Systems: 2 Custom constructed solar systems
History Of Your Nation: The Collective began approximately one and one half millennia before modern times. A group of alien scientists had fallen deathly ill by a nasty biological weapon used by an alien hive mind race that was trying to get rid of their race, and incorporate it into their own. In their hour of desperation, they decided to do something that was considered taboo by many: Uploading their consciousness into a machine. If they couldn't preserve their species, they could preserve the idea. At first it was rough, with only a few dozen people remaining and in robot bodies, but once the dust settled, they realized that since they were no longer bound by the limitations of flesh, they could share their knowledge! The skills between them was a mix of science and engineering, and once they copied the information and shared it among their peers, greatly increasing their effectiveness and many of them even had new ideas on how to expand on each other's field of expertise.

Most of their race was purged with their population only being in a single digit percent of what it once was. They were not deterred from their mission of preserving their species. They traveled their planet gathering up as many survivors and raw materials that remained. There was much more of the latter than the former. It took time, but they were able to start getting people to do what they did. Their group grew from the double digits to triple and then quadruple and continued to snowball for years after the conflict had ended. The knowledge they had gained from the people they added to the Collective continued to grow and make their lives far easier. Technology advanced far, far quicker than it had even they even found out a way to simulate reproduction by combining different properties from an individual's personality and mixing it with another. Effectively creating a new person.

Decades passed and the Collective was now superior to their old race in virtually every way. The notable difference was the absurd amount of resources that the collective needed. Fortunately, they had a solution: strip mine the entire planet and every other planet in their solar system. Many people were understandably less than happy about the idea of turning their home planet into a disposable resource. So they settled on just using their asteroid belt and other planets that were far too radioactive for even machines to inhabit safely. And thus the Collective was formally named. Within a few centuries every planet save for their homeworld was converted into either a mine or factory of some sort and their population exploded, reaching dozens of billions. And then, the hive mind that had once nearly exterminated them, returned. This time they were ready.

The war was less a war and more a simple pest control mission. The hive mind race was annihilated. Without their nasty viruses and pathogens to weaken and kill their prey, they were ruthlessly annihilated by the people they sought to assimilate. It took merely days. The Collective had vindicated their people. They had saved their species. They had destroyed their age old enemies. Life was good. Their next objective was to spread throughout the galaxy and beyond to see what else the universe had to offer. Several other races of varying levels of technology and aggression. The ones that tried quickly realized the difficulty of dealing with a race of machines that can virtually instantly communicate, adapt, and swarm with high quality robots ranging from somewhat larger than an average person to giant. It cemented their place as the most formidable member of their home galaxy.

Eventually, they expanded and uplifted every species in their galaxy, uniting them under their banner and ensuring the peace that the galaxy enjoyed. But the Collective decided this wasn't enough and elected to build a fleet and explore the nearest galaxy in hopes of finding new species to uplift and add to their empire. The 5th most massive fleet in the Collective was constructed. Containing numerous planet sized ships, among other transport ships to carry drones and supplies. And they set off for their journey to their new home! The massive trip took a solid month to complete, but they had done it. Once they had arrived, they deployed their artificial worlds and got started for their new lives in a new galaxy.

=========================================================
-Military Information-
=========================================================
Military Information: The Collective is incredibly advanced and uses highly capable combat drones carrying a massive variety of weapons ranging from railguns to plasma to magnetohydrodynamic weaponry. It also possess several super weapons that it isn't afraid to use if backed into a corner. The Collective also possess actual soldiers which carry weapons superior to the drones as well as being superior in every way. Stronger shielding, better combat coding, and of course better weaponry.
Military Population: 17 billion drones. 500 million soldiers.
Military Branches: The Drones
The Soldiers
The Navy: 100,000, 500m,Scout ships
15,000 5km Cruisers
15,000 5km Destroyers
1,000 10km Dreadnoughts
1,000 Transport ships
5 World Builders One of which possess a superlaser. 35,000 km
Military Strengths: The Collective is fully mechanized and all units are immune to things like EMPS. With massive production capabilities, a phenomenally powerful fleet. several hand made planets one of which is a massive super laser, they are a mighty force to be reckoned with.
Military Weaknesses: The Collective relies heavily on drones to do most of the menial tasks. Without them, they are crippled.
=========================================================
-Diplomatic/Economic Information-
=========================================================
Languages: Wireless signal communication among themselves, with universal translators for everything else.
Foreign Policy: Being homogeneous, the Collective possess no borders among itself. They prefer diplomacy first, but are not afraid to flex themselves if they feel threatened.
Number Of Species: 1
Economic Strengths: Immense production capabilities, incredible resource gathering, highly advanced technology.
Economic Weaknesses: Collective technology is designed for the Collective. Making it difficult for them to adapt their technology for organic species. Due to lack of a currency, the Collective stores other species currency for trading.
=========================================================
-Other-
=========================================================
Technological Bases: Mostly custom. Technology includes: Dyson spheres, extreme manipulation of gravity and other fundamental forces, manipulation of matter, matter compression, nanotechnology, massive scale construction, and teleportation.
Activity on NS: Relatively often.
RP Example: It's me
Supporting Factions within your Nation: The AI: While the Collective disdains "true" AI, this is a very powerful one that is controversial. It manages the defenses of the Collective.

