Life in Cullyburgh (OOC, Social RP)

Postby Camelone » Tue Jan 31, 2017 9:24 am

Within the isolationist nation of Camelone there is only a single city that is allowed to let foreigners live in, ones who have not sworn an oath to live by Camelonean culture and throw off their old ways and beliefs that is, by royal decree and that city is the port city of Cullyburgh. Even within this city there is a massive Quarter Wall that separates the Foreigners Quarter from the rest of the city, both for the protection of the foreigners and to preserve Camelonean culture from being touched by the foreign taint. At each gate there are checkpoints and heavily armed guards controlling the flow of traffic but even with this feeling of authoritarianism hanging around the residents of the Foreigners Quarter they have a safe haven and that is the Quarter itself, there they live under there own laws and are a melting pot of many different cultures living side by side, with the odd exiled Camelonean living with them.

A young teen was running as fast as he could from two Camelonean police men wearing caps with the seal of the Baron of Cullyburgh. He did not look at all like the surrounding people, he wore jeans, some shirt with characters from a foreign television show, and what stood out the most was his green Mohawk.

"Freeze! In the name of his majesty freeze!" One of the policemen yelled though it looked like the teen either didn't understand or didn't want to listen as he kept running through the cobbled streets.

The teen splashed through a puddle as he rounded the corner towards the entrance to the Foreigners Quarter before he relieved that guards were inspecting the tunnel that he used to sneak into the main part of the city. Trying to turn quickly he was spotted by the guards who raised their rifles prompting him to run out into the shadows prompting the guards to give chase yelling for him to stop as well.

Running parallel to the wall the teen didn't relieve he was running straight into another guard taking a smoke break. Upon seeing the teen he dropped his pipe and brought his rifle up screaming "Freeze! I will shoot!" Again seeming to not understand the guard the teen tried running the other way and the night was lit up by gunfire.

He was dead before he even hit the ground. When the rest of the pursuers caught up one of the policeman crossed himself.

"My God. We only wanted to see his papers."

The Foreigners Quarter

As you can all guess from that intro that this RP will take place within the only opened city in Camelone, a place where those who choose to live there are usually forced to live there from some outside force, like business or diplomacy, though of course there are those who immigrated there for the feeling of the city. You can play as anyone and can design the Foreign Quarter to your whims while the rest of Cullyburgh is mine to control.

Rules:
-All NS forum rules apply
-No metagaming
-No important figures from your country
-Remember only the Foreign Quarter is like the rest of the world, the rest of Cullyburgh is a highly traditional place
-I control who comes and goes from the Foreign Quarter unless you can have your character sneak through
-Outside of the Foreign Quarter your character is under the jurisdiction of Camelonean law and will not be handed back over if caught
-Papers are required to pass through the checkpoints
-Consequences will be real in game, I'm trying to build a somewhat realistic world
-OOC in OOC and IC in IC, few exceptions

Characters
AHSCA wrote:Character Application
Name: Koyori Akutagawa
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Bio: Kiyori was born on the island of Aurora in the AHSCA Chain to Tamako and Toru. For as long as she's known her family largely struggled to get by failing at farming, fishing or vending they worked hand-to-mouth most times. After a string of unsuccessful business ventures the family moved in with her uncle Shoji the brother of Toru. One evening Koyori awoke to a heated argument just outside her bedroom where she witnessed a terrifying sight of violence when the argument turned ugly and an intoxicated Shoji put a bullet into her father's head. In the shock of the moment things only grew worse as she then saw her mother quickly turn around and do the same to Shoji. No criminal action was taken as it was deemed Tamako acted in self defense. The sight of what happened caused trauma in young Koyori that she stopped speaking all together. At first her mother saw it as a phase she'd adjust to over a while but with no signs of her changing made her mother more and more frustrated for having such a weak willed and minded child. With rumors and gossip spreading and with times being just as tough Tamako decided Koyori was more trouble than she was worth and dumped her onto a priestess. With no other family in the islands the Church located her extended family living in Cullyburgh.
Family: Mother (living but not present), Father (deceased), Paternal Uncle, (deceased) Maternal uncle, (living) Maternal Aunt (living)
Country of Origin: AHSCA
Personality: Can be empathetic but largely comes off as stoic, very serious and very quiet due to her ongoing PTSD.
Appearance:(Image)
Occupation: Student
Can they speak Camelonean Gaelic?: No but her relatives do and she seems to understand it well enough.
Why do they live in Cullyburgh: She's come to live with her aunt and uncle who've been living in the country a while due to a legal loophole in AHSCA's child welfare laws which allow parent to abandon a child regardless of age or parental status.
How do they feel about Cullyburgh: She's nervous and afraid to be in a new place that's strange to her.
Reaction to the Shooting: Brings up some painful memories of the past.
Feelings about the Cameloneans: Just as she's afraid and nervous about living in a strange place she's going to find them just as strange and nervous
Other: She suffers from PTSD as such she's been largely "mute" for a good while. Coming from a country where psychological conditions are not well understood most hope it's a phase she'll grow out of but her silence largely made her mother angry which is why her mother has decided to "dump" her child.

