Introduction

The Confederate States of Anagonia is a diverse, unique nation of individuals who typically reside along the countrysides of the large nation and avoid congested cities. A dominant, singular culture exists within the nation that is present in everyday life. At one time in its history, this "country-life" culture was overlayed with government propoganda and preachings of war-hawk strategy on a global scale. In present times, the "country-life" culture still persists, and is still dominant, however it is now complimented with a background of multicultural identies that are slowly gaining acceptance as a whole.

A powerful nation, the Confederacy exists as a testiment to the unity between three ancient ideals; Populism, Imperialism, and Conservatism. This can be traced back to the warring nations of Nodea Rudav, Drekamythia, and Anagonia in ancient times. Eventually, the three cultures and nations would merge under the Anagonian banner, forming a "United Republic" that would stand the test of time - until it didn't. The aftermath of its fall resulted in the formation of the Confederate States.

This Factbook exists to explain the inner workings of the Confederacy to those interested. Most of the included posts will go into detail concerning facts of government, or the space program, or various other topics that work within the Confederacy. Following this introduction, you will see the Table of Contents. Readers are greatly encouraged to look over all material pertaining to the Confederacy. Constitution of the Confederate States

PREAMBLE

On this day the 14th of September, 0 After United Republic, the founding of the Confederate States of Anagonia has taken place and shall be formally recognized. The People have banded together in unity to create a society in which the government shall never become overlord of their souls nor lives nor happiness nor future. It shall be recognized that the Government shall bend to the Will of the People, that said Government shall be moderated by the Military, that said Military shall protect and obey the Will of the People. That in no terms shall another form of government, calling itself Anagonian or otherwise with said People pertaining to the Confederate States, decide to doom the People without due cause and Justice for all mankind. That this Republic, henceforth formed, shall strive for the Freedom of the People and Liberty for all sapient life.

ARTICLE I - GOVERNMENT

The Government of the Confederate States shall consist of three branches of governance with the possibility of more should the People and the Government agree to a change of constitutional contract. Hereunto the branches shall consist of the Executive branch, the Legislative Branch, the Judicial Branch. That these branches of Government shall, with due mindset and sound judgment, lead the Nation as a whole into a better and prosperous future.

Section I - EXECUTIVE BRANCH
The Executive Branch shall consist of the Office of the President, the Office of the Vice President, and therein any cabinet positions saught appointed by the President and Vice President with Congressional Approval. That the Executive Branch shall have the legal and just responsibility to make decisions on behalf of the Confederate States of Anagonia. That therein the Executive Branch shall not be above reproach and the Voice and Will of the People.

Section II - LEGISLATIVE BRANCH
The Legislative Branch shall consist of the Grand Senate of the Confederacy and the Grand House of Confederate Representatives, under therefore the name of the Grand Congress of the Confederacy. That therefore the responsibility of the Grand Senate shall be the passing or rejecting of National laws and International Treaties that therefore are of relevance to the continued prosperity of the Confederacy. That therefore the Grand House shall have the responsibility of passing of laws pertaining to Internal and State-to-State relations. That therefore the Legislative Branch shall not be above reproach and the Voice and Will of the People.

Section III - JUDICIAL BRANCH
The Judicial Branch shall govern rightfully and by law the courts of the Confederacy under the Supreme Court of the Confederacy. That therein all decisions shall be made according to this constitution and any relevant documents passed by the Will of the People and the Congress that Governs according to that Will. That therefore all disputes of a State-to-State nature shall be resolved according to fairness in laws. That therefore the Judicial Branch shall be the final decision making Branch when all attempts to resolve a dispute shall fail. That therefore the Judicial Branch shall govern according to the laws the People have agreed to and be fair and just without political nor personal attachments to said decisions.

ARTICLE II - MILITARY

The Armed Forces of the Confederate States, hereunto referred to as the Military, shall act as Protector of the People of Anagonia from the Government and Outside Aggression. That therefore the Military shall obey all constitutional laws for the People, act according to the Will of the People, and be therefore the one factor that shall continue the Confederacy should it collapse in anarchy. That therefore if a government elected rightfully by the People shall become tyrannical and oppress the freedoms of the People it shall be the right of the Military, with the support and active motivation of the People, to overthrow said government and reestablish normal governing procedures according to this Constitution of the Confederate States. That it shall actively support good diplomatic relations with outside forces and support good relations between the states of the Confederate States.

Section I - MILITARY POLICE
The Military Police shall, at all times, act as the civil protection for the People of the Confederate States. It shall be the responsiblity of the Military Police to assist in all troubles, to maintain order when none is present, to establish a ruling body when all else has failed, to bring together the people of a community when order has ceased, to cooperate with a rebellion and bring mediation between the conflict, to properly address the concerns and issues of the People between the Government and Military, to establish set rules that shall ensure the safe continuation not only of the Confederacy, but that which of the People shall have rule of law, thereunto resolving conflicts between citizens and people of the Confederacy in a fair and just manner by rule of law, that all convicted shall be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, that all citizens have the right to representation and free appointment of attorney and therein a trail by jury of their peers.