CODE: ‪SELECT ALL‬
Species Name: Harakas
Appearance: Most of them just seem to resemble giant beetles that walk on their back legs, and they have six legs in total, the other four acting more like arms than legs, however. Most of their body is completely black, including the eyes. Though, the only part that wouldn't be black (in most cases) are the patterns on their wings/shells. They can consist of being blue, any shade of green, dark brown, red, or they may not have any color at all, though this is considered rare. They also have one big horn sticking out of their forehead, which they use to fight other members of their species. It's more of a local custom than a foreign one, obviously. They wouldn't dare use their horns against other sentient species.
Biology/Anatomy: The body is similar to what you'd find in a beetle. A hard out shell which is the exoskeleton of the creature. Because of this they have no inner bones. Inside of them they have a light green blood coursing through their veins. If some of them are lucky, or blessed by God, they do have wings that are actually fully capable of allowing them to fly, though this is incredibly rare in this society. (What is the body of the species like? Do they have less bones? Many bones? Purple blood?)
Natural Abilities: They seem to be very, very dexterous, thanks to the multiple hands, and they are powerful if they use their horns correctly.
Unnatural abilities: If this counts as unnatural, they seem extremely religious, more so than others. It just seems to be a trait they all have.
Breathable Gas: If you're asking if the oxygen on their planet is breathable...yes.
=========================================================
Life Span: A normal lifespan usually goes up to thirty years, while the age of maturity is twelve years old. An long life is considered to be forty-five years old.
Reproduction: Sexually.
Intelligence Level: They're intelligent enough to build spaceships and whatnot, and have blasters, and understand they are an amazing race of people
Species Type: Insectoid
=========================================================
Population Percentage: Almost, if not all of them, identify with their nation and their planet. They wouldn't dare live under the flag of a different. Action of different species.
Notable Individuals: Delanu Varhas is the queen of the nation, while Alaba Garl is her trusty advisor on just about everything. Besides that...there's not much
=========================================================
Brief Description of Species: The Harakas are a surprisingly intelligent, incredibly religious bug race, and their religion runs around the idea that they are the greater species. This religion has been long since founded, and has been the main cause of war against most races they find in space. The first thing they did after discovering spaceship technology, and then finding another, at least semi-sentient race, was to declare war and overrun them. Afterwards this race was made their slave, and it was quite not added to religious texts that any other species they encounter, if they can help it, must bow down under their heel and submit to them. They certainly take this to heart, as their xenophobic reign has spelled the end of a nation or two.