Knowing him being out to sea would cause too much stress for a pregnant woman he sold his boat and got a plot of land they could work. Sadly their first attempts of raising a family ended with the premature death of their infant daughter and they moved on in life trying again but mostly unsuccessful. Farming seemed to be the plan for them but their life was uprooted during the AHSCA War for Unification which forced them to flee the country or fight. Neither had a stomach for killing so they chose to seek refuge but many countries rejected refugees from the islands until they landed in Camelone being located to foreign friendly Cullyburgh.

He's the only one she's ever been with, but she's never inquired about if he's had other relations before with women. Attempts to start a family were largely unsuccessful with their first child and attempts to try again met with failure. Once the war broke out she with her husband fled the islands never to return.

Born and raised as an only child in a rather rough area of Beutarch, Laurens fell in with some bad people in his youth. Eventually, his parents discovered his questionable activity in the form of an unloaded pistol hidden in his bedroom. Enforcing a strict curfew time and sending anonymous tips to the police, the Laurens shut down the clique and set Jacque back on the straight and narrow. Without plans for holding up convienience store clouding his mind, Jacque discovered he had an adeptness at math and studied his way through High-School and Government Education (effectively community college). Laurens feels that the Cameloneans are xenophobic and overly nationalist, but respects their "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" national personality.
Other:
Laurens once held a minor government position in Beutarch, not sure if that will affect him.

Feelings about the Cameloneans:
Nice people, if a bit strict sometimes. Could be a bit more open to others.
Bio:
Born in 1972 in Wembury, Finnegan, who was always called Finn or Finny, was the son of an Innkeeper, the one of the legendary Sionnach Inn, and soon began to help in the family business, whenever possible - even if only as the listener to the many stories travellers from far and near told. That ended, when he went to school and had rather uninteresting report cards.
While his marks were uninteresting, though, ranging between 2.4 and 3.1, his social skills bloomed, "a born boss.", as a teacher put it.
    He finished school in 1990.
From then on, he learned from his Father for five years, then went to the Dearmadta Inn in the Great Woods and a few others, where he got to meet his wife in 1997 - they married and his first two sons, the twins Aidan and Liam, were born soon after. In 1999, his daughter was born.
In 2010, the father and his wife left their children with their Aunt Felicia and went to work in establishing a Selkie-Inn in Cullyburgh's Foreign Quarter in best hopes for the future. So far, it went well.

Relatively well, although there is still an accent in it.
Why do they live in Cullyburgh:

How do they feel about Cullyburgh:
Nice town. Good business. Though the heart aches for home...
Reaction to the Shooting:
That poor boy... talk about police brutality!
Feelings about the Cameloneans:
    Good people.
Bio:
Born in 1977 in the Great Woods, the Head-Housemaid of the Cruit Inn is originally a Child of the very-same, very much in tune and loving towards nature in all its forms. When she met her future husband, though, she left the homely woods to live with him and have a family.
And she never thought negatively about that decision.
She went to school in the Woods as well and learned how to cook from her father, while her mother was a huntress. She learned how to work in an inn at one of the many inns in the Great Woods, amongst them the legendary Dearmadta Inn, where she got to know her later husband.
It was hard for her to leave the Free Lands for her, and her children, but she pulled through.

