Sure, that's just fine. Though he might have to go elsewhere if he wants serious information; the Firstman of Sar Nanil is basically the mayor of an average small town, and while educated, probably doesn't know much about the wider Imperium in great detail.

Donovan entered his squat, dismal abode built seventy years before out of breezeblocks. This was a rough side of Dallas, but he got along fine by himself. He missed Lone Oak. Sure, the town had a drug problem, but it was a hell of a lot quieter and cleaner by a mile. Besides that, there were no fishing holes in the city. No friends either. Just strangers, always with an angle.

Donovan had had a few drinks, and so it was that, once he locked the front door and turned towards the kitchen, his reaction to the undulating myriad of rainbow hues before him was mildat best. He blinked a few times and rubbed his eyes. Still, the strange rift before him remained. He took a step forward. Energy seemed to reverbrate right into his core.

Another step forward now, cautious. He extended his hand to touch the thing.

Then he was gone, hurled back through the ages to a place far away. There was a moment during his passage where he was able to formulate a coherent thought despite the cacophany of noise and color around him.

"I've never even been out of Texas!"
