Helen Blackley - Independent
Image

Account Name: Britanno 3
Occupation: Senator
Constituency: Candover
Political Ideology: Third Way
Family: Mark Blackley (husband), James Blackley (son), Sarah Blackley (daughter)

Background: Born in 1965 (aged 52) to ethnically British parents in the heavily European constituency of Candover, in the north of the country, Helen Blackley trained as a public relations consultant. After struggling to find work in Fernão, she moved abroad to France in 1990 and was employed by the Union for French Democracy where her most high profile work was as a senior campaign adviser for the 1993 legislative election. She then moved to Britain in 1996, and was hired to assist with Labour Party efforts to win the 1997 general election. After the election, she was involved with the winning referendum campaign for Welsh devolution. Following her political efforts in Britain, she returned to Paris where she became a journalist for Libération, a left-leaning newspaper. She remained in France until 2003, when she moved back home to Fernão and found work as a lecturer at Candover University. She was arrested in 2009 for highly critical lectures of the regime, but was released without charge shortly after. Following the UN-led intervention that brought about free elections in 2017, Helen stood as an independent candidate, running on a centrist platform. Following her election, she became a passionate opponent of the proposed constitution, instead preferring a parliamentary system.

Benjamin Rabon - Red-Green Alliance

Account Name: Mollary
Occupation: Senator

Party Position(s):
None

Positions in Government:
None

Constituency: New Hendon
Political Ideology: Social Democracy/Democratic Socialism, Populism

Family: Helen Ramon-Willis (Wife), Child 1 (Son or Daughter), Child 2 (Son or Daughter), Dog (Dog), Cat (Cat)
Background: Benjamin Ramon was born in North West London to a secular Jewish family, his father owned a bookshop and his mother was made entirely out of mashed swede. Benjamin himself is made primarily out of potato, old newspaper clippings and is held together by the abstract concept of panic and some sticky tape. From a young age he was bullied at school for not actually consisting of human flesh, but he found refuge in books, and eventually became intelligent enough to outwit his opponents verbally, a skill he somewhat possess today. The physical bullying persisted, but that was OK because he's a masochist. When he turned 18 he moved to Fernao in order to study and also due to its multi-ethnic composition making it more accepting of people made of root vegetables. He moved there in 1976, towards the beginning of the communist regime as he was fairly radical in his youth. Under the Communist regime he worked binding books and also advising farmers on how to keep their vegetables happy and productive. After the CIA led coup he found himself under threat, he was taken into question and was tortured a bit (which he really enjoyed), in fact he was tortured by his future wife Helen, the only family member of which he knows the name (he had to learn it for the wedding). Eventually he was released and founded a successful large company which some say was initially a firm that sold shoes, other say it sold small bits of carpets for people who couldn't afford an entire carpet. Regardless, by the end of the CIA backed regime the company didn't really sell anything, it acquired, merged, split and traded its own stocks aggressively, and occasionally attempted to destabilize minor global currencies, but didn't have any recognizable product or service. Once the Civil War broke out Ramon funded a series of militias, some of which were fighting each other anyway, eventually he decided to move to Britain to be with his ageing parents until the war blew over, they both died in 2002 with his father dying age 14, whilst his mother was actually ageless on account of her being made of mashed swede. In 2005, with the war stepping down a notch he moved back to New Hendon in the east aged 18. He spent the next few years attending certain low level negotiations on the part of his community and served as the mayor for a few years in-between stints as a professional beanbag stuffer and as a stand in for missing members of the Bee-Gees. Benjamin is currently the Senator for New Hendon, he lives there in a house with his wife and two children of indiscernible ages who he doesn't talk to because he finds them stupid and boring. He also has a cat and a dog. He is a self-described onomatopoeia and has a burgeoning television career, mostly as Noel Edmund's hair.

Dunstan van Stienbowe - Pro Patria
Image

Account Name: United Dixieland Territories
Occupation: Senator and former combatant, known to have done "Security Consultation" for a brief period.

