A new era of geopolitics has arisen across the planet: that of factionalism. Three major factions continue to fight for influence and members, as well as resources and population.

The first major faction to come to power was the VEDRUPOL Pact, whose goals were to fight for European control of Europe. The nations of VEDRUPOL attacked the Nationalist Gold Union and kicked the nation out of North Africa and Europe entirely. While VEDRUPOL sits quite stagnant in this day and age, its purpose still stands.

The next major faction to come along was the Shanghai Cooperation Pact, shortened as the SCO. The SCO, founded by the large then-disorganized McFreedomstan, was created to defend the Asian continent as well as the Pacific Ocean. The SCO saw action when McFreedomstan attacked the Asian territories of the NGU, which resulted in the NGU releasing the colonies and a restructuring of the SCO. The SCO also had issues with one of its members, Kohlneas, who was determined "too dangerous" due to ambitious expansion in Africa.

The third major faction is the Kaiserbund. The Kaiserbund was formed between the Nationalist Gold Union and Vanavoy after monarchists and reactionaries prevailed superior in both nations' civil wars. While Vanavoy has been re-arming it's borders with Noxtrem, the NGU has adopted a pro-American doctrine for the Kaiserbund which resulted in the majority of American nations joining. The Kaiserbund's goals and stated purposes have been considered backwards and controversial, but it hasn't failed to gather a large amount of members. The Kaiserbund has recently had issues with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization after the American nation of Alorn joined the SCO. The Kaiserbund put troops along the Alornian border, which has sparked a diplomatic crisis that has yet to be resolved...

This new generation of international affairs has created a situation that would make the next one even more dangerous...

Noxtrem and Vanavoy are two predominantly Germanic states in Western Europe, whose borders have met along the Rhine River for hundreds of years. During the span of those centuries, there have been territorial wars fought along the Rhine to annex key strategic masses of land along the river.

These territorial wars were generally agitated by the Noxtremians against the Vanavoians, and the Vanavoians generally came out on the losing side. Over the course of these Rhine wars, the nation of Vanavoy lost heaps of land to the ever-growing Noxtremian armies.

One of the results of these Rhine wars was the occupation of nations that weren’t culturally tied to their occupier, such as the Dutch (who were occupied by the Noxtremians). This resulted in separatist movements, which were faced with police crackdowns. These crackdowns only further angered the populations of these nations.

The year is 2021 now, and several decades have passed since the last war between Noxtrem and Vanavoy. The Vanavoians have won a civil war in which they overthrew the socialist government and replaced it with a monarchy. This new order has hinted at intentions to push their borders across the Rhine and re-foster its long-lost territories. The Noxtremians are well aware of Vanavoian intentions, and with the hundreds of Noxtremian tanks and soldiers along the river-border, it seems that any day somebody will fire a first shot.

With chauvinism and sepratism on the rise in Noxtrem, and revanchism and imperialism on the rise in Vanavoy, it seems only reasonable that the two powers will need to face off. The question is: how can these two nations have a scuttle over territory without turning it into a global conflict?

Kaiserbund Aggression

Despite frequent offers of mutual demilitarization and non-aggression pacts, the nations of Kaiserbund (sans Vanavoy and Standevia) have all opted to escalate. It is noteworthy to take Miltonian support for fellow SCO member Panjal's conquest as a sign of de-escalation, but other members have yet to follow suit. It is advised to continue reinforcing Alorn in order to ensure the security of the populace from increased Kaiserbund border activity. The nation of Freed Lymonia, after a petty spat with the SCO twitter account, threatened to bomb our population centers. We will pursue any and all routes to swift and immediate resolution of the Lymonian threat. While diplomacy is preferred, we won't back down from a full scale war. Lymonia's allies will be considered neutral until proven otherwise should it come to that. SCO protection will be guaranteed to our nation seeing as they made the declaration of hostilities.

Mehmed Al Rabin announces troop decrease, military spending increase; Abraham Weiss announces $100 billion in tourism efforts

We at the chronicle are pleased to report that in accordance with Director of Commerce Abaraham Weiss' vision for a future Kohlneas, $100 billion is to be allocated to the renovation and development of Kohlneasian tourism worldwide. This includes the completion of construction of the Kohlneasian Paradise Island south of Jakarta, the Badarim-Aden Hotel and Resort on the Gulf of Aden (known colloquially as the Kohlneasian Gulf), the Aratu Towers in Kohlneas, a complete renovation of the Kohlneasian International Airport, and a massive advertising campaign to be conducted worldwide.

