Well, Barça is still Barça and the Camp Nou is going to give them a further boost. Then again Juventus sports the best defense in both Serie A (20 ga in 31 matches) and in CL (2 ga in 9 matches iirc).

Tricky. Someone younger, definitely. A more modern look, rather than coaches from the 90s (with the exception of Blind, it was lately van Gaal, Hiddink and now Advocaat). Yet with experience. Ten Cate was for a while in the picture, but that's not an innovator at all.
Ronald Koeman comes to mind, but not sure if he would manage to innovate. Erik ten Hag comes to mind for that. A combination of both perhaps.
There were also talks about Sampaioli, but then we need a good assistant coach (probably with a Spanish football background) who can speak Dutch in order to alleviate the language barrier.
Also, Gullit as assistant now. Gullit.
Let me repeat:

I'm surprised Mancini hasn't been in the discussion for a good national team job like The Netherlands.
The carousel of has-beens must be pretty frustrating.
A tired old hand to steer the ship until Gio van Bronckhorst is ready?

As brilliant as he was at Saints, one criticism of Koeman was that he didn't really like playing young players. There were hardly any young English players playing a substantial number of games. Compare that with this season when we've had Ward Prowse (who, once he was playing, got called up for England), Stephens (though that's because of the Van Dijk injury), McQueen and Sims all playing a fair few games under Puel. Not saying Koeman won't win the Netherlands trophies though

Why not Erdogan, to ease the political tension between the Netherlands and Turkey ?

No?
2nd place in Netherlands gives 3rd round qualifier for CL. http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/ne ... 44525.html so it seems that Ajax would be bumped up to direct playoffs rather than the round before if they win, but to directly placed if the CL winner has a domestic spot. Nothing is said about the loser of the EL final. So I assume that they have to go through the normal domestic route.
Also, woo! Ajax - Manchester. Great final. It sounds like a final match from the (mid-later) 90s. First European final of a Dutch club in 15 years. Last time a Dutch club was in a final was Feyenoord in 2002.
Feyenoord is bound to win the Dutch domestic league (provided they win it). Which would be their first domestic championship since 1999.

So we'll just have to thump Ajax then.