ARTICLE III - RIGHTS AND LAWS

The Constitution of the Confederate States shall therefore be the foundation of the Anagonian Civilization no matter the change of government nor creed, that therefore by law this constitution shall adapt to the Will of the People and change according to vote by the People for the People and with approval by sane and just moderators within the Military. That therefore a judicial review of all decision and legislation desiring to change any wording and/or sections and/or articles within this Constitution shall be undertaken. That therefore the Rights and Laws governing the Lands under the Confederacy, hereunto known as Anagonia, hereunto known as The Land in which Anagonains Reside, shall be held sacred and protected from all foreign and domestic harm.

Section I - RIGHTS AND LAWS
The Rights of the People shall include the following, that therein the People shall have the Right to Freedom of Speech that therefore shall not be infringed by any law or any ruling and shall be held sacred. That therein the People shall have the Right to Freedom of Religion that therefore shall not be infringed by any law or any ruling and shall be held sacred. That therein the People shall have the Right to Freedom of the Press that therefore the Government and the Military shall not impose rulings upon the Press to restrict the freedom of information that therein any method of sending information by the people shall never be infringed by any law or any ruling and shall be held sacred. That the People shall have the Right to a Fair Trial thereunto referring to a trail by jury which by the defense shall be allowed to question without fear those who accuse and demand all relevant information pertaining to the trail that therefore is relevant and hereunto be ensured a fair and just trail. That therefore the People shall have the right to Keep and Bear arms which shall be known as weapons and firearms and knives and swords and any mechanism or tool for the defense and proper stability of order and law that therefore the People shall keep in times of peace and in times of war that therefore this right shall never be infringed upon by any law or any ruling and shall be held sacred that therefore under the situation of a criminal case said right shall be under the jurisdiction of the Military Police whom shall not infringe the rights of this Constitution. That the People have the Right to be free from improper seizure from the Government and Military and shall have the right to Private Property be held sacred and not infringed by any law or ruling that therefore this shall include the Right of the People to not be forced to harbor Military Personnel of any sort or kind without proper consent of said property owner that therefore this shall not be infringed by any law or ruling and held sacred. That the People shall have the Right to Freedom of Happiness and Long Life by their own means and not by the means of any tyrannical ruling of any governing body that therefore this shall be held sacred and not infringed by any ruling or law. That therefore any form of government ruled by this Constitution of the Confederate States never under risk of action by court of law and military veto take upon itself a state religion or thereafter any official recognition of any religion without a natural evolution of governance and vote by the Will of People, thereby ensuring no risk to the peace and prosperity and continuity of the Civilization of Anagonia. That therefore the Government and Military shall not, under any condition, infringe these rights or any other rights not mentioned hereunto in this Constitution pertaining to the Happiness and Long Life of the People, without consequence of the People overthrowing the Governing and Military bodies with the proper assistance of all Branches of Military and Military Police and then shall reform said government and military to properly conform to the Rights and Laws of this Constitution of the Confederate States.

ARTICLE IV - DIPLOMACY

For the betterment of the People of Anagonia, wherein any government or provisional entity exists agreed to by the People for the People, henceforth shall the Constitution of the Confederate States govern all diplomatic relations to properly define the meaning of beneficial and harmful to the Anagonian Civilization. Therefore shall it be stated in writing to be followed with due honor and responsibility, that therefore all diplomatic summits and relations shall be engaged without prejudice and judgment unless such prejudice and judgment is warranted by the actions of party being engaged by the Confederate States.

Section I - FOREIGN POLICY
Henceforth shall the Confederate States seek open relations with all nations and territories regardless of size and merit depending upon the fairness of treatment to the People of the nation and/or territory being engaged for relations. That therefore the permanent foreign policy can be adjusted depending upon the rightfully elected administration of the Confederate States within a set term, without consequences to adjustments to said policies within said term and extending to every term thereafter, that term shall define the limit thereby which the Executive and Legislative Branch shall be in Power, that thereby "in Power" shall define the term limit defined by vote by the People of the Confederate States and thereafter any governance holding the name of Anagonia. That therefore no relation shall be engaged that shall harm the continuity of existence of the Confederate States of Anagonia and thereafter any governance holding the name of Anagonia.

Section II - DECLARATIONS
Henceforth shall the Confederate States make declarations, hereby defined as Declarations of War, Declarations of Peace, Declarations of Annexation, Declarations of Colonial Expansion, and thereby any Declaration befitting, with due judgment and consent of the rule of law and rights held sacred by this Constitution of the Confederate States. That therefore any Declaration shall be enacted with the knowledge that such Declarations shall benefit the future of the Confederate States and/or its continuity and thereafter any governance holding the name of Anagonia. That thereby such Declarations shall be approved by the Legislative Body of the Confederate States and approved by the President of the Confederate States.

