Hello and welcome to Realism and RP's recruitment thread. This thread will host general information about our region as well as applications from prospective members.
Realism and RP is a Modern Tech, Realistic, Worldbuilding region. This means that we are set in roughly the modern day, are limited to what is currently feasible technologically, and focus on fleshing out a believable, interactive world. Our nations exist on the planet Karaban, and have no connection to real life countries. This means that our languages, common currencies, religions and more are original creations. We use realistic populations, plausible economics, and reasonable politics. Rather than attempt to grind out yet another conflict RP each month, our members assist each other OOCly in developing the stories behind their nations. Our focus on realism should not be mistaken with elitism, we are more than happy to take in and work with new RPers.
Realism and RP was founded in 2014 and is composed of a motley crew of individuals. We have a diverse array of members, hailing from nations such as Poland, the UK, Sweden, Mexico, and the United States. Realism and RP also boasts a healthy line-art community, though this is by no means a requirement for entry. We hang out on a regional Discord channel as well as our RMB, where we plan RP's, collaborate on projects, and develop a unified lore. Additionally our region has hosted off-site DnD campaigns and organizes matches of games such as Depth, Total War: Warhammer II, L4D2, Wargame: Red Dragon, and ARMA 3.

Your application to Realism and RP should include:
- An RP sample.
- A rough map of which land you are interested in claiming.
- A basic idea for your nation, including government type, resemblance to real world cultures, and population estimate. An IIwiki or Factbook link would be immensely helpful in this area.
This is the bare minimum required, you should include as much as you can.

Please note that usage of a factbook or wiki can save you quite a bit of typing. That said, you are welcome to join even if you do not entirely know in which direction you wish to take your nation. Just hop on our Discord and chat with whoever is there.
