Venla due to anatomy and size prefers to clean herself in a bath or preferentially in a river/pool. She's large and has a large surface area to clean. Nothing really special beyond that. Much like this, but more fungusy. She shakes herself off after and uses towels/airdry for the rest. Her fur is dense, given the oceanic origin of her species.

Sid is a rather utilitarian for showers, much like how Slo described Amanda. Does what he has to, gets his hair cleaned and then gets out.


Maghrl's take a while. Partially because he uses the showers as meditation time. Along with trying to control the flow and descent of the water with the force. Liquids can be a bit harder to control after all and its good practice. It takes him a long ass time getting dry without some sort of air drier though. Squibs luckily are rather short furred, but there's still his whole body.


None of them really use any particular scents. or anything.

UEA, like Tilt said before, you can't advance or skip time at a random. PL's time runs uninterrupted, meaning that only Cerillium or one of his seconds can say things like, "it is now an hour later," but regular players like you and me need to write our characters always in the moment. The only time that passes for regular characters is the time it takes for them to perform their described actions, so we can't say things like, "a few hours later" and such.

It's also generally expected that when moving your character away from someone else's, you have the character give a reason to leave and say good-bye, not merely abandon the story you had with the other player and have your character randomly pop somewhere else. It's totally okay if you don't want to play with Gio or MB, we wouldn't be offended , but you gotta have Akagi ask them to leave, and you gotta remember that she's stuck in the middle of a regular day with no timeskips until the CoOPs say so.

Luce - Ask a Roman and you get a 3-hour long speech about public baths.
Chrys - Freeze time, have a ball in the shower or the bath. No towel or blow dry required - flash heat!
Mathias - Regular shower with a potato skin scrub before rinsing, run through a towel to dry.
Calani - Both. Shave and rinse in the shower, clean in the bath, dry off and reapply floral scents. Air dry hair, towel self.
Cuisine - Quick shower.

Hmmm...

Neste and Nila - usually, all they get is a fast shower. They dust once a month. There is no greater pleasure than dusting. The grains scrape away dead skin cells (reptilian constructs don't molt) and leave them looking very shiny.
Meps - she sheds twice a year. Cleaning is a matter of grinding her skin against sharp objects to lift the dead cells, and then peeling them off. She'll spot wash smudges or dirt but has no real need to bathe.
Minerva - a bath goddess. She'll wrap a scarf around the curlers in her hair while she has her toast and morning tea. When not on a mission, she dabs Evening in Paris perfume behind each ear.
Naomi - showers, usually with the water turned off when not rinsing. Environment, you know!
Marcus - it isn't so much the washing that consumes his time. It's the maintenance of his augmentations. Careful attention is given to every external, articulating part throughout the day, when there's nothing else needing done. Once a week, he'll go in for a proper cleaning for his optic, arm, and legs. He shaves and showers daily.
Myra - a shower, and some gel in the hair does her just fine.
Hans - shave daily, scrub the parts that smell, bathe once a week (pre-Chrys); shave and shower daily (post-Chrys).
Will - bath in a small tub once a week, usually on a Saturday.
Lads - depending upon what time period they're pulled from... some bathe daily, some once a week, and some get dragged out back and hosed off once a month whether they want a bath or not.

Primordial: Showers once a day. In addition to regular soap and shampoo applies blessed waters to safeguard against specific kinds of magics. Hair removal surgery makes beards a non-issue. Applies slightly too much cologne that reminds people of brandy.

Insidious: Long showers at morning and at night. Occasionally short ones at midday. Her nudist life makes cleanliness an important trait and she is very thorough. Uses a varity of exotic smelling plant-based shampoos and soaps. Surgery makes hair and trimming a non-issue.

Aegis: Showers quickly once during the morning and once at night. Uses industrial strength chemicals to clean out potential chemical and biological agents. Uses scent neutral substances to avoid alerting enemies. Surgery makes hair and trimming a non-issue. The mask comes off solely to wash his face.

Once a month the whole group saunas together for half an hour in a hedonistic Greek manner.

Naomi dropped her book as the vision (nay, nightmare!) overtook her senses. It was horrid. Absolutely horrid! Pony lips mashed together and worked like two sets of greedy hands trying to contain twin eels. Was that a tongue? Did I just see a mother fucking tongue? That BITCH!

How dare she! How dare anyone claim what rightfully belonged to the God of Love! Naomi swept off the couch and channeled her energies. What dimension? Where was that silly bitch hiding?


