The world we know is a prosperous place to many and a cutthroat barbaric land to others. The Russian Federation kept Crimea, West Africa is starting to become stable, South America is slowly becoming more and more authoritarian, and ISIL has long since become a squabbling number of nomadic war bands. You are the ruler of a nation, someone on this earth who must govern your people and try your best to push the values and ideals of yourself or your people onto others. Will you be successful? Time will tell, as you spend your blood and iron to further your goals, preserve your way of life, and most importantly help keep yourself in power. You must stand with your people in A World Ablaze.
- Requesting to carve chunks out of other nations to add to yours, will not be accepted, and will result in denial.
- War Boners are not preferred. Not every nation needs to handle things with the barrel of a gun.
- No creating WMD's unless you have the capability's IRL.
- One liners and Poor Grammar are considered poor etiquette and are unacceptable.
- Please refrain from using giant flags in your IC posts.
- Don't be a dick.
- Nations composed of many differing states will only be allowed if said states get along reasonably well, are culturally similar and aren't doing the best economically (i.e. No combining of Russia and China, but Kazahkstan and Uzbekistan will likely be fine)
- To add to the above, that's only through peaceful means. You can annex whoever, but don't expect a quiet occupation.
- The Word of OP is law, the word of the Co-Ops is law unless otherwise stated.
- For the love of god keep text monochrome, we don't need to give someone a epileptic seizure.
- Reserved status lasts a week or so unless you tell us why you were busy.
- Poor Spelling, Grammar, and overall Poor writing ARE grounds for application denial.
- Don't go overboard with gore, violence, etc. Do things in good taste, basically.
- You're not invincible, nor is your country. Just roll with the punches if shit doesn't work out.
- In terms of statistics, try to adhere to the most recent ones available for your nation.
- I'm pretty sure at this point you're not really paying attention.
- Weapons of Mass Destruction are only to be used with extreme discretion and must be approved by the OP before use.
- No, you can't launch a war without asking the person you're warring against first. Failure to do so will get you in hot water.
- Weapons development should make sense realistically (ie. No Phased Plasma Rifles in 2018)
- Generally speaking, Crisis Events will affect everyone.
- Alternate history nations are acceptable, but the divergence from this timeline must occur at some point between 2005 and 2010 or so and must make at least some sense (ie. no Bolshevik revolution in the United States or Fourth German Reich)
- Seriously guys, at least be somewhat realistic with your ideas.