Party Position(s):
None

Positions in Government:
None

Constituency: Christchurch
Political Ideology: Nationalism, social conservatism and federalism

Family: Dunstan was married to Emily Whitehouse, who died in childbirth. The baby also died from complications, but he retains his previous son, 10-year-old Ernest.
Background: Colonel Dunstan Hendrik van Stienbowe was born on April 7th, 1984, in the predominantly Anglo-Saxon town of Christchurch, Fernão, to middle class parents of Dutch and English extraction. His father's family was mainly composed of a long line of gentleman farmers and military officers under both Dutch and British flags, while his mother's line, having arrived in the Fernão only in the 20th century's first decades, was noted for its devout faith and historical commitment to the decaying British Empire that had taken them from Dudley to the Raj.

Young Dunstan attended the prestigious Christchurch Grammar School, where he excelled in sports and history, but he did not attend university upon graduation in 2002. He instead joined the Regulatory Forces, a prominent Christian militia that had seen him "serve" in street battles, restaurant brawls and parish patrols as a teenager. Without counting the brief ceasefire in 2005 and two trips for negotiations abroad, all of Dunstan's time from 2002 to the Civil War's end was spent training and fighting in Fernão, showing his dedication his homeland and the Forces. He was injured on several occasions; a mine nearly left him one-legged, and his insistence on wearing a white uniform resulted in a considerable number of scars and "war souvenirs" from the terrorists and Marxists. All these years of combat experience saw him rapidly rise through the ranks, eventually reaching that of lieutenant-colonel, which he embraced with the love for uniforms, medals and colonial officer-like conduct that characterized him.With the Forces, Dunstan's commitment to two values he would come to consider sacred -- order and duty -- was born; he came to expect a sort of discipline from his men that was at times regarded by superiors as excessive, although this armed him with the weapons to secure this sort of conduct in men of all stripes, this mindset has carried towards his political career. Eventually, the slogan he campaigned under began to chillingly reflect his conflation of militant Catholic Cultural Concepts with the notion of a Colonial Officer's zeal & adoration of an Orderly world; "A Rifle for every Rosary" flew from banners all through-out Christchurch for roughly a year, many even chanted it at a rally after a priest blessed the crowd.

Upon the Civil War's end, he was made a member of the of the UN-approved security forces and even promoted to the rank of colonel. A brawl following a caustic remark on his very public Christianity by a Muslim colleague comepelled him to resign, but the harmony of private life did not find him well; he required action, so he joined Frederik Paus dos Reis's Pro Patria, a Christian party, and found himself moving to the capital to begin a political career in which he intended to protect his faith, compatriots and Portuguese Contract Mauser (significantly battle-scarred might I add) from the Marxists that he fought for so long throughout the country's varied landcapes.
Faith: Roman Catholicism

Likes: Fernão, Order, Christianity, swords, antique firearms, Western civilization and people in their place
Dislikes: Islam, gun prohibitions, opponents of the West and people not in their place

Chakradhar Chatterjee - Luta Operária
Image

Account Name: Ikania
Occupation: Senator

Party Position(s):
Member

Positions in Government:
None

Constituency: Calaverde-Mascarras
Political Ideology: Orthodox Marxism, Anti-Revisionism, Pacifism