Section III - MILITARY VETO
Henceforth shall the Armed Forces of the Confederate States, thereby recognized as the Military, shall take the responsibility of reversing any Declaration and/or Policy and/or Treaty that shall endanger the existence of the Confederate States should such enacted policies, declarations and/or Treaties be seen to cause incurable harm to the continuity of the Confederate States and thereafter any governance holding the name of Anagonia. That henceforth shall VETO powers be approved or condemned and reversed through a Court of Law and thereafter a vote by the People of Anagonia should such ruling be in violation of this Constitution of the Confederate States.

ARTICLE V - EVOLUTION OF GOVERNANCE

Henceforth it is recognized by this Constitution of the Confederate States that the natural evolution of governance from Republic to any other form of government found beneficial to the People of Anagonia shall take place over the course of time and history. That therefore any change of governance shall be ruled by the Constitution without exemption with the possibility of vote by the People of Anagonia to change this Constitution of the Confederate States to better fit the society and civilization that has naturally through the Will of the People and without external influence evolved into a better, more capable form of governance. That thereby shall no exemption be made to the role of the Military of the Confederate States to protect the Life, Liberty, Freedom and Happiness of the People of Anagonia and ensure that the People of Anagonia be made to live prosperously under any form of governance that has taken shape through the evolution of the Civilization of Anagonia.

Henceforth from this day, September 14th, 0 After United Republic, shall this Constitution of the Confederate States be legally binding for all of the Anagonian Civilizations. That therefore shall this Constitution be seen as the guiding principle of said Civilization. That thereby shall it evolve accordingly to meet the Will and Happiness and Prosperity and Continuity of the People of Anagonia.

Articles of the Armed Forces of the Confederacy

PREAMBLE

The Confederate States Armed Forces, hereunto referred to as the Military as established by the Constitution of the Confederate States under Article II – MILITARY, has the priority of ensuring the continued existence of the Confederate States and therefore any continuation of Anagonia by providing civil protection as established under Article II, Section I of the Constitution of the Confederate States, and therefore the Freedoms and Will of the People as established under Article II – MILITARY of the Constitution of the Confederate States. These obligations shall therefore be taken with high consideration of the ultimate sacrifice needed in emergencies concerning the survival of the People and the Anagonian Civilization. Let it be known that the Military is the Guardian of these Confederate States and hereunto any Nation of Anagonia and the Protector and Mediator of the People of these Confederate States and hereunto any Nation of Anagonia established thereafter.

ARTICLE I – LIMITATIONS OF POWER

The Military of the Confederate States and hereunto any Nation of Anagonia established thereafter shall abide totally and without excuse to the laws and rights permitted to it under the Constitution of the Confederate States. That therefore shall the Military never engage, willfully or unwillingly, in the oppression and/or tyrannical rule of the People of Anagonia. That therefore shall the Military never be act against the Will and Rights of the People of Anagonia. That therefore shall the Military never destroy and/or change the Government of Anagonia without democratic due process and/or Will of the People. That therefore shall the Military abide by all rights given under Article II – MILITARY within the Constitution of the Confederate States. That therefore shall the Military never seek to openly or in secrecy plot and/or decide to change the Will of the People without proper consent of the People of Anagonia. That therefore shall the Military never act against the Government of Anagonia unless said Government consents to a decision that shall put at risk or endanger the continuity of the Constitution of the Confederate States, the People of Anagonia and the Nation of Anagonia.

ARTICLE II – MILITARY VETO

Under Article IV – DIPLOMACY under Section III – MILITARY VETO, has therefore the Military been given the responsibility of ensuring the continuity of the Constitution of the Confederate States, the People of Anagonia and the Nation of Anagonia. To better establish the role and responsibility of the Military it shall therefore be clarified that under no condition shall the Government with consent of itself and any branch of Governance seek to engage in policies, declarations and/or treaties that shall endanger or put at risk the continuity of the Civilization of Anagonia. That therefore if such policies, declarations and/or treaties are properly reviewed and understood shall the Military have the responsibility to act as the Protector, Guardian, Representative and Diplomat of the Civilization of Anagonia and therefore abolish said policies, declarations and/or treaties and abide by the Constitution of the Confederate States and shall therefore put into place policies, declarations and/or treaties that shall therefore conform and satisfy the laws and rights of the Constitution of the Confederate States. That therefore this reversal of government decision be put under review after said decision is undertaken in a COURT OF LAW abiding by the Constitution of the Confederate States and a vote by the People of Anagonia confirming approval or denial of decision, and therefore if found to be in violation of Article IV – DIPLOMACY under Section III – MILITARY VETO should said decision be reversed to the previous decision of the Government of Anagonia without consequence to the Military of Anagonia.