Rache had taken to picking his nose with a broken off bit of tree root after coming down from that melodramatic power trip. He paused, the hoary branch thrusting from one nostril. "Oh... shi-"

His head tipped back and his horsey mouth cracked wide open as though he were about to bray loudly, but it was light that erupted from his throat and not sound. The beam cleaning penetrated the cavern ceiling and melted a tunnel right up to the surface. Naomi emerged and thrust a hand skyward to snatch confused Windigo from the winds.

She strode forward, crushing the little cart bearing tainted fruit. Her second footfall popped Sundae like a ripe grape. But it was no plot that Naomi was here to fix.

Yuna's ears sunk as she began to back away from Aegis. "Oh," her tiny mare head tipped upward to address the angry Love god towering over her group. "Oh, uh..."

"NEVER!" the Love god's voice cracked the earth with its fury. "NEVER!"

The fistful of Windigo screamed as Naomi swung them forward by their tails. They collided with Yuna, driving her right into the ground.

"NEVER TOUCH MY AEGIS AGAIN!" Naomi hauled back and swung her impromptu weapon again, this time releasing the tails. The terrified creatures bounced off Yuna's back. Naomi glanced around at the half-starved Unicorns, and the massive snow drifts, and the startled Chancellor. She shot a malicious glare towards the Windigo (who were still somewhat stunned by the turn of events.) Finally, her eyes came to rest once more on Yuna. "And clean this shit up."

Far away, deep within the cavern, Rache cocked an ear to catch the unmistakable sound of sunshine and daisies popping out of the dimension. He allowed himself to breathe again.

"Friendship is magic," the branch occupying his nostril bobbed as he advised Clover, "But Love is bitch."

BACKGROUND

Education or Training: Hunter training from his parents.

Character Background/Biography: Iso grew up in a small village named Lokomo, which was out of the way of just about everything, far from the rest of civilisation. The only information he ever got from the outside world were from the hunters and representatives of the hunters guild, his own parents included. Every night as a child, he would sit in the guild hall and listen to the hunters tales until well past the time the rest of the village children had gone to sleep.

Because of this, most felt it was no surprise that he became a hunter himself, taking up the longsword like his mother had, although still occasionally training with a light bowgun like his father. As one might expect, he became rather good at it, quickly rising to rank 4 missions.

However, during a particularly gruelling hunt where he had to fight a Rathalos, a powerful wyvern that regularly served as a wake up call for young hunters, he was knocked off a cliff.

When he woke up, he was in a place he didn't recognise, and he was covered in small injuries from the hunt.

• Plutonian Furnace: This collection of glass instruments and organic bladers is used by Luxan’s to brew powerful narcotics. It can brew normal human narcotics easily or with more effort substances unique to the Luxans. Can create some types of poison. Requires various chemical components to create each substance. But not as much as less advanced drug dealers.
• Sense Stylus: A potent artistic tool that allows Insidious to make unique creations by altering the compositions of objects. Can recolor, retexture, reshape, reflavor and rescent objects. Not useful as a weapon but with some precision could be used to pick locks and manipulate fine machinery.
• Dream Draught: This device is used to record a person's dreams. Be plugging it in during the night it records them and they can be effortlessly remembered by plugging it back in while awake. Could be hotwired to read a person's subconscious thoughts.
• Neural Whip: Used by Luxans for friends as well as enemies these consist of alien devices that can force impressions on a humanoid nervous system. Requires a subject be bound and have a nervous system similar to humans. No real gore is created merely horrific sensations.

BACKGROUND

Education or Training: Masters in Genetic Artistry, Masters in Chemical Engineering, PhD in Artistic Interpretation, Basic firearms and self defense training,

Character Background/Biography: Insidious was born in Natlus to a very traditional Luxan household. They sang the long chant every night, sacrificed animals weekly and humans monthly. Her parents tried to live like the prophets never using technology invented past 1937. She lived with twelve other siblings and always struggled to find attention in her large family as a middle child.

To cope she took up painting as a way to rebel. Her parents, who saw literature as the only worthwhile artform were greatly disappointed but after much teenage angst they let her paint and sketch. She blasted through reams of paper at an astonishing rate, pouring her emotions out on surrealist paintings of her dreams, landscapes of the surrounding landscape and portraits. She vented.

One day she was approached by a stranger who admired her work and offered to sponsor her art and help her attend higher education. This sponsor was revealed to be Lillian Wolland a famous surgeon artist from Reala. Insidious told her parents and left despite their concerns.

Wolland quickly helped Insidious master nearly every art form known to Luxan kind. Queer types of music and strange methods of painting that boggled the mind. She learned how to photograph nightmares and sculpt flesh, she practiced growing living canvases and carving reality to suit the needs of each peice. Insidious had never been happier.