Species Name: Rarsneen
Appearance: Similar to that of a praying mantis, except they stand at around eight feet tall or so. Their bodies vary in color, but general are seen to be light or dark green or varying shades of brown. Like a mantis, they have six legs, and they have compound eyes. They, too, have a hardy exoskeleton that is difficult to crack, though out of all the features they possess, their arms are the most interesting. Their arms, whole ending in hands, also have blades on them, starting from halfway down their arm and ending at their wrist. These blades are incredibly sharp, and on their planet they can cut through just about anything.
Biology/Anatomy: As stated before, Rarsneens are around eight feet tall, the smallest one ever recorded being 6'6, and the tallest one that's been recorded (who is the current leader) stands at ten feet tall. Their bodies are completely insectoid in nature, and they seem to bleed a mustard-colored blood whenever they are wounded, but not killed. Their blades appear to be made out of some kind of reinforced keratin, sort of like what fingernails are made out of, only stronger and much sharper.
Natural Abilities: Fighting. Seriously, the Rarsneens are amazing at fighting, and it's a good thing, too, considering that's what most of their society revolves around. They can take on just about anything in a fight if they really try.
Unnatural abilities: Uh...can't think of much but their surprising agility with there arm blades.
Breathable Gas: Without some kind of mask to help them, they can only breathe the air on their planet.
=========================================================
Life Span: To die a natural death? Average is 40 years, longest ever recorded was 60, though that seems incredibly rare.
Reproduction: Sexuallg
Intelligence Level: Semi-sentient. They certainly aren't the most intelligent, though sometimes there is a particularly smart one born every now and then. They have gotten to the point where they have what you'd call a society, but they don't understand the value of other people's lives or have much going for them. They're in a type of tribal stage, basically.
Species Type: Also insectoid
=========================================================
Population Percentage: 100%
Notable Individuals: Arlphok Garrkan, roughly translates to Bloody Blade in English. Leader of the species.
=========================================================
Brief Description of Species: The Rarsneens live off of war. Their whole society is based off of bloodshed. The stronger you are, the more you kill, the higher in society you are. There are no weaklings in the society. Those are killed during the process of growing up. Cannibalism is a Dailey practice with these people. It's not uncommon for them to feast on fallen soldiers. Their society is just barely there, though the leader doesn't do much to improve the situation or stop the bloodshed. He just...exists.

The Initiative consists of whoever decided to join. Mostly humans, yes, but there's also many different alien species of whatever kinds can be easily found in the galaxy. I don't really want to have to fill out applications for all of them - there's only a few of each, assuming they're in the minority in the galaxy.

Name: Myra Wail
Appearance: Very dark brown hair which has a tendency to change colours based on her mood. Her eyes are a deep green hidden underneath long eyelashes. She stands 5'5" with a moderately slender build. It is nearly impossible to see her without her leather jacket and a non-functional copper pocket-watch. Underneath her jacket is often a solid colour t-shirt. She has no piercings or tattoos anywhere on her body, but she does have a long scar around her neck and trailing down the front of her body, stopping right under her chest.
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Species: Human
History/Biography: Myra was born during the glory days of the galaxy to two loving parents on board the Caregiver a human-only transport cruise destined for one of the many planets inhabited by humans. Born to a very wealthy father and an even more wealthy mother, most on board assumed that she would be having an easy life upon arrival. That is to say, if they ever arrived in the first place.

It was on board this vessel that 'The Potest' was first discovered and documented. It was a power that had not been seen or heard of in millennia and was thought to have been a myth, much like the Old Guard and their empire. It was said that the ship shattered, leaving only a single survivor. Even though a voice recording survived of the event, it has been locked away after it killed the listeners. The only survivor was a small barely breathing baby of two months. She would only regain consciousness 10 months later. Around her neck was a pocket-watch with a simple name inscribed on it: Myra Wail.

Myra Wail grew up alone among many orphanages across the planets, being told time and time again that her parents' wealth would sustain her when she was old enough. It was her claim to fame. Extraordinarily wealthy, with no family to speak of, aside from the man who found her, but did not wish to raise her. It was a troubling existence, knowing that her destiny awaited her on her 15 birthday, but unable to speed up time.

It was while alone, without any friends or even foster parents (whom only hope to gain enormous wealth) to play with, that she discovered the first instances of her powers. The abilities to move stones and pebbles with just a raise of her fingertips. The ability to trick her less than perfect foster parents into reading her a story like they did the other children. The ability to cheat in cards, somehow knowing exactly when she should remain in the game and when to leave. She enjoyed her time alone.

That was, until she met Sam. A young boy of 12, just her age. A new foster family who was kinder than most came along with the charming and incredibly intelligent boy. He was fond of following along with her as she traveled through the streams and over the toppled trees of the local forest. She loved when he pointed out facts about the leaves and how they changed colours based on the amount of light shined on them. He loved watching her move objects with her mind. And she loved letting him run simple experiments on her powers. Their parents, realizing the love of the scientific method, gave them a small shop in their basement to run any tests they could dream of, with professional chemicals and equipment. Sam would mix and match chemicals to try and recreate the changing colours of the leaves, and Myra would make up stories and tell him to pass the time.

