5 thousand BCE: Shee evolve from burrowing animals native to Albia. A yanja starship crash-lands in the eastern sea and is preserved on the seabed
2 thousand BCE: Tribes, scattered about Albia. Use of biotech begins and the first norns are created.
1 thousand BCE: First republic of Yggdrasil, a large island. Rise of such technologic advancements as indoor plumbing, books and primitive gas engines that never caught on. Biotech continues to advance.
0 BCE: On the ban'shira island a tribe of shee form into a warrior society and attack the forming republic. War starts, with both sides using steam-age, and to some extent steam-punk technology.
10: War, combined with shee inventively results in the creation by the ban’shira, now known as the banshee of a new creature, adapted purely for fighting. The Grendel. Sonar picks up traces of unidentified metals on the eastern seabed
20: A mission to the seabed by the shee republic recovers the remains of the yanja ship. However, when it is being towed back to shore, a banshee attack takes it.
30: A reverse engineered nuclear self-destruct device from the ship is detonated in Yggdrasil. Republic unleashes GMed bio weapons on banshee.
40: Banshee attempt at reverse engineering sublight communications ends up "calling" a small dark elder craft that lands in the remains of the Yggdrasil republic. After a few nasty, unexplained murders, the ship's crews are killed and a trade offered. Ether the banshee leave the shee alone or the ship's weapons will be used on them.
100: Treaty holds, until banshee sneak attack steals prototype of reversed engineered ship. Facing a war, which due to the weapons used would destroy Albia, the banshees flee in their ship. Pity it was dark elder, meaning it used the Warp to travel... and had no field to keep the daemons out. The banshees are presumed dead.
500: Tribes unite, leading to the second albian republic, with its capital gardenfalls were Yggdrasil once was. Reverse engineering of both dark elder, and yanja technology allows the creation of the starship, "pride of Albia" a sleeper ship with the goal of reaching the nearest star.
600: Albian solar system colonized. Planet with life, named terra nornia found around nearby star and colony planted.
1000: first probe to detect earth. Dr. Nickolir uses GM to enhance some of the local humans on a small island, in an attempt to civilize them, as well as teaching them the value of tea and other such useful things. Due to the danger, earth not colonized leaving the improved, extra strong and powerful humans to their own devices. Their only memories of their enhancer are a tendency to drink tea, wear fancy monocles and use the world “nick” for almost everything.
1100: First Ettins are created. Radio signals show a warring race of mechanical creatures, calling themselves the autobots, and decepcons. An attempt at communication leads to an autobot attack to 'free" the Ettins, killing thousands. The shee pull out, and wait, being relived when via a trick regarding sugar in their enemy’s energon the decepcons win.
1500: The republic now spans over a hundred solar systems. Contact with earth is established and trade begins.
1900: first contact with a highly warlike species calling themselves "orks" After a brief WAARRGG! we discover they use their own teeth as a currency; so mass cloning of millions of ork teeth is used to buy them off so they don't attack us.