It wasn’t long before Insidious learned that Wolland was dying and infertile. She had taken Insidious under her wing not only be a final comfort for her in her dying days but also to be Woollands final piece of art. “There’s no finer artistic creation than making a soul” she told Insidious on her deathbed. That night Insidious went out and purchased Wollands most expensive artistic surgery. A full body color changing skin graft. She sat on an operating table for a full day shrieking in pain and sobbing in misery before she was finished.

Insidious continued her work and began to finish her schooling but her life was lacking the same flare as it once had. That is until she met Primordial. A young up and coming son of a Baron, they met in an art history class. He was there for the history, she was there for the art. But they became friends and bought an apartment together a month later. It was Primordial and his unyielding drive to impress people and live up to his families name that helped Insidious find a new muse. He didn’t seem to let anything get in his way, greedy classmates, stubborn teacher or the laws of physics.

Insidious began her work again in earnest and was picked up by a major artistic licensing company. She spent many years painting prominent building, creating sculptures for Dukes, and shooting small movies for film festivals. She became quite popular and famous.

With her new fame she decided to return home to confront her parents and tell them how much she had missed them and how deeply she loved them despite being so aloof. However when she arrived back in Natlus she found the entire area that had been her home was gone, destroyed by a radiation storm. Her family was dead and she alone all over again. She realized then the cruel nature of the universe. Her family had always spoken of it, how it was chaotic uncaring world of nightmarish meaninglessness. But only now did she understand.

Luckily for her Primordial called before she could sink into total self-annihilation. He told her of an opportunity to travel the universe. Explore new sights and locations, to rob them blind of knowledge and make Luxa remember their names for years to come. Insidious didn’t care about knowledge or becoming national heros, but she was desperate for a purpose that would cure her Ennui. She came along ready to sketch the edges of the dark universe.

Along with Aegis, she and Primordial journeyed across the gulfs of time and space. Primordial stealing books, Aegis devastating armies and her just there to photograph it all. She filled entire galleries with pieces and burned millions more that she found lacking. It’s been a fun distraction but now she’s trapped on Galli and the crippling fear and self-loathing is creeping back into her mind and her art.

Character's biggest strengths: Knows a lot about hunting, and is very good at it, particularly with a longsword.

[b]Character's biggest weaknesses: Pretty much everything else. If it isn't related to hunting, he probably doesn't know it. He is also very shy around new people, only really having known the people in the village all his life.

OBJECTIVES

BACKGROUND

Education or Training: Hunter training from his parents.

Character Background/Biography: Iso grew up in a small village named Lokomo, which was out of the way of just about everything, far from the rest of civilisation. The only information he ever got from the outside world were from the hunters and representatives of the hunters guild, his own parents included. Every night as a child, he would sit in the guild hall and listen to the hunters tales until well past the time the rest of the village children had gone to sleep.

Because of this, most felt it was no surprise that he became a hunter himself, taking up the longsword like his mother had, although still occasionally training with a light bowgun like his father. As one might expect, he became rather good at it, quickly rising to rank 4 missions.

However, during a particularly gruelling hunt where he had to fight a Rathalos, a powerful wyvern that regularly served as a wake up call for young hunters, he was knocked off a cliff.

When he woke up, he was in a place he didn't recognise, and he was covered in small injuries from the hunt.

He'd just been so angry, but he'd never wanted to trigger some kind of trauma!

"Hey, are you alright?"

It was just a small shudder, small enough that some people might not have picked up on it, but the timing indicated that at least some small part of her heard him.

He sighed.

"Alright, listen. I'm sorry I blew up at you. I don't know if you registered anything I was saying, but if you didn't, I've had a bad couple of days. But you have to understand that, while it is a big part of it, I'm not just thinking the war that'll start."

He paused, looking at the ground as he thought back to his actions the day before. How e was trying desperately to negotiate his way out of certain death. How, in the spur of the moment, he guilt tripped Lia into complying peacefully so he could survive. How he guilt tripped a fucking child into going somewhere that obviously held horrible, horrible trauma for her so he didn't have to die.

It made him feel sick.

"She... needs us." He said, before looking up and staring the woman dead in the eye. "Lia needs us. She needs her brother, and you, and anyone else we can find. We have to save her. I have to save her, and I'll need help for that. So please, tell me where I can find her brother, and stop him before he gets killed going after the wrong people!"

He dropped to his knees, lowered his head to the ground, and hoped to god that she'd believe him enough to actually help him.

"I'm begging you, help me save the person who sold her freedom to save me!"