Born in 1996 in Shella, Marla always wanted to work in an inn - she, as the daughter of a fisherman, got her first job in one with 16, soon learning, that it was a lot of hard work and rising up to the task, soon becoming a jack-of-all-trades amongst her fellow housemaids.
After she finished school, she began her regular apprenticeship, learning for two years with her inn in Shella and then going out into the big, wide world - and after a while landing in Cullyburgh.
Her big dream, for now, is to open her own inn.

Kwadai wrote:
Character Application

Name: Yasmin al Saqqaf
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual (selectively closeted)
Bio: Yasmin was born in the city of Al Bayda, a city in the dry desert hills of northern Kwadai. The city was and is a bastion of tradition in a nation that has modernised like no other. While the rest of Kwadai's city's reached for the sky with towers of glass and capitalised on shopping and tourism. Al Bayda instead managed to retain its old world atmosphere and pull itself into the 21st Century. Her paternal grandfather immigrated to Al Bayda from a nearby Arab state upon Kwadai's independence in 1982. Growing up, Yasmin travelled frequently considering her parents own a high end five star resort in the hills above the city and often went to other countries in search of new ideas for the resort which encompasses a variety of international styles. She attended a private international school where she did well in creative subjects like music and art. However not everything was perfect of course, especially not after her uncle and cousins were killed in a tragic plane crash when she was 12. That subsequently led to a rough patch in the family which they slowly but surely recovered from their grief. She brought the family back to reality when she got a place in the prestigious University of the Emirates in Yafran where she was given the chance to study abroad in a nation of her choice ready for a new challenge, Yasmin has decided to attempt something her family and friends desperately warned her against; studying in Camelone, a nation far more conservative than secular (but culturally Islamic) Kwadai.
Family:
- Mahmoud al Saqqaf (Father)
- Amina al Saqqaf (Mother)
- Imtiyaz al Saqqaf (Brother)
- Dania al Saqqaf (Sister)
- Farid al Saqqaf (Brother)
(All in Kwadai)

Country of Origin: Kwadai
Personality: Yasmin is a genuinely nice and caring person. She gives off an air of charisma, determination, creativity and confidence. She's charming too, which is always useful. As a result giving up is often the last thing on her mind. Yasmin follows an unwritten mental code of always finding a way to do something - or making one. She has her own way of doing things, and doesn't like being made do otherwise. However this is also somewhat of a weakness, as sometimes when all options she can imagine seem to fail then she can get irrational and even reckless.
Appearance:(Image)
Occupation: Studying fashion and design
Can they speak Camelonean Gaelic?: Yes, but not fluently.
Why do they live in Cullyburgh: Yasmin is studying at university there.
How do they feel about Cullyburgh: She thinks it's a beautiful city, but doesn't like having to pass through checkpoints with extensive paperwork everyday just to go to school.
Reaction to the Shooting: Yasmin has only just heard of it, but it has reaffirmed her deeply protected view that the government of Camelone is a threatening xenophobic force.
Feelings about the Cameloneans: Yasmin believes that the Camelonean people are trapped in the past and that their country has long been in need of reform. However, on the flip side she respects their way of life as a result of growing up in a country as multicultural as Kwadai where different ideas are widespread.
Other: Nothing comes to mind.

