Name: Riyal Tashi
Age: 31
Gender: Female
Allegiance paid to: Jedi Order
Rank: Jedi Knight (Jed Sentinel in Particular)
Appearance:
Personality: Calm, pensive, and knowledgable, with a wry, dry wit. She is very patient, and does not fear much, having seen plenty of danger and terror in her galactic travels.
Force Sensitive: Yes
Skills/Powers: Particular skill with Force Sense, Force Absorb, and Psychometry. She is well versed in lightsaber combat, specializing in Form VI: Niman, which relies on adaptive, fluid bladework and the integration of force powers into combat sequences. She also is prone to acrobatics and evasions when on the defensive. She is a known telepath, like most Jedi.
Weaponry: One Blue Lightsaber, with an Illum Crystal, with a rugged, leather wrapped hilt.
Ship: Stole an older Republic Marauder class corvette she later dubbed the "Griffin".
Biography: Born on Ryloth to a wealthy businessman and his mistress, Riyal Tashi was immediately unwanted. Her father contemplated selling her into slavery, but the mother would not allow it, prompting her untimely death at the hands on her lover. Riyal was hidden away at the Merchants estate, and, despite being only an infant, was banished from the main Mansion, and had to live among the livestock and servants. When a Jedi Knight stationed on Ryloth came to investigate reports of abuse among the workers, he found Riyal, who was showing limited signs of Force Sensitivity. Happy to be rid of the nuissance, Riyal's father gave her to the Jedi readily, who returned with her to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.
Joining Bantha Clan, Riyal was noted for her curious mind, and quiet, intelligent nature. At the age of 10, she was taken as a Padawan by the infamous Jedi Sentinel and archeologist, Orus Bain, a Human from Corellia. Despite his allegiance to the Jedi Order, Orus was often on his own, pursing missions of his own choosing in the Outer Rim, particularly with archeological or historical value. Under Bain's tutelage, Riyal become well versed in Galactic History and Lore, and had much more "real life" experience than her Jedi peers, only visiting the Temple rarely.
In 22 BBY, Orus and Riyal were recalled to the Jedi Temple to deal with the Geonosis Crisis, but arrived too late to join Master Windu's strike force. During the Clone Wars, Orus and Riyal, due to their extensive experience in the field, were agents of Republic Intelligence, and soon proved themselves skilled spies, scouts, and squad leaders for the Clone Commandos. In 21 BBY, Riyal was knighted, and soon pursued her own missions, though she did not take a Padawan, viewing such a task as detrimental to her missions.
In 19BBy, when Order 66 was issued, Orus and Riyal were exploring possible Separatist threats on the Ancient Moon of Jedha, when their Commandos turned on them. Orus held off the troopers long enough to escape, but Riyal lost her lightsaber in her flight. Returning to the scene of the battle, she retrieved her old Master's weapon, and swore to continue the Jedi Order through her actions. She then escaped the world on the "Griffin," and began to traverse the Galaxy once more.

*checks* Well, I'll be. Seems kind of insulting to have her die off-screen like that. And in a "reference book" too.
In Canon she was killed at the Temple by Anakin, it was shown in Yodas vision at the end of the Clone Wars.
However, Canon is stupid, and Legends is much more fun, with her surviving until around 3 BBY
Darth Sidious, newly declared Emperor of the Galactic Empire, soon arrived and snatched what remained of Vader's body from the bank of the lava river, placing him on a medical capsule and willing him to live. He then took Vader back to Coruscant, repairing the damage to Vader's body through intensive cybernetic enhancements with help from arcane Sith healing techniques at the newly renamed Emperor Palpatine Surgical Reconstruction Center. He was repaired and rebuilt over a period of several days by a hyper-sophisticated Ubrikkian prototype DD-13 medical assistant droid named DD-13/HK, a 2-1B surgical droid by the name of 2-1B/DRX, and an enhanced FX-6 medical assistant droid. The Ubrikkian "Galactic Chopper" DD-13/HK oversaw the installation of his cybernetic implants, prosthetic limbs, and synthetic organs, and the FX-6 performed numerous blood transfusions and stabilized the terrible damage done to Vader's eyes, vocal cords, scalp, face, arms, legs, and especially his lungs. Both droids spent much time connecting Vader's severed nerve endings to his new robotic parts. The surgery was also less than pleasant; 2-1B/DRX deliberately did not perform reconstructive cosmetic surgery to Vader's face, as it would be hidden behind the mask. The process included eight hours to supply artificial implants to his internal organs, two and a half of which were dedicated to implementing the linkages. Budgetary limitations and lack of effective equipment imposed by the Empire also acted as a factor to the shoddy attempts at repair, with DD-13/HK speculating that the limitations may have been deliberately orchestrated by the Emperor in order to ensure Vader didn't rebel. 2-1B/DRX likewise ordered for Vader's helmet to be waxed with woodoo hide in the hopes that the resulting shine would distract Palpatine from the shortcuts they were forced to implement during the surgery. In addition, the blackened and dead flesh on Vader's scalp that was exposed to the heat of Mustafar was surgically removed, although the scarring itself penetrated to his bones.

