I don't know if this got out or not. Something's wrong. We've had multiple breaches. The security bulkheads failed a few hours ago, I think. We've been sending out distress signals but nobody's responding. Security holed up in Sector two and they've been shooting anyone that tries to get in. I think I might be the last one left. Listen, I don't care what anyone says. We're beyond saving down here. Everything we had has gotten loose, and the computers aren't acting right anymore.
I've got a pistol in my office drawer. For the love of god, don't send anyone after us.

Welcome to Site Nine, a research and containment facility located at the bottom of the ocean. You don't know why you're here, you don't know how you got here.
All you know is that something terrible has happened. Corpses litter the halls, things slither in and out of the shadows. You can't help but shake the distinct sense you're being watched. What did this place contain? What kind of research was being done here? Your only answers are distant screams. Something terrible has happened here, that much is certain.

That leaves one question. Can you stop what has happened from reaching the surface, or will it consume you like it has so many others?

FACILITY is a science fiction horror RP taking place in a deep sea research facility. Something terrible has happened, and whatever was being researched here has broken loose. The Facility itself is tremendous, encompassing a vast area of the ocean floor. Where exactly is unknown, but it's clear that the experiments being conducted here were of the less than ethical variety. It is as though the whole facility is alive with something unnatural and wrong. The creaking of pipes like breathing, the distant moaning of deep sea beasts ringing chills up your spine. Something unspeakable has happened here, yes, and it's your duty to stop it and escape. Hopefully in one piece.

FACILITY is a survival horror RP, first and foremost. Characters can and will die, and if that happens you can create a new application to start fresh. The main plot begins in a far off corner of the facility, dedicated to cryogenics. You are a test subject, it seems, awoken as the facility's power supply begins to break down. Left alone within the dying husk of the site, you must now plunge forwards into the dark to discover the truth behind this place, and why you're here to begin with.

• Don't be a dick.
• The Word of OP is law, the word of the Co-Ops is law unless otherwise stated.
• Characters with supernatural abilities are ONLY AVAILABLE to OP and Co-Op.
• Characters with supernatural powers OTHER THAN the OP and Co-Op will NOT be accepted, barring extraordinary circumstances.
• Poor Spelling, Grammar, and overall Poor writing ARE grounds for application denial.
• Not participating in the RP for any considerable period of time is grounds for character death.
• Inactive characters can be resurrected if the original writer returns; active characters killed during the story CANNOT be resurrected without GOOD reason.
• No, you cannot have a light machine gun, flamethrower, plasma rifle, etc.
• Don't go overboard with gore, violence, etc. Do things in good taste, basically.
• You won't have any starting equipment unless I give express permission for it.

Biography: Born in Rural British Columbia in 1998, David was born into a relatively poor family, who had a start up electrical compay as a business. With an older brother, and a rather strained parentage, David's life was that of a low tier family. Bankruptcy was filed when he was four, and he has little memory of it. His parents were forced to pass off their business and sell their vehicles, leaving the family with a single van. Being a rotund child, he was routinely bullied at school, all the way until his growth spurt at twelve.

He spent a total of eight years in the local education system, before his father found a job as an electrician in Philedelphia. It was at this time that his parents willfully divorced, knowing that living with one another was a hassle enough. He, his brother, and mother moved south to the lower mainland. While his father moved to Philly. Despite knowing that it was an inevitability, it still affected David. His father left for months at a time before returning to visit, while his mother and brother got part time jobs.

Despite these set backs, David eventually gained scholarship for a Programming Degree, and arrived for the first semester of the year.

All was lain to waste when he was kidnapped and stuffed into a number of tests for some fucked up scientists. Now all of his bodily fluids contain a glittery sheen to them. And it's slightly disconcerting.

Haven't tried survival horror, and this smells like Amnesia with SCP elements. Tagging.

