Introduction

Image
Air South Pacific

142 Rue de la Republique, Noumea, New Caledonia,
The Pacifican Islands
TO: All Concerned
FROM: CEO Roch Vannier

Hello,
Welcome! I should introduce myself, I'm Roch Vannier, the founder and CEO of Air South Pacific. We are a new airline, focusing on customer service. I am legitimately surprised of the growth of my airline since its founding in 2004.

I created my airline during a difficult time in the airline industry. After the tragic loss of Oceanic Airlines flight 815, the Pacifican airline industry spiralled into the ground. Airlines were struggling. Our two largest carriers, Pacifican and Oceanic were tipping on the verge of disaster. ASP struggled for a market share. However, slowly our airline gained recognition for its good service and convenient flights. ASP became the dominant carrier in the South Pacific.

And here we are today. We couldn't have made it so far if it wasn't for you. Our loyal passengers. We extend a hand of thanks as we start the new year of 2017.

Regards
Roch Vannier

Air South Pacific (ASP), is the largest carrier in the South Pacific. ASP operates its fleet of about 30 aircraft from La Tontuta International Airport, in Noumea. Noumea is in a strategic location in the South Pacific, allowing our flights to fly to every single domestic destination easily, from short hops to Vanuatu to long haul flights to Hong Kong.

ASP focuses on good customer service and low fares. We do our best to maintain smiles and create a sense of home for our customers. We have won "Pacifica's Best Airline" award 3 times, in 2004, 2010, and 2016.

ASP flies to dozens of destinations across the Pacific, providing comfortable and good service from Noumea to places over 10,000 kms away. With Air South Pacific, you can visit hundreds of small, Pacific destinations. We do our best to provide amazing service to both our customers and the environment. Explore the Pacific with us, and preserve the beauty of the Pacific for future generations.

Corporate

Air South Pacific is a public corporation, registered in Noumea, New Caledonia, under Pacifican law as an international airline of Pacifica. Unlike larger airlines, ASP does not receive regular financial support from the Pacifican Islands, as it is listed in the Pacifican list of Self Dependent Pacifican Companies of 2016. ASP has not received any financial backing by the First Pacifican Bank or the Pacifican Government, other than a loan of $100,000 for the creation of the airline.
ASP Holdings: 60%

The Government of the Federal Republic of the Pacifican Islands: 10%

For sale and private: 30%

History

Image
A Britten-Norman Trislander, our first aircraft

Air South Pacific was founded in 2004, with a loan of 100,000$ from the government of the Pacifican Islands. Using this money, Air South Pacific loaned a single Trislander. The Trislander served routes from Noumea Magenta Airport, a smaller city airport, to different New Caledonian airports and occasionally, Vanuatu and Fiji. The Pacifican airline industry was experiencing a dip like no other, following the loss of Oceanic 815. However, the small, putty Trislander never failed to fill up and Air South Pacific became the only airline in the islands to actively make a profit in such a difficult time. Customers and guests kept returning as the Trislander was a faster alternate than driving, and that the service provided by the airline, such as small snacks and drinks on these short regional hops.

After a year of operation with the Trislander, we acquired a used A320 from the Pacifican Government for a small amount of money. The Pacifican Government decided to sell ASP another A320 as the airline was beginning to make money, and the government was phasing out A320 transports for government officials. These two A320s flew the same busy schedules, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, working all time to make money. The next year, 2007, the airline industry started to resurge, and using money earned with the nonstop flights of the A320s, Air South Pacific purchased an additional 10 A320s from multiple secondhand sources, such as other airlines and the Pacifican Government. Air South Pacific began to expand more dramatically, and by 2010, Air South Pacific purchased 9 more A320s and 10 A330s. These craft, however, were new, and purchased from the creator of the aircraft, Airbus.

In 2014, the airline purchased 4 more A320s and used their A330s to begin service to far domestic destinations, such as Hong Kong and to more international destinations, such as New York. Now, the airline has over 30 aircraft, flies to destinations across the planet, and brings millions of people to see the beauty of the Pacific.

Our Aircraft Fleet

Image
Airbus A320-200
Airbus A320-200 aircraft are single-aisle, narrow-body regional jetliners used for servicing regional destinations around our hub, Noumea. Featuring innovative fuel saving ideas, A320 aircraft are designed for shorter flights that focus on getting the passengers where they need to be on time, comfortable and safe.

