WELCOME TO CENTRAL VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL
<<<LINK TO IC-THREAD>>>
Hello, and welcome to Central Valley High School! Have you wondered what it would be like to participate in a high-school themed RP? There have been a few attempts in the past, with many of them bogged down in a politicized 'factional' system or the like. This is an open-ended sandbox world, with some occasional events to help set things into motion, where you are free to create your own character and have him or her interact with fellow students, meandering through those awkward adolescence years. Will your character become the star player on Central Valley High School's football team, the captain of the cheerleading squad, the nerd who everyone seems to love to pick on, the student council president, the goth boy who keeps to himself, or just an average jane? The possibilities are endless, only limited by your own creativity and your own vision. Create your student now, and go have fun! Be careful though, because some other students might do anything to grow in popularity. You'd hate to be on the receiving end of a horrific prank! There is also homecoming to consider - and who doesn't want to be king or queen?
STUDENT BODY CLIQUES:
Everybody wants to be associated with certain, other people - am I right? Particularly in high-school! Here is a rundown of available options for your character:
- Geeks/Nerds: Every school has them, students who excel in academics - yet also may struggle in the social scene. The future is bright for them.
- Athletes: The jocks are sometimes a clique in-and-of themselves, they're usually the most noticeable on campus - for better or for worse.
- Hipsters: They're not the secluded types like some outsiders are, but they're definitely proud to be "different" from the rest of the student body.
- Drama-Kids: Every watched High-School musical? Yeah, that's these guys. Every single day. At least in their imaginations - and perhaps after school.
- Band-Kids: When you have a group come together, playing musical instruments, for just about every major school event - they tend to form a clique of their own.
- Preppies: Typically the largest of the groups, they're usually what you envision of stereotypical middle-class students. They're usually quite involved too.
- Outsiders: They tend to be either secluded, emo, goth, rebellious, anarchist, or some combination of the five. Heck, maybe even all of them.
*Note: This is primarily intended to help your characters associate and interact with like-minded students. If you have a suggestion for another "clique," post below and I will consider it.