Family: First wife, Damyanti (1955-1985), second wife, Madalena Mascarenhas-Chatterjee (b. 1965), sons Bholanath (b. 1988) and Faalgun (b. 1991), daughter Pratima (b. 1994), sister Chandira (b. 1954).
Background: Chakradhar Chatterjee was born in Dhaka, East Pakistan, on June 3rd, 1959 (57 years old), to Bengali parents. His father was a civil servant, his mother a homemaker from West Bengal. He had two older sisters and a younger brother, all born relatively close to each other (1951 for Mishti, 54 for Chandira, 59 for Chakhradhar, 63 for Bishwanath). Chakhradhar, known in his adulthood by his nickname, CC, grew up in a peaceful household for the first decade of his life, largely escaping the turbulent world surrounding him. This changed in 1971, when Pakistani forces began the pillaging of Bengal. Chakradhar's family came down around him, as his father was shot in the head, surviving but mentally incapacitated ever since, finally dying in 1986. His household was ransacked as violence swept Bengal. His mother was carried away by Islamist militants, never to be seen again. Only unspeakable horrors could be assumed. His eldest sister, Mishti, taken and abused, for slavery by the Pakistani Army. She died in childbirth. His other sister, Chandira, was abducted, likely for similar purposes. She was missing for nearly two decades, before Chakradhar happened upon her in a chance meeting at a dive bar in Kolkata. It was a tearful reunion that changed his life.

As his family was violently torn apart by the Pakistanis, Chakradhar had not the means to escape across the border to India. Instead, he entered a boat with his younger brother Bishwanath, and set off for Calaverde, Fernão, or Phardinanda in Bengali. Their brain-damaged father, meanwhile, was shuffled into West Bengal, and put into professional care. Chakradhar reached the coast in April of 1971, a child, only 12, with his 8 year old brother. They were taken in by a Portuguese-Fernoan woman, who adopted them off the boat. A compassionate humanitarian and devout Catholic, as opposed to his Sunni parents, she instilled the values of love and hard work in her sons. Her name was Áurea Venâncio (1929-2010), and she truly became Chakradhar's mother, now that his biological mother could no longer care for him. Chakradhar grew up from there with his brother, in the small but quaint coastal town of Calaverde.

Under the tending care of his foster mother, Chakradhar was first nicknamed CC in his teens, as a high school student. He became active in politics, as a vociferate anti-communist. A young teenage activist, he railed against the socialist government to anyone who would listen, and was for the most part dismissed, since teens dislike politics, and he didn't make too much sense either way. In many ways, CC's life was shaped by epiphanies. Like the one he had in 1977, when he realized he was an idiot. He took his mind off politics, becoming simply content with the way things were, and instead became passionate about two things: music, and cars. A budding mathematician and a fan of the applied sciences, he studied automobile engineering and entered into the University of Cardeira. Fluent in Bengali, Portuguese and, by his early adulthood, English, CC was also an international learner. He still owns his 1979 Volkswagen Beetle, constantly maintained and upgraded. It's the only car he's ever needed, or wanted.

CC found his first job, well, first career job, in a car factory, in 1984, upon leaving university. It was also the year he met and fell in love with a girl named Damyanti, only a couple years older than him. Infatuated with this Fernoan-Indian woman, they married in the fall of 1984, and enjoyed months of bliss as Chakradhar found steady employment, something rare in the turbulent times of the anti-communist regime. Tragedy struck again in mid 1985, when Damyanti was diagnosed with terminal cancer, at only 30. She died in December.

It was a huge blow to Chakrandhar. His world had been flipped upside down. But he still had his job. He worked off the grief, rising through the ranks at his factory. It was during his years of industrial work that his political views began to shift toward the left. He unionized, becoming a voice within his own worker's union and fighting for better wages and working conditions. It was at a union conference that he met a woman who turned his life around, away from alcoholism, keeping his feelings pent up, and general disregard for his own personal health. Madalena Mascarenhas was a social worker, six years his junior, and they hit it off immediately. She understood him. They began seeing each other in the spring of 1987, and, in a classic sense, fell in love. Chakrandhar was married to Madalena on July 2nd, 1989. Their first child was born just under a year before that. The Mascarenhas family loved CC, and his life entered another stage of idyllic peace. In 1990, he was vacationing in West Bengal, when he stopped by a bar in an August evening. It was there that he encountered Chandira Chatterjee, his long-lost sister. It was a few glances at first. Mutual confirmation of identity. Overjoyed shouting. Massive hugs, and hours of storytelling from both that entertained the entire establishment. It seemed like the life of Chakradhar Chatterjee was sliding into graceful content. There would be a rude awakening after a few years.