Krugeristan wrote:Character Application
Name: Janu Axden
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Bio: Born and raised in the city of Jyker, Axden, the son of a nuclear arms guard and a veterinarian, completed school and military training like all other Krugeristani men. He joined the navy, spending the majority of his time in the frozen waters of the Sea of Okhotsk during joint exercises with the Russian Navy. Most of Axden's leave time was spent in Russia, where he developed a love of art and travel. After completing five years of military service, including two years in Syria aiding the Syrian Navy by launching missiles at ISIS and the FSA, Axden began looking into opportunities to go abroad. He presented the suggestion of going to Cullyburgh to Krugeristan's Foreign Ministry, who granted him permission to go after he provided proof he completed military service. A quiet and barely social man, Axden looks to attempt social interaction and make art in Cullyburgh.
Family: David Axden (father)--commander of a guard squadron at one of Krugeristan's nuclear missile silos. Nancy Axden (mother)--veterinarian.
Country of Origin: Krugeristan
Personality: Axden is anti-social, but that isn't stopping him from trying. Shy, quiet, and not the most friendly-looking, he won't speak unless spoken to, and when he wants to have a conversation with a person, his approach is often mistaken for stalking because he won't talk first. He is a fierce patriot if prodded about his loyalties. As an artist, he sees things most other people can't, and is very good at reading people, and is capable of opening up if the other person can respect him.
Appearance: Janu Axden is five feet, ten inches tall, and rod-thin. He typically wears a ratty-looking black trenchcoat, black pants, and knee-high black boots. He is very pale, and has brown hair and blue eyes.
Occupation: Artist
Can they speak Camelonean Gaelic?: No
Why do they live in Cullyburgh: To make and sell art, as well as meet people.
How do they feel about Cullyburgh: Axden thinks it's a good idea.
Reaction to the Shooting: He thinks the person deserved to get shot. (He's witnessed public executions in Krugeristan, so, he isn't all that surprised.)
Feelings about the Cameloneans: He'd like to meet one before developing feelings.
Other: Hi.

Kaunu wrote:Character Application

Name: Dalir Ali Meszua
Age: 42
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Bio: Born in Iizbul, Kaunu, he worked as a tailor in his father's medium size business. When he was 18, he meet his future wife, Shafee'a Gezali. He attended university at the capital city Fafaqu at Fafaqu Royal University. He graduated when he was 22 with a degree in Business Finance. He married Shafee'a Gezali the same year. When he was 25 he had his first child, a son named Mustafa named after Dalir's own father. As Dalir's father grew older, he was diagnosed with cancer and Dalir's family had to take care of him. Dalir's constant care for his father stressed him out and he grew bitter towards his father, and used his work as a tailor to avoid him. When he was 28, his father died and he took over the family business. His father's debtors came after him and Dalir was on the brink of losing his business and livelihood. However, at his father's funeral, the magnificent clothes wore by the Gezali-Meszua Family stunned the Khan of Iizbul. Khan Iizbul appoarched Dalir and sent him back to the capital of Fafaqu to meet with the Shah of Kaunu, to serve as a tailor to Shahzadeh Faolan. Dalir's family followed. As a Royal Tailor, Dalir was paid handsomely and giving a grand estate not far from the palace. Dalir made clothes for the entire family of the Shahzadeh, but he had made one fatal mistake. He had forgotten to thank Khan of Iizbul. The Khan, angered that he was not credited for discovering the beloved favour of the future Shah of Kaunu plotted against Dalir. The Khan framed Dalir for stealing a priceless necklace from the Malekeh, the Shahzadeh's stepmother. The Malekeh was furious but the Shahzedah cams to his rescue and got him pardoned. Dalir briefly took a break and retreated to his estate to care for his son and wife. Shafee'a was pregnant once again. Dalir was delighted and prepared the family for a new member. However tragically Shafee'a suffered a miscarriage. Shafee'a fell into a deep depression and Dalir threw himself into his work in grief. The Khan of Iizbul took this to frame Dalir as a dreadful monster, having beat his wife till she lost the baby and he locked her and his son away. Dalir and the Shahzedah protested this was false. The Khan of Iizbul however turned a fraction of the court against the tailor. Despite this, most could see Dalir was a kind and innocent man, if somewhat strange. Then, as the Khan of Iizbul was leading a meeting denouncing Dalir, the Khan suddenly collapsed, poisoned. The new Khan of Iizbul, his predecessor's son, accused Dalir of murder and Dalir was placed on trial. The Shahzedah tried to halt it but his father, the Shah of Kaunu decided Dalir must put on trial. However, only 9 months after his father's death, the new Khan of Iizbul suddenly died. Dalir was again blamed and it caused outrage in the court and even the royal family. The second Khan's widow and mother of the new Khan, Taamira al-Sabriq accused Dalir of having an unnatural affair with the Shahzedah and they had murdered the two khans together. Dalir was horribly offended at such an accusation and even stood before court and the Shah debunking this claim, but it was too late. His reputation was ruined and he could no longer be seen as an associate of the royal family. The Shahzedah was forced to tearfully then his back on Dalir and fire him, then vanish him from court. Dalir was sent as far as away as to the desolate island off the mainland of Tasahah. Finally Dalir heard of the city of Cullyburgh and decided to make a new quiet life there. He and his family immigrated to the Foreign Quarter of Cullyburgh. Dalir, who was now 33 years old, was given just enough money from the Shahzedah in secret to buy a small corner building in the Foreign Quarter with his home in the upper two floors and his tailor shop on the ground floor. He spent his years studying the language and culture of Camelone. When he was 36 he had a daughter born in Cullyburgh named Nicola, wanting a more Camelonan name for her. Dalir currently spends his days selling his clothes to customers and trying to make his son and daughter more like the native populace in hopes of giving them a more benefitting future.
Family: Shafee'a Gezali-Meszua (wife)
Mustafa Ali Gezali-Meszua (son)
Nicole Alican Gezali-Meszua (daughter)
Country of Origin: Kaunu
Personality: Dalir is a wise, clever and morally upstanding person, but is slow to trust, as well as ambitious and an unrealistic optimism when it comes to his children. He feels that anything morally wrong is sinful, and does his best to speak the truth, though is unsure if it matters given what happen to him. He is mostly tired and very quiet.
Appearance:(Image)
Occupation: Tailor
Can they speak Camelonean Gaelic?: Yes
Why do they live in Cullyburgh: Socially exiled from Kaunu and determined to build out a future for for his children.
How do they feel about Cullyburgh: Dalir feels like Cullyburgh is too seperated and oppressive, however this reminds him of home, so he is content.
Reaction to the Shooting: That green headed teenager shouldn't have run away, so it is his fault
Feelings about the Cameloneans: They are the dominate class so he aspires to be like them, but he finds himself still tied to his Kaunu roots