Aged 14 and a half; Myra had spent the longest she had ever had with a single family. Sam and Myra were closer than best friends. But, Myra could never quite tell what their parents were feeling. Her father had grown to like the taste of alcohol and her mother seemed to be fearful of Myra at times and jittery at others, unable to focus on any single task for very long. But, Myra had Sam. And she had her powers, which seemed to be growing stronger every day.

But, it was these very powers which was causing a rift in her life. The Nexus was a force that few understood and many hoped to profit from. Myra was also one that many hoped to profit from; from parents whom she had long forgotten the faces of, and only knew by the sight of a single broken pocket-watch. Late one night, nightmares were keeping Myra awake. Nothing she could do could shake them, even the gentle stroke of Sam's hand on hers from the bed beside. It was a light from the window which alerted her attention. And it was the lack of reply from her foster parents that told her that they were gone.

It is unknown whether those 187 combatants found were hired by the family to get rid of the child of the Nexus, or were hoping to capture her so close to the day she would gain her vast fortune to obtain it for themselves. All that is known is the simple recap Myra told the ministry.

Myra woke Sam from his blissful sleep, scared beyond her mind and not knowing what to do. It was Sam who suggested hiding in their laboratory in the basement. It was Sam who locked the door leading upstairs and it was Sam who hugged Myra tightly as they called her name while blasting the door with their guns, sending flames and smoke into the room. The two of them rushed backwards, trying to escape them men who were reaching for them. They knocked into a metal shelf, sending Sam's chemical mixture through the air. The very same mixture which was able to change the colours of the leaves. Landing on her head, Myra's scalp began to burn with the intensity of magma, sending her to a shock-wave of emotion, and releasing her control of her powers. Objects flew around the room as Sam tried to hold her hand and calm her down, as combatants tried to reach them. It only took one touch of the leather glove of her assailant to throw her over the edge. Pain, Anger, Fear, Dread, Hopelessness, Sadness. Pain. Potest. There was only a single survivor.

When Myra woke up, her 15 birthday had long passed. When she tried to claim her wealth, she was told that due to her inheritance not being claimed on the day it needed to be, it was taken by the empire. She would never receive a single penny of her fortune. She would never again have a friend as close to her as Sam was. But, she would forever have hair that changed colour based on her mood.

She joined up with a travelling cargo freighter, whom was scavenging the edges of the galaxy and various planets for scrap metal and any other useful tools. It was a calming existence with meager to little pay, but it was enough to gain passage on board a faster ship to take her as far away from her last planet as possible.

Not knowing what to do with her life, she roams the planets looking for meaningless jobs and tasks to fill the void in her heart.

Unknown to her, there are those who have known about her hidden ability; the one in which she dare not speak about. The one in which many would try to use of her...

how would the years work in this, as how far back would we be able to go in our History? and what AD,BC,etc thing would we use to mark the time?

Alright, I will accept this app but I would like to raise the issue of "The Potest". While I will allow it's use due to the hefty weaknesses you've added onto it, I stress that this be used only as a last resort.

Also, try not to conflict The Nexus with The Force, it is true that it inherits the abilities of The Force, but it's power has a wider expanse than the Force ever did

would you like me to change anything? (I added the Potest in only if I plan on leaving the RP for a period of time due to work or RL/OOC issues. With luck, it will only be used as a part of her backstory and maybe a way to have people chase her)

EDIT: and Myra's Nexus powers are similar to that of the Force, so as not to somehow give her power over multiple parts of it
EDIT2: I may create a nation as well if everybody is using nations

-Base Information-
=========================================================
Image
Nation Name: The Court of Heretics | Parliament of the Dark Lords, Yasheem Baba
Government Type: Confederacy
National Leader(s): The Seven Lords of Infinity
Population: 200 billion
Star Systems: 4,000 Star Systems
History Of Your Nation: The depths of Wild Space hold many secrets and tall-tales of wayward travelers, but one that holds true to the stories is the council that governs dark magic and all of it's ilk. Several thousand years ago, the once thriving metropolitan world of Ysmault was suddenly scorched black and turned into a hellish, apocalyptic wasteland as the forces of it's Sovereign Church of the Light, simply known as The Church, suffered a brutal and violent schism, pitting it's darkened users and outcasts against their former brethren. In an instant, a world was gone, and billions perished.