ARTICLE III – SECRET ACTIONS

For the benefit of the Continuity of Anagonia shall it be allowed that the Military undertake secret actions without open knowledge to the Government of Anagonia, without consent by the People of Anagonia, that therefore such secret actions be within proper economical limits, that therefore such secret actions be publicly made known should the People of Anagonia feel threatened by any secret action, that therefore all secret actions be placed in an openly viewed construct and/or establishment open to viewing by the People of Anagonia so that the People may voice said opinion on such actions. Henceforth shall it be known that if a secret action is undertaken without any knowledge and be kept under the highest of secrecy that shall the Military of Anagonia be permitted a ten year mark unto which said ten years shall be without knowledge to the public and government that therefore after said mark shall the Military reveal the details through proper discourse of all secret actions undertaken within said ten year mark for proper review by the People of Anagonia and the Government properly elected by said People of Anagonia. That therefore if a secret action shall violate in any manner the Rights, Laws, Limitations and Responsibilities held sacred by the Constitution of the Confederate States and the Articles of the Armed Forces of the Confederacy shall therefore it be the responsibility of all patriots to properly subdue and eliminate all resistance against following the Rights, Laws, Limitations and Responsibilities held sacred by the Constitution of the Confederate States and the Article of the Armed Forces of the Confederacy. That henceforth the Military Police, under Article II Section I of the Constitution of the Confederate States, be forced without any limitation to ensure the proper obligations of the Military be enforced and followed without exception that should said Military act against its responsibilities and obligations should the Military Police seek with support of the People by any manner necessary the proper submission of the Military to conform and satisfy the obligations held sacred by the Constitution of the Confederate States and the Articles of the Armed Forces of the Confederacy.

ARTICLE IV – SEPERATION OF GOVERNMENT AND MILITARY

That therefore it shall be established that the Military is a separate entity from the Government of Anagonia and therefore a tool and protector of the People of Anagonia, without consent of the Government to subdue the decisions and rebellions of the People of Anagonia, without responsibilities to the Government other than those established and held sacred within the Constitution of the Confederate States and the Articles of the Armed Forces of the Confederacy. That therefore shall it be known that the People have total authority of the Military known truly as its rightful protector and keeper of the continuity of Anagonia. That therefore the Government of Anagonia shall have control over the Military's actions under the condition of Rightful Vote of the People of Anagonia and therefore abide by such declarations established by the Congress or any Highest Congressional Body in the Nation of Anagonia.

ARTICLE V – EVOLUTION OF MILITARY

With the knowledge that the Military shall therefore evolve as shall the Constitution of the Confederate States, the Articles of the Armed Forces of the Confederacy and the People of Anagonia that shall the Military be permitted to evolve with proper moderation to keep under the rights and obligations and limitations held sacred by these Articles and Declarations. That therefore such evolution of power and responsibility shall always and forever take into account the People of Anagonia, the Will of the People, the Democratic Due Process and the Continuity of Anagonia. That, without exception, shall it be recognized that the Military must adapt, evolve and grow to better protect the People and Continuity of Anagonia. That therefore any additional Articles be only added through the Democratic Due Process of the People of Anagonia and the rightful consent with sound judgment and obligation to the Constitution of the Confederate States the Military of Anagonia.

Henceforth from this day, September 14th, 0 After United Republic, shall these Articles of the Armed Forces of the Confederacy be legally binding for all of the Anagonian Civilizations. That therefore shall these Articles be seen as the guiding principle of said Military. That thereby shall it evolve accordingly to meet the Will and Happiness and Prosperity and Continuity of the People of Anagonia and the ability of the Military to properly defend and continue said Will and Happiness and Prosperity and Continuity of the People of Anagonia.

Civil Protection


Diplomatic and Second National Flag of the Confederate States, used by the Military Police to symbolize the obligation to the People and Nation

Overview

Civil Protection is carried out by the Military Police due to long standing traditions within the Confederacy. It has long been believed that a military-based police force, obligated more to the defense of the People rather than the government itself, would better ease tensions within the nation as a whole. It was also believed that with military-grade training that a more professional and capable civil servant would be created who could abide by all laws provided. Statistics have shown that in 99.9% of incidents where the Military Police have been involved, there were no outstanding issues to do with the policemen themselves. This has further enforced the idea that a professional standing and obligation to the people has helped ensure that the Military Police keep the peace rather than be forced to enforce it through harsh measures.

Civil Unrest

During times of civil unrest, such as mass protests or general rebellion, the Military Police ensures that first and foremost the People are protected from all harm. According to the laws of the Confederacy, the People have all rights to protests publicly and privately any and all grievances to their government and/or relevant conditions. Normal procedure for unscheduled protests is to have a unit standby and protect private property while maintaining a distance from the protest in question. Should the protest get out of hand or become violent in any nature, it is the right of the MP to defend the people from harm and harming themselves. In such conditions the MP's will border off the protests and attempt to quell the violence in a diplomatic and peaceful manner. Should that fail, non-lethal force will be used to hamper any violence in the protests.