As a young mother, Shafee'a was more interested in her looks and showing off her pride and joy as a golden baby, better than the children of her sisters and peers. When her father-in-Law fell ill she was increasingly disgusted with having to care for him and thought herself better than a common nurse. When the Elderly Mustafa Meszua died, Shafee'a shed no tears at his funeral. Once moving to Fafaqu, Shafee'a got a reputation as a beautiful woman, with great fashion sense and tended to spend much in a short time. She stared in her first and last performance in a play she wrote, The Tailor's Glorious Wife. Shafee'a was depressed for several years following her miscarriage and spent her days collecting fine art. When she was banished along with her husband, she smuggled her art and jewels into Cullyburgh. Shafee'a gave birth to her second child, a daughter named Nicola (or Nicole). Shafee'a spends her days in her house bitterly remembering when she was a star and prominent member of the Royal Court

Character Application
Name: Mustafa Ali Gezali-Meszua II
Age: 17
Gender: male
Sexuality: Homosexual
Bio: Mustafa Ali Gezali-Meszua (also known as Ali) was born in Iizbul in Kaunu a few years following his parents marriage. His mother was in charge of his day to day upbringing while his father was in charge of his studies, especially tailoring and history and etiquette in the royal court. Mustafa was holding his grandfather's hand when he died when he was just three years old. Upon moving to Fafaqu, he meet with two of the grandsons of the Shah, befriending Prince Qassum and Prince Riza who were close to his age. There were rumours that Mustafa was to be paired off with a lowly granddaughter of the Shah of Kaunu, but there were no seriousness behind this. Mustafa was given a tutor of high standing when he was five years old, learning alongside Qassum and Riza. His Royal status education was cut short when his father was accused of murder and then banished. Mustafa however took the change of status very well for an eight year old, only sad to lose his friend Qassum. Mustafa was a happy child even when his family moved to the island of Tashah, where he learned to swim and made a collection of seashells. Though he lacked playmates and was at the time an only child, he kept himself entertained with his collection, the water and his imagination. When he moved to Cullyburgh, he saw it as a new adventure and was surprised and delighted to see the diverse Foreign Quarter. While his father teaches him the ways of the country Camelone, such as their philosophy, history and current events, Mustafa retains his Kaunuan religion of Isabak and thinks often of his earlier childhood in Fafaqu. He spends his days either working for his father or exploring the Foreign Quarter and seeks to see the rest of Cullyburgh, which he has never seen.