Number in Fleet: 25

Image
Airbus A330-200
Airbus A330-200 aircraft are wide-body, long range aircraft used for Air South Pacific's longest flights, like flights to the American East Coast, with destinations such as New York. It can accommodate over 200 passengers in a 2 class configuration. The A330 is certified to over ETOPS-180, meaning that it can fly with one engine inoperative over water for over 3 hours.

Number in Fleet: 10

Our Livery
Our livery consists of the shortened name of our company, ASP (Air South Pacific), blue engines and the Southern Cross. Our livery is designed to be simple and uncluttered, flexible enough to be used on almost every aircraft, but fast to apply/remove from aircraft, meaning less is put into the paint scheme, and more into our aircraft and service.

Flight Service

Air South Pacific greets passengers with traditional French New Caledonian hospitality and service. Our seat offerings may not be the most special of our competition, but our service, hospitality and food options are guaranteed to be excellent.

Class Economie

Image

Simple, mais élégant
Our new economy class seating provides the best in comfort and value. Using new, state of the art seats, our class economie seats recline to over 20% more than competing budget airline seats. They are finely crafted from a plush material and are dashed in fun, tropical patterns. Served onboard are dashes of traditional French and New Caledonian cuisine. Class economie is offered on every flight.

Class Premieré

Image

Tu maison dans le ciel.
Bonjour! This class is a taste of the best of the South Pacific. A seat that reclines to 153 degrees and a premium 3 course French meal brings to life the elegance of France and the taste of the tropical South Pacific. Classes like Premieré were truly luxuries which to be enjoyed in larger airlines, but we can now bring it to you, and to bring you to the South Pacific.
(Class Premiere passengers receive lounge passes)

Arrivals, Departures, and Connections

Image
La Tontuta Airport, Noumea

Here at Air South Pacific, we only have a rate of lateness of 5%. This means that 95% of our flights reach their destinations on time. However, for the few unfortunate times where we are late, Air South Pacific will do it's best to resolve the situation and provide refreshments. In the event that a flight is cancelled, Air South Pacific will do its best to rebook a flight to the same destination as soon as possible, occasionally calling on other codesharemost likely within 12 hours. In the case a passenger is involuntarily bumped off an aircraft by either overbooking or other causes, if we have a Class Premiere seat available on the next flight, the passenger will be booked upon that seat on the next flight.

If you have a connection on Air South Pacific or one of our associated airlines that you may have missed due to our fault, we will do our best to rebook you. We will guarantee that you will not miss a cruise you will be travelling to, and if so, we will immediately book you into a flight of any airline to your next cruise port of call as soon as possible.

Eco-Friendliness

Connect to a Pacific cruise

Air South Pacific takes the environment extremely seriously. We fly to dozens of ecologically beautiful destinations, such as the white, sandy beaches of Vanuatu, the islands of Southeast Asia, and the beautiful West Coast. Air South Pacific aircraft are one of the most effective and efficient aircraft on the planet, saving on fuel. Speaking of fuel, we do our best to use aircraft grade biofuels for our flights. The aircraft idling time for Air South Pacific aircraft is 32% less then the competition. We reduce the idling time by having the aircraft stand by with engines ignited less. We also fund agencies looking for new ways to develop more efficient aircraft. These are only a small peek of the ways we do our best to protect the beautiful environments of the Pacific and the destinations we fly to.

First, I must thank you for your interest in Air South Pacific. If it was not for people like you, Air South Pacific would not exist. Thank you for your support and application.

I am happy to say that we will accept your application, however, we must reduce the number of flights a week to two. We don't have enough aircraft to service your airport to your desire. I hope you understand.

To: Roch Vannier, CEO, Air South Pacific

From: Joseph Bugaj, President and CEO, Northern Airways

Good evening, Mr. Vannier,

I am sending this on the grounds of starting a codeshare and partnership between our two respected companies. We started off about a year after your company in 2005 and we share similar views, convenience, and safety. At Northern Airways, we believe in cooperation, not competition between companies. We are partners with several companies because of this belief and we offer a variety of services to airlines. I am also looking to procure shares in your company as well, but that is optional and can be discussed at your discretion. I hope that a codeshare can be worked out. Message me via telegram with terms for the codeshare. We await your reply.
We look forward to providing the best service to our passengers.

Sincerely,
Joseph Bugaj, President and CEO of Northern Airways