If a rebellion of any sort occurs in any city, county, state or region within the Confederacy the Military Police has the right to ensure that the people involved in the rebellion do not wish bodily harm upon their fellow man. If such a case is true, they will use aggressive non-lethal force to quell such rebellion. If lethal force is used against the MP during these times and no armored protection is capable of defending the MP or if a MP is injured, lethal force will be authorized under the law of "Protecting the Nation". Once said rebellion is quelled or calmed to a more proper diplomatic fashion, a council will be formed between the government and the People to address the issues that initiated the rebellion. The Military Police is required by law to moderate and oversee the meeting between the two parties and ensure that the People benefit the most from the outcome, so long as said outcome does not dissolve the Confederacy in any manner.

Normal Procedures

The normal Operating Conditions of the Military Police is to provide comfort and aid to all citizens, both foreign and domestic, within the Confederacy. They are obligated to respond to calls concerning possible violations of set law within a city, county, state and/or region. Professionalism and respect is key when an MP is on duty, as laws require that the Military Police maintain the stance as the mediator during times of peace. If at any point an MP violates these codes and protocols corrective action is to be immediately taken to ensure the safety of the public. Above all it is the responsibility of the Military Police to use any and all measures according to the level of seriousness within any known or unknown situation to ensure the continued right of every Anagonian to seek their right to happiness and fulfillment with minimal government and criminal interference.

Additional Information

The Confederate Military Police are both protectors and police for the people.

The following is what all MP's must learn when making an arrest. It is simply termed "Citizen Rights".

"You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. I, Officer <insert officer name here> have placed you under arrest for the following: <insert crime list here plus severity>. By the Constitution of the Confederate States, you are obligated to have a proper defense should you be brought to court. An attorney will be granted to you free of charge by the government of the Confederate States. If you choose to represent yourself you will be given proper introduction in civil defense also free of charge. Do you understand what I have said?"

The Officer will then explain the situation should the response be "No".

Standard Operating Vehicles

The Military Police can usually be seen patrolling in Humvee's, M1117 Armored Security Vehicles or the more mundane Patrol Car which encompasses a variety of vehicle classes depending on the budget of the county or state. There are no standard restrictions on vehicle classes, however with the M1117 ASV any lethal weaponry is strictly kept in reserve until such a time as a national emergency, such as an invasion of foreign forces.

-S/A AdkM75 Semi-Automatic Rifle Cal 7.62

The S/A AdkM75 was designed by Strovaria-Aldkhaznywrengh Armaments specifically for use by the Confederate Marine Corps. The combination of unique alloys and the structure of the weapon make it capable of withstanding the harshest of environments, perfect for any Marine in the field. It fires the standard 7.62 NATO round currently in use by Anagonian forces. The weapon itself is semi-automatic and capable of extremely accurate shots up to five hundred yards. A single clip holds twenty(20) rounds and comes standard with four clips per rifle. It comes with the optional Tactical Sight Optics that can be utilized when encountering long range forces or for more accurate shots.

The S/A AdkM75 is easily maintained. The rifle comes a part in three sections taking a total of a minute to complete. For the standard Marine to maintain the weapon, they would first detach the butt using a provided allen wrench inside the butt. They would then unscrew the barrel from the frame and from there easily detach the parts that make up the firing mechanism and other relevant parts. From there, tests have shown that proper cleaning takes up to two minutes followed by an additional minute to put the weapon back together. In total, a standard operator should only have to spend four minutes to properly maintain the S/A AdkM75.

The "S/A" Stands for Strovaria-Aldkhaznywrengh. The "A" stands for Anagoniakhornii, translated as Anagonian. The "dk" stands for Damkhril Kogr, translated as "small arm". The "M" stands for Mrenkhenr, translated as "rifle". 75 is the designation number given by the manufacturer.

Light Carriers
Boxer-Class Light Carrier(CVL)

When in a situation where a Fleet Carrier is considered overkill, but requires airpower, there’s only one thing that can scratch that itch, a Light Aircraft Carrier. To fulfill this need, Hypersphere Technologies has developed the Boxer-Class CVL. Having been in service for several years now in the Belkan Kaiserliche Marine, the Boxer is a capable warship with enough firepower to tackle a small fleet on its own.

The air wing for the Boxer can vary, but due to the size of the elevators, the planes are limited in size to smaller aircraft such as the Harrier & Hornet with the E-2 as the largest it’ll hold. While for regular carriers this would be a fatal flaw, the Boxer is a light carrier and Harriers & Hornet-size aircraft are just what was envisioned being operated from her decks. But the air wing isn’t the only bit of offensive hardware at the Boxer’s disposal. Mounted just behind the Island is a 36 cell Mk. 41 Strike-length VLS, capable of holding any missiles that’ll fit in the VLS system. The standard payload with in the Belkan Kaiserliche Marine is 8 Fasthawks, 8 VLS Harpoons, & 36 ESSM for defense. Supporting the ESSMs is a Phalanx Bk. II mount on top of the bridge and a SeaRAM just past the Mk. 41 VLS.