Name: Posteni Al-Shaamsi Huwarz
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight
Bio: The last legitimate descendant of the infamous Huwarz political dynasty, started in earnest by his ancestor Hanna Huwarz, the Triarch of Syirax in the medieval era, Posteni was raised in a position of luxury by his father in his early years. However, during the Turmoil of the 90s, his parents were killed. He was raised by the local Alphenist Temple and has memorized the True Book in it's entirety. Becoming an inquisitor was not his goal in life however, and the renowned ability to piss away money came to him more naturally than being zealous. It is said that a Huwarz is either brutally cunning, or an indulgent hedonist. Posteni is a bit of both. He is primarily a musician, but he also is involved in criminal activity, like pimping and drug trafficking. He isn't without heart however, as he operates a soup kitchen in the poorest part of towns to feed the homeless, as he hates partying and knowing that some others are suffering while he is doing so. He has been exiled by a political rival who really doubts he could lead a coup, but just in case he does, he is forced to move to Cullyburgh.
Family: Posteni is the last male Huwarz alive, his sister lives in Syriax.
Country of Origin: Syriax
Personality: Aloof, careless, power hungry, and horrible with money, but generous towards people affected by tragedy.
Appearance: Like this.
Occupation: Criminal/Soup Kitchen Head
Can they speak Camelonean Gaelic?: They are learning it
Why do they live in Cullyburgh: Legal Exile
How do they feel about Cullyburgh: It's decent.
Reaction to the Shooting: Upset, and will help however he can.
Feelings about the Cameloneans:

Character Application
Appearance:
Image

Character Application
Name: Touya Fujinuma
Age: 50
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Bio: A Native born of what is now AHSCA he lived his life as a fisherman first then became a farmer when he met his wife, Hisako and she became pregnant.
Family: Wife, Hisako, Niece Koyori, Sister-in-law Tamako (not present) several siblings that are still in present day AHSCA
Country of Origin: Aurora Duchy (Now AHSCA)
Personality: Hard worker, very friendly. Outgoing
Appearance: Aged even for 50 he looks slightly older. Buff and built up. Short and tidy silver hair.
Occupation: Works at The Cruit Inn/the Harper usually doing the heavy lifting and stocking from the supply delivery.
Can they speak Camelonean Gaelic?: Yes
Why do they live in Cullyburgh: He became a refugee in the city and hasn't left.
How do they feel about Cullyburgh: He's come to love it.
Reaction to the Shooting: Feels very unease and concerned about potential trouble that might come from this incident.
Feelings about the Cameloneans: Generally very favorable.
Other: Him and his wife took in their niece, Koyori following an incident in the family.

Character Application
Name: Hisako Fujinuma
Age: 45
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Bio: Similar to her husband, Touya she too was born in what is presently AHSCA and came to fall in love with the man who'd be her husband. He's the only one she's ever been with, but she's never inquired about if he's had other relations before with women. Attempts to start a family were largely unsuccessful with their first child and attempts to try again met with failure. Once the war broke out she with her husband fled the islands never to return.
Family: Husband, Touya, Niece, Koyori, Sister Tamako (not present) brother, Yukito (not present)
Country of Origin: Aurora Duchy (now AHSCA)
Personality: A little more reserved than her husband but also friendly
Appearance: A rather thin almost frail looking woman with equally long silver hair of her own.
Occupation: Cook at The Cruit Inn/the Harper.
Can they speak Camelonean Gaelic?: Yes
Why do they live in Cullyburgh: Same as her husband they came as refugees and stayed.
How do they feel about Cullyburgh: She's thankful the city took them in when they were stranded without a country and loves it.
Reaction to the Shooting: She feels awful about it but she's more worried about how it will affect her niece.
Feelings about the Cameloneans: She's rather struck that the nation's people isn't as friendly to foreigners as the city is but she puts up with it.

Jacque now lives in a spartan apartment and keeps up the books for a local fast-food chain.