Name: Andre Lee
Gender: Male
Age: 14, going on 15
Occupation: Student
Appearance: Andre has short very dark brown hair, very light brown skin [Could be considered 'pale' brown] and hazel eyes. He is 139 pounds and is 5'6 feet tall. I assume we all start off with the same, pre-chosen clothing, but just in case, I'll say he is wearing a gray 'kangaroo' hoodie, a white undershirt and jeans. He is African-Canadian, Germanic [More specifically Scottish] and Mi'kmaq [Only by a minuscule portion]. Though not relating to appearance, since I didn't know where to put this, I'll add that his voice is sort of deep, with a hint of Scottish, though he can put on a higher pitched, easier to understand voice.
Skills: Good knowledge of history/geography [Specifically geography], can run fast [Though has poor stamina], has high endurance and can do well in a fight. Not that it matters, he's good at gaming too.
Weaknesses: Has low stamina, clumsy writing and aim, needs glasses to see well, is short-tempered and has ADHD. I'll list his phobias as well..he has stage fright and is afraid of high heights, Apoidea and needles. He is also a bit shy and prone to staying quiet when he has an opinion. Andre also has no experience using weapons, but thats not to say he couldn't effectively use one.
Personality: Kind [But may try to show off], shy to strangers/new people, quiet [Except for when his ADHD kicks in], compassionate, quick-tempered and humorous, sometimes, whether successful or not.
Biography: Andre was born in the Aberdeen Regional Hospital, in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, which is supposedly one of the worst places in Canada, though its not as bad as it sounds like, probably. At 12 months he moved from Trenton where he lived for his, at the moment, short life to [Redacted], Stellarton. He first went to school at [Redacted] [Redacted] Elementary School only a minute or two away from his home. He always did poor in school early on, and was always seen as weird and strange. He needed a tutor to help him with reading, writing and math, and a doctor to help with his poor fine motor skills as a young child. Andre is now much more intelligent then before, and has much more friends than before, but struggles with math, science [Which he was always particularly fond of] and French, but does very well in ELA, 'Social Studies' and Healthy Living [Though its less him doing well, and more it being hard to get a bad mark, and everything being horrifically easy]. He was the subject of physical harm and threats from a neighborhood bully named Luke Young once. Now, after mysteriously going missing, is the subject of science..

His hobbies include/included gaming, surfing the web, watching things he shouldn't have, bowling [Not that he was good at it] and hanging out with animals.

Appearance: Black hair, acne ridden face, skinny build and lanky, about 5,9. Pale.
Skills: Quite adept at history, a self proclaimed social scientist, strong imagination... Fast runner.
Weaknesses: Flimsy fighter, quite a coward. Stutters when speaking.
Personality: Robert is a quiet kid when allowed to himself. He prefers to let other people start and lead conversations. More of a follower than a leader. Also quite patriotic of his country.
Biography: Robert was born in Terrell, Texas, in the United States. His dad was an abusive, alcoholic veteran and his mother was a tired housewife. Although his father mostly ignored him, his mother had loved him dearly. At school he was the target of bullying and the victim of thievery. Despite this, he was a good learner and developed an interest in history and social sciences. Even though he was a popular victim of bullying, he managed to gain a few friends throughout school.

Then, everything changed. In the middle of a heated and emotional argument between his father and mother, his father took several swings and accidentally killed his mother. Horrified, Robert ran away from home. His father tried to search for him, to no avail. Robert spent several days going house to house looking for shelter. Then, in the middle of the night, he was kidnapped and sent to a far away facility, forever forgotten by the rest of the world.

Personality: Gruff and straightforward on the outside, John is actually a softie on the inside. He always cares for those younger than him and makes it his job to see to their well being. Quite open when asked anything.
Biography: This MUST be at least two paragraphs

Born in 1953, John was the son of a returning soldier from World War Two. He was born in a small, rural Maryland town, near the border with West Virgina. He received decent schooling as a child, nothing spectacular though. As a boy, John worked on his father's farm and delivered newspapers for the local post office. He never once left the state and rarely left the town, the only time being when he and his father left for the Baltimore farmers market.

All that changed in 1971. John signed up with the local recruitment station for the United States Army. He loved his country and wished to follow in his fathers footsteps. He shipped out to Vietnam and took part in Duang- He valley offensive with his three best friends from the little Maryland town he grew up in. During one point in the battle, John and his three friend were surrounded by 120 Viet Cong on a little, rocky outcrop. His three friends fell quickly in battle, one two a grenade and the other two to rifle fire. John had to defend the outcrop by himself now. The enemy charged again and again and were thrown back by the lead pouring at them from John's M-60 machine gun. Eventually, American reinforcements arrived and John was awarded a Purple Heart for the injuries he sustained from a grenade blast( why he uses a cane) and a Medal of Honor.

John stayed in the Army when he returned home and married his high school sweetheart, Jane Kelly. They had three children. John retired from the Army at 56 as a staff Sergeant and three years later Jane died from Cancer. John, having nothing else to do with his life, decided to explore the world. He went missing from Kiev 6 months ago and was taken to this lab by an Unkown person, to be used as a test subject.