In response to the recent vote by Standevians to cancel plans of an artificial island off their shores, Weiss said "Simple people cannot understand the complex. This is a problem we in Kohlneas have dealt with as far back as our revolution in 1922, and as recent as the conflicts in the Suez, and now, the Standevian vote. We part with our plans of a grand Kohlneasian island without hard feelings, and we hope to deal with the Standevians in the future to create a more prosperous, equitable, and pleasant world for our citizens."

Mehmed Al Rabin, Director of Defense, is one Kohlneasian Director who is not feeling welcome after the recent partnership with McFreedomstan. Word from top sources in the Thirteenth Directorate hint at the aging General growing restless. He has greatly reduced the active and reserve fighting force of the Kohlneasian Defense Forces to 200,000 (100k active/reserve). Yet at the same time, he has asked for increase to 12% GDP towards their equipment, procurement, and wages, with billions allocated towards strengthening the Kohlneasian submarine fleet. It would seem as though Al Rabin is seeking to create a smaller, more elite force capable of responding to regional and international threats - yet we cannot deny that these same troops would owe their rise and allegiance to Al Rabin. Time will tell if he is truly satisfied with the new arrangement with McFreedomstam, or if he has other, more nefarious goals.

Today Ross Peutan sent out a statement for the people of Worris on the official Worrisian website (worris.gov), claiming he just wants peace in Worris and America in general. His statement is down below.

"Hello, great citizens of Worris. I am releasing this statement to say that I request peace in Worris and America. For too long has the world been at arms with eachother. Some because of the most useless ideas and some for more. In the past, Worris has joined these wars because of our ideals and got thousands, and hundreds of thousands of Worrisian deaths. Now, with my leadership, Worris won't join any wars unless provoked by another nation. We also won't join wars unless it is a faction war. I believe that the previous leaderships of General Don Cortez and President Matt Warn have emphasized that we join wars we don't belong in. I don't want to join these wars. If Worris doesn't have to be in these wars than we don't have to. Wars such as the one with Kundistan has been useless for us. When things like the Kundistan genocide happens, or it is a problem or something wrong in another country, Worris should stay out of it. I hope this message resonates with you how important it is that we stay out of these wars unless provoked by another nation or asked by our faction to join them.

In summary, Ross Peutan's statement basically means that he wants to prevent wars that we don't belong in and won't join wars unless another nation declares war on Worris or a faction war occurs that we have to be in. He believes that doing this will make it so Worrisian soldiers don't have to die in wars that we don't need to be in. He believes that these soldiers should fight a fight that we should be in and not a war that we shouldn't.

Military Projects Update

It has been revealed by the Jerusalemite government that all the current naval and air projects are either on or slightly ahead of schedule. This comes after a slight funding boost a few weeks ago to said projects.

All ships in construction are expected between December 2021 and January 2022. Modern aircraft will continue to be constructed as well. Despite military projects, King Isaiah ensures the populace that all projects are simply defensive and he hopes that peace will continue to prosper within our nation.

Ramat Casino

Updates have also been given as to the progress of the Ramat Casino. The hotel portion of the facility is ahead of schedule and will be nearing completion in the coming months. The casino itself and other portions of the facility will finish contruction by the end of the year.

The facility is expected to open within the first quarter of 2022. More information on the casino will be given as it becomes available.

Agriculture

In a meeting with many of the top names in the Jerusalemite agriculture industry, King Isaiah announced he would like to step up agriculture exports and revitalize industry as a whole. As such, many companies who can grow native fruits and grains, such as cherries, hazelnuts, apricots, figs, and much more, announced that they will be expanding and employing. This employment drive should appeal to any unemployed citizens of the Jerusalemites. If work has been hard to come by, this could be your chance. Citizens are also reminded that the oil fields are also excellent places to seek work.

Heightened Security Level for Regions to the West

In the event of the recent actions made by our new ally, Panjal, we have decided to increase the security on the western border, bordering the country of Kata. It is the duty of every Trumplandian soldier to warn Katian refugees to turn back or they will be detained. We believe that this redirection of resources to the west will help bring stability to the region.

We don't expect this conflict to last too long but if push comes to shove, we will have troops on stand by waiting to invade Kata (With the SCO's approval of course). But our intentions are not a war with the people of Kata, they are to keep them a neutral state...for now.

Malikay Shifts Funding Once Again to Military Defense
Malikays new project "Operation Sea Eagle" is scheduled to commence today. This project is targeted at once again, shifting the funding more towards military, specifically aimed at ground forces and air forces. We will begin production on the new Knight XVs all terrain vehicles as well as the SU-33s. We still have some remaining Su-35s that are to be put into this operation as well. Along with this we will begin construction on a small air base on the southern outskirts of the city Nalsk. Further updates about the operation will be posted in the future.

