Hey guys.

So, I have found out that you, yes, you, can also vote for the P2TM Best of 2016 Community Choice Nominees for the awards. Our RP and its predecessor were nominated, as were many others.

If you would like to vote, go here to copy a form and then paste it into your new post.

I encourage you to vote. I'm going to as well, and I'm going to try to read the nominees entries so I'm a fair judge. I may abstain from voting for our category where our RP is, because I am the OP and I think that's kind of classless and self-promoting. But if you want to, I will not hold it against you.

Anyone can vote, even if you're not a judge in the other areas.

That we should. I think we're going to have a timeskip pretty soon and jump ahead a week to the next meeting of the Minnesota Infinites and the Orient Supervillains' nameless society. I'll give you guys a post or so to finish up what you were doing, and then we'll get going to the next part. Part 2 - in which, we will have more villains to fight, more quests to do, and the mysterious ideas Mr. Big has in mind - may - just get slightly revealed even more.

Tune in for: The Infinites - The Lamest Heroes, chapter 2!!

EDIT - Just to let you know guys. I edited my last IC post because there were a few gags I was planning on putting in and just forgot.

Is this still a thing? If so, I'd like to apply.
I use my NationStates stats, because a population of billions/trillions and an economy of hundreds of trillions is totally viable, trust me.
But seriously, aside from the population and GDP, just assume that my NS stats are roughly accurate.

Support: Paleo-imperialism, conservatism, libertarianism, Christianity.
Against: Stupid people, resistance to industrial progress, alt-right, any form of government at or beyond socialism.

This is definitely still a thing! I'm preparing on starting chapter 2, which will take place at the next week, at the meeting of the Minnesota Infinites. That should be up pretty soon, hopefully this weekend.

We have a good amount of both, but another villain wouldn't hurt.

All right. A villain it is.

Name: Henry "Hot Air" Hinshaw
Codename: He's trying to make "Mr. Firewall" a thing, but most locals just call him "Blimp Man." (Heck, he'd prefer "Zeppelin" to that, although the name would be slightly erroneous.)
Age: 21 (good ol' drinking age)
Sex: Male
Appearance: He's growing an Old Dutch Beard, but it's just a chin curtain for now...
Biography: Used to be part of the Jefferson Infinites as the scout of the group. Used to have a long-distance girlfriend in the Southern Infinites, before she died...
Powers: His shoulders can adjust to any temperature from 0 to 500 degrees Kelvin without causing damage to himself.

Describe your abilities: He attached hot air balloons to his shoulder blades and so can float above ground for immeasurable amounts of time. He carries a fan with him for propulsion, as well as a number of projectiles (his favorite is the finger rocket, which he reverse engineers on a consistent basis for different effects). Also, he can dig holes. Really well. And sing. On key, but really loudly. He's okay with computers.
Why did you turn to crime: "I used to be a member of the Jefferson Infinites. You know, State of Jefferson, the thing that they got going in Northern Cali- ah, whatever. They all died off through a series of encounters with the regional supervillains. They found out our hideout, and I was the only one who could escape, having hot-air-balloon-shoulders and all. Thankfully, none of the supervillains were equipped with guns. I survived, and the wind was able to carry me away to safety. All our funds were gone, though, and nobody wanted me to advertise for them, and, well, you know, one thing led to another. Thank God the local police are too polite to shoot people, eh?"
Why did you further become a supervillain: "Well, I decided to pack up my belongings (what was left over after the raid) and move to Minnesota. The cold weather means that I could travel higher and float better. I can dig holes with the best of them, and so I made myself a home out in the wilderness of Minnesota. Well sanitized with plumbing, and in public lands, of course. The best part is that there's so much goshdang snow in North/Central Minnesota that the base is practically invisible at all times except the summer, and even then it would take hours if you don't know what to look for."
How do you feel about the Infinites: "Lucky bastards; their supervillains aren't half as strong as the ones we had. They got bright, albeit boring, lives ahead of them. Wish them all the best. Usually."
What's your end goal: "Well, I would like to make a bigger hole, probably next year. Maybe run for mayor? Ah, right, I forgot, I'm a supervillain- WORLD DOMINATION! Actually, though, revenge on my fallen comrades wouldn't be uncalled for."
You've captured the hero/heroine, what happens now: "Blindfold them, show them around my hole-home. I've been aching to play Axis and Allies with someone for a while now. Trust me, if you're not interested in that thing, that's torture enough."
Do you plan out your monologues or do they just sort of happen: "Generally, I'm too far away for them to hear anything I say. I generally don't plan much except for the basic layout, though; everything else is improv. I'm up in the air for a ridiculously long amount of time; I have all the time in the world to plan things out."
Let's hear a sample of your evil laugh (the noise you'd make when your plan is succeeding): Rather high pitched, for a guy. Not effeminate, just high-pitched.
Let's hear a sample of your evil roar (the noise you make when your plan is failing): Loud booming voice, like thunder. Enough to make people open their umbrellas if he's high up enough.
Any lines you won't cross: "I'm not interested in killing any of the Infinites, even though I could be justified in doing so, in a certain sense. We used to be on the same side. Also, I'm very polite whenever I come in contact with people I rob. Civility and honesty are what hold society together, even if you are taking their stuff. I wash my hands on a regular basis, and I say "hello" to the ordinary citizens I pass by."
Would you prefer an archenemy, or would you rather just drift around from rogues gallery to rogues gallery: "I just drift around, especially when I don't have my fan to guide me."

Haha. Accepted. Welcome to the Infinites! (And, I happen to be one of those folks who does appreciate a good long game of Axis and Allies. Would not be torture for me to play a long, drawn out game with Japan).

I'm going to get that next post up to begin Chapt. 2 as soon as I can. After I do, feel free to post. You will be with the supervillains. Haha. We've had a running gag going on here, so that whenever anyone new joins, we act like you've been here the whole time.

Before then, take some time and read up on what we had done in the IC. I hope you find it as funny as we do.

Sorry, I didn't notice your response and so made a few small edits. I'll come in once Chapter 2 is announced.

I hope my character was funny enough. After reading it, I felt like the story is one the borderline between "funny" and "just plain sad." Don't worry; he does have a cynical sense of humor, and he'll be funnier in action.

I see a lot of potential in this guy. Hey, Mr. Blimp-Man. Glitch is going to have a field day with him.

EVERYONE -

I have updated the first OOC post in the Cast (spoiler) area. These updates include moving some characters into inactives. Double check to make sure your character is still listed as active. Again, Inactives get put in this category when I the OP decide they have become inactive. If you wish to be active, then you know what you have to do. Post.

So, out of curiosity, has anyone read any of The Great Lakes Avengers or Doom Patrol or any of those sorts of comics?

Also, an accurate depiction of the Great Jefferson Raid:

Far Side? The best dry humor ever made into cartoons. Gary Larson is a master, but you have to understand the occasional reference or two.

Not the Far Side! I like that!

I meant the Great Lakes Avengers, and the other one.

I read the previews and the other free stuff, when I can get them, but they're all right. In each episode of the GLA, one of them dies. It's morbidly comical.

Doom Patrol is a tad more weird than funny (but, then again, isn't everything from DC Comics nowadays?), but it's still not a bad series.

Before I post, I'd like to ask if we could 'handwave' Jason's bullet wounds as being healed by a villain whose powers were (ironically) to heal? It's fine if we can't- I have plans for both outcomes.

Looking forward to posting again ^w^

I'm ok either way. Someone might have the ability to minorly heal bullet wounds. Only bullet wounds.

However, it could be funny having Jason show up in a full body cast.