Among the many sensors on board the Boxer is the prominent radar mast. Based on the Thales APAR X-Band radar, the Hoffnung Technologies designed Camelot Radar Mast is an improvement to the APAR as its effective range has been increased from 150 km to 225 km. Mounted on top of the Camelot Mast is another product from Hoffnung, the LIGHT-M VLR S-Band Radar meant to detect any incoming aircraft long before it reached the Carrier, up to 400km out.

After the Fletcher-Class FFG was designed and construction started, a proposal was put further by the team of engineers who developed the Fletcher. Called the Stealth Fleet Initiative, design and built a series of ships based on the general design of the Zumwalt & Fletcher classes to create all the ships needed to form an All Stealth Fleet. To fill the Battleship role, the North Carolina-Class Nuclear-powered Guided Missile Battleship was created.

Like the other ships in the Stealth Fleet Initiative, the North Carolina-Class was named after a famous WWII Era Class Leader of the same type of ship, in this case, the Battleship North Carolina. When it became time for the SFI Committee to name the ship, 4 names were put forth; Iowa, Montana, South Dakota, & North Carolina. The first two names were struck almost immediately due to both ships still being in service with navies around the world. As for the last two, the committee was divided to the point that a coin toss was used to choose the name, Heads for NorCar & Tails for SouDak. Needless to say, the coin landed on Heads.

Her design is that of a Trimaran, a main hull with 2 outrigger hulls that hold the secondaries and extra aviation fuel for the helicopters that operate off the North Carolina. The Trimaran design was chosen due to it being a very stable gun platform and the speed increase that comes with the design. To cut down on costs, the North Carolina-Class shares many features with its smaller cousin in the Stealth Fleet Initiative, the Alaska-Class Cruiser. Among these are its power plant, sonar package, and the biggest of all, the Deck House with all the radars.

While she doesn’t have the number of guns that her namesake has, the North Carolina’s 8 16” guns fire several different types of shells & rounds which puts this modern ship ahead of her older incarnation. The standard shell fired from her is a product out of Birkaine, a Scramjet Assisted Armor Piercing High Explosive (SJ-APHE) Shell.

Other shells fired are bomblet dispensing shell, a Sabot round utilizing a Base Sabot and a 8” ERGM, and the normal High Explosive shell. To compliment the North Carolina’s big guns is 14 5” secondary guns based on the AGS & the Mk. 45 Mod 4. Using the mount of the AGS as a base, it was fitted to the proven Mk. 45 Mod 4 gun and its below deck autoloader. In addition to the gun of the North Carolina are 208 Strike-Length VLS Cells mounted on the sides of the helicopter landing pad. To defend the North Carolina are 5 25mm Linebacker CIWS & ESSMs from the Mk. 57 PVLS.

During Marine landings on foreign soil, the Armed Forces found that they lacked a platform that could both deliver devastating damage and carry forward a small expeditionary force capable of dealing with Police Actions. So the Confederacy commissioned the Imperial Royal Shipyards to design and construct a platform capable of delivering the desired results. After a lengthy process, the Lexington-Class Battlecarrier was soon completed.

The middle and fore are totally reminiscent of the Iowa-class Battleship which has served the Confederate Marines well during their times. Missile launchers complete the picture making the Lexington-Class an extremely capable fighting machine.

Overview: The Voleur class is Yanitaria's newest nuclear attack submarine, and is slated to replace the current, aging fleet of Shchucka-B's.

Not much is known about the Voleur class, except what the Yanitarian government has released, and several rumours circulated over the internet that may or may not have any validity. It is also not known in what numbers they have been produced, or if they have even been put into production yet. However, recent activity in the Okhotsk submarine ship yards suggests that production is in full swing.

A leaked government report suggests that the Voleur Class is extremely quiet, and much harder to track than the older submarines serving with the Yanitarian Royal Navy. It is unknown what armament the Voleur class carries.

It is known that the Voleur Class, if put into production, will only be sold to the closest allies of Yanitaria.

PROJECT MONTANA is a Special Project initiated by the Confederate States Navy to recycle and reuse the 16-inch guns and battery turrets on decomissioned Iowa-class Battleships.
Instead of scrapping the turrets, reusing the stored turrets would appear to be more cost effective in the long run. Plans for a Super Battleship are being modified after the BB-67 Montana-class Super Battleship designs. Research is ongoing to the costs and feasability of the project, including the timeframe for hull construction and turret recycling. The ship, if approved, would mainly be used as a fleet support ship to suppliment ground invasions and offer fleet protection.