Another twist was thrown into Chakradhar's life in late 1994, when his factory became an early victim of the Fernoan civil war. His entire livelihood was thrown away by a massive bomb, planted by an anti-communist paramilitary to frighten the unionized and vocally socialist workers, and cut off what could become military production for the revolutionary-held island of Mascarras, not far from Calaverde, and where CC crossed a bridge every day to get to work. Áurea Venâncio was still living in the same old house, and she provided for CC's family, now with three children. Her assistance especially came in handy when Chakradhar became unemployed. Violently thrown out of industrial manufacturing, he could not find a job in the same field that provided sufficient pay or stability. He instead turned his focus to local business. He opened a general store in Calaverde's marketplace, and the revenue was good. At this point in life, he experienced another epiphany. It came to him while unloading eggs from a delivery truck. Mostly concerning philosophy, some of it political. CC was 35, married, with children, and the owner of a storefront. But yet he felt little peace in life. He wasn't happy. While maintaining what was now the family business, he embarked on a spiritual journey, culminating in his exploring Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism and Islam, never to his satisfaction. Discontent with major, organized religion, he created his own set of theological ideas about life. He took great influence from Vedic texts, and the concepts of yoga and meditation. He became an ardent practitioner of these, taking them up in 1996 and having never stopped since. He hasn't had a clean-shaven face since that year, either.

He stopped getting haircuts for the most part, as well. He wears a turban to, as he says, preserve the energy within from dissipating. He values his peaceful lifestyle, and all its little things. He regards hair as an extension of self- extension of life force. Why should it be something to be avoided? In these years of spiritual awakening and business-managing, through good times and bad, as Calaverde was hit by the devastating war, his political ideology shifted further left. He had seen the horrors of war first hand, both as a child and now as an adult. Chakradhar was as pacifist as ever, and a bit of a peacenik. But ideologically, he acquainted himself better with the doctrines of Marxism- first Leninism, a spate of Trotskyism, before settling on Orthodox, Anti-Revisionist Marxism, in the fashion of Kautsky. It is no wonder he joined the Worker's Struggle.

The civil war entered a colder stage in the 2000s. Bombs no longer regularly chimed through the streets of his particular slice of country. Guerrilla warfare in the countryside became a more common thing. Chakradhar found himself often vacationing to visit his sister in Kolkata, or his brother in Cardeira, where he had become a dentist. Unfortunately, Bishwanath Chatterjee died in a car crash in 2001. While mourning the loss of his dearest brother, Chakradhar strode through his forties. He rediscovered his touch for politics, his wife behind him the whole way. As his kids grew up, he found himself with more free time, scaling back his involvement in managing the store. His children were all in university by 2014, when the sight of Indian intervention was warmly welcomed in Calaverde. By this point a Fernoan through and through, Chakradhar felt a certain desire to get involved. To make himself heard, to spread his ideals of brotherhood, equality, labor rights, and pacifism.

When the government was organized in 2017, "CC Chatterjee", now in his late fifties, ran for the newly created seat of Calaverde-Mascarras, combining the populations of both the island and the seaside town. Joining the Luta Operária as an experienced, hardened and wise old man, Chakradhar won his seat and finally entered the political scene after decades of miscellaneous involvement.

Background: Neu Zwickau was originally settled as a small agricultural community after a group of German Mennonites left in 1830 to find more agricultural opportunities. They were later joined by members of other Anabaptist sects as they settled in the hills surrounding the small community, after hearing about the rich soils and rains on the island. Eventually, settlers of other ethnicities settled the area around the city, contributing to its rich cultural diversity. With the turn of the century, more and more industry moved to the city, providing jobs to those who couldn't find land and cementing Neu Zwickau as the economic and political centre of the island. During the civil war, the city was known for being a safe haven from conflict for the country's IDPs due to the generosity and pacifism of the large Anabaptist community.