Good evening, Camelone,
I would like to apply to join this RP with a band of merry Selkie and their inn, the Cruit Inn, famous for its good company, food, music and the Selkie running the place.
Pictures of the characters will be added once I found them... ;)

Building Application
Name: The Cruit Inn/the Harper
Owner: Finnegan Cláirseoir of the Tribe of Conn.
Function: Inn, bar, restaurant, meeting point.
Popularity: I'd say relatively high, so people don't exactly avoid it.
Other:
Building with four storeys, including cellar, rustic design and dark wood. In side-rooms, the odd deal can be made, all within the law, of course. If wished, I can provide a more detailed plan of it as well.

Character Applications
Name: Finnegan Cláirseoir of the Tribe of Conn.
Age: 45.
Family: Wife, two sons, a daughter, two sisters (younger then him), parents.
Country of Origin: The Free Lands of the Selkie.
Personality:
Jolly and good natured person, always with advice or a joke - but you shouldn't anger him.
Appearance: Back home, in tournament garb.
Occupation: Innkeeper of the Cruit Inn.
Can they speak Camelonean Gaelic?: Enough to get around.
Why do they live in Cullyburgh:
    They opened a business there.
How do they feel about Cullyburgh:
Nice town. One can work well here.
Reaction to the Shooting:
Poor laddie, but in the end... own fault, no pity.

Name: Ava Cláirseoir of the Tribe of Conn.
Age: 40.
Family: Husband, two sons, a daughter, three brothers, a sister (youngest), parents.
Country of Origin: The Free Lands of the Selkie.
Personality:
Kind and a bit gentle, but also a silent person - and quite loud, when she had a few too many drinks. And her housemaids are off-limits.
Appearance: This Lady.
Occupation: Cook and head-housemaid of the Cruit Inn.
Can they speak Camelonean Gaelic?:
Relatively well, although there is still an accent in it.
Why do they live in Cullyburgh:
She and her husband opened an inn there.

Name: Marla Glantóir of the Tribe of Westmeath.
Age: 21.
Family: Lots.
Country of Origin: The Free Lands of the Selkie.
Personality:
Outgoing, vivid young woman, quite a dancer.
Appearance: This lassie.
Occupation: Lass for everything at the Cruit Inn.
Can they speak Camelonean Gaelic?:
Enough to get around, although with a heavy accent.
Why do they live in Cullyburgh:
She is learning the ropes of operating an inn, the Cruit Inn had the offer standing.
How do they feel about Cullyburgh:
Good place, with decent people. Mostly.
Reaction to the Shooting:
    Poor sod.
Feelings about the Cameloneans:
Some of them are just too cute.
Bio:
Born in 1996 in Shella, Marla always wanted to work in an inn - she, as the daughter of a fisherman, got her first job in one with 16, soon learning, that it was a lot of hard work and rising up to the task, soon becoming a jack-of-all-trades amongst her fellow housemaids.
After she finished school, she began her regular apprenticeship, learning for two years with her inn in Shella and then going out into the big, wide world - and after a while landing in Cullyburgh.
Her big dream, for now, is to open her own inn.

Name: Felicia Ógbhean of the Tribe of Cork.
Age: 23.
Family: Parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Country of Origin: The Free Lands of the Selkie.
Personality:
Nice, friendly and a hard worker, sturdy - but it takes a while for her to get up and running.
Appearance: This lassie.
Occupation: Housemaid of the Cruit Inn.
Can they speak Camelonean Gaelic?:
    A small bit.
Why do they live in Cullyburgh:
    She has a job there.
How do they feel about Cullyburgh:
    Good place.
Reaction to the Shooting:
    ...which shooting?
Feelings about the Cameloneans:
Relatively neutral - she doesn't know enough of them personally to form an opinion.
Bio:
Born in 1994 in Silverport, Felicia, child of a relatively good family, came into the Inn-Business by her holiday job. When others would go and drag logs or work on the fields to better up the own pocket money, she went and worked in an inn, catering to tourists and locals alike. She quickly became everybody's darling there.
She finished school in 2010 and began ger apprenticeship, soon beginning her Grand Tour, which led her all across the Selkie-Communities abroad - and now to Chamelone.
Felicia is a very good singer and dancer, often enjoying her free time with both.

Hey :p
I'm in the middle of creating an app but I have a question. Would it be possible to have a student in university? Or would that be out of the Foreign Quarter? In which case I can come up with something else.

Yes it would be possible, they would just have to have all their papers in order for the daily checkpoint commute.