Government Overview

The Government of the Confederate States was created into existance by the signing of the Constitution of the Confederate States after the collapse of the government of the United Republic of Anagonia. Prior to the formation of the Confederacy, the government was a more federally-based, centralized entity that exhibited power over the nation through various means. This lead to an overbearing, and extremely over-confident government that eventually collapsed in the aftermath of a World War. The government of the Confederate States was thereafter established by fourteen surviving members of the old government following the collapse, with full intention to never repeat the mistakes that led to such a powerful and corrupt governing entity.

In modern times, the government of the Confederate States acts a mediator between the various states within the Confederacy. It has centralized authority over national matters, and enacts defense and civil protection through the use of the Military, but exhibits very little authority in state matters until authorized by those states to do so. The Congress of the Confederacy continues its constitutional obligation to ensure a clear line of communication between the states and government, and enacts the will of the people through representatives of those states to and through the government.

Military - Overview

The Military of the Confederate States was established into law with the signing of the Constitution of the Confederate States, and thereafter regulated by the Articles of the Armed Forces of the Confederacy. The military leadership has the legal authority to VETO any congressional or government action that would endanger the wording and purpose of the Constitution and, accordingly, the People the military was created to defend. It cannot, in any capacity, initiate a military takeover of the government - except by election of military officials who may run for office. It additionally has the responsibility of civil protection through the Military Police, as established by the Constitution.

Each state within the Confederacy maintains a militia of fighting men and women for the purpose of defense through compuslary military service laws. Depending on the avenue an individual takes after their mandatory term, they can continue their service in the national Confederate Military which includes all branches of the Confederate Armed Forces; Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, National Guard, Special Forces, Defense Forces and Orbital Defense. The Military is intended to act not only as protector of the people it serves, but also as mediator between disputes of states and individuals, as established in the constitution.

After the fall of the United Republic of Anagonia, the communications network linking the citizens and cities of Anagonia to one another began to degrade rapidly. Economy - Overview

The Confederate States has established firmly a market-oriented economy depending on the private individual and business to maintain it with little interference from the central government. The state governments within the Confederate States occasionally purchase needed supplies from the private marketplace with little to no help from any state-owned business. The Arms Manufacturing Industry and other corporations enjoy great leeway in the market-oriented economy with little interference from the central government. Limitations are put into place only by state governments with heavy limitations and restrictions only considered enforced if a majority of states agree. The current economy is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing Industry and an up-and-coming Aerospace Industry at the forefront of Aerospace Technology. The Ship Manufacturing Industry comes as a close third being supported by the Mining Industry which dominates state economies. People - Overview

The People of the Confederate States are as diverse as they are unique. Each region of the nation and each state exhibit their own special flavor of culture, with much having adapted and evolved over the centuries. Many tourists who visit the nation eventually decide to settle down, contributing further to the unique culture of whichever town or city they happen to inhabit. A very welcoming people by nature, the Confederate citizens of Anagonia tend to be open-minded to various social issues, so long as they do not infringe on the basic moral fabric that binds the nation together. A prime example of this is the nations openness towards homosexuality, as it exists as a natural state that is rarely placed into question. Issues such as abortion, however, are highly contested due to the believed avoidance of the act.

The two main ethnic groups of the nation that are considered "Native" existed well before the founding of the United Republic. The first group exist as Native Anagonians, those who arrived first thousands of years ago and were the first to encounter the Dragons of Drekamythia and establish the national religion of Drekanity. The next batch was Anglo-Saxons, or Caucasions, which came only a mere hundred years later. The two groups coexisted, due in large part to Drekanity and the Dragons themselves. Later immigrants would cause civil strife as nations developed in the areas now forming the nation as a whole. Foreign ideals, foreign ways, would contribute to a period of division that would ultimately end in the formation of the United Republic.

The Confederate States of Anagonia continues this tradition of maintaining, preserving, and keeping the peace between the various inhabitants of the country. While racism exists towards immigrants from other nations, the populations of these nations are low, and typically stay out of the way of society or eventually leave the country altogether.

The exception to this is the very low, very secluded non-human population that was saved from genocide during United Republic. These tribes purposefully seclude themselves in various communities to continue their traditions in peace, and their children occasionally grow to be given a choice to either assimilate into Anagonian society or continue living in the communities. History
The total loss of the colonial administration within Anagonia, put in place under the prior governing body of the United Republic, took away proper representation from the provinces of Drekamythia and Nodea Rudav. Without any contigency to resort to, the two ex-provinces declared themselves Sovereign Nations as the collapsing administration within Anagonia struggled to regain cohesion. Following the intervention of the Anagonian Military in the crisis, the government of the Confederate States was established and put into law, and a proposition to reestablish and continue relations with the two ex-provinces was put into effect. From this turmoil was the United Continental Confederation brought into being, designed to respect the two newly sovereign nations of Nodea Rudav and Drekamythia and also provide a way to maintain the peace between the three nations.