A look in at Mihangel Griffiths, the new diplomat of Worris

Last week, Gerard Colton, the old diplomat of Worris died after shooting a man in the room he stayed at in the APSIA Diplomatic Headquarters. He was found shortly after he shot the man and Colton had tried to fight the guards and was close to shooting one of them, but he ended up getting shot. His private funeral was held on July 5th. It is unknown why Colton shot the man, or who the man was he shot. It is believed that he was called by an unknown person and was drinking booze and walked into the room and shot the man. He then likely ran out of the room, through the window or the door and got outside to the yard. He had seen guards and pointed his gun towards them but he was shot by one of the guards.

He has been replaced by a man named Mihangel Griffiths. Mihangel Griffiths was born in Worris, but his parents come from The Miltonia. He is married and is 54 years old. He is 6'9 and has a deep voice. Before he became the speaking voice of Worris in diplomatic conferences, Griffiths worked at other government jobs. After he went to law school, he became a lawyer and did the famous "Jessington Murder" case in 1995. He wanted to stay in Mam, the city he spent most of his life in. He was a lawyer until 2000, when Jo Warn, the leader at the time, approached him and asked him if he could be an advisor of Law. Mihangel Griffiths approved and begrudgingly moved to Warsh.

Griffiths had finished his term in 2005 and wanted to be a diplomat after doing tons of public speaking. He had asked Jo Warn to be a diplomat but Warn refused. Griffiths started a dislike of the Presidential system of Warsh. He did a lot of public speaking and peaceful protesting and he had started to make a name for himself as a protester. He eventually met his wife, a who had moved from Eloria because of the civil War. The two married in 2010. Mihangel Griffiths kept on protesting until Matt Warn, the current president at the time approached him about being a diplomat. He said he was impressed by his public speaking. Griffiths wanted to be one so Warn said that he would assign him as a diplomat in 2012. He never did.

Griffiths was mad when Barbra Saunders was made head diplomat and leader of all diplomatic affairs. Barbra Saunders was laid out to be a manipulative and problem-making diplomat and governmental officer. Griffiths kept on protesting on social media and in the streets. Griffiths did this until Don Cortez took over. He was excited for a change in the government and more excited to have a chance to be a diplomat that represented Worris. He approached Don Cortez in email and in person. He became mad when Saunders continued to be diplomat after the meetings Cortez and Griffiths had.

In 2020 Barbra Saunders died of natural causes and was replaced by Gerard Colton. Griffiths started to give up on his protested and started exploring the world with his wife. He came back to Worris in 2021 when Gerard Colton got himself killed and approached Ross Peutan about being the head diplomat. Ross Peutan looked at his background and told him that he would let him be a diplomat.

Griffiths has had a long history of public speaking and is now the current diplomat of Worris. He is skilled and WBN believes that he will fullfill his job as head diplomat of Worris.

State Emergency Ministry of War July 10, 2021 Rioting and Assassination of Rebecca Petry A few minutes ago, just after signing orders for the military of Noxtrem to begin strikes against the rebellious Nether-Rheinland state, former chancellor Petry was shot in her personal limousine, from the street. The man was a dutch nationalist named Conrad Aleta. Petry was declared dead moments ago. Hannover is under control of the Army until further notice, and the country will be administered by the Bundestag temporarily. Petry's car was not armored, as this is the first political assassination in the history of Noxtrem. Conrad Aleta has been apprehended by police in Hannover. The Hannoverian airport has been closed, and the city is on lockdown. The Rapid Response Force is preparing for measures to be taken against local dutch independence groups. Rest In Peace Mrs. Petry. Riots have also broken out across the Noxtremian western states between dutch independence forces and police forces, the military will be overseeing retaliation against these too. African Territorial Expansion Declaration

Further expansion into the Mittelafrika region has progressed well. Most expansion has been done on along the coast, and a de jure colonial government to replace any existing authorities in the claimed region (below) and as such Vanavoian law now applies to the region. Military outposts have been concentrated in parts of the jungle where civilian life cannot be properly supported until proper infrastructure is built. Further construction of roads and rail lines will continue within the next few months. The extraction of diamonds and oil from Mittelafrika has started with the creation of the Imperial Resources Charter which has opened multiple diamond mines, with more planned to open soon. Since the Socialist administration failed to control Vanavoian overseas territories, many of the resources that would have otherwise been harvested during the 1950s through 1990s were never accessed, preserving huge metal, oil, and mineral deposits.

Protests and Riots Across Western Noxtrem

After the assassination of former chancellor Petry, western Noxtrem has been struck by a series of protests by anti-military leftist groups, and pro-dutch organizations. The new government, headed by Reichspräsident Johann Erdeburg and the military organized National Council, has deployed military forces to disperse the riots, which are doing serious property damage in western cities such as Cologne and Bonn. The National Council chose to dismiss Henri Schmidt as mayor of Bonn, and the military has locked down areas of the city. Our reporters, who are currently in the thick of the protests report being hit with tear gun, and the government has confirmed that it is arresting protesters. Citizens are encouraged to stay home and avoid the violence.