Yet in such bloodshed, the members who orchestrated the schism survived, feeding off of the dead souls and accumulated blood that had spilled over Ysmault, exponentially increasing their power and abilities with the planet-sized sacrifice. From here, the members of the Schism began an all-out brawl for supremacy, declaring that none shall reign over the other. For years, the schism warred itself, grinding itself down by the thousands until precious few remained, less than ten, and of those, none could reach a final and decisive death. As their war became a stalemate, the seven dark lords that remained gathered in the Ruinous Cathedral of the Church, and signed a pact of alliance with one another, a stable peace for Ysmault. This alliance became known as the Court of Heretics, those whose practices and simple existence went against the nature of the Church, but this concordat is a faded memory, the Court having expanded to the stars and gone through several transitions since it's initial inception.

Leaving Ysmault was a fierce debate for the first order of Dark Lords, but it was needed in order to expand their power and gain more knowledge of their immediate neighborhood, so the Court became space fairing, using their dark magic to conjure interstellar engines and ships unseen before in Wild Space. The first initial expansions focused exclusively on capturing planets to sacrifice and gain their blood and power, but the Court began to grow as powerful mages and dark sorcerers joined their ranks. Through centuries of conquest and expansion, six of the original members of the Court have been replaced, leaving only the Queen of Worms as the last remnant of Ysmault.

Nowadays, the Court of Heretics is a paper tiger of a faction, holding vast numbers and powerful members under their banner, but the chaotic nature of dark magic prevents their coming together except in times of dire need. The Seven Lords of Infinity wages wars on their allied factions, competition for worlds is stiff, and the ever-growing threat of rival galactic powers and anti-magical elements in the galaxy is a proving grounds for the Court of Heretics, who almost seem uninterested in pan-galactic supremacy in exchange for fighting each other.
=========================================================
-Military Information-
=========================================================
Military Information: The technology of the Court is varied faction to faction, but overall, is based on Magitek, wherein the greatest of the Courts' sorcerers prove to be the best scientists and ship-wrights for their empire, able to conjure impressive star ships and munitions to arm them through careful meditation. In theory, ships and fleets could be assembled at insane production rates, but realistically, ship construction is just not that interesting to the Court. They prefer to dabble in dark heresies and forbidden magic, leaving their military touch and go as they need.
Military Population: 1 billion - Composed mainly of lesser mages and students of the dark arts, as well as their support and various magical researchers who expand the knowledge available to the Dark Lords. The billion-mark is the amalgamation of the Seven's faction numbers of living souls, as the Court tends to summon creatures and golems to fight on their behalf by the billions.
Military Branches: Various, each faction contains it's own army and fleet, but when combined, are known as the Heretical High Fleet of the Court and the Dark Army of the Court.
Military Strengths: Overwhelming numbers, Unknowable technology
Military Weaknesses: Compete disunity, Infighting among factions
=========================================================
-Diplomatic/Economic Information-
=========================================================
Languages: Ysmaultian, Any Language Via Translation Spells
Foreign Policy: (Ranges from First Encounter Policy to anything else of Importance)
Number Of Species: Hundreds
Economic Strengths: Creation and destruction of resources on whims, capable of making and unmaking buildings, ships, and laying waste to or uplifting planets, magical web-work of planetary connections.
Economic Weaknesses: No desire to create a decent economy or living conditions, or even trade with other cultures.
=========================================================
-Other-
=========================================================
Technological Bases: Warhammer 40K
Activity on NS: Daily to Semi-Weekly
RP Example: no
Supporting Factions within your Nation: Each of the Seven contain their own faction, more or less, and the Court of Heretics is based on that.

There are two things that mark the time with the Imperium of Averius, BBR (Before the Battle of Reserdan), and ABR (After Battle of Reserdan) And while I welcome anyone to date anything accordingly to their preference, we are not using things like BC and AD as we are not within the Milky Way Galaxy.