Denied, for now. Some of those ships aren't even from Star Wars (They are too far fetched for a Hutt to have) plus if the Republic caught him using his ship illegally (why would the Republic allow a small time criminal, let alone a hutt join the navy?) he would of been court marshaled and sent to prison, probably for life, or at least several human life times considering he's a Hutt.

So could I retcon the fleet part and have him just be a tactician that's looking to join the Confederacy?
I might shape him into a crime lord that got the tactics elsewhere, I'm also thinking of having him join the republic navy, get a court martial and arrested, then is broken out of prison by some mercenaries that he contacted using his underground connections, that's what I'm planning on doing as a backstory, just going to make sure if that would be ok with you.

Brain worms are under hive mind control of the Queens of Geonosis. The primarily serve a role of protecting them by possessing dead Geonosians in the catacomb temples to defend their Queen. Although we have witnessed geonosians use the brain worms to try and control people, those said people had to be lured to the temple and then taken all the way down to the Queen's nest chamber to be infected.
It's as such practically impossible for someone to get infected by a brain worm in a timely manner that their disappearance wouldn't be noticed.
As well Geonosians are a traditional and conservative people. They likley only are willing to use the worms for functions other than guarding the Queens if that person they are going to possess holds some form of strategic or political value that controlling them would be beneficial.

It's an alternate timeline yes, but the Point of Divergence is Anakin's attack on the Separatist Council on Mustafar, which happened after her canonical death at the Jedi Temple.
Gotcha, never seen an RP based on that point before.
Ill have to ask for OP exemption

That's my favourite part of the EU - The endless, endless lore and worldbuilding creating an elaborate, real-seeming society. Wookiepedia could be documenting actual history for all the detail they go into.

You're missing the point of the paragraph. It's silly as shit.
"deliberately did not perform reconstructive cosmetic surgery to Vader's face, as it would be hidden behind the mask."
" 2-1B/DRX likewise ordered for Vader's helmet to be waxed with woodoo hide in the hopes that the resulting shine would distract Palpatine from the shortcuts they were forced to implement during the surgery."
There was a lot of really dumb shit.
For the majority of bad things in the old EU there was some great stuff; KOTOR 1-2 (SWTOR is shit), The Dark Forces and Jedi Knight Series, The Thrawn Trilogy (minus Luuke).
As time has gone on, more and more stuff from the EU has been made canon. Delta Squad, Darth Bane, Hammerheads, and even Revan was almost made canon
It's cause of people, like David Filoni who loves things from the EU who keeps adding things to Rebels (Thrawn). So don't diss on the new canon, cause more keeps getting added.

Why would most colonists on a backwater world such as Tatooine care if you go missing? You're right in all other regards.Great Franconia and Verana wrote:In Canon she was killed at the Temple by Anakin, it was shown in Yodas vision at the end of the Clone Wars.

Wasn't it in canon she was executed onboard the Invisible Hand before Anakin and Obi-Wan in a RoTS deleted scene?

No you can see her on the council late in the movie. The scene was deleted for a reason

No Hutt would be allowed into the Republic navy as their species has a strong penchant for crime. However if you wished to have him be a criminal of some higher regard who got captured then escapes that is perfectly fine. You could say he got his tactical skill from fighting rival pirates and such over Hutt territory or something similar