However, the scene in eastern Noxtrem is quite different! A few thousand people turned out for pro-government rallies in Dresden and Berlin. Many of which carried patriotic flags, and marched in the streets to show their support for the armed forces. Several militia groups came out to march and help provide basic security for the events. The organizer of the event is a break-off group of the Nationalist Party of Noxtrem, calling themselves the National Populists. These national populists broke off after the election of Petry, but are enthused by the adoption of several policies they support by the military officals and other politicians serving on the national council.

Border Preparations

Due to the recent change of alliances and a buildup of military forces, Ubizytotskan High Command has authorized the deployment of 4 infantry divisions and 2 armor divisions to the Northern Border. This will consist of 99,000 personnel and equipment/vehicles.

Ubizytotskan Troops arrive in the Northernmost provinces of Ubizytotska.

Our military bases in the North have also been put on notice and are set to deter any offensives; this will include AA-grids, artillery positions and personnel preparing for any type of combat.

Development of the STARGAZER HOTEL & CASINO on BUAKIRI / CONSTRUCTION of the PACIFIC PARADISE HOTEL near JAKARTA

Kohlneas is proud to announce construction of the Stargazer Hotel & Casino on the Buariki island, part of the Aranuka Atoll. At roughly 4.5 miles long, Kohlneas will undergo a mass, artificial expansion of the island, doubling the size and connecting it to other parts of the atoll. STARGAZER will be a 5-star hotel up to Kohlneasian Hospitality Standards. It will be a venue for wealthy citizens and politicians around the world to come and witness rocket launches from Taekhuman into space. STARGAZER is projected to bring in $3.5 billion in its first year of operation. STARGAZER is slated to open in 2022. Please make a note in your publication that STARGAZER will be built DIRECTLY on the equator and will be adjacent to one of Taekhuman's launchpads.

The PACIFIC PARADISE HOTEL is coming along nicely. We've lost a few locals in the building efforts, but they're replaceable. The building is projected to be complete in late 2021. All current top-level suites have been slated for use by the McFreedomstan Board of Directors.

FLEET EXERCISES in the ARABIAN SEA

Admiral Ambar Kush's 1st Fleet, and Admiral Mohsen Asad's 8th Fleet have been sent to the Arabian Sea to conduct naval exercises. They are expected to be deployed for no less than three months and are to return to Socotra for evaluation every six weeks. The purpose of the exercise is to enhance national and international cohesion and operation techniques with nearby allies. The composition of this combined fleet equates to over 40 fighting surface ships and submarines.

SUCCESSFUL test of PROJECT HOLLYWOOD

The Kohlneasian supergun, codenamed PROJECT HOLLYWOOD has completed it's first successful test firing from Socotra. Yesterday, HOLLYWOOD fired two projectiles. One reached nearly 785 miles, exceeding initial expectations and landing in the Arabian Ocean - NOT in downtown Djibouti. Any reports you may have heard of the projectile drifting off course and crashing into downtown Djibouti are unsubstantiated and should not be replicated or reprinted in your articles. A second, shorter-range projectile was tested with an effective range of 80 miles. This too definitely landed exactly where it was aimed and any reports that there was collateral civilian damage is hearsay.

After further calibrations have been made and subsequent tests completed, the weapon will be ready for official use in 3-6 months. Orders for HOLLYWOOD units have been extended to Taekhuman, McFreedomstan, Ubizytotska, and Trumplandia. PROJECT HAMMER has also seen significant advanced, however the results of HAMMER of being classified until further notice.

AITC Travel Warning - Notice to Eloria, Alorn, Lymonia, Standevia, Noxtrem

As the founding member of the APSIA International Tourism Compact, the Thirteenth Directorate is releasing an official travel advisory notice to citizens of AITC members worldwide to avoid travel to the following nations based on concerns regarding recent terrorist attacks:

The AITC will also issue an advisory against Noxtrem which has recently undergone a violent revolution and is currently rounding up "suspected communists". As the worldwide leader and compact in international tourism, the AITC is urging travelers to avoid these areas for their own safety.

TWENTY more Klb 'asud (BLACK DOG) Corvettes Ordered, TEN Archer-class submarines ordered.

Following the successful launch of the Klb 'asud corvette, the Kohlneasian Navy has put in an order for twenty more corvettes to be delivered by Q1 2022. TEN Archer-class submarines have been ordered for construction - expected deployment is Q1 2022.