Purpose
The United Continental Confederation serves as a fair and just voice for the relations and concerns of its three primary member-states; The Confederate States of Anagonia, The Soviet Union of Nodea Rudav, the Imperial Empire of Drekamythia. Prior to the establishment of the UCC, all three nations had existed under a single government, known as the United Republic of Anagonia. The Colonial Affairs Administration within the United Republic had provided ample representation and conflict resolution for Nodea Rudav and Drekamythia, providing also a proper office to submit requests for infrastructure improvements, interstate maintence, and ease of trade. Following the events that led to the collapse of the Colonial Affairs Administration, the UCC was put into effect to continue the shared responsibility of trade and interstate maintence while respecting the sovereignty of its member-states by providing a voice for conflict mediation and economic cooperation.

Structure
The United Continental Confederation is a supra-national governing body established by agreed upon non-aggression treaty with the intent to further economic, social, and military cooperation between its member-states. Treaties are enforced strictly by agreement by member-state cooperation, with no policing entity to enforce guidelines other than trust of responsibility. The entire structure of the UCC consists of the UCC council, where a single representative from each member-nation resides, and the UCC Administration.

The UCC Council bares the responsibility of properly representing the concerns and issues of member-states and establishing treaties and laws to properly advance the interests of its member-states. Any law that funds, establishes, or continues an agreed-upon treaty or responsibility will be discussed, debated and finalized in the UCC Council. Every five years the UCC Council elects a Head of Council, a representative whose job it is to present and discuss issues presented to and pertaining to the UCC, but has no overall veto or administrative responsibility within the UCC Council.

The UCC Administration acts as the financial body of the United Continental Confederation. All agreed-upon funds that assist in maintaining active and newly established treaties flows through and is maintained by the UCC Administration. Representatives from each member-state maintain an equal staff in the UCC Administration. Unlike the UCC Council, the UCC Administration does not elect a head. Instead, whatever nation is chosen as the Head of Council within the UCC Council handles the responsibility during that specific administration for overseeing fund distribution.

The flag has a red background with a blue cross stationed center and to the edges of the rectangular surface taking up the background. Within the horizontal section of the blue cross is three golden stars. The red background represents the duty and honor of the UCC to maintain and keep the peace between the member-states. The blue cross represents the respected sovereignty of all member-states. The golden stars represent the founding members of the UCC; Anagonia center, Drekamythia to the right, Nodea Rudav to the left.

The Anagonian Continent is comprised of three separate, independent nations that are deeply intertwined on an economic, societal, and historical level. At one point during the history of Anagonia, all three nations existed as a whole nation under the governmental banner of a United Republic. After the subsequent collapse of the United Republic, the provinces of Nodea Rudav and Drekamythia declared independence from Anagonia proper and continue into the modern era as Sovereign Provinces. While all three nations work together closely to continue mutual cooperation and economic partnership, it would be remiss to declare the two Provinces under any authority of the modern-day Confederate States of Anagonia.

Interstate Map

The Interstate Highway network that exists in modern-day Anagonia was established and constructed under the government of the United Republic of Anagonia for the purpose of easily dispatching military assets and economic resources where needed across the vast nation. After the fall of the United Republic, the Confederate States took responsibility of the Interstate Highway network and expanded it accordingly to meet the future economic needs of the nation and its neighboring Sovereign Provinces.

Explanation of Date Measurement
After the collapse of the United Republic in the year 1986, a new standard of calendar measurement was adopted to signal what was believed to be the beginning of a new era. Known formally as the "Anagonian Calendar Standard", this region-specific calendar measurement adopted the majority of the Gregorian standards (i.e. months, days, weeks, holidays). The only two notable changes are the abbreviation for the calendar standard, AUR or After United Republic, and the general numerical restart of the calendar that begins with "Year Zero" in Gregorian 1986 and counts progressively upward from that point. The easiest method to translate an Anagonian year is to reference Year Zero as Gregorian year 1986 and count forward from that point. For example, the modern year in Anagonia is 120 AUR, which in Gregorian would be 2106 AD.

Importance of Year Zero
Year Zero (0 AUR, 1986 AD) defines the year in which the United Republic formally collapsed and the battles for Unification which led to the formal institution of the government of the Confederate States. During this time, the remnants of the United Republic Military under the leadership of Master Sergeant Tiberius Samsus waged a battle for reunification to bring order to the collapsed nation. These battles of reunification, historically referred to as the "Wars of Unification", brought swift and decisive victories for Tiberius' cause and ushered him forward as the figurehead for the new Confederacy. Most of the leaders he fought, if not all, would eventually become signatories to the new Constitution of the Confederate States, forever sealing them as the Founding Members of the new government. It is through this year that the majority of historians learn of the founders past, their influence in their decisions, and the importance of the unification and eventual agreement when they became signatories. These events, in essence, become the defining characteristics of the nation as a whole and helped craft and instruct generations to follow.
